Wow! Mike is fantastic. Great customer service, easy to reach and responds quickly. Repaired and returned my guitars faster than he promised. I brought 2 Taylor acoustics to him. I thought they were great guitars before I brought them in for a tune up. NOW they are truly great players! They play better, sound better and I’m enjoying playing both more than ever. If you need a repair or tuneup, look no further than Mike at Vintage Vibes.

I had neglected my instrument for a few years and moved it from Denver Colorado to Buffalo NY and started playing again and noticed how tough it was to play (my guitar that is)... I took it to Mike and had him look it over and do a setup. Boy am I glad I did!! His work is outstanding and done in a timely manner. I cant thank him enough as my guitar plays better now then the day I bought it 10 years ago in Denver. Highly recommend Vintage Vibes!! Mike is a very good person to work with and I will take all my instruments to him from now on!😊

Brought my dads electric bass to Vintage Vibes to have it repaired as a surprise as it didnt make any sound. Not only did he get the sound working again, he took the time to clean it up, fix the bowing, and also replaced the strings. Very nice guy, very knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend you talk to him before anywhere else.

Mike did a setup on my Eastman Parlour guitar. The action was uncomfortably high up the neck. Now, it plays perfectly across the fretboard, and the intonation is spot on. I’m delighted that we have a master in our area, and I’ll definitely call him again when I need an expert to work on my instruments.

He gave a breath of new life into it, and it is so much fun to play now :). Will definitely be back for future guitar care needs. Mike is the man!

Not only did he repair my old favorite guitar he restored it to look look like new. I have several guitars and he is my number one guy to do business with. I am very pleased.

Bought a Fender Jazz Bass on eBay and when it arrived the setup was totally off. Strings were buzzing and I could not fix the issue with my basic setup knowledge. I took this to Mike at Vintage Vibes Guitar Care because his google reviews indicated that he is a true guitar luthier that can make any guitar/bass play better. Those reviews were 100% correct! Got the bass back today and it plays like a dream! Mike set it up to Fender’s specifications and it feels and plays exactly like it should. Plus fair pricing and quick turnaround...you can’t go wrong! I will be returning the next time my guitars need some adjustments. Thanks Mike!

Mike did a setup on my recently purchased Used Yamaha Revstar RS820CR and cleaned up the electronic contacts and even suggested that one of my pots might be on its way out. Mike was spot on and when the Pot died, he even had suggestions for the repair, which i ended up doing myself because i wanted to try my hand at soldering. Guitar plays like a dream, will definitely be back for any repair/setup needs in the future.

I dropped my old 1950s arch top at Vintage Vibes and asked Mike to look it over as the fretboard was faded and there was raising along the sides and water stained damage on the back. The guitar had sentimental value but was in rough shape. Needless to say I was floored, it looked beautiful. I took it to other shops and they passed on it because it was too much work. Mike sanded the fret board and restained, treated the humidity rising on the sides and fixed the water damage. He but a lot of work into it and it shows. Definitely will be a return customer. As the other reviews stated hes a friendly guy and is worth checking out.

What a great experience! I am a new guitar player; less than 6 months. I bought a Yamaha acoustic guitar after trying it out but no one ever told me about having it professionally set up. I found Vintage Vibes with a simple Google search and boy, am I glad I did!I took the guitar to Mike to have it set up. He asked me about my experience level and playing style. When I told him I didn’t know much because I was a new player, he took his time to explain the things that needed to be evaluated and why. In the end the guitar was set up specifically for me. He lowered the bridge and filed the nut gaps resulting in a much lower action making it much easier to play. The truss rod was adjusted. The neck was reconditioned and a nice polish was put on the whole guitar. When I picked it up he explained everything again. What a great education! I had a lesson right away that night and boy, could I tell the difference. I didn’t want to put the guitar down that night!I would highly recommend Vintage Vibes and Mike for your guitar maintenance. It is hard to get customer service and custom care at this level anywhere anymore. Couple that with someone who has a passion for what they are doing, and is skilled at doing it, and you have a winning combination that will make my (and probably yours) guitar journey much more enjoyable. I will most definitely be back in the future!Oh, in case you are wondering about his abilities...Mike studied guitar repair for 6 months with Tom Doyle, Les Paul’s personal guitar technician for 45 years!- Shawn

Michael did an amazing job setting up my ‘03 Epiphone Sheraton Elite. He adjusted the truss rod and set the neck relief to avoid buzzing. Set the string height at 12th fret to ensure action was as low as possible so it’s really easy to play. He adjusted the bridge saddles for correct intonation. Now the guitar plays in tune up & down the neck!He reconditioned the fingerboard that was very dry. Checked height of each fret to make sure they were all level to avoid buzzing on upper frets. Pick up heights were adjusted so volume level is equal when switching between front and back pickups. Put on new strings & cleaned and polished it to a beautiful shine. Looks brand new! Finally, his price was more than fair and he rapidly completed the work. I will be coming back for more! Thank you Mike!—Andrew

Wow. I brought Mike a Takamine acoustic that I had purchased a few months ago. I thought it played okay in the store, but when I got it home, I found that the action was too high, it “clunked” on the B string, and had other related problems.Mike did an awesome job on correcting all the flaws. Instead of living life in the case, the guitar is proudly sitting in my music room, ready to be played.Mike also did a fine job on setting up a Godin electric. My sister gave me a New. Fender acoustic for my birthday. I thought it was going to be really easy and fun to play since it was brand new. I thought it would be a good idea to have a professional luthier take a look at it anyway. Mike at Vintage Vibes recommended what he called a “set up“. OMG, now my fingers don’t hurt when I play and I think it even sound s better since Mike made the necessary adjustments. I didn’t know that new guitars came out of the factory like that. I would recommend that anyone who wants their guitar to be more comfortable and fun to play for a very reasonable price to bring it to Vintage Vibes. Thanks Mike you’re awesome!

So I went back. 5 months later . So I hung the Zephyr on the wall and it looked great. Unfortunately, I used an outside wall(Hint: dont do that). The temperature fluctuations did a number on the wood and I had some buzzing on a few strings. Anyway, I brought over Mike. He checked it out, asked some questions and then did some adjusting of the bridge. It was cool watching him adjusting and debugging it, you could just seem how much he enjoyed doing it.. He got it all fixed up and I can enjoy it again. Mike spent close to an hour with me. He didnt charge me either when I asked. So, shes going to live in her case with a humidity control so that doesnt happen again. Still, I think well be seeing Mike again..====I picked up a 51 Epiphone deluxe zephyr for Father’s Day. It wasn’t totally original and had definitely had a life and associated changes. It had been in shop for 16 years. It sounded great unplugged. But plugged in, the tone didn’t work. I took it to Mike to recommend what needed to be done.He walked me through his recommendations and even said what work he wouldn’t recommend. He cleaned up years of gunk buildup. Sanded the fingerboard and even made a rosewood paste from the sanded wood to fill in some of the scratches on the fingerboard. He fixed up the other scratches on the body. Mike got the wiring straightened out, it needed a lot of work. You can tell Mike loves his craft. The final price was almost exactly what the estimate was. And he got it to me a week before I expected it. I’d definitely go back
