Stopped in last Saturday to see if they had time for a quick tune up on my bike and to see about a mirror. The tech (Im sorry, even though I made a point to get your name, I forgot by the time I got home) had no issues stopping what he was working on to talk with me about my bike, make a few adjustments, install a new phone holder, and order a mirror for my bike. I will be coming back here. Not only did they make me feel welcome, they took time out of their already busy day to get me back on the road.

A good price and great customer service. On my third ride my new rear light fell off and was lost - they are sending me a replacement. Prompt and courteous. 5 stars.

Went in today to get a tube replaced. Super helpful staff also fixed a few other things for free (on my new gravel bike that I bought from another store) and even took the time to teach me some things about my bike. Good place for service work.

I am very happy with the customer service at Planet Cyclery. They were very helpful when I had questions about Zipp bars and Zipp bar tape ( I ordered both items). I had a small issue with the tape. So I sent a message to customer service and Neil got back to me. He just said to do the order and let him know and hed take care of the thank you discount as a refund which he did right away. Every time I order from Planet Cyclery, my friends there over deliver.Whether its a great deal, professional service, or fast shipping- they always come through.My latest order was for a part I needed to get my bike back on the road. Because I needed this part sooner than later, I called up the shop to see if they can overnight the package.It wasnt listed on their website as a option so I wasnt sure, but they were able to make a special request for me, and allowed to pay a little more for the overnight.Even though it was razer close to the cutoff point for shipments to go out, they made sure that it would go out same day.Guess what? It arrived the next day!!These guys dont play. Every time I need a bike part, Im buying from my friends at Planet Cyclery before I look anywhere else. Thanks guys!

The guys at the shop came in clutch for me with a wheel true and spoke tension check. They turned it around in two hours and got me back on my bike the same day! I was quoted four days by other shops (for a simple wheel true come on!) but Planet Cyclery turned it around super quick. Thanks.

I am from Singapore and was recommended to Planet Cyclery by a cycling buddy who got a Sram gx axs upgrade from them. Eventually took the plunge and ordered lots of components and kits from them despite the reviews.I would say that the experience over two orders were totally great, from when the orders were placed to shipping, receiving the goods, timeline and packaging was spot on. Goods arrived as per what i ordered and despite having a slight issue with one of the items, the customer service was top notch in response and solving my issues.I will definitely recommend planet cyclery and order from them again! I am highly impressed with Planet Cyclery’s customer service. I bought a Continental Gatorskin that had a failure within a short period of time after purchase and even though it was a non-warranty issue they bent over backwards to help and offer a solution (without profiting in any way) when they really didn’t have to.

This shop has become my local go-to for all my mountain biking needs. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that have taken the time to not only tell me what tool or product I needed but also the price point that/quality level that I was looking for (do the job now vice home shop quality). Ive also ordered online for instore pick up a few times and its always a great convenience. Havent had them do any maintenance on my bikes, as of yet, but I can say I will be bringing them here in the future.

Recently went into to get a new chain for my bike. I was in need of a Shimano chain but they didnt have any. I asked whether I could use a SRAM chain and they said yes they are interchangeable. This is only partially true. Yes you can use a SRAM chain on a Shimano drivetrain but it isnt recommended due to the very specific nature of the chain and tooth patterns for each manufacturer. It would have been better if they had given me the full picture. . .

I made two purchases one on February and one one March. Both time shipping codes were created within 12 hours of order, and items got delivered within 2 days.I couldnt be happier. I hate waiting in general, so this place is the best.

Still waiting on an order I purchased from this website on January 4. I spent almost $300.00 and with $50.00 purchased it is suppose to ship within 2 days. Tried to call but no one is available. Emailed them and still have not heard back. Where is my order???? I am calling my lawyer if I do not hear from them soon.

They put a COD on an order they already charged me for. Getting in touch with them about this double billing was a pain, I called them a message told me to go to the chat, the chat was gone. I emailed and did not get a response so I called their other line. Finally got in touch and they promised to figure it out before the next delivery attempt. They did not and the next day they still needed the COD payment. Got in touch again and they blammed UPS and then started to get snotty with me after I pointed out they had promised to resolve this on their end. They didnt get it resolved again, the package got sent back and now my bike build has to wait as I go to a more reasonable company.

