Mike is AMAZING. Best service I have had from a bike shop in a long time. Super accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly. Appreciated how quickly they were able to turn around my bike. His crew was awesome too - I walked in and the guy who serviced my bike remembered my name and bike (after having stopped by for the first time for all of five minutes the day prior). I went to 3 different cycle/bike shops on the Peninsula before I landed at Summit in Burlingame. There was an immediate difference. Different energy, different feeling in the shop ... instantly welcoming, warm and friendly, the staff was eager to help me. No question of mine was dumb ... Im a beginner with a lot to learn, and I felt my salesperson, Joe Wang, would take any amount of time I needed. Other staff, too, checked in with me ... was I getting what I needed? Did I have anything else I wanted to learn/know about? Its not just one kind person at Summit - its the whole companys ethos that shines through. You can FEEL the positive, inclusive vibe the whole time youre there. And the quality is top-notch ... these folks are pure experts who only stock the best. Now I wont go anywhere else when it comes to bikes.

Bought a gravel bike. The shop staff, especially Joe, was a great help. Great neighborhoods behind the shop to try out bikes. Also, lifetime service when you buy a bike. Great shop. Big inventory.

I ordered my new bike online, wait time wasnt as bad as I expected. About a month for a hybrid womens bike. Online team very communicative about expectations. I picked up at Burlingame store and the staff were really friendly and helped me pick out the accessories I needed.

Great buying experience in helping identify the perfect road bike. And the in-store professionalism on the seat & pedal fitting, after the bike arrived, was terrific. I will definitely be coming back to Summit for tune-ups after many good rides.

Store is clean and well lit. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Good selection of bikes and accessories. Tom, Jeremy and Grant helped with the selection of my new Trek Dual Sport 3 in Factory Orange. They were very helpful from start to finish. So far the experience has been fantastic.

Just picked up my Trek and the staff is friendly and patient to assist. Quickly solved a problem on the noise from the loose brake disc (Maybe the assembling should be more carefully checked). Im also satisfied with the Wahoo GPS computer recommended by the staff. Nice service!

Recently stopped by the Burlingame Summit Bikes shop to get some work done on my bike and have been very impressed with the care and effort the team took with it. I knew I needed to have a bottom bracket overhauled, but upon getting it back, it became evident that more work was required to solve some remaining noises. The team there rescheduled the bike for more maintenance and were incredibly thorough looking for the source of the noise. When I went to pick the bike up, they walked me through everything they did and why.Additional positive points:1) They allowed me to take my bike home and bring it back on the scheduled date.2) They understood what my goal was and took the time and care to really put the bike through its paces on a hill behind the shop3) The shop has a nice selection of items for sale and Ill be happy to support them in the future when I next need somethingThe only downside is that it can be difficult to get an employee over the phone, but that is manageable if you know that going in.All the employees there seem really passionate about cycling and I look forward to interacting with them again.

Beautiful store, i definitely recommend to anyone in the area.Just bought my 1st bike in 25 years, and even with all the craziness of COVID they were stellar. They had a great system to get people in and out of the store quickly and safely, and 2 separate lines one for service and one for sales.I will definitely be back and send anyone i come across on over.

Staff is generally helpful, but unfortunately they dont honor their policies.I had gone into the store about 2 years ago with my brother to rent bicycles (as he had came out to visit me). The reason why we choose to rent here is that they told us that the rental cost could be placed towards a future bicycle purchase.Knowing that it would be quite awhile till I wanted to purchase an actual bicycle, we asked if the credit would expire. We were ensured that it would never expire by the staff member at the store.Fast forward to the present, I recently went in with my receipt from 2 years ago and was told that it could only be redeemed within 1 year.I left the store and bought a bike elsewhere. I just dont appreciate a store that isnt honest or will change their policies.I guess I should have gotten it all down in writing.... thats a lesson learned the hard way.

Great selection of gear, knowledgeable and helpful staff, good prices. They have some serious expertise and can help you pick the right bike, the right accessories, and fix what you break. They did a great job repairing a crack in my bikes carbon fiber fork at a reasonable cost.

