I tried finding a wedding dress at typical wedding dress stores. I searched in NYC, Raleigh NC and Tampa, FL- striking out in every state. None of the dresses seemed like me. I reached out to Ali and, for lack of better words, word vomited to her what I thought I wanted. In a couple of weeks I received 3 sketching, each one better than the one before. From the moment I spoke to Ali, to the day she handed me my finished product, I felt so connected and I knew I was going to have the ABSOLUTE BEST wedding dress ever. She is a visionary and an artist. She works SO hard to make sure ever little detail is absolutely perfect, and she wont stop until its right. I traveled to Buffalo from NC a couple of times and it was worth every penny. If you want a wedding dress that is PERFECT for you, will turn heads, have all of your guest talking AND have fun while its designed and created for you... Youve found your ladies. Ali & Joy are the real deal. I cannot say enough good things about them, their store and their work!!

Joy took my circa 1984 wedding dress and turned it into an absolutely gorgeous cocktail dress for my daughter to wear at her rehearsal dinner. It was an amazingly fun project and Joy lives up to her name, she was a delight. She also tailored my daughter’s wedding dress expertly and created a perfect bustle for her. Wonderful work!

I was blown away by the attention & work Joy did in customizing my dream dress! I was nervous when I bought it as it needed some work and I am not one of those people that can envision the final product. Joy took each one of my requests and brought it to life better than I could have imagined. When issues came up, she was calm and confident that everything would work out and she was completely right. The dress fit like a glove and was a complete showstopper. I would trust her with any piece you need for your wedding day.

I went to Ali to have my Maid of Honor dress made for my sisters wedding. She was amazing to work with throughout the whole process, and the end result was just perfect -- exactly what I wanted, but still totally different from what Id imagined. It was obvious that Ali had really listened to and understood my preferences, and then used her impeccable design sense to augment those and create something extraordinary, but still so very me. Instead of a dress for one day, she made me something Ill be finding excuses to wear for years.

Joy is absolutely phenomenal and I cannot recommend this business enough. My sister was just married last Saturday and Joy handled all the alterations. She paid attention to every minor request we had, down to adding a small hook and eye to keep the fabric of my sisters belt in place. The big thing, though, was how she handled my sisters veil tearing the Monday before the wedding. My sister had a beautiful two-piece veil, with a blusher and a cathedral length, lace-lined veil. We went in to see Joy and she first stitched the tear, decided the stitches werent as discrete as she would like, and then replaced the whole blusher for free right there in the store. She was an absolute life-saver then and is a wonderful person overall. Thank you so much, Joy. My sisters wedding bliss came together in no small part because of you!

Made By Anatomy is amazing! I came to Ali with an idea for a crop top wedding dress. She came up with several designs and lots of fabric options. We worked together to come up with a design just for me. It is such a special feeling to know that your wedding dress is completely unique and nobody else in the world will ever wear the same one. Ali is fun to work with and I couldnt be more thrilled with my experience.
