I was 13 minutes late to an appointment due to I took a fall right before leaving injured myself. I live 1 hour and 30 minutes away, they would not try to fit me in. Then because my prescription was of course out of date hence my appointment I couldn’t get any samples for an upcoming trip. This place has always treated clients as a number I would consider this before using this doctor’s office!
This place is absolute garbage since it was taken over by MyEyeDr. Glasses take weeks to get now. Scratched lenses have to be sent off and can’t just be ordered or swapped out like they used to. Their insurance billing department is another nightmare now. Nothing against the employees here, they do all they can.
LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I went here after being turned away, from Burleson Eye Care, with a sleeping baby in a car seat.. for being only 6 minutes early (instead of 10) to my appointment.God works in mysterious ways because I MUCH prefer Dr. Wise and his amazing staff. They have great customer service and are always upfront about cost! First eye place I’ve been in 10 years who hasn’t hit me with “surprise fees.”Dr. Wise is always honest, takes his time, and goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and confident in my eye care. Thank you Dr. Wise and staff!!
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO USE FOR EYE CARE! Initially, I loved this company because they were the only ones accepting walk-ins during the beginning of last year when Covid hit, and I needed an eye exam done to get more contacts ordered. Fast forward to last month (Dec 2020), when I ordered more contacts, since the ones I was using were my last pair. I ordered them, waited a week and a half, and when they came in they were the wrong brand completely. I was told they would not reorder the contacts I initially ordered until I brought the wrong ones back to them. Well, I work 3 days straight, 13 hour days and ended up using the contacts before I could take them back because my old ones tore. These contacts are terrible and irritate my eyes, they blur my vision, and Ive had 2 pairs rip in my eye for no reason. I got the order in at the end of December, and I have gone through 5 pairs of contacts so far in 2.5 weeks. I contacted them on Monday (1/18/2020) and told them they needed to order the contacts I WANTED and initially ordered, because my eyes dont like these contacts and it was their mistake to begin with for ordering the wrong ones. I was told they were going to order them that day, and overnight them. Today (1/21/2020), I STILL dont have my contacts, and Im being told they wont be here till the 27th. So I guess I wont be able to see for another 6 days. But I guess they dont care because they dont seem to be bothered by the fact that I need contacts to function in my daily life. And hopefully, I wont end up with a corneal ulcer due to the irritation from these contacts while Im waiting another week for my contacts to come in. Just save yourself the strife and use another company who will actually do their job correctly to begin with, and will care if they do mess up.
Great experience at Vision City in Burleson! Dr. Wise is very professional and mixes in personal conversation for a delightful eye exam. The staff are very patient and kind! They are well trained and knowledgeable when explaining the different types of lenses.
I loved my experience!!! Katelyn was the sweetest, most helpful young lady! She was beyond patient when I was trying on all 50 different pairs of glasses and hyped me up when we picked the perfect pair! I got my glasses and sunglasses the SAME day as my exam! I will never go anywhere else! Seriously looovvveee Katelyn!!!! Give her a raise y’all!
Brady is a rockstar!! I was having trouble with glasses I purchased 8 months ago. He adjusted them for me near closing time and helped me find lighter frames. Thanks Brady!! Customer service at Vision City is top notch!! This is one of the best eye drs that I have ever been too. After getting rushed in and out by big box stores optometrists. I am so thankful we found Vision City. This staff needs a raise! They go above and beyond!!

