I came in looking for gravel bike accessories and Nick was so quick to help me with what I needed. He recommended I’d get 2 water bottles for when the adventure gets too deep into the woods, helped me figure out what CO2 set up I should get for potential flats, and even commented on my recent rescue of a goodwill bike I took under my wing to restore. It was a lovely experience. Allister (Not sure if it’s spelled with 1 or 2 L’s) checked me out at the register and made the experience smooth. I had a wipeout on my bike a few weeks ago resulting in a bent rear wheel. Took it here for repair - they were very fast in putting on a replacement wheel (same day) at an affordable price. Great store with a nice layout, it looks like they have a nice selection of new bikes to choose from as well. Would recommend.

I brought my Trek Antelope 830 bicycle in for an overhaul because the tires and other components had well over 25 years of use. Vince took my old bike, put in on a stand and suggested to me what would be required to bring this bike into riding condition. The cost was a little more than I had anticipated but after seeing the repairs, I was very pleased. Now I have basically a brand new bike that fits me and my riding needs. The staff and the manager are great and I would highly recommend this business for any bicycle repairs or purchases!

Im impressed with the customer service from Golden Bear Bikes. On my first-ever visit to the store, they were quite helpful, and quickly found the right bike for my size and intended uses. As luck would have it, a good hybrid bike my size and in my price range was in the back waiting to be assembled and still unspoken for. They gave me first dibs on it after assembly, so I came back a couple days later after it had been assembled, tested it out, and walked out a new bike owner! I feel quite fortunate, as I know its taking most people months to order a bike right now. It also feels good to support a small, local bike shop, and to know I can take it there easily for future repair needs, too. Dropped off my mountain bike that I jacked up and needed a little TLC before the season was in full swing. The tech that received it gave it a look over and told me about all the recommended adjustments they were going to make. Service was done days before expected and the bike was completely dialed. Would recommend, support your local bike shop!

I had a great overall experience. It took a bit longer than expected to get my bike, but once they got it, they rushed to assemble it for pickup as soon as they got it so I would have it to go camping that weekend. When I picked it up, they went over everything in depth so I had a solid basis of knowledge, as the bike I got was my first full suspension mtn bike. Friendly and courteous staff.

Though very busy, they were able to squeeze in a repair of my 9 year olds bike so that he could be ready for his first day of MTB class. Thanks!

I came in with my 13yo daughter looking for a bike for her. They spent a lot of time talking to us, gathering info about what we were looking for and explaining options. I really felt good about the process. No high pressure sales, just working to find the right fit for my daughter. That experience led me to bring my bike in for a tune-up and that was also a great experience. I dont think my bike shifted so smoothly or rode quieter when it was new. A big thanks to Al for taking great care of us.

My son and I visited Golden Bear to look at helmets. We were greeted right away by the owner. He helped us go through the various options on road bike helmets including a thorough explanation of the safety features each incorporates. We purchased several bikes from them and they have terrible customer service and lied to us about calling back when we thought we had reserved a rack. Now we are left hanging with 2 bikes and no way to transport on a trip to Pacific coast. Then let us walk out with no apology - just lie.

Al was great! We purchased a used bike for my daughter, unfortunately the same day. I took it back and was willing to pay for repairs. Its snowballs as obtaining parts was becoming difficult from the manufacturer. The entire time I was informed of what was going on, the communication was great, And to top it off the owner finally decided to help us out with a credit towards a new bike to stop the bleeding. Great customer service, highly recommended!

I liked the humble consultative expertise on bicycles based on my needs and overall amazing customer service. This bike shop is focused on community and not treating you as another number/sales target. During my test ride and purchase of the bicycle, Ian never made me feel embarrassed because I was a newbie to mountain biking. He was pragmatic about the size of bicycle; did not make it about my height and inseam, he watched how I rode the bicycle, where I placed the dropper seat to feel most comfortable, and asked how I felt on the bicycle (cockpit; too cramped or stretched). When I converted my new bike to tubeless, the tech (I dont remember his name) let me watch how it was done and explained why going tubeless is such a great thing, tips on removing the tire, putting it on, and what you have to check for to make sure it was seated right. From the beginning-to-end of the purchasing process each member of the team provided great tips, information, and overall expertise in what they do.

Great shop. Everyone there was very nice and very helpful. This was my first pair of shoes with the cleats on them and I definitely needed some guidance. I tried on quite a few different pairs with help and input from one of the staff, purchased a pair Im very happy with and they showed me the correct cleats I needed and then put them on the shoes for me. I have already referred my sister.

I came here with my friend unknowingly after they were supposed to be closed. The owner insisted that stay, let us browse and was extremely helpful. He let me test ride the bike with no ID & was trustful. I was planning on buying my bike from the Giant dealership down South but I had such a great experience here I ended up getting the Giant Fathom from here.In my subsequent visits in the past few years they have alway been friendly, helpful & did a free tune. My grandson Got a permanent knee injury from this place the mechanic tuned my grandsons so called new bike made the crankshaft lock up stop the bike immediately and He flew over the handle bars had to pay for X-rays and mris wish I could post pictures and the owner and mechanic dared to say He don’t know how to ride a bike even though He has been his whole life go here to lose lots of money and never get your bike fixed derailment fell off and it still isn’t working right spent 450$ on something He can’t even ride and nowHe just hate life and is really depressed

You have the BEST Trek selection in the area! Everywhere (including Trek) was sold out of the bike I wanted (Women’s FX 3) and you guys still had several and held one for me...no problem. Also, you have great customer service and I love the two free tune-ups and discount on gear. This was the best/easiest bike buying experience I’ve had in years.

These guys are the best. Ive been coming here for a while, but more so now that Ive been biking a lot more. Last week I needed gloves and a mirror I ordered them online and frank called me before their store even opened to let me know the stock had changed and I selected a different pair, went in and grabbed them even though the shop was busy I was in and out. Today I needed new tired because I blew one of mine out last week but just wanted both new, both new tubes, they didnt have my exact size but were able to get me the size of tires and tubes I could use. Again the shop was really busy but the salesman was able to help me and get what I needed!
