I love the pine Street stop & shop because of the pharmacy. The people working there are the best. They really care about their customers and keep an eye on their medications. I have had the pharmacist tell me that I couldnt take a medicine that my doctor called in because it was on my allergy list. They have gone out of their way to find money saving programs for me when Ive been prescribed very expensive medications. Ive been with them for 6 years and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

The pharmacy and staff are excellent, definitely 5+ stars. Cant say enough about them. Theyre on top of everything, responsive, knowledgeable, very helpful, keep your health and safety a priority, theyre very friendly and personable. They seem to really know all their customers personally. Unike other pharmacies, theyve never made a prescription error in all the years Ive come here and theres almost never a wait, they go out of their way for you.I think its the only reason I still shop here though (convenience). Although they recently got new shopping carts (yay!), their price guns are always freezing or break midway through shopping and need to switch to a new one... if there are even any available and charged. Ive found most deli, meat, seafood, and stocking staff friendly and helpful. Im hoping theyll continue to update and improve other areas of the store or I may begin to shop at another nearby store.

The got rid of Boars Head deli meats now all they have is the disgusting stop n shop brand 🤢🤮. Way to kill your previously awesome deli!!!

Nasty dirty storeCame in today to pick up cold cuts for back to school. Cold cut counter had absolutely NO PRICES ON ANYTHING! One person working and a line of people! How do I know what anything costs? I don’t and the deli person didn’t either unless he weighed it. How ridiculous on a day when everyone is shopping for lunch/back to school. Also while waiting there was a gentleman vaping! Store looked filthy and out of stock! No cashiers had to check out myself, needed help nobody came. Only reason I came here was because Rt 6 Shoprite had lots of construction.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This store has gone downhill in the worst way. Dirty, run down and the shelves are never stocked even before the pandemic. Don’t even get me started on the rude deli counter employees. Do your self a favor and go anywhere but here.

My experience this day was okay. After collecting my items, The self checkout lanes seemed worst then the regular checkout lanes. To many quick alert which holds up help for easy solutions where they could be useful maybe/possibly else where.

Everything i wanted was there, i didnt have to go to another Supermarket.

Good store however I usually shop at Farmington Ave location - both stores need to get more front end staff on registers and to bag. I see too many cashiers/supervisors standing around up front not helping customers bag ( they rather chat or pretend to be busy) I’ve had to bag my groceries at 9:30 am on two occasions because staff was just standing around doing nothing. One of the supervisors watching me bag too. She didn’t offer to help. I also had cases of water under the carriage ( which 2 supervisors from Farmington Ave told me “ oh we don’t have customers pick up the cases to put on the register because they can get hurt “ they said “ have the cashier or the bagger lift the cases “ it’s their job! “ well then they aren’t doing their job because I bagged and lifted cases many times myself practically throwing my back out. I also worked for Stop and Shop briefly like 10/12 years ago we never had the customer bag ( unless they wanted to) please hire more cashiers and baggers or get the lazy supervisors/ managers to bag up front. Also I have an elderly family member who shops at Seymour, Southbury, Shelton stores ( She SHOULD NOT have to bag her groceries or any elderly customer for that matter ) My suggestion : HIRE MORE STAFF! Thanks

I like Stop and Shop. I like the fact you can scan your own groceries, bag them at the same time and then just scan the barcode on the scanner to pay for your groceries. So much easier! I wish all the other grocery stores would do the same thing.

I hate this store. They never have what I need. Everything is so expensive. I always walk in circles because the layout is all wrong.

Ive been going there for years theyre always clean and the people there are always friendly and helpful they always have the Brands I like also

I usually love this store as it is smaller and always very well organized. However, I was shocked yesterday afternoon (7/16/20) when I went in wearing my mask as required, and no longer found any one way designated aisles as they have used since the pandemic began. Every single one had been taken up off the floors. I asked an employee why this was the case and was told that they had cleaned their floors recently so the arrows had come up. I asked if they were going to be put back down and I was told well, it wasnt really enforced anyway. I cannot believe this stores management would think this is no longer necessary when we are still in the middle of a pandemic. In fact, CTs numbers have started to go up again. I will no longer feel safe shopping at this store and it disappoints me they are choosing to ignore such simple guidelines of social distancing and having customers stand six feet apart in lines. This is no time to get complacent.

Prices have risen outrageously high in the last year, probably the cost of the union victory being passed on to the customers by nickle and dime price increases all over the store. Shopped here every week for 7 years, usually spend about $100 per week. My shopping list hasnt changed, but the prices sure have. Customer service has gotten lousy, also. Had a rude cashier named Makaia. My wife has been begging me to switch to Aldis because of the low prices and now Ive had enough, Stop and Shop has lost me for good.

I love buying at this stop and shop unfortunately the bakery has messed up my order twice thw first time I went and my nephews cake wasnt even done mind you I was an hour late picking it up. Now I order a cake for my husband and I called for a 2nd time because I wanted to add to my order and the lady tells me THEY DONT HAVE AN ORDER FOR ME. How of I called 2 houra before... Im so irritated. The lady was making me fwwl like I didnt call thw right place when I ONLY USE PINE STREET STOP AND SHOP. After today you wont get any more orders from me.

This us the only place I can find the Bacardi mixers to make strawberry daiquiris. But they only had one registrar open with a human and six self serve registrars open. What did they go on strike for NOBODY is working,just the machines...ugh!

