Finished our balcony/stair handrail in stained red oak. Rene was a great help to obtain the oak from one of their vendors and it came in on time and in perfect condition. If your are a Contractor or Just looking for a custom build I would highly recommend Consolidated Hardwoods Inc. They are knowledgeable, and never Disappoint! Courtney was great over the phone and Russ was so helpful when I came in!

I just discovered this great store. I’m a fine woodworking student at RRCC- had short notice about finishing a class this summer. I called 4th of July, and the owner was extremely helpful and even accommodated my need by serving me on Sunday the 5th despite being closed. I was extremely pleased with the knowledge and assistance provided despite the store technically being closed. I bought the materials one hour before class and it was a straight shot thereafter. Going back again tomorrow for more materials. Looking forward to being a regular customer here.

Ive had very different experiences than the other poster regarding looking for your own wood - I have been able to check the stock in (one of their) warehouses myself. So far Ive only had to buy very small quantities of specialty wood, but this operation was happy to help me out.

I run a small carpentery contracting business and have used Russ and the crew for my high end lumber and plywood needs for a couple years now. Excellent quality- easy to work with

My shop is in Wyoming, a 350 mile roundtrip from Consolidated. When I need some specialty product not carried by the locals or bigger town home centers - most recently full inch thick Baltic birch ply - I check with Consolidated. Ive probably bought from them only 6 or 8 times over the last 25 years but Im always appreciative of their inventory and what I regard as considerate, professional service.No, I dont suppose they want hobbyists shuffling the bunks in the aisles, but if you called for X feet of a certain grade lumber, Id be surprised if your order contained anything less.This is Saturday night. I was looking for the closest source to call for a few sheets of 3/4 MDF 49 X 145 Monday morning when I came across the chance to participate in these reviews. My guess is that Ralph will help me get what I need with the least driving and as quickly as anyone. That makes Consolidated a valuable resource if your needs are similar to mine.
