Beyond exceptional! Recently purchased a hand-hewn mantel for the fireplace in my new home and its a beauty! A novice in selecting a mantel, I needed clear advice and I got it! Throughout the finishing process I think I spoke with everyone on the staff, and thats a great thing! Everyone wanted to make sure the end product was exactly what I wanted. Once the fireplace is finished, Ill provide a photo. I will also return for material to finish future projects. I couldnt be happier. Highly recommend!
We are complete novices when it comes to home projects and woodwork, but all the staff we interacted with were super kind and helpful. It’s always a bit intimidating dealing with experts in a field when you don’t know the lingo and are starting from the beginning, but they were amazing answering all our questions patiently, offering tips we didn’t even know we needed, and just educating us. We love the outcome and the experience and customer service were top notch! We love our pine beetle kill wall
Great stock! I was looking for a fireplace mantle, and they had plenty of selection from 5 ft to maybe 10 ft- really massive. Some is in the raw reclaimed state, and some already trimmed into rectangles. Stain available in store (and a gorgeous piece of live edge I wish I needed!). The guys are friendly and easy to work with.
Absolutely amazing place!!! Great customer service and extreme knowledge (Thank you Dennis and Staff). Went in looking to build a kitchen table and they walked me through all of the different types of wood available. We decided on wood slats from truck beds which couldnt have looked better.Thank you again and cant wait for the next project.
I recently moved into a new home and was going to paint an accent wall. After weeks of going back and forth on colors to chose, I remembered Front Range Timber from passing by it multiple times for work. A friend of mine has done two reclaimed wood projects (a wall and a headboard) and I loved the look. The gang at Front Range Timber were very helpful and friendly! I knew little about the process of picking out the right type and color and size, but knew a little about install and building. The guys told me all about the woods, colors, and how some people do it this way or that, then they helped me mark out my space on the floor so I could simply lay out all the wood to make sure I had enough for the project and it would fit. They recommended doing the same thing at home to visualize the pattern/sizing/etc. It worked out amazing! I am in love with my living room again and have a terrific wall to enjoy.
They definitely live up to their motto,Honest Dealing and Courteous Service! We stopped by looking for reclaimed wood to make shelves and were met by the owner, who took the time to answer all our questions. The entire team is very forthcoming with costs for them completing a project for you and happy to give you step by step direction on how to take on the project yourself. GOOD PEOPLE!!
Fantastic material! Seemed risky to buy tied bundles, thinking theyd put the two best boards on top and bottom. That wasnt the case. Each was packed with boards of varied texture, color & features. They also helped estimate how much material Id need for this herringbone design and were accurate to the board - had no waste.
Our 2nd purchase from Front Range, photos to come soon. Our first piece, an 800+ year old piece of bald cypress that were using for our mantle. Literally the center-piece of our living room, so many compliments from friends and family on that piece. Our 2nd piece, albeit not some crazy old wood or anything, but the expertise and friendliness expressed while shopping again for our hand rail, unmatched! Dont look any further when shopping for reclaimed wood!
Excellent service and friendly staff. They helped me pick out and lay out all the wood for a 12X9 wall and then helped me load it into my vehicle. Can’t wait to finish this project and go back for ideas on another one.
Front Range Timber has been one of the best experiences Ive had at any business. My order was small and I would have completely understood if it was a low priority for FRT but that was not the case at all. Greg was very helpful in choosing lumber for my project and was able to have it ready for me quicker than I would have expected. The finish he recommended was perfect for what I needed and I couldnt be happier with the outcome.
FRT is awesome. Staff was super helpful in picking out the right pieces for my floating shelving. Hand hewn reclaimed maple is beautiful and they planed one edge flat and left all the live edges for aesthetic! Searched online and found similar shelving for $300 each for 24 inches, FRT hooked me up with 4 shelves and another 4 foot cut off for the same price!
The team at Front Range Timber is awesome. They helped us find a very unique piece of wood for a mantel even though we had a rare length. They sanded and finished our piece beautifully. They were also great at communicating any delays due to COVID.
I dropped by FR Timber with a very small project need. They were patient, helpful and explained my options. Forthcoming with costs to allow me to plan accordingly. When I went back 3 weeks to purchase, they were great! Laid back, helpful, consistent explanations. I will go back. I have already recommended to three people.
Greg is awesome. Admittedly, I was ignorant on using reclaimed wood, but thought it would be great for a project I was working on. He took the time to educate me, teach me what the different woods would do, how they would look if I sanded and stained them, what would bear weight, etc. Absolutely the best experience with any business owner who didnt make a dime on his time with me...but he will! We will be spending a ton of money with this guy. Thanks for not making me feel bad about asking for your time and expertise.