While it is not their fault USPS lost the package, they knew before sending there were shipping issues because of a lack of staff at the USPS. After 20 days overdue on delivery I gave up and asked for a refund (which was a hassle because they wanted to find the package first... why is the lost package my problem?) Really disappointed in this seller

Ordered a pair of Fox gloves from Planet Cyclery through Amazon. Received a patch kit instead. Waited 3 weeks to receive the completely incorrect product. Ridiculous. Attention to detail isnt there with these guys.

I have done business with any number of bicycle shops over the past 30 years, and only a handful have impressed me enough to hold them in the highest regard. Planet Cyclery is one such business. Their selection is ample and their prices are exceedingly competitive. But it is the customer service that sets them apart to my way of thinking. Their employees are obviously empowered to win and retain customers. Planet Cyclery will always be my first stop for cycling products!

Ordered online and needed something fast. Trying to avoid Amazon as much as possible nowadays, so I chose Planet Cyclery because they claim to give FREE 2 DAY SHIPPING when you spend over $100. Only the standard shipping option was available at checkout so I emailed to confirm. I was assured it would arrive in as much as 3 days (not 2). Its almost a week later (thought I was giving myself plenty of time) and the parts I needed quickly arent here yet and my bike is out of commission for a weekend trip.

(I wrote this review about a year ago and didnt post it til now!) I started going to this shop after joining some of their Saturday morning bike rides (which are excellent). My front derailleur was rubbing a bit and after one of the rides Sean fixed it and then said no charge as it was after a ride. Yesterday I called as my rear derailleur had become very hard to shift. I needed it fixed yesterday as I had long rides planned for yesterday and today. Even though they were slammed busy Sean diagnosed the problem as the cable (it had never been replaced), then Larry replaced the cable and housing and straightened my bent rear derailleur hanger all in good time and for a very reasonable labor charge. In this day and age Ive come to expect high labor charges and not a surprisingly low labor charge. I bought a couple of products I needed as well and they gave me a 10% discount for being a part of the Saturday riding group. Then Larry gave me some very clear and helpful maintenance tips on lubricating my chain. All this and they are super nice as well! P.S. On the ride last Saturday, one of the riders had a flat, Larry and Cody (store manager) soon rode up and had his spare tube installed and him back riding in a few minutes. I wish I had timed it!

Dropped my tcr off for a rear derailleur cable replacement and tune-up. I couldnt be more pleased with the results. The mechanic not only cleaned and adjusted everything perfectly but also re-wrapped my less than ideal bar tape job. 10/10 will be back again.

It took 8’days to receive my order which had free 2-day shipping. Order wasn’t even processed for 2 days. On the 5th day, wrote an email to their CS department. Still haven’t heard back from them.Oh, and I figured out how they have a 4 star rating. From what i see, most ratings are either a 1 star or a 5 star. All 1 stars pretty much say the same: don’t deliver on time, don’t respond to order inquiries. (Specific and all the same).As for the 5 stars, very generic: great experience, good prices. (General and all the same)From what I gather, they’ve recruited friends, family and employees to write 5 stars in order to counter balance all of the 1 stars.You’ve been warned!

Ordered Bike trainer. Item came defective. I asked for a replacement, and was told they did not have any and to return it. Upon needing the seller to accept the return on amazon, the steps in and refuses to give me my refund and keeps telling me to use the warranty. They dont stand by their products and make it impossible to return. They also wait so long to respond so the item goes past 30 days and cant be returned through amazons portal. Just terrible customer service.

*UNFRIENDLY* I made an appointment here at Planet Cyclery to have my front seals serviced ($100-140) and was able to get on the schedule. The lead time was two weeks, which is something I could live with and seems standard for this time of year. I wanted to be respectful and drop my bike off the night before in order to give them all the time they needed to perform their work the next day. I checked their hours and realized that they were only open from 11a - 4p and wondered how I was going to make that work since I work during the day. I called the shop to see if there was someone available to merely receive my bike but nobody answered and there was no prompt to leave a message. I live in the neighborhood so I stopped by and noticed a few people working so I knocked on the window and apologetically bowed my head to express my regret for requesting their attention after business hours. The mechanic looked at me and threw his hands up over his head, walked up to the door and yelled out that he couldnt focus with customers constantly bugging him. I will be the first to admit that showing up after hours is annoying and generally uncalled for but my other option was to miss my appointment, which would be a total waste of their time. All I wanted to do was drop my bike off, it literally would have taken 10 seconds. I unconditionally refuse to give money to a business that treats their customers as a bother and inconvenience - especially when they are paying good money and waiting two weeks for service. 10/10 would not recommend this bike shop for any service or purchase. To my full regret, Ive defended this place when I would hear fellow riders speak poorly of it. This is my local bike shop and I will never be back; I will travel the extra distance to Golden Gear Bikes where I know the customer service and performance is superb. Needless to say, my appointment was cancelled. Please do not make the same mistake I did by having your bike serviced here.

