Even though there was only self-checkout and aisle 1 open with a reeeally long line... The cashier Angelina really brought it home for the tops team! I think there definitely should’ve been more lanes open but she treated each customer with the same happy welcome and helpfulness.It’s people like Angelina who make me want to come back and shop at your store!Keep up the good work & outstanding customer service:)

I dont come to this Tops very often but when I do, I am never disappointed. The area is usually clean and the staff is pretty fair. Easy to find your items and moderately busy but nothing too overwhelming. Not a bad location to visit and see if you like it for yourself. Honestly, if Im in the area then I will go and have no problem but nothing to seek out from across town.

This is a really cool grocery store. This location really reminds me of how grocery stores looked and felt in the 1990s. They were not all flashy looking with crazy hot bars. They were warm and cozy with linoleum floors and workers who were kind and helpful.

This is the location where I am employed in the deli department. I really like my Tops Market. They do tend to have a limited product selection due to the specific requests of the neighborhood. But of an item is needed that isnt in stock it can be ordered or located at another location by speaking with management. However due to the websites search option many customers can discover that information so that they can visit the correct location on their first try.

Only one CASHIER open every time I go,expect customers to cash out themselves on a consistent basis,everybody that works there seems miserable and I can understand as there is not enough help on a regular basis.

Always visit when I am in town. Strange thing..I am 75, yet the girl asked for my ID when i bought a bottle of red wine. The store is clean and well managed.

Stopped by to pick up dog treats and was amazed. The store was much cleaner than the last time I was there. Even the bottle return room had been cleaned. I returned bottles there a few weeks ago and it wasnt very clean, disgusting is all I will say. Today was a nice surprise. Keep up the good work. The employees are there to make our visit pleasant, but they are not there to clean up after inconsiderate patrons who dont clean up after themselves in the bottle return and Ladies bathroom 😡. Its the same as other Tops, Just different layouts. They have a decent selection but high prices. If you want to save money on your groceries, this Is not the place to go generally. I am usually In there for something on a really good sale or because my bank Is In there. Otherwise I stick to Save a Lot, Pricerite or Walmart.

This is THE nicest tops I’ve ever feasted my eyes upon. Immaculate like you wouldn’t believe. The cereal boxes are lined up so straight you’d think you’re in a Wes Anderson film. Giant Goya section that makes you feel like you’re in Mexico, I love it

Old lady with grey hear and glasses and a little heavy that Cashs checks at customer care desk needs a reality check and is absolutely rude. All the other workers are great to be around always smiling !! Prices are great ! Food is fresh! Shelves are always in order!

The marketing team is not doing anything to inspire the staff but this location has a lot to contend with. Lot does not have a clear safe path from the street which is a HUGE design flaw and the kind of thing that gets me mad enough to write an online review in all caps!

Tops is a very convenient, Grocery store. It has all the basic supermarket departments, like produce, frozen, health and hygiene, etc. But there arent many frills, like a large specialty grocery store. Which generally means a slightly lower price on average. You get what you pay for.. or you pay for what you get. Its a good store, it gets the job done oh and it has a gas station and a Plaza in the same parking lot.

I support Tops when I am stocking up on canned goods - their prices and choices of brands are excellent. They have some great weekly specials. Some produce could be better and I get frustrated if my local store doesnt carry an advertised item. We do need competition in Buffalo!

I was helping my family checkout and forgot about the 20$ cash back, and the guy made sure to find us in the parking lot, to return the 20.... That went a long way... Thank u for the honesty...

Overall layout is nice. Produce looks fresh and shelves are well stocked. There is an issue with the long wait at checkout. While waiting in line, another customer behind me said he hated coming here because its never quick getting out. I seen what he meant.

Visited the pharmacy today. The pharmacist on staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. My concerns and questions are always answered with the utmost in care. I would highly recommend Tops Pharmacy.

The store is usually well stocked, the employees are friendly and helpful. The downside is it closes at midnight and around 9 pm theres usually only one cashier open and only 4 cash out yourself lanes that are usually full of people with loaded carts who have no idea what they are doing which creates longer lines. Just open more registers Please.

