Their service cannot be beat! No matter what size job Ive rolled into their lot, it gets done and I know I can trust the work without a second thought. For anyone worried about pricing, youre paying for the guarantee that whatever they fix, it will be fixed correctly and without cutting corners. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that wants to get the job done right the first time.

These guys are top notch. They were closing at 6 last night when I rolled up to the shop with a traction sensor issue. Turns out my new suv tires were all each 10 lbs overfilled! They took care of me immediately and even did a full diagnostic test this morning and fixed my tire sensors finding that my tire sensors had not been recalibrated after the recent updates at the car lot I purchased my vehicle from. Thank you so much Tom and staff! :)

Toms customer service was top-tier. He was upfront and honest the entire time. Their quotes are fair and honest. They fixed up my old beater in a timely manner and even did extra work in inspecting other issues. Its obvious they truly care about the work they do! They didnt do as good as I think they shouldve. It definitely doesnt look the prettiest but its functional🤷🏻‍♂️. Its going to have to be redone sooner rather than later. I got charged $950 for subpar work so you decide if its worth it or not for you. I didnt have any time and was in a pinch, if thats your situation, Id still recommend going somewhere else. The people were nice but youre not going there for the people, youre going there for your vehicle to get fixed.

Got an oil light/ leak diagnosed. Guy said it was the main rear seal which is way more costly to fix than the actual problem, which was an oil pressure switch. Always get a second opinion

I have been using Tom at Tuffy since about 1998. Through many vehicles they have always been honest and upfront. I have been able bring cars I wanted to purchase and their advice has kept me from costly repairs. I have been given alternative options for when repairs needed done and also time-frames for how long I may have until a repair is needed. They have always gotten me in when needed and even got a tow for me when I couldnt get service. Tom isnt a beat around the bush guy but he isnt trying to break you. Always honest whether I want to hear it or not. This isnt a bandaid shop, its a repair done right.

I have been coming here for 20+ years. I have sent family here as well as coworkers and friends. I do that with a clean conscience. Tom and his crew are always prompt and true blue. They will explain in detail the problems and what is must do and what can wait a bit. This independently run shop uses only OEM parts or notify if that is not possible and stand by their guarantee without question. As long as Tom and his crew are here, so will I be. A good mechanic is like a good doctor, a must.

Fast, Quality Service. I needed a valve cover gasket replaced and these guys fixed it in great time and for a very reasonable price. Tom and his staff are really friendly and were great about going over the inspection and estimate. They really are the kind of folks youd want working on your car - Good, honest mechanics.

These guys are seriously the most straight shooting people when it comes to cars out there! Tom is incredibly nice and helpful. They have found the actual problem with my car each time, and then fixed it, which has unfortunately not been the case most of my car owning life with other places. They offered to give me a ride home or be picked up. They are quick to get the parts in and fixed as well. Then when something went wrong that they previously fixed, they fixed it again for free as stated in the warranty they would. It’s expensive yes, but also with a 12 month warranty and outstanding customer service? Worth it.

I took my car there without making an appointment because my check engine light was flashing. They hooked my car up, told me what was wrong, how they would fix it, and gave me an estimate. They were willing to work with me and let me know what could and couldnt wait to be fixed, and they had it done by the end of the day. They were so helpful!

Several years ago, I became frustrated with the runaround and ridiculous maintenance invoices I received from the service department at the car dealer where I purchased my car. I called Tuffy in BG, and after speaking to Tom on the phone, I agreed to take my car into his shop for service. I quickly learned that I got better and more reliable service from Tom and his staff at Tuffy than I had been receiving from the service department of the local dealer in BG where I purchased my car. The maintenance cost are either comparable, or more often, less than what I was paying at the dealership. The guys at the Bowling Green Tuffy have been taking care of my cars for the last 3 years, and I have not seen any reason to go anyplace else.

We brought our car here for the two years that we lived in BG and have nothing but positive things to say. Everyone was nice, professional, and helpful. Service was quick and reasonably priced. I never felt like I was being lied to to make an extra buck or recommended things that werent actually needed. We took our car here for regular oil changes as well as more significant, detailed repairs and the service was always top quality. The shop has free loaner cars (amazing!) and is located by Walmart and some other shops in walking distance if you want to wait. Highly recommended!

Went in for an over heating Jeep. They said it was a head gasket and leaking radiator. (I had just put a new radiator in maybe 3 months before) which I didn’t believe but I was stuck in bowling green visiting friends so I had no choice but to get it fixed there since I had a tuffy scarf from my home town in Amherst. They put a new radiator in and tried sealant to temporarly fix the head gasket . It cost me 600$. I made it back home after stopping every 20 minutes to let it cool. It is normally a 1 1/2 hour drive took me 5 and some change . I took it to my uncle who’s a machanic he ran tests and said the head gasket was fine and it was a pin hole in a radiator hose. And as for the real problem . It was a water pump. No problem with the head gasket or anything. I filed a appeal to get the charge off the credit card and when they got ahold of tuffys. Tuffys wrote the card company a completely false statement on what they said the problem was . 6 or 7 of my friends and family in the area have stopped using them and I certainly never will again .

I my muffler rotted out right by the flanges just behined the O2 sensor. I started at Midas, the guy I spoke with was very nice and showed me exactly where the problem was. He knew that I was coming with a muffler issue but informed me that it would be tomorrow before they could do it because that guy was off today. He also gave me an estimate of f129.99 or $229.99 depending on if the sensor needed replaced. I called this Tuffy location and aspoke with Walt. He was very nice and gave quote of $75.00 and could do it right away. I paid up front went to do what I needed and came back an hour later and my car was good as new. Thanks guys, especially just a few days before Christmas. I really appreciate it.

These people are crazy expensive between just labor(519$) and parts(574$)was over 1000$ I go to rock auto and the parts are 200$ total and someone offered to do it for 200$ labor they know what they’re doing but they rob you blind

They do a really good job!

Be wary of this shop. The quality of there work seems ok, however there prices are crazy high. They charge a ridiculous markup on parts and far over charge on labor, Jobs that should take 1 hour are quoted at 2-3 etc.Dont bother bringing in a coupon from the valpak mailer or paper etc, they use the tried and true bait and switch, after they quote you a price and you try and then use the coupon you will get the I already figured that into the price, I just give everyone the discount. In other words, the coupons are strictly to get you in the door for the hard sell.

They overcharged for normally cheap repairs and for parts. They also tried to get me to have them perform unnecessary expensive repairs.