Sean was awesome. I was having issues with my dropper post, that was under warranty but not under my name. He was able to work with me and educate me as to what was going on with the dropper post and how to self-service it. He was also able to change a tire. By the way, all of this happened first thing in the morning and in less than 30 minutes. He was awesome to squeeze me in before the day got started.

Ordered tires on 5/3 and package only just was received by USPS on 5/7. It took almost 4 whole days just to give my package to USPS. What was the point of paying for priority when USPS will get my package to me faster than someone from Planet Cyclery could take it to their local USPS. I was told it was going to arrive on 5/6 but no dice. Their website does not even having the tracking number on their and I had to find the link in the emails they sent me. Ruined my trip over the weekend for these tires are expected to arrive right in the middle of the weekend. Perfect, never going to shop here again.

I ordered a $400+ full face helmet on the 9th and had to reach out myself on the 11th to find out my 2 day shipping order was cancelled by Planet Cyclery because they didnt actually have it in stock.Their response, which I would have not received unless I reached out, was a $5 gift card and notification that they have finally started processing my refund. I suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

Quite a few bad reviews for their online orders so Ill try to offer some balance and soothe anyones worries - I ordered a new mtb fork on Labor Day with free 2-day shipping, and it shipped later that day with FedEx 2-day and arrived on time. No double charges or long wait times or anything weird, and I know bike shops are crazy backed up this summer so I was surprised to see it ship same day on a holiday. Customer service responded immediately when I inquired about my tracking number (bc I dont have an account and couldnt figure out their order tracking). If I cant find parts locally Id definitely use their site again.

I ordered some Thomson road handlebars from this place and got a lesser value seatpost instead. On top of that I placed the order early November and received it till today, for most of the tracking it stated it was still in Colorado until today where status wasn’t available/no history of tracking number so I email them and person that responded said it was arriving today now I’m waiting on their response to get the correct item I purchased sent to me or to get my refund.....Hi to anyone who is reading this,I am changing my review today on 11/20 from my first review that I posted on 11/18 from 1 star to 4, mainly because after I emailed, called, message them on Facebook and Dm them on IG, Dan S. Got back to me early in the morning Thursday 11/19 apologizing for the shop/stores mistake of sending me the wrong item and explaining why and what had happened. After talking via phone he asked what I’d like to do, receive the handlebars or get my refund(of course I went with the bars). Today is 11/20 I arrived home from work to a package waiting for me at the doorstep not really knowing what it was, as soon as I opened it there they were the missing piece to finish my build. I recently ordered a frameset from Planet Cyclery. I was very impressed with the price. Upon delivery, I noticed a few parts were missing. When I contacted customer service, I received a very prompt response and the parts were mailed immediately. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention one of the missing parts during that call. When I again called, theyd already shipped the parts from the first order, but again sent out what I needed immediately.Good customer service is not easily come by. I consider the customer service provided by Planet Cyclery to be exceptional. Also, their prices are VERY good.

Sssloooooww-uh2 day ship is used as bait. After one week and no goods I reached out in a chat session for a status only to get hung up on by Shawn. What a cactus! I then reached out with a phone call and got a recorded msg that they dont accept phone calls. Movin up and movin on!

I ordered some poc kneepads at a reasonable price from these people on eBay and like another reviewer said, I too got spacers instead. They said they sent a replacement and a week later I got some random kneepads. The worst part is that it looked like they put the poc inventory barcode over an existing barcode( either poor management/organization or scammers). Actually worse than that, the package it was in was a ziplock bag so you could see they clearly weren’t poc branded. Wasted almost 3 weeks and didn’t have them for a trip I had planned. I’d pay more to go somewhere else than to deal with these scammers again.

They have a pretty good selection in store, and an even larger wearhouse that will have items that arent in stock. They staff is pretty good but can take some time to warm up to their customer service persona

Complete fraud. They say in checkout and order confirmation that they will send your products on 2-day shipping. You then get a notice from FedEx saying its ground when its too late. Their reply after 24 hours is to tell you well we actually meant it for other products even though we wrote on the checkout and order confirmation that its 2 day ship.Classy guys, stay away

I build extremely detailed difficult bicycles and I ended up here at Planet Cyclery for everything that I need and more ! Cody and Sean have both worked patiently with me to build more than two bicycles. They are both knowledgeable and friendly. People are confusing the website with the new shop in the reviews. I have used the online store for years and appreciate it as well.

