As a goalie who faces a regular lineup of former pro, junior, and college players I need to know that my gear is locked in and will give me optimal performance. This is why I use Simmons Hockey. Whether it is a minor tweak here or a major alteration there the guys always take care of me and treat me as if I am a pro goalie. They truly cater to any need you might have as a customer. Even when I know they are slammed with orders they take the time to treat me as if I am their only concern. I cannot rave about the experience enough and that is just on the customer service side. I havent yet begun to talk about the quality of gear. I am fortunate and blessed to be able to afford to wear any brand of gear I would like and for almost a decade now, I choose certain Simmons made products over any others on the market. and always will. Their craftsmanship and detail is beyond anything you see out there and its pro level performance. ALWAYS made in North America. Performance and quality is a combination that equals results. Had issues with the steel on my skates for a few weeks - John took a look a them an noticed what was wrong immediately and showed me. He worked on them for 30 minutes. Great service and very knowledgeable. Stand by their work too.

Great local place to order from, friendly staff to answer any questions. Ordered a set of blade tech steels, had them profiled and shipped to my door in less then a week. Definitely a five star review

Hit them up on Facebook messenger to find out turnaround time on custom builds. They were very responsive and with an unbelievably quick build time.I ordered a Chest Protector with custom strapping and a custom catch glove.About two weeks later I received an email with pictures of my new equipment to sign off on and get them shipped.Quality is excellent.Protection is on par with pro builds from others.I would absolutely do business with them again.Dont be afraid of the smaller builders, its their name on the door they care about the customer.

With the boarder being closed for the foreseeable future I needed a place to get my skates sharped. My buddy has been using Simmons since he was in middle school. Went there and they were amazing! I used the new quad zero skate profile and I will never go back. Best sharpening I have ever had.

Fantastic experience with Simmons Pro 1 goalie pants. I’ve been using them for 18 years! I bought them after playing in college to play in all levels of local ice beer leagues. Buckle broke off in the first week of play but it has always fit me well and never let me down in protection. There is some expected wear inside the legs on the 5-hole squeeze pads, but I’ve never had to modify or repair them due to damage at all. They have held up ridiculously well. Fantastic construction, great quality product!

Possibly the best customer service experience Ive had. Initial glove I ordered was not to my liking and they worked with me immediately and quickly to try and find a fix, ultimately having me send my old glove (which I loved) in to them for a complete refurbishment. It came back like new, but still with the feel and comfort level Id been enjoying for the past decade. Ive been a customer of Don Simmons for two decades and while I dont often have to buy new goalie gear, I will always go back and recommend to other goaltenders.

I have used Simmons several times now for all my sons goalie equipment. Each time I am happier than the last and most importantly my son loves Simmons product. The people are very easy to work with and they are very concerned about you being happy with their product. They have custom designed several sets of pads and gloves for my son’s and I have to say the compliments we get are incredible. People can not believe how well these pads are made. Simmons stands 100% behind their products. I honestly have no idea why anyone would buy a pad off a shelf for top dollar when you can have a custom set of high quality made to order equipment. The cost is generally less than the box stores. The pads are lighter and built much better. You won’t be disappointedI wish I could add a picture of the most recent set of pads they made for him.

We took our 10 year old in there with a broken chest guard less than 24 hours before his next game. They sized him up and fixed it right on the spot for him! He was good to go right then and there! We very much appreciated the quick help!

Completely the best customer service ever. I have learned even more about my equipment and more options for better care. I am also a Veteran, and they do offer a military discount unlike any other store. They fixed my steak, A member at Pure hockey had sharpened my steal at a 17’ radius, and a 11’ radius. along with a very Visible hight difference between the steal. I had my steal cut to the quad 4 and I am absolutely sold!! Please if your reading this do not even take another second to think about going somewhere else! you won’t regret it I swear!

Hey this is the best local place to go if you want your skates taken care of. I got new steel and a new profile that’s worked out great. If you want to skate fast efficient and consistent let John sharpen your skates. He’s also got basic necessities for your hockey 🏒 needs. He specializes in basic and complex repairs of equipment. And if you’re a Goalie, then that’s a whole other story. Give Simmons a try.

Ive been a Simmons fan since my first visit to the store in 2001. I opted to try another brand for my current set but I reached out to Simmons to upgrade the webbing in my mitt to black skate lace. The work was done quickly and held up in my first skate with it a couple of hours later. Although not big name, they have a big reputation in the Goalieverse in durable gear and quality workmanship.

Had a set custom made by John. The quality and value you get is amazing! He kept in contact throughout the process to with different ideas. If you’re debating about going else where then you’ll over pay and not get this good of a product!

I recently had my old Simmons 997 leg pads repaired. I dropped them off at the store while driving through the area and had them shipped back. While at the store John answered questions about their current model lines and showed my some of the things they were finalizing. I received my leg pads back and the stitching for the new straps was flawless. I had all 10 sewn-in leather straps replaced at a very reasonable price. Ive been happy with the communication level and the workmanship is outstanding.

Simmons hockey did a great job sharpening my skate . The last few places I had gone had absolutely butchered them to the point where one blade was a good 1/4 different in height and both had different radius on them. Simmons Hockey took great care of me, and the next skate I had was the best I had felt in years on blade .

This place is a jem for a goalie parent. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and care about fidning your child the right equiptment as oppsed to making a profit. It is great having a goalie specific store. Support him with your business!! He helped me in a bind with a pad issue and also provided me with tips to address issues with a helmet (it was ringing when my child took a shot) that i bought somewhere else. He fixed both issues.