Meat department guy was very rude just tried to ask him couple questions and he couldnt wait to get away from me Stop & Shop is just down the street from me and I go to a different grocery store because of the people that work in Stop and Shop Im not very friendly at all this isnt the first incident the person in the fruit Department was very nice but a couple more people that I encountered on Tuesday night 30th of December need some training how to deal with customers

Consistently disappointing. This Stop and Shop has the worst produce section! They always seem to be low or out of stock of many of their vegetables and salads. The few produce items available for sale are old, rotting, and bruised. It should not be this difficult to obtain fresh produce from a store. If you want quality fruits and vegetables, go elsewhere.

The store was clean and organized as usual. The staff was friendly. Stayed away from the automated tellers. Looked liked everyone was having a problem with them. Something a good Union person should do any ways. Unfortunately the selection was not there. They seem to be pushing new stuff and not the old standards.

Its just okay good be better

I used to love this S&S, however its gone downhill these past few months. Theyve always had a good selection of ground meats, now it seems like whenever I go they only have ground beef and nothing else. Idk if its just bad timing on my part but it happens every time! Not only the selection of meat has dwindled, the produce is not fresh like it used to be. For example, on many occasions I would see fruit flies near the onions. And when I would try to find a fresh onion, I would have to dig and dig to find a semi fresh one. Then another time I saw an employee picking out rotted strawberries from their packages which I would be fine with if I paid by weight and not have to pay a set price. Those were just a few issues Ive had.... I know its just nit picking at this point but when you add all the negative things up it makes a big difference. Its too bad because I really loved this S&S. I give three stars because the staff are very friendly and it is a clean store despite some of the produce not being fresh. And like others have said the deli department has awesome service.

The manager kick me out the store cause i had to many bottle returns i had so many cause its been closed down for 6 months and when the manager seen how many the bottle return worker was letting me do he started yelling at his workers and calling me names and so me and my wife cursed him out he got his feelings hurt called cops and my job not knowing that the bottle return workers uncle is the next town over chief of police and which is my bosses best friend and the worker told his uncle about how that manager treated me my wife and his workers im gonns do all i can to get victor gone from his job cause now my wife cant go get her meds or groceries from there but i will not spend another cent there ig makes me sad we really us to like this store.

Poor customer service at the gas station. My receipt clearly stated I had $.40 off gas but pump was only showing $.20. The staff member at the station couldn’t override the pump and stated I had to go back into the store if I wanted the $.40 off. Then pump wouldn’t read as my credit card. I went to the rep again and she couldn’t just start the pump so I can fill up. She had to know an exact amount I wanted to charge. I’m better off going to cumberlain farms.

Kitchen continues to slide. The only hot food was fried chicken with so much batter it was inedible or chicken enchiladas packaged in melted plastic, yuck! Who is running this place?

My wife likes it, it seams that every so often they will change a product that they carry, just get use to something and they no longer carry it. This has happened several times to us.New post, October 9th, 2020, on this visit to the store riding my handicap scooter down the sidewalk I came to a congested area, (see photos) a rack with pumpkins was blocking my way, trying to get by this rack my scooter wheel was riding on the edge of the sidewalk, i was afraid of falling over into the roadway. I very carefully made it past the obstacle and went into the store and asked to see the store manager, he was bagging at a register, i told him that there was a problem outside that he needed to take care of, told him what it was, and he said he will look into it later????? This is a problem as someone could get seriously injured

Typical store experience. Nothing special. A good store with WAY TOO MANY SELF CHECK OUTS. I dont like them.

Stocked, clean and the workers are friendly

I have been going to this Stop and Shop since it was built. I have to say that it has NEVER been worse than it is now. They have nothing stocked and what they do have, you have to check the expiration dates because ALOT are expired. The have gotten rid of merchandise that used to run out of all the time. To me, you should order more, nope, they discontinue stocking them. They have put more of their brand up, which is fine, but dont get rid of the other products. The best and friendliest department is the meat department. ( They have nothing to do with their prices, which is a whole other topic).. I hope they straighten out soon, talking to other customers, they will lose quite a few people.

I like this Stop&Shop. It is clean and they have a variety of organic foods. This is where I was able to find organic baby food and snacks for much less than Amazon which is impressive. 4 stars only because the fruits and veggies cost more compared to other grocery stores.

They have a lot of variety. Many people complain the prices are too high but I dont really see a difference between this stores prices and anywhere else. One of the best deli sections of a chain grocery store. Clean store as well.

Used to use the Stop and Shop in Vernon and very rarely had a problem. It seems every time that I go into the one in Bristol I have to go to the service desk for something. Special signage is not update and then becomes a problem at the register. Rather than the service desk giving the customer the benefit of the doubt they take the take it or leave it attitude and tell me I should have taken the flyer and read it more carefully. The few time I had a rain check nobody seems to know what to do with it. Back to the service desk. This store is still the most convenient and I know how to use it but going to make the effort and switch. Plenty of other grocery stores in this area.

I have always loved the convenience of this store however lately only 2 registers open. Remaining all self check. Last week only 12 item register was open and I had to check 100.+order and bag it myself at self check. Will reconsider shopping here next time.

They have fixed the customer service issues. Prices are almost gouging, but arent really under their control. Its clean. Its convenient. Their variety needs improvement. Its like a super-sized convenience store.
