I went in to JCPenneys for Sephora. The young person, Chris, was so helpful and kind. I usually go in for the sampler gift set that has several popular fragrances and then you get a coupon for the larger size of the one I like. But they didnt have them yet. But Chris was very helpful and showed me the type of fragrance that achieves the desired effects. I bought it.

JC Penny was great. We encountered 2 employees and they were both friendly. It seems relatively clean. Everything on shelves was folded nearly. Overall, a good shopping experience.

Customer service is excellent especially when ordering online. I usually receive notice that the item is in within an hour or two. Employees are always helpful in the store as well. Its nice to see that some businesses are still concerned about customer service.

I cant remember the store managers name but during the Christmas holidays he took the time out to assist me with Levis and over the weekend he assisted me in purchasing sheets. He was very kind and knowledgeable about the thread count and why high thread count is not always the best.

The mens big & tall section had a very small selection to choose from. It used to have a much better selection of clothes. Very disappointed 😡

Very kind and courteous employees, including the dressing room monitor people and the cashiers! The dressing room people were very helpful, and the cashier (Beverly) was perfect because she helped us find the best coupon and didn’t pressure us into getting a JC Penny’s card. Dressing rooms needed to be swept, but other than that, the shopping experience was ideal.

I just needed to run in and pick up some shoes for an event on the weekend. I found something suitable and luckily in my size. I miss the good old days when the stores fully function. But thanks to Covid and online shopping the experience is just not the same. I set my stuff down to take my sweater off and forgot my purse! When I started looking for it I went back and forth the areas I had been. Asked one gentleman for help, twice, nope. He was not a sales person, but I felt like he could have offered some help or advice.Seemed like forever since I was trying not to stress, a manager helped me, going back and forth. I was told if it is found, they will take it to the cashiers office. Three times I checked to see if it was there. Finally I decided to run home and cancel my cards and lock my phone. Upon leaving, I gave one of the cashiers my email address to contact me if it was found. Also asked her to hold my clothes I planned on buying.Got on the internet at a neighbors house and located my phone. Cancelled my cards and saw the location had moved, but I could then tell that it was at Pennys. I called them and they said yes, one of the cashiers had my purse the whole time. They told me, She was too busy helping customers to get it to the cashiers office. Well, well. . . who was I?Because my cards were cancelled, I could not buy the three items. I did not go back, and really doubt I will ever go back after that experience and inconvenience. Had there been better management and communication, I really believe I would have had my purse within a short time frame. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience. The other was at a different location, twice, different issue, poor communication.

I have not visited JCPenney for a while and decided to place a same day pickup order of an item that is only available at this store coming all the way from Arlington. I arrived at 7pm and was debating to do a curbside pickup or go in the store. Due to the drizzle and that I might grab something in store before picking up the order, I went in. Just as usual, there is no welcome to JCPenney and the employees doesnt care if you are there, and are not there to help you locate the items. After taking some time searching for items I might purchase as I pickup the order, I decided to proceed to pickup first. The pickup process was easy as it should be, and the employee who processed my pickup order was not nice, she does not even care to say thank you even after I thanked her for getting my pickup order. Afterwards, I continued to searching for my items and continue seeing unhappy employees that dont give a shoot if you are there not asking if you need help. After being completely lost in the store, I decided to go up to one of the employee I walked into and was able to get me to where the item area is at. I then continue searching for the item to no success.While the store was still open, I decided to visit the Sephora inside the JCPenney, as I wanted to use the promo to get a free trial/travel sized item with $25+ purchase that is only available for purchases at a Sephora inside JCPenney. While the two employees inside the Sephora were nice and helpful, due to the lack of knowledge and them being out of stock on most everything, I was able to get two items in there. Upon checkout at the Sephora inside the JCPenney store, I presented them the coupon that I got from an email from Sephora, they had no idea how to deal with it. When they were not able to scan the free product from the promo email Sephora sent me, they finally decided to call a JCPenney manager who happened to be the not very nice girl who helped me get the pickup order come and say that it was not the right item they scanned, and that they dont have the free gift from the $25 purchase in store that Sephora sent me. It was not until 8:12pm that I was able to finish paying for the $25 purchase that I decided to buy, even that they turn out not to have the free gift from the email, as I hate to just leave that Sephora store without anything after them helping me finding the products. This is also when I learned that the Sephora card do not work at Sephora inside JCPenney store, where I could have gotten 4% cash back, at least I hope I get points for this purchase.Even as a JCPenney card holder, Sephora card holder, and Sephora Beauty Insider, I am very disappointed by this JCPenney and the Sephora inside this JCPenney store. I am hoping that the pickup order and the two items I got at that Sephora will work, and I will skip this store even if I happened to be around any day.

Its a basic Pennys. I picked up items here I ordered online so shipping was free and I appreciate that service. The staff were friendly and greeted me as I came in and left. The 3 stars is because of the prices, which seem too much for what youre buying, especially in womens clothing.

Excellent selection in every department! And best of all the fitting rooms ARE open! They did not have allll of them open but i was able to actually try things on which is so nice when buying under garments.

A great familiar department store to catch casual holiday shopping with tons of sales. The staff offer courtesy and excellent customer service as well. Closing at 10p.m. on weekday evenings is a plus for the busy last-minute holiday shopper.

I went to JC Penney to buy clothes for a funeral. When I asked to try on some tops, the woman working the fitting rooms was extremely rude and I ended up walking away without trying the clothing on. I went up to the front to purchase the clothing because she said I could return what I didn’t want and then laughed. The woman at the check out was absolutely amazing. She was just as upset as I was. I did not get her name but she needs recognition! Thank you!

