Service was excellent. I called for an appointment. I was told to bring it in the same day. They gave me a quote by the end of the day which was extremely reasonable. Repair were completed within 2 days. Great shop, great staff. Anytime I need mechanic repairs I will be returning!

Overall my experience at Whitehall Shell is good. I wish the young people working at the desk were better trained in customer service. They need to learn how to listen and remember they are representing Stuarts establishment.

My passenger floorboard was wet after rain. Carl knew exactly what caused it (sunroof tubing). I was able to bring it in the same day as I called. Soon after, there was the same issue and they looked at it immediately and fixed it - no charge. They stand by their work.

Ive been using this business since I first learned how to drive which was years ago. I recently had an issue with my wheel where it looked bent out of shape and the tire slowly leaked air. I took it to a different mechanic at first who said there was nothing wrong with the wheel after a simple glance. I insisted something was wrong so he referred me to a tire shop and they gave the exact same response with a simple look while telling me to replace my front tires. Long story short, I ended up having to bring my car to Whitehall after dishing out money to other businesses that didnt fix the issue. Carl did a great job identifying the problem and informing me on what his plan was and fixing it in a timely manner. Thanks!

Close to my home, been to this location 2x for inspections. The first appointment ran late to start and finish which was frustrating (but I made my appointment on a Friday at 12pm when everyone was probably starting to take lunch, which was partly my mistake.) I was compensated with a discount and an apology, so I returned for the second inspection. The second one was perfect - they fit me in at the last minute and were finished even earlier than they said they would be. Very friendly staff, and during both visits, as I was waiting I overheard customers call from other shops in area asking for this Shell to remediate some issue they couldnt get resolved where they were at. I would bring my car here for work if needed.

I want to thank Rashi, Carl and Monica for the outstanding service that they provided me. I brought my car in for an emissions inspection and they resolved an issue that I was dealing with for the past 3 months. It only involved 4 screws. I took my to the dealership on route 1, Academy Ford who wanted to charge me almost $1000. to replace parts that I didnt even need!!! The other repair shop had my car for 2 days and couldnt figure it out. Shell had my car for 1.5 hrs and fixed it!!! 4 SCREWS!!!! I HAD TO BUY THEM LUNCH!!!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

Trust the negative reviews. I can’t speak to the level of auto service but the customer service is horrendous.I pulled into the lane near (but not in anyway blocking the garage) this morning and was ignored for 15 - 20 minutes by at least three employees. I waved to one to ask the procedure and was ignored. Once he finally acknowledged me, it was to aggressively jump out of the car he was moving to tell me I had “everybody jammed up.” If I had every jammed up that means you saw me correct? And who exactly is everybody? I was in NO WAY blocking either lane or him as he backed up. I intentionally backed far away from him to leave space. He literally SHOUTED “Is there something I can help you with?” Again. After I was ignored for over fifteen minutes. When I told him what I needed, he told me that I needed to move. He didn’t mention the procedure for getting help, where he wanted me to wait, or anything else that would imply he had any intention on actually helping me. Just that I needed to move. Again I was NOT blocking him in anyway.I called into the shop to explain my experience and was told for several minutes how I should have essentially put on a song and dance to be noticed. When you bring an automobile to an auto service center is it not implied that you are seeking auto service!? Again, I attempted to get the attention of at least two employees. I’ve literally NEVER been yelled at by someone in the auto industry (or any customer service professional for that matter). As a woman who attempted to get service on my own, this was a demoralizing and extremely disrespectful encounter. Beware. If you fit a certain profile, I assume you will be treated well. If you don’t, good luck. This entire encounter took place in front of my three year old son. Absolutely disgusting.

Absolute best place for car maintenance and repairs, fair and trustworthy.You will be well taken care of. It is the only place we take our vehicles and have been for 20+ years. Anytime you have a concern or question Carl will take the time to talk to you.

Whitehall shell has got to be one of the best gas stations/garage I have ever been to. The staff inside the store are incredibly helpful and kind. The mechanics in the garage are hard working, honest, good-hearted, and loyal. Everything about this place reflects solely on the owners; Stuart and Dawn Downden. Stuart himself is all the qualities named above and more. That man has changed my life for the best. The one person I can count on and trust. He is tough, but fair. I would recommend anyone I encounter to go to this station for any work to be done on their car. They will get an honest estimate and honest work.

I run a shop down the road from these guys. We do not do inspections, so I take all our cars to them for inspection. Great service, quick, easy and trustworthy.

I’ve been getting my cars fixed at Whitehall for a while now. They always do a great job on our american and import cars. If something still doesn’t work after they fix it, they will make sure they get it right. Very friendly and professional.

Came to get work done Carl is very good, friendly, helpful, everyone was on there feet and trying to help me out. Such a good place to get work done on your car always tells you the right thing rather than just wanting your money like some other places I’ve been too

Disappointed is an understatement... Total rip off. NEVER going back. I wish I could give it 0 stars but then I wouldnt be able to post a review. I went there because my check engine light came on and my car was driving funny, they charged me $600(total) to replace my oil and thermostat on two separate occasions($300 per visit). Again, two separate occasions because the problem wasnt diagnosed properly and fixed the first time. I was also misinformed - I was told that some cars come without an oil light/indicator, mind you, my car is a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited, which does, in fact, come equip with an oil light - you can see it come on when you insert the key. My sensor just needed to be replaced, which they didnt even bother checking, instead he tells me that my car just came without one. In the process of whatever they did, THEY bent my rear main seal and caused a severe oil leak causing me to lose about 1 qt. daily. Every time Ive gone in there, no matter how nice I am, the women in the front ALWAYS seem to have an attitude - rolling eyes, on their phones, sighing, rude tones, flat out ignoring MULTIPLE customers in the shop, etc. - if you dont wanna deal with customers, you shouldnt be in CUSTOMER service. I ended up taking my car elsewhere because I noticed the leak and I was still having issues, a different issue than before and I didnt want to take it back to them. The other shop informed me that whoever worked on my car at Shell did the damage to my rear main seal and showed it to me - it literally looked like someone took a hammer to the bottom of it. Im beyond angry with the service me and my car were given at Shell - I wasnt planning on taking it back there to begin with and now Im definitely not. I wouldnt even go back there to put $5 worth of gas in my car.

Called in advance for a state inspection. The girl told me to come in before 4pm. I got there at 3:30pm. When I got there they said they never spoke with anyone on phone and told them to come in before 4. All lies... I refuse to leave. I should have ran out that door! The guy was so mad that he had to do the inspection. He failed me for tint that was so light. I know he was mad about doing the car in the first place. Don’t go there!! They have bad customer service. Terrible place.

I have always had excellent service. Dawn, Casey, Amanda are all great! Carl is awesome and has always taken good care of my VW Jetta. No complaints.

Made an appointment for Noon and showed up for a MD State Inspection. Sat for two hours without even having my car looked at nor did anyone come check on me.

This place is pitiful, they are scammers. Last time I’m ever coming here. I took my car for an inspection of $90 which is already overkill compared to other places that charge 60-70 dollars and they lied about my inspection and failed me for something that is not valid.
