Showed up for my appointment and was told that I did not have one. When I showed Don my email confirmation, he told me that I would have to come back. Sensing that there was an issue with his system, he acted like there was an issue based on how I set up the appointment. Not coming back to this location or company based on the sub-par customer service.

Dr. Griffin is a wonderful doctor and has a great friendliness about her. Im sure there is great difficulty for normalcy at this time but the staff is friendly and polite.

Adding a star for your prompt attention to the matter.**Original review:The office staff is incompetent.A month ago I had my annual required contact lens exam at the Amherst location and also wanted new glasses. The exam took 5 minutes. The contact lenses were fine. No issues with the Doctor.I then ordered glasses after looking through the entire store for a decent pair. My current pair are scratched and an old script, so these were much needed. They upsell a bunch of add-ons and make them seem vital, so I end up paying hundreds of dollars.Weeks go by, and I’m wondering why I haven’t heard anything. I call to check and find out the glasses I paid for are on back order. No one in the office let me know about this. They also don’t give me a direct answer on if there’s a restock date. I ask them to check. I wait another week to give them time to do so, and call back. The same person didn’t seem to have followed up as requested, but said I can wait some more, and if they don’t ever become available I can pick out another pair sometime. But I was also told that they have no way of knowing if the different pair would be in stock either until after I ordered them, so...I said that the glasses are available online. He laughs and starts talking about how the internet has different stock. Is not apologetic and seems very unconcerned.After almost a month, I cancel the order and ask for a copy of my glasses script so I can buy online. The staff say I have to come in to the store to get my script and they can’t send it to me any other way. Great! I order contacts because that’s an easy request and I need to be able to see. But even that they’re vague about saying “Sometime next week” they’ll be ready. In my experience, contacts don’t take long..The next day I go to pick up my scripts at the Blasdell location. The person near the door prints out my contact lens and glasses scripts. I double check and see that the glasses script is not right. I can’t order glasses with this script. I try to explain the problem but the individual I’m speaking with immediately gets nasty and starts talking over me.Finally, he says “sometime next week when you get your contacts, you can come back for the glasses script.” I ask him to run it by the doctor when she’s available so I can get glasses ASAP. He says no.A person sitting in the corner pipes in to say he’s who I’d been talking to about the backordered glasses, and asks me what would I do if I was him, and if I’ve ever worked somewhere where they had a back order before. Nope! But if I did I would certainly be apologetic and as informative as possible when status updates are requested. Very unprofessional. The individual sitting in the corner needs extensive training. Basic requests shouldn’t seem like you’re asking them to perform a moon landing.They were so rude and argumentative that I canceled my contacts order on the spot. I also left without the correct glasses script. What a hassle.

Excellent customer service! They were very transparent about all my options as well as pricing. The Doctor took her time with me and was very patient as I asked a bunch of questions, which she answered reassuringly. I would definitely recommend for your next eye visit! My glasses and contacts came in a week earlier than I thought they would, too! You will not be disappointed.

I would recommend SVS to anyone whos looking for glasses or contacts. They took the time to work with my daughter and explain everything needed for contacts in a relaxed and professional manner. Their prices were reasonable and helped us choose the best option based on our insurance.

Terrible experience. My sons $125 glasses were broken. Called to get a replacement, they are now $500. So I cancelled. The person at the store, Don, gave me an earful about what a bad customer I am for cancelling. Serious? Great customer service! Resorted to name calling! Plenty of other places to get glasses

Got glasses and sunglasses. Good pricing. Covered by insurance mostly. Very friendly staff and doctors. External company that notifies you your products are available for pick up stinks. Other than that, its a great place to shop for prescription sunglasses and regular glasses. Cant say anything about contacts as I dont wear them.

Horrible experience. Do not recommend and will not return. I am stuck with a full year of contacts because the Doctor screwed up my prescription. First time contact user. My trial pair worked fine went back and she realized I had a slight astigmatism so had to adjust. Tried my contacts and far sighted vision was blurry. I am near sighted!!!! First she said my eyes must have changed. Are you kidding me!!! In a month. Her solution, buy a pair of readers. Ridiculous!!!