Not sure why the associates just stare at you as you walk by as opposed to GREETING you. I had 3 just stare as I walked by. How about help me find the shoe department? ... Got there and they didnt have anything, old lady shoes. Guess they have never seen a black lady before. Will not return.

JC Penny had lots of items on sale this week. Very reasonable pricing for quality products. I bought 2 swim suits on clearance for $19 (for both) that were regularly $64. Not crowded at all so you can browse and take your time. Sizes on some items were on the not so popular side but there were many choices in clothes and shoes. Go.

Good place to shop, until you have to return a high priced item. I can see why JCPenny stores are closing. The stores maybe ok, but the return department in corporate level is horrible. Customer service is way below par. I have been waiting for months now for a refund check for a faulty mattress that was returned. And we had to pay restock fees, plus interest fee on card for the refund taking so long. Go to Wal-Mart, Target or Kohls first.

I love buying at JCPenney, but in this store there are not a great customer service. Well not everybody off course. I receive a gift from a friend from Orlando and was to big and the person at the return area told me that since I didn’t have the ticket she would have to give me a gift card with the lowest 45 days clearance, but that if I find the same shirt or the same brand with the same style she could exchange it for the original price, so I proceed and went to get a shirt. When I went back to that register the “supervisor” her name CAROL was so unfriendly and the employee told her what happen and she says that she can’t respect what the girl from the register say. Firstable a employee can’t tell something to a customer and than change what she said, and secondable the “supervisor” can’t be rude to a client, and I put supervisor with this “ quotation marks” because instead of explaining to me and saying SORRY for the mistake her employee did, she had this bad attitude and I even say ( what a customer service) and she didn’t say a word, is a shame that such a big company has this type of unprofessional employee, they should give them a better training to how to treat the customers, other wise they should stay home, or work in a place that they don’t have to deal with people.What else can I say, I was a customer that buys there every weeks, but believe me I won’t ever go back again.

I shopped here in the evening and it was relatively quiet. They acknowledged me as I walked in the store and throughout my shopping experience several staff members did ask if I needed assistance. Checkout was fast and easy, and the young man who checked me was professional and courteous.

Today I went to purchase a shirt for my husband who has a reunion on Saturday after I found the shirt I went into Clarence for woman’s I found two shirts when I was done I went to the cashier she remove the hangers from the shirts scan the shirts that I found for me and then she scanned the shirt that I was buying for my husband and then she look at me and then she said the shirt is not on clearance and she start putting it back on the hanger like she was for sure that I wasn’t going to take it and I asked her I what is the problem she made me feel bad like I didn’t have money to pay the shirt I felt discriminated I felt like she was judging me she doesn’t know me she doesn’t know how much money I have it is not her job to be judging people like that

Staff is wonderful! Price was perfect! Had to get a suit for my 16 year old son and really needed help finding his size. The lady who helped us was fabulous and the suit was on sale for 50% off. The shirt was on sale and buy one get one free. Got the socks belt, tie. He looked great and it was a great quality suit.

Because I didnt shop at JC Penny I got my hair done in the Salon.

Had to go to the store to exchange an item. The young women at the customer service counter were exceptional. It was so quick and easy to get this done. Great job.

Recently went into the Burleson branch hair salon for a cut for my daughter and my son. OMG the destroyed their hair ! it was horrible experience ! they hired some stylist without skills ! Two employee worked on their hair and could not fix it ! look at the picture to figure out! Very disappointed and likely not returning ! If you want everybody make joke about your hair try them.

Not what it use to be just a matter of time before they close the doors

Prices are very high even sales. They have gotten rid of many high quality brands and opted for low quality at crazy high prices. No greeting when I walked in. I was in the store for an hour shopping different sections including jewelry, accessories and lingerie and not one employee asked if they could help me find anything. When I did find a middle aged female employee where a fitting room is, she answered me like I should know better and talked about me behind my back while I walked away as if I should know the layout of the store as well as she. Highly rude and lacking in any customer service. The only good thing was the cashiers were kind and professional. And always love the salon.

It was very easy to get around in the store and I was quickly through the line at Christmas time. I enjoyed not having associates all over me while I was shopping. I am the type that will ask for help if I need it, but do not like being stalked by associates. The displays were a little messy, but that was from the shoppers picking through things and not returning them as found. Retail workers really have to put up with and clean/reorganize a lot. The associates were cheery and polite when we checked out. I really had expected them to be tired and short with us and move us through like cattle. I am glad they did not and will not return to this location.

They didnt have what I needed and I just had to sign over $130 on a dress I didnt even like bc I was rushed! And when it was ALMOST closing time, I felt like I was being hassled and rushed by some guy going around saying they are getting ready to close.I was buying a $130 dress, that I had to have by next day, he didnt need to be like that.And no one was helpful at all when asked about dresses when I first arrived.There seems to be more focus on closing 30min prior to closing vs just helping a customer so they CAN leave.

Big sale last week. Bought several things for my husband who normally wont let me spend money on his clothes until hes practically naked. JC Penney has been around all my life and Im 55. I trust it; you know?

Was shopping with my wife for her birthday, but was asked by an employee to leave from the vicinity of the fitting rooms while she was trying on jackets that she wanted my opinion on. The fitting rooms dont distinguish gender in any way, and there are doors for privacy. I was not in the room with her (that would be weird), so I can only assume men arent wanted here. Ill shop elsewhere.

The manager Jackie was really rude to myself amd my cousin, she refused to sell me a watch that was on sale, the price was 59.99 . I showed her the watch online and it did not state the the price was only online only. She rung up the watch didnt ask if i wanted the protection plan, she wouldnt even honor the 30% off coupon. She said she could only give me 10% off.then She told me if you dont want the watch just leave. I would not be shopping at this location ever agian!!!!!