Came here to get some wood to do shelves for our new basement bathroom. Greg (the owner) was great. Super patient and helped us think about a few things we hadnt considered. We had also brought our kids to get them out of the house and he let us take some of their smaller wood pieces which have turned into creative art projects :) Compared to ordering what we think are cool shelves, we ended up spending about 1/2 as much and will have something much more unique! Definitely plan to come back as we have other projects in the future, and dealing with someone who was nice and honest was great!!
We got a stunning piece of reclaimed Cypress for our mantel. The service we received while looking as top notch. Great experience and product!
Excellent selection and great customer service! Luke was super helpful (showing me his secret stash and swapping materials). Thank you for my new shelf made from the tractor trailer floor boards!
Friendly, consultative, and great selection. I am really happy with what will be a reclaimed wood shelf. Also, excellent dog-friendly policy 😉
This place is so cool! So much amazing reclaimed barn wood. You can find anything you need for your next project! The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. We will post a pic when we are done with our project! So excited!Update: we finished the project over the weekend! Check it out! Not bad for a couple hours and a crazy idea!
This is the very best place to source all of your reclaimed wood projects! Ive been to at least 7 places around the Denver area like this and none of them come close to the quality, affordability and service that these guys provide.
Love this place. Addictive. Great customer service.. always!. So excited to see my new wall
The people at Front Range Timber are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Luke took the time to answer all our questions to help us find the right Timber for our fireplace mantle. FRT is a cool place. We recommend highly if you are looking for a unique accent piece or just a raw piece of lumber for your project.
Greg was amazingly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Fantastic selection of reclaimed wood. Wonderful experience...we will be back many times!!
We had the best experience here last weekend! found exactly what we were looking for in a matter of minutes. the employees went out of their way to make my kiddos comfortable - gave my daughter water and a coloring book and made a makeshift changing table for me in their offices! we will definitely be back! thanks for everything!
Awesome staff, not only helpful, but very knowledgeable. Reasonable pricing & awesome selection.
As a novice woodworker, I appreciate the time and the great, clear instructions Greg, the owner, provided to me for using the the West Systems of epoxy. I cant wait to get into my project. I will certainly return there for supplies and advice.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and they had some great selections of reclaimed wood. The three stars is because of the price. I paid $140 for a 2 x 11x 8 plank of hickory. This was much more than what I thought it would cost.
Great people to work with. Their products and creativity are incredible.
Very cool wood! Great options for Front Range Timber to fabricate your ideas. Fun place to go chat with the guys, look at the wood options and figure out how to make your vision a reality. High quality place with good people.
Great local business!! They have amazing product, customer service and design support. Stop in and check them out.
Yay for Greg and Front Range Timber! Greg was incredibly helpful, especially since I walked in only knowing I needed a fireplace mantel. An hour later I left informed, confident in my choice, and incredibly happy to support a local business.
Honestly the best experience Ive had purchasing from a business in a long time. The whole staff was very helpful and knowledgable. Greg helped me over the course of a couple of hours to select a great beam to use as a mantel and more barn wood to make a barn door. Great prices, great selection, and great staff!
Great service and product!
We always find something we love at Front Range Timber! This was our 4th time purchasing from them. The selection is great and the staff is always friendly and helpful!
Absolutely incredible store, so many items to choose from and staff and so friendly and willing to help with any project! Will definitely be going back!!
Luke was great to work with and he had some very practical suggestions. Plenty to choose from and the end result looks fantastic! I highly recommend them and will definitely be returning for future projects!
Ive been here twice, and both times the staff have been terrific to work with. Curtis in particular is great with understanding the needs of the customer and then making recommendations. Looking forward to going back when we get to phase two of our project.
Super helpful and friendly staff, perfect place to get aged wood with lots of character
Owner was incredibly nice and engaging. He had a piece I needed for a Kubb set and he ripped it down so it was perfectly square. Greg, Im making an extra Kubb piece for you to have!
Owner was awesome, helped me find the right wood and helped with ideas on a table. Huge selection and very friendly and helpful!
Repeat customer who has had a very positive experience each time Ive purchased from them. Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. By far, the best source of reclaimed lumber that Ive found anywhere in the Denver area.
Jessica and Lucas were incredibly helpful with my whole order. Great to use a local company and recycle some amazing wood in my home. Highly recommend for their level of service and great materials. We did flooring, countertops and some walls too.
Very helpful team and really cool wood to choose from.
Great place to buy reclaimed. Freindly, helpful staff, good stock at fair prices. 👍👍
Found this store quite accidentally and so glad I stopped by on a whim! The first piece of re-purposed tractor-trailor flooring I found was the keeper, and now it graces my living room beautifully. (Bonus: it meshes well with a gear-head kid who loves big trucks!) All employees went above-and-beyond in their service for a product I can feel good about buying (vs my original IKEA-hack-with-Home-Depot-brick idea). Curtis (and another guy and lady whose names I dont remember -- sorry folks!) worked with me for about an hour and gave me even more ideas to make my project even more unique -- with other re-purposed stuff not even available at this store. Luke kept in great contact as my project was being completed, and all have a great sense of humor and customer service. Great company! Great product!