Did not go to this facility but wanted to congratulate the eye doctor there who evidently did not require his patients to wear masks but also did not wear one himself and telling the patients “they don’t work so why wear one?” You now are famous for not practicing safe distancing and you are being applauded on Facebook for allowing possible exposure to everyone in your clinic - “GO HERE! This doctor doesn’t wear a mask and he won’t make you wear one either!”How professional 😂 great job!
I have been going to Vision City Burleson for years, but my last visit did not go well. I went in asking for help with my vision for working on a computer and for reading. A bifocal was recommended by the doctor as I dont need help with distance vision. The technician I was given asked me if I wanted a lined bifocal or no line and that was it. I naturally said no line not knowing what I was being sold. The price was almost double what I normally pay, but I have never had bifocals so I assumed this was just what I had to pay for my aging eyes. When I picked them up a week later, I couldnt see my computer screen, couldnt read, but had some distance vision. I went back the same day and explained to another technician what I was experiencing. He explained that I was given progressive lenses so that I could read, see the screen, and see distance. I might have kept them if I could have read and seen the screen, but I couldnt do either. He explained that my prescription was correct, so my only alternative was to go to lined bifocals. I asked if this progressive lens was why I had to pay so much and he told me that those lenses are very costly. So, my issue is that I paid for an expensive lens that I didnt ask for, didnt get any explanation about, and now dont have because I couldnt do the two things I needed to do with them. I asked today what the cost difference was and if I would receive a refund for the difference. The original technician told me no, that was not possible and that I had agreed to no line lenses. Shes right. I did. And I am agreeing that my entire family and I will use another vision doctor in the future. She didnt seem too concerned that I wont be back.
My first ever eye visit was with Dr. Wise. He was very professional, but with humor. I felt very comfortable the whole visit. The office staff was very polite and Katelyn was awesome and so patient as I nervously tried contacts. She also helped me pick out frames for glasses. They even let me try several weeks of different brands of contacts at no cost. I have been pleased with every visit. They were out of the strength I needed in a certain brand of contact that I wanted to try...but they made a point to contact the rep and 20 minutes later...I had what I wanted.They have gone above and beyond I feel in patient care and also in representing their business.
WHY ARE PEOPLE giving this place a bad review!?!?!?!? This is the best eye place I have ever gone to. It went Way better than expected. Super friendly and the doctor is super nice and answer questions very clearly in a way that everyone can understand. I will pass this information on to my family and this is our new best eye doctor place
They lack customer service and efficiency! I called the first time to obtain my contact prescription since I was only given the glasses script. Receptionist was rude and said she was going to fax it but failed to do so. I called the next day and specifically asked for the contact script and she sent me the glasses one and kept insisting it was for both. I was trying to be nice and said okay, took it to my vision center and the tech confirmed it was only for glasses. What a waste of time! I clearly paid for both exams and expected to receive both scripts at the same time instead of going through the trouble. Don’t recommend at all!
I usually have good experience here. It has now been 3 weeks since i have ordered my glasses and I cannot get an answer as to when they will come in. I just would expect a little faster service. Jesse
Man. I am super impressed with Vision City. Super friendly staff, top of the line equipment, and a huge selection of glasses. My visit took less than an hour and I picked my glasses that same moment because they cut the lenses RIGHT FREAKING THERE! I used to have to wait 3 weeks at the old place. Highly recommended. 10/10
I love Vision City in Burleson! On my third pair of glasses from them. They always get my prescription correct. I’ve never had anyone get it better! The staff and Drs are very friendly and helpful. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied. Thank you for all that you do!
Took only 30 min to do the exam and pick my frames. My glasses were ready 30 min later. Very polite and professional staff. Most comfortable glasses I’ve worn in almost 40 years. They didn’t even need to adjust the frames. If anything they were a little short staffed, but appeared to be doing interviews. All around best eye doctor visit I’ve ever had. Glad I tried them and I’ll definitely be back.
I have never had a bad experience here. Dr. Wise is passionate, knowledgeable, and treats you like an individual, no matter how routine your exam is. One time he spent considerable time/patience getting paint flecks out of my husband’s cornea, and was very enthusiastic about it! I highly recommend this office to anybody.

Always a great visit. The staff is very efficient and helpful with intake, and procedures. Dr. Wise always has knowledgeable input and explains any concerns thoroughly within the appointment. Very appreciative with this location and its staff.

I am 63 years old and I got the best eye exam I have ever had in my entire life with Dr Wise. The staff there was very kind and very helpful. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Oh and the prices were very good too.