I consider it a blessing to have a fine bike shop like Summit Bicycles in our neighborhood though I live in San Bruno.Back in the 90s, there was a decent bike shop in downtown San Bruno. What happened to it? Oh well.

4.5 Stars. Ive had only good experiences with Summit. Their COVID safety protocols seemed well thought out.

I’m one of the guys who read and rely on reviews, but rarely do ones.This time is is must for various reasons.All Summit Bicycle stores in Bay Area are super nice, but the one in Burlingame I’ve been going to for years is simply the best.Attitude, greetings, service, knowledgeable advise staff, etc etcRecently I had my regular bike tune up and noticed one of the customers inappropriate behavior that deeply affected one of the store service staff members.I truly hope that store management regularly recognizes each of Burlingame store team members and somehow protects them from folks like the one I witnessed.To rest of the loyal and new customers if you really need good bike, service or even good chat about this industry go visit Burlingame Summit Bike Store.

I’ve bought 5 bikes at Summit and have referred friends to get their bikes here. They have a great selection of bikes and the service is top notch. Anthony is awesome and extremely helpful. I love buying bikes here because they also offer lifetime free maintenance/tuneups. It’s the only place to go if you’re in the market of a nice bike.

Just the other day my boyfriend and I had stopped by to inquire about our bike orders we had placed online a week ago. The order status had not changed so we decided to go into the store to ask. It was near closing time but the employees were so attentive, friendly and professional. They did not try to rush anyone they had let in the store. Anthony was awesome with trying to locate our order. Even though he wasnt able to give us a current status, he gave us information on who to contact and etc. We were able to reach out to the person and will be getting our bikes soon.

I went in for an emergency...a bolt on my stem was rounded...and I needed to get the bars out. The guys at Summit got the bolt out and gave me a set of 4. Awesome service!

Excellent Customer Service and a Safe Environment! There are two lines for service and new purchases. There are social distancing and masks requirements in place. I felt very comfortable and safe with the protocols they have in place. I dropped off my bike for service and the line moved quickly. The staff was super organized and helpful! I received an assessment of the service required for my bike and was informed that the annual maintenance and new parts would take a week. I received a call within the week that my bike was ready early! I picked it up and it feels like a brand new bike! Wow! I am super excited to ride it and explore the bay!

Staff was efficient and helpful. Store was clean organized and had ample staff on the floor and in the service area. All Covid-19 protocols seemed to be in practice. I went there to buy a saddle and will go back for service this week!

It seems to me that they were not in a hurry to sell me a bike. I told the salesman what I wanted and I was shown 3 bikes, one I just didnt want the other was already sold and would have to be special order, and the 3rd bike I wanted but they would have to trim the seat post wich would void any return. ☹

Always excellent service and selection. I bought my bike there years ago and love knowing that I have free tune-ups for life. Just bought my 15yo son his first serious bike and it was awesome.

Even during shelter in place these guys are the best. Limited people in the store and line moved quickly. I visited Summit convinced that I needed to replace some parts on my bike. The service team took a look and was able to fix the issue for half the cost of replacing the parts. Great to have people who are looking out for their customers.

Brought in my bike that I purchased on FB and wanted to have it tuned up and fix whatever needed to be fixed.I’m not very knowledgeable on bikes so I wanted to bring it to an expertNot only did they grease my chain and do a full inspection they told me that the bike was in such good shape that no service was needed.That kind of honesty really impressed me as they could have easily told me the Flux Capacitor was bad and I would have paid to fix it.I ended up buying my GF a helmet and some tools and a phone holder just to support and spend something there.I will absolutely bring my bike back when it’s time for a tune up and 100% my next bike will be from these guys.Great customer service and honest employees

I ordered a discounted demo bike online which I was really excited about. After a couple of days I noticed there was no change in status to my order so I called...and called and never got through. I then sent an email asking for status, no response. I tried calling again and finally got through to someone, he looked into my order and said they should be able to get It shipped out that Friday. Not that I didn’t believe him but I was anxious for the bike so I called that Friday just to confirm. After about 15 minutes of being on hold they told me that store sold the bike. Of course there was no answer as to why and there was not much they could do for me at that point and in the end I was left very upset and disappointed in this bike shop.