I dropped by on Memorial Day weekend to buy a bike. The guys at the counter were helpful and said they they had one I could purchase, but they had to build it up which would take several days. When they could work it in. they said. I said Ok and they took my phone number and said theyd call me when it was done. Two days later they called me up and told me that the sold it to someone else. The guy on the phone didnt say sorry or even offer to get another one for me. One would think that selling two bikes would be better than selling one. Ill never step foot in their store again.

Very shady company. Be warned. They charged me twice for a Kask helmet that I never received. I placed an order. The next morning they double-charged me. They then refunded one of the charges but did not send the helmet. Total scam. I contacted them and they got back to me a week later and tried to tell me they only charged me once, even though I have the CC statement to prove they charged me twice. I gave up with this deceitful company and simply disputed the bogus charge with my credit card company. I would definitely not do any business with this dishonest company.

Ordered new forks on Amazon before I realized this company was down the street from me. Waited 5 days for shipping to have the package not show up, checked the tracking to realize it was shipped out of state and now just says delayed with no expected delivery date. Contacted planet cyclery to see if I could get a local replacement even if I have to pay twice / refund the original order if it ever arrives, was told I had to wait for shipping as I ordered it via Amazon. Amazon has never shipped any of my packages to the wrong state, have been ignored by planet cyclery since even though the initial response was quick . Now handling this via Amazon as I dont like being ignored . Will Eventually refund this item and order from else where based on the lacking customer service .

I really want to like this place. Other local bike shops that have a big online presence really tend to help out the local customers too - REI & Excel Sports come to mind. Unfortunately, unlike REI or Excel Sports, they dont really have much available in store - if they did they werent ready to discuss it. Unlike Excel, the folks working there dont seem to want to help out.Oh yeah - lastly, they rarely answer their phone even when its not busy in the store..

Great service here. The employees are friendly and willing to help you diagnose issues with your bike, find any necessary parts, and order them to your store. I did not have them install, but all employees were experienced and would have surely provided quality repairs.Prices are fair and the small company feel was refreshing. Employees even went to two of their locations right away to find the only clipless shoes in the size and model I wanted when the location I was at didn’t have them. Definitely left feeling cared for.

I ordered a very popular tire online. They created a shipping label the same day. Two weeks later, no tire. When I emailed, they said they didnt have tire and could not get it. Very annoyed they make it appear they will soon ship items they do not have.

Just like any other sport, cycling can be very expensive, especially if you have high end equipment and many bike shops will charge you an arm and a leg for parts and or repairs. Ive been going to this bike shop recently and found that the parts are very reasonable, the employees are friendly and the mechanics are knowledgeable. I went to their warehouse clearance sale and found stuff that was up to 80% off their already low price. I happily say that I found my new bike shop and will return for future parts and services.

Seems like most of the bad reviews on this place are from online orders from several years ago. I went into the physical shop in Broomfield and was very impressed. The employees there were very helpful and provided me an on the spot quote for building a wheel. The shop priced matched their online store without me even asking which ended up saving me more than $30 on the hub I wanted. After all of that they built the wheel in 2 days! All other shops I called told me it would be at least 2 weeks. Absolutely going to come back here when I want quick, professional service with reasonable prices.

Tried to find out if one of their tires they sell is tubeless-ready. Send two messages and also called once. No replies. Guess Ill shop elsewhere.

I bought a set of brakes from them. The product was fine and the shipping was timely. However the levers proved too short for my setup. I asked to return them and they said they would not take them back if they had been installed and they would also charge me 10% re-stocking. With so many online choices and companies that offer hassle free returns and no re stocking fees I was surprised they would not bend to help me out. I will not be making anymore purchases from them which is fine because with that policy they wont be around much longer.

I ordered some carbon headset spacers among other items from the Planet Cyclery online store.The Bad: The spacers arrived slightly damaged with many small scratches and 2 larger ones, but I used Armor-All to reduce their appearance and didnt want to bother with returning the spacers. But, I sent a message to let the folks at Planet Cyclery know they might have a problem with those spacers.The Good: To my surprise they responded with a $10 refund on my order. I am impressed. Please buy from this establishment, they are committed to customer satisfaction as few companies are. They deserve to be rewarded!
