It is a small selection however the staff is always friendly and they usually have what I want.

Attention Management/owners of Merwin Liquors. Agree with other reviews, this location has some of the rudest people working that Ive ever encountered for retail. I usually go in the morning or early afternoons and I really like those cashiers, they say hello, etc. normal customer service etiquette that one should get. Last night (1/21/19) I made the HUGE mistake of going at 7pm. There were 4 women working, but only one working behind the counter when I walked in. The other 3 were getting high in the office. There was a strong weed smell while I waited next to the register closest to the entrance and office doors, I was unable to escape the weed smell. Made me wonder what kind of business is Merwin Liquors? Not common to walk into a business in MN and smell weed. I do hope people dont get secondary THC from walking in there. Such a brazen act with the local BP Police bldg just a block away. Not very smart! Ive never experienced such rude unprofessionalism by Merwin BP employees, I was totally interrupting them getting high. How dare me! As usual Im buying multiple cases of beer, just need someone to grab a dolly and roll it out. I pay, have my current ID, am not paying with all quarters or singles or buying while drunk, I dont hang around and loiter, Im not noisy and messy, I go in-pay-and get out. Im a great repeat customer, right? Merwins makes $ off me, I buy at least 10-12 cases/month spending at least $275/month here in @ 3-4 diff trips. This has never been a problem with morning or afternoon employees nor has it ever been a problem at any other liquor store-ANYWHERE. But with these 4 women it was a BIG problem. To watch those 3 women all pile out of the office, higher than kites was nothing short of a Fast Times at Merwin Liquor moment that I so rudely interrupted. The manager?? If you can call her that, and if shes not the mgr, shes def the ring leader of bad behavior, bad customer service and all around disrespect towards customers. She cant even look at you and is actively trying to ignore you, she acts like you are not standing right in front of her, she looks just enough forward and slightly left or right of you to look like shes way too busy scanning the store or something with a deadpan serious look, shes not to be bothered-especially by a customer. I did see her grabbing shot bottles, maybe she was restocking, maybe not? Either way, she was too busy to be bothered with the only customer in the entire store. She has the whole Dont bother me cuz Im too busy looking like Im working look down, to a T. I should have just left right then and there, took my $100 to the nice liquor store in the strip mall just across the street or the others down Brooklyn blvd, heck any other liquor store but BP Merwins. The other women acted the exact same way. WOW, its really Aweful to put up w Merwin Liquor BP employees, they are beyond RUDE & unprofessional. Only woman who was even remotely nice, she could only muster up a smile, thats it. Like I stated above, maybe they should lay off smoking weed & work on customer service skills training, or be fired. That behavior would never be acceptable anywhere else & will result in losing customers and loss of sales which is lost revenue. I WILL NOT be returning, nor will my husband who also agrees that BP Merwins Liquor is not customer friendly. We will gladly even pay more to be treated better someplace else. The person in charge of this location should be fired, if they are not aware of this bad behavior then they are not doing their job. This was the worst liquor store visit Ive ever experienced. With no one else in the store but myself and 4 women employees, all behind the counter just standing there, they watched me roll out the cart, pull up my car to door, load my trunk, not one could be bothered to help in any way. I will NEVER return to this location, EVER! SHAME ON YOU Merwin Liquors!