All the folks over at Summit are great. Im returning to the sport after a lot of years away and they were all very helpful, knowledgeable, and, unlike a couple of stores that Ive been to, completely understanding and patient with someone who is starting from square one.If youre looking to get back into the sport or are just looking for a good local bike shop, you cant go wrong with Summit.

Personal service. Did great on telling us what bikes would suit our needs, let us try them out, fit them to us, helped us decide on accessories, but were not pushy and did not break the bank. Are there if we have any questions and we have maintenance and service free if we need it. We went to many bike shops and ended up back at Summit Bikes due to their excellent service. Would recommend to anyone.

Very helpful!! They found a difficult to find part for me to order on eBay and installed it perfectly. They also gave me a few options for additional repairs that included a budget or Premo option with no pressure to purchase either way. Summit Bicycles in Burlingame will be my goto bike shop from now on.

Didnt have plans on purchasing a new bike (motorized). Well $1,500.00 later, no interest for 12 months. We did it. If it wasnt for the kind, patient and knowledgeable sales associate, we probably wouldnt have purchased it. Great place.

I test rode 3 bicycles from low to high price range. Summit provided excellent customer service helping with the selection process. Several options were discussed. I am still thinking about which bike I would like. I also brought in an ebike for a check up. The turn around was quick within 2 days. They even helped me with loading the bike on the rack. I highly recommend this place.

Took my new bike in to check out the brakes. I was immediately greeted by the staff behind the workshop. They took my bike in as a walk in and identified the problem in seconds. Turned out to be some warranty work, which they said theyd take care of. They ordered the part, and replaced it on my bike without me having to do a thing. Outstanding service and care, especially considering I didnt buy the bike there. These guys absolutely have my business going forward. Great selection of components, as well as knowledgeable and friendly staff, which seems to be rare at a lot of other bike shops in the Bay area.

Ive only had good experiences working with this bike shop. The staff are totally devoted to cycling and no job is too small for them to help out with. Prices are always reasonable, and they always get the job done on time. What more could you ask for?

I visited the Burlingame location to pick up a bike that I ordered online. Jake was super professional and helpful when assisting me with my pickup. They guys in the shop were also very timely and transparent when installing extra accessories on my bike.

Im on my third bike from Summit. I love that my bike has lifetime tune-ups on it. I take my bike in about every ~6 months to keep it in tip, top shape. Eric is an awesome mechanic, and takes great care of my bike. He also taught me how to change out my tires and gives great tips. Hes the most helpful out of most of the staff, and I really appreciate his patience and knowledge. Prior to meeting him I really didnt look forward to taking my bike in. It was more of a chore in that respect, and dealing with some of the other egos there. I wish they had more offerings in apparel for female athletes, the pickings are very slim in that respect. Otherwise, I appreciate being able to get re-fitted on my bike when settings get changed and know my bike is configured in its optimal way.

I had my bike checked by Mike, I understood what had to be done and exactly why . Got it back on time. Everything looks and feels great for now . Didnt have a chance to check it out on the mountain yet .

Came to this place for a simple rear break wire replacement on a Saturday. Probably a 15-30min job max. First I was told they can’t look at it by Wednesday. Then I was quoted for annual tuneup and on top of part costs for 260$ and all I needed was a rear break wire installation. Stay away from this ripoff place.

These guys are the best. Took the time to walk me through exactly what I needed to do a wheel build with no pressure. Will be going back and recommending 👍🏼👍🏼.

Avoid this shop! The recent surge in business seems to be an excuse for poor customer service and rude treatment from the staff. If you like to be screamed at and cursed at, then go ahead...Ill take my money and business elsewhere!

Great advice on options - very neutral between options you stock and other options in the market. Did a great job servicing the bike, told me what needed doing without pushing any unnecessary extra work. Runs great and looks shiny!