Poor selection of items suitable suitable for customers who have severe dietary restrictions, such as Diabetes. With the large percentage of people who have this and other diseases, it seems to me Tops is missing an opportunity not only to serve these customers, but the profits to be made in doing so. And think of the. PR gold mine! It could be a 7-day- a- week Food For Families promotion!

Im a creature of habit,so Ive been going here for years. The store is clean and organized. I always find great sales that I take full advantage of. I add coupons to my bonus card, use paper coupons, and I take full advantage of the discounts I earn on gas..which they have at this location.

Parking lot security guy, with the tops issued security vehicle... He drives around the parking lot talking on his phone... Watched him almost hit three people at the crosswalk in front of the tops.. then when I was driving out of the parking lot, he stopped right in front of our car. Having no place to go, he opened his door and told us to go around him. He could have easily just kept driving.... Dude is on drugs... or he is nuts... not to mention he thinks the normal speed limit in a parking lot of tops is 30 miles an hour..... That place is a mad house inside an out....

Its a very large tops for this area, based on the area that its in its actually a pretty good tops. Always stocked and staff is always helpful and. I actually dont ever have to wait in line very long however I do think its weird that they dont always have ezscan open

They have a bit more of a variety. Where as the location a few minutes closer, is more focused on our Hispanic population.

These Supermarket is okay. The parking is always filthy. The bottles and can recycling area is close to the main entrance always dirty and with a strong snow around the Lacs on cleaning. Prices are on the high side of things. Staff and personnel and wax and personality and helpfulness to the customers. Cashiers are not too friendlyThese observations are for both Tops on Grant Street in Amherst and Niagara Street in Maryland Street

I like the gas points, but the prices are too high compared with other stores. I also like the e-coupons that i can use online instead of having to remember to bring coupons with me. The best time to shop there is around a holiday when they have really good sales - especially the buy one get one free sales. The lines are usually very long, with few lines open. I shop here primarily open of familiarity and due to the sheer volume of people at Wegmans that I dont like to deal with, but which is understandable since their prices are so much better.

This is the worst Tops i have been to, its a shame it has to be 5 minutes from my house. Most there could not be bothered to get of their phones to help. I will go to a different tops from now on and other markets locally. I have been going there weekly for 2 yrs and it seems to almost get worse, im amazed its still open. Alot of dead weight in there, they need new higher ups. I cant give them my money anymore. Good luck

After shopping here for almost 10 years, tonight I was told I could not bring my purse in... I was with a friend who had a larger purse than me, and hers was fine, but apparently the style of mine was against the rules...i felt like i was singled out and discriminated against. I dont think i will be returning. To many other options in my area, that want my business.

The management is always moving items around, which means that sometimes you have to go on a safari to find it. They frequently have BOGO offers on various meat products. The two things about this place I do not care for is the forming of two lines waiting for the auto checker, and the fact that you are discouraged from bringing a backpack into the store after a certain time in the evening. You are directed to store it in the employee area.

Not enough cashiers and that self service line makes a lot of mistakes it sucks

Ive never really had a problem with either one of the Tops in my area. The workers are helpful and very rarely can I not get what I came for.

I use this tops the more than the one in my new neighborhood the bread is good and sometimes the sales are worth it but what is a sale at tops is the norm at Price rite just around the corner however I still prefer tops over Wegmans as far as pricing and over everyone else when it comes to their fresh bread made in their bakery

Good supermarket. However, I bought a bag of romaine lettuce that went bad the next day. I was disappointed to find they had no free range chicken or turkey, and a small organic selection which seems a bit more pricey than Wegmans. Other than that, its very clean & they do have some good sales.