A lot of the 1 star reviews Ive seen about this place was complaints about a rude office staff. Weve been going here for YEARS and weve never had an issue. Today was no different. Lisa, who I made the appointment with was nice and professional. The staff is great and Dr. Wise is great! We love this place and plan to continue to keep coming back.

Ive been going here for at least the last 5yrs but with the doctors and staff they have right now and the service I received and the way I was belittled I would not recommend going here you pay a premium price here for quality of service which they cant provide. If you like quality care respectful and helpful staff that enjoy their jobs this isnt the place for you.
Love that they are open late and even open Saturday AND SUNDAY! They have friendly staff and a wide variety of glasses. I gave a 4 as the furniture and testing chairs need to be updated/cleaned.
You want high quality service with high quality glasses. Vision city in burleson is the only place I will go. I was extremely satisfied with my care and they are now my go to place for glasses.
Wonderful service, as always.....I took my 90 year old mother, again, today...Dr. Wise is so very patient. That, in itself is such an extraordinary quality to have when you work with elderly. I am so grateful for all of the staff and their kindness today and every time I go. Only place I have gone to for many, many years. They will do anything to help you and if there is a problem, will resolve it. Truly recommend!!!!!!!!!
Ive been going to this Vision City location for 4 years now and have never had a bad experience with them! They helped me get my first pair of glasses there and since then Ive just been replacing the lenses. If they have your lenses in stock, they will cut them down for your frames same day. Dr. Wise and the other medical support staff are very friendly and help make you feel comfortable. Ms. Jewel was our consultant for glasses and she was terrific!! My mom decided when we got there that she wanted to try on and order glasses and she was helpful and patient throughout all of our questions.I do have to agree and disagree with other reviews about the front desk staff: they were a little short and not very welcoming, but they were not rude to us at all. Ive never experienced rudeness in my visits at this Vision City. I was barely awake for my early morning appointment, so I cant expect them to be bright-eyed and on 100%. I would encourage others who say that the front desk staff was rude to consider the fact that they are doing a lot with maintaining medical records, working with insurance companies, scheduling appointments, And providing customer service to people present at the same time. It was not a big deal to me and didnt affect my overall experience at all. I will definitely go to this Vision City for as long as I live in the DFW area.
With Walmart it probably wouldve taken a few days, broke my glasses & was looking around for a place, everyone was busy so I chose Vision City, they didnt disappoint, kind optometrist & helpful team! Had my glasses done a few hours later.
Went in today to order my glasses. My representative was Ms ANNICA. She was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and helpful In both helping me choose my frames and sunglasses. She measured and fitted me to precision and perfection all the while carrying on a normal conversation. She even laughed at my joking. A very friendly yet professional atmosphere. I didnt have a bad experience but I do wish some of the staff were more professional and on top of things... Ive never had a problem bringing my child in the room with me this is when she was about 1 though. I can understand if the the kid was older and not acting appropriate in there... but other than that not to shabby of a place.

Worst front desk service. Booked appt asked to be moved later they said no. Never had problems before and before also able to walk in and get worked in. Gone several years never a problem until now. Taking my money and looking for better service elsewhere. Always saying completely booked but yet lobby was empty 😡
Once youre actually able to speak to somebody to schedule an appointment, youll be pleased to find out that Dr. Wise is a terrific optometrist. However, his front desk staff are incompetent and lazy. It should not be difficult and a hassle to make an eye appointment. They leave you on hold and seem to forget about you. I went last May and was hoping to return as a customer but because of the aggravation I have to go through just to make an appointment I am going with another vision provider this time.
Took my daughter in to get glasses, Shelly was wonderful to work with, she answered all our questions and explained all the different options available. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.
Dr. Wise is the absolute best optometrist Ive ever had. The whole staff is always welcoming and very helpful. Definitely recommend them to everyone when I get the chance!