Stopped by because were looking to put some reclaimed wood in our basement. They have a good selection and their inventory changes frequently.Good people who were friendly and knew their stuff and happy to help
Fun place to browse. Nice staff. Very knowledgable.
Nice showroom, helpful people, and super nice to work with! I will be back when I am ready for my next project!!
They work hard to make sure you get exactly what you need.
The item i bought was very over priced. A 3ft piece of wood cost me $78.00. Still cheaper than buying a full 20ft piece at a lumber yard for $131. Man running the front of house was helpful but kind of rude. They do have a good selection. Wouldnt buy from them again unless I was in a pickle and they were the last option.
We were looking at a bunch of stuff for a basement remodel... These guys are awesome. Love the customer service!
Greg was a huge help. I learned so much! Definitely will be returning back.
Super helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant staff! Great local business to support.
Long story short; we were sold less wood than we were told and charged extra, customer service turned into bullying on Front Ranges end and our problem never got resolved appropriately.I have never in my life had a company talk so poorly to a customer as this one. My husband and I used Front Range to supply barn wood for a wall we were renovating at our home. Ryan, the owner, did not give us as much square footage as he said he did upon purchasing. We couldnt even cover half of the wall. My husband took it up with them and Ryan told him that my husband had no idea what he was talking about and he was wrong about the square footage in the beginning. Okay, so accidents happen if that were the case, but he didnt have to be so rude about it. We were 100 positive the square footage was accurate, as we had a professional measure the wall. We could tell Ryan was becoming defensive when we mentioned we believed he sold us less wood than we paid for. So, he told us we needed a certain amount of scrap wood (or waste?) that we dont use. We didnt know that, as no one told us when we purchased the wood.My husband had to take a short phone call while Ryan was helping him and Ryan apparently listened in on his conversation and when my husband finished the call, Ryan told him I dont have all the time in the world for you! Also, hearing that my husband has another company and shares partnership with his father for that specific call, Ryan then bullied my husband and said things such as I dont need MY daddy to help me. I built this company on my own. You need to grow up little boy Ive never met anyone like you, youre crazy. You dont know how to do anything, you just need daddys help. etc. Shocking, I know. It was silly..... Ryan was out of line, all because he may have been offended that we were trying to be fair about our sale, or whatever his reason. We are honest people, who paid a LOT of money for this wood and we expected the exact amount needed for this project, based off of Front Ranges professional advice. Even if it werent enough, we expected better customer service and maybe a compromise or resolution that would appease both parties. Ryan had no right to talk to my husband the way he did. I would never recommend Front Range Timber to anyone; which is very unfortunate as they had such great reviews. I dont know if it was an off day for him but I wish he could have taken it out on someone other than my husband. Just very unprofessional and kind of a bummer.
I have recently went to FRT to get recycled barn wood for my new salon remodel. They were amazing and very helpful with finding the right shade we needed for our design showroom. I have to say the staff is pretty humorous as well, lots of laughs. ( I know, at a wood place... That has its own humor as well... )Seriously, great selection and service to boot!Nancy Casella
Amazing selection of beautiful reclaimed wood at a very competitive price point and great to work with! Will def be back
From the encounter with the man I spoke to Im guessing hes an owner and if hes not then he should be, welcomed me showed me around and fully explained important details about the reclaimed lumber that they sell.I know I must of annoyed him as I do with everyone with my gift of not shutting up.I was on my way out when I decided to ask if he gets barn hardware ever. He tells me that its not common too. He then hands me a block and tackle for free, and continues to fill my arms with original antique barn hardware all for free. Now I may be a damn wuss but I almost shed a tear. That man just restored my faith in the human race.
My wife and I have shopped here repeatedly and we always have fantastic service. The staff are very helpful and they have a great selection
This store has everything you need to add rustic and unique touches on your home.
If your looking for that old look, they have good selection of reclaimed lumber. Another plus is they carry General Finishes
A great education mixed with wonderful service and a truly fantastic supply of reclaimed wood and finishes. Looking forward to a long relationship Front Range Timber.
Awesome products and even better staff - you guys rock it!!!! What an awesome experience!
Helpful people, good inventory and nicely displayed
Ive purchased wood a couple times from Front Range Timber and they always have a good selection, are very helpful, creative with design help and are flexible with the needs of each different project. Look forward to many more projects with their help!
Fantastic atmosphere to shop for reclaimed wood. Old wood saves trees!
Neat place to get reusable wood and some ideas for a home improvement project.
The only place to get reclaimed lumber. A+
A cool selection of wood and an interesting Pepsi machine
Great wood and even better people working.
Rude people. Avoid a guy named Ryan, has no respect for people.
I’ve used these guys for years and never miss a chance to stop in.