Always mediocre service. Prices, well lets say if its not on sale with a coupon your being ripped off, even with the gas points. Tops gas is almost always 10cents a gallon higher than everywhere else. If there​ is more than a dozen people in the store expect a huge wait at check out even checking yourself out. I would never set foot in tops again if I was not shopping for mom and she insists I go to tops

Tops prices are outrageous I used to shop there on the regular and the prices are too high I shop Wegmans now, their prices are reasonable and Wegmans has everything you can imagine tops is just my pharmacy for now I dont there any more!!!!

I used to only shop at Tops, even after Wegmans. I love their bakery.I think the difference in pricing on some items is why I shop both places now.

I rarely get sales prices for items on sale. When I bring it to their attention, they act confused and short with me. Rudest Tops ever! Expensive and will cheat you if you dont pay very close attention to your receipts.

Tops has a great selection of reasonably priced products inside it’s store this place is great you can cash your check pay multiple different bills at the customer service desk they also have a great selection of deli meats that are fresh and cut exactly the way you want it cut the bakery also makes fresh donuts and other types of breads daily so you can get a fresh loaf of bread for the family

Dirty stores. No rhyme or reason as to how theyre laid out. Never enough cashiers on duty, EVER. Tops has become a ghetto supermarket chain. Their inner city outposts are bastions of the exploitation of poverty economics, which is how they stay alive. A captive audience guarantees a modicum of success, at the literal expense of the community.

Went to the gas kiosk at 7:30am to get gas and no one was in there...i called inside the store and the lady said that the guy was coming out... the guy said it would be another 10 mins to start up all the pumps because the person who was suppose to be there didnt show up...mind you the hours for the kiosk are 6am to 11pm so why did it take them an hour and a half from the time it opens, to open it up when the person didnt show up....

Prices are fine even possible to save as much here on certain items found at other discount area groceries

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had no problems with this top until recently when I had a new “police guard” be racist to both me and my mom. I used to come there because it’s the closest tops to me. Now I would rather spend money going to another one. That so called “police guard” or whatever he is targeted me and my mom since we stepped foot in that tops, even my mom metion how he was making her uncomfortable with all the staring. We walked right passed him and then I stopped at the front of the store and looked at some avocados and told my mom to checked them out in Spanish I guess that triggered this man. He came up to us and asked us if we spoke English as if we were idiots that didn’t understand what he was saying, my mom said of course why would you assume we don’t? He said that since he heard us speaking In another “dialect” he assumed we didn’t. We spoke Spanish which is another LANGUAGE not “dialect” then he asked us not anybody else who walked into that tops he asked us to see our persona property I had a bag with my work stuff and a bag from family dollar with a Powerade in it. He did all of this because he’s racist and the manager didnt even acknowledge it we had no apologies for the inconvenience and it was because we went there to buy food not be asked about our language and be inspected as if we were at the airport. So yeah not going there anymore ✌️

Two registers and self checkout open, at least 10 people backed up waiting in each line... employees and managers walking around at the front, looking at the line, and walking into the back office to ignore it. One employee is literally standing in an empty lane just leaning against the belt doing nothing, playing with her phone and earbuds. Lazy, useless, pathetic all around. 25+ minutes standing in line and still 2 people in front of me. Reminds me why I dont come here

Tops is a last resort for me. Its extremely expensive and I tend to only buy things on sale. Ive gotten bad meat from them before, and the Carry out Cafe has rude people working in that dept.

Terrible. One register open, and customers with full carts. The cashier seemed inexperienced. Self checkout was full. 12 people in line there. People getting antsy wanting to check out and go home. This was about 4 pm.

I have shopped here since they opened way back when. The pharmacy staff is awesome. However My visit yesterday made me want to never come back. The area at the checkout was filthy. I set my basket down after unloading my groceries, the floor was so dirty, packs of gum were scattered amongst the filth. A rodent or roaches paridise for sure. Then to top it off the cashier proceeded to pick at a hang nail rather than start scanning my groceries. Seriously thinking about transferring my prescriptions to Wegmans around the corner and never stepping foot in this tops again.

I SHOP at Tops on a regular basis The prices are affordable. Sometimes u dont want to cook tops haves a variety of prepare foods ready to go.