Nope. Not coming back to this place again. The Dr. was great but the front staff are RUDE. Talking to each other was more important than getting patient questions answered without getting the look back of us inconveniencing them. Heck instead of them helping you look for glasses, they just sat on their @$$es talking. Worst place ever. I really should have went somewhere else but it was for my son. Great Doctor but need new front staff.

Doctor McDaniel was great, but the front staff were awful. All they did was talk among themselves. I was given a prescription, and while browsing their selection of lenses one of the receptionists was waiting on me in a disgruntled mood. She talked loudly with her coworker about not being able to eat lunch yet. Finally, while I was still browsing, she actually recommended that I look some place else. REALLY? I will take my money elsewhere then, and I will never, ever, ever go here again. I have passed the information along to my family who will not be going here either.
My wife and I saw Dr. Jackie and really liked her. She was friendly, professional and thorough. We had a great experience.

My family has been going to Vision City and Dr. Wise for several years now and the service is always outstanding! Easy to get appointment, no waiting and very helpful with the process of picking out frames and contacts.
Sadly, after two unpleasant experiences I have decided to use another provider. Dr. Kent Wise is a great person, and a great Doctor. I have no issues with him. But the first time out, my wife and I got our prescription lenses and frames there this time 2 years ago, but my wifes prescription for her right eye was never right it made her feel dizzy when she walked with them on. we went back and talked with the staff and they check the lenses that they were correct to what the prescription was written, and they said they were correct and there wasnt anything they could do about them. so, the next day we went to another place and they re tested her eyes with the electronic device that determines your prescription strength and then with the dr there, and they confirmed that the prescription was off considerably from what Dr. Wise had prescribed. two years later, I needed to get my glasses and frames in a pinch on my day off, Vision city was the only place this late in the year to have a same day appointment available. I went in and had my eyes checked, picked out some nice frames. got them back a week later. everything was blurry, both close up and far away. went back next day. come to find out the reason they are blurry is because they are bifocals without the line. told them this is horrible and will not work for me because I could see better without them on! I need my HD crystal clear vision. So, they made some new lenses with single vision prescription. They are somewhat better than before but when I put my glasses on from last year that I got at the other place (Americas Best), in direct comparison, they are just poor quality vision. I see double images when there are oncoming headlights mediocre clear vision and on top of that, there are visual defects in the actual lens, like the scratch resistant coating was spayed on and had drips. Bottom line. I think that there is a quality concern here and I will not be returning. I will stick with my new place from now on. For what it is worth, I never had any issues with the staff, other than them standing in circle talking about how bored they were, etc. but very friendly overall and good customer service.
Pretty awesome, laid back place. Staff was all chipper as was the doctor. Prices seemed fair, comparatively. Got my glasses in 30 MINUTES! Pretty awesome considering Ive had it take days before. Only bad thing is locaton. Traffic by Kohls and Ross during the holidays is insane.
Marissa Lorenz review is corrrect. It actually bothers me to give two stars because I really think they want to do a good job. As a 40 year business owner I can see it coming the minute I see facial expressions. I saw it but went ahead because of katlyn.The problem is a disconnect with the ownership and front office personal. They are asked to do things that they are not qualified to do. It actually makes me angry that good girls are put in situations that are the responsibility of ownership.If you are the average person with the average eye needs you will probably be ok with a contact/eye glass mill. If you are not the average person and require more personalized help then you should see a private practice one on one eye doctors office.Katlyn you are the sweetest and most caring person I have met in a long time. Kudos to you girl. Dr ford great job.The other girls same thing I truly believe you care. The ownership needs to get your head out sand and take these reviews with the same theme seriously. Of course they wont. This review was my honest opinion based on facts and not emotion.
WORST experience Ive ever had to deal with. Very RUDE, NOT helpful at all. Parents can NOT go back with kids (no reason we shouldnt be allowed to). They got my daughters glasses and contacts both wrong the 1st time. In 2 months time ive had to go in there 10 times and still having trouble with them. They are NOT wanting to give me my prescription for my contacts so i can order them else where. I WILL NOT recommend them to ANYONE AT ALL.If i could ID give them NO stars
