I went to Farkas for an oil change. I received quick, friendly and fair service. Unlike most other repair shops, they did not try to rip me off by finding something else wrong. I would recommend Farkas if you are looking for a fair price and honest service.

Went for a emissions test. Went kind of late morning so there was only 1 car to test. The service men were very friendly and very efficient. Got my sticker there too.

Editing to note management has been trying to contact me, and due to extreme anxiety issues, I cannot call. THAT is my issue, not theirs. My specific issue was that while going for an emissions test, the small corner lot was absolutely packed, and confusing where to line up ( I accidently cut in front of another in line, mistaking they were trying to get out of the lot) the very young worker told me when I saw the sign saying if paying for renewal now, have card ready. No charge posted... And then online it says cost of renewal in Milw is $89? I believe??? Anyway, after checking my charge, it said like $155. Absolute sticker shock. I was not told of ANY added charge for paying the renewal there instead of online when I got home. Also, I found last years online pd renewal receipt which said like $130...so added wheel taxes n charges? Just some crazy emissions/plate renewal stuff. 3 stars mostly for landlocked busy crazyness and lack of any charging fee information.

Love farkas auto been going there about 8 years now. Bill & Dan are always so helpful. Best place to go they really know whats going on with your car. I wouldnt go any where else. Everybody there is very considerate & friendly. I give Farkus auto 20 stars out of 10. The Best.

Best place in town for auto repairs and Emissions testing and repair. Service technicians are friendly and are willing to explain what is going on and they tell the truth. Prices are fair and all work is done promply.

Went to get my emissions test taken care of and it was quick and easy. I wouldnt say there was anything special about this place or the service, but hey thats how it is some places. The guy who helped me was quick and friendly though so Id recommend the place if you need a quick emissions test.

Talk about trying to rip you off . 500 less at two other places. Same work and results. If you have money to waste or throw away. Then you should take it here. These guys are real crooks.if you are a woman or someone who is not very knowledgeable about cars you are in for a real treat. Good luck

I went in for an emissions test. I parked at the garage door as the sign said. I went inside to request the test.The man behind the window was talking to a woman. They stopped, I said what I needed.His response, Did you read the sign to park by the door?I replied that was where the car was parked.His snarky response, Did you read the sign on the garage door saying to stay in your car?When I went back outside, I looked at the sign. A sheet of letter-sized paper taped to the door window inside. I wear glasses. I couldnt read that.Put a REAL SIGN up on the outside of the door with letters everyone can read.I wasnt upset about the sign. It was his sarcasm, his insulting a potential customer. I believe it was his way of impressing the lady in front of him.I suggest anyone who wants to be treated professionally and with dignity drive down Teutonia, go one block east on Bradley, then hang a right and go about a half mile.] On the left is TOM BUTLER AUTO. Tom is honest. He is dependable. AND HE TREATS ALL CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT.Tom doesnt do emissions tests so find anywhere to go other than Farkas.I would never return to Farkas Automotive for a test, an oil change, or more costly repairs. After the way I was treated, I wouldnt trust them to be honest. My money is reserved for those who deserve it.

Bought my car in for emissions registration tag an hour ago. Great job : you pull up, get out of car, registration form from last year on dash, car stays outside,. Cameron was great, he avoids touching anything, plugs in cord, door stays open, Gave him my Clorox wiped credit card, I wore gloves an mask, done in 5 min, sticker and new registration. He was very pleasant, it was fast and handled will w/Covid going on. Thanks!

Farkas is a solid shop with the know how to figure out any problems. I took my Yukon to them for a oil leak that a few shops I went to said was not fixable in their eyes. Well Farkas fixed it. Good work and fair pricing equals a good deal in my book. And even fixed my small issues I wasnt aware of.

We moved into Brown Deer 17 years ago and happened to need something small fixed on one of our cars one day; decided to try the garage a block away. Fast forward to 2019 and 5 cars later: every single repair, oil change, emissions test or tire and battery purchase has been through Farkas Automotive. I’ve even used their U-Haul rental! From Frank, then Danny, then Bill, service has been exceptional, fast and neighborly. Literally, I only need to call or text, then drop the car off, though they have an after hours process, too.Being a NAPA affiliate means repairs are warrantied nationwide, and if there’s something they can’t do (body work or a new transmission, for instance) Bill is happy to recommend someplace reputable nearby.It’s always nice to have someplace you can trust in our Village, and I think the highest compliment I can give a business is that I would send my daughter there. Don’t suggest going here unless you need something simple, like an oil change. Wouldn’t trust him with anything more. He replaced my throttle body and spliced the wires together incorrectly, causing issues since it was replaced. I moved to Florida so there’s no way I could take it back to him and guess who won’t reimburse me for what I have to pay because of his poor workmanship:) waste of money from the past 5 - 6 months trying to find what was wrong with it just to find out he installed the wiring wrong. And apparently since I moved it’s not their problem anymore. Rip off of a place. Never go there. If you’re a decent establishment you should at least stand behind your workmanship and do what’s right. Total rip off.

Beware this place!I took my car for some service, I got charge $600. Not only they didn’t fix the problems, but they broke other parts of my car. I took it back and they asked me I had to pay for it, an additional $400. I just got in touch with my lawyer and they will hear from me soon. I can’t believe a place like this is still open.

Fiar price honest work.

Me and my mom been going here for years now that Mr. Farkus is gone the manager Bill just has this I dont care attitude. What has also change is when they can get to your car ex: if you take it Wednesday or Thursday Bill ia going to say we cant even look at until next Tuesday are you kidding me thats ridiculous. Im never going back me or my mom and to top it off Bill dont give you a break or nothing Mr.Farkus always worked with you.

Thought Id give them a try while my regular mechanic was out of town. Bad idea. Left greasy smudges all over my car, and didnt really fix what was wrong with it. I mentioned it to the service manager who shrugged it off, but did suggest a bunch of other work I could have them do. I see they offer emisssions tests here - Id really think twice about that. Who knows what they might find.

Mom and Dad love this place and have been coming here for years.
