I had the same thing happen this year as last. I placed an online order and it was cancelled the same day by the store saying it was out of stock. I drove to the store and found a similar item the same day and was told I didnt get the online discount because I was buying in store now instead of online. I went back home and placed an online order at the Iowa City store and it was handled perfectly.Two weeks after the Burlington stores order was cancelled I still didnt have a refund. After a phone call to the store, one to their corporate office and an email, I received the refund 18 days later. I love to shop at Joann stores, but will never order online from this one again.

The assistant manager was awesome provided great service an so was the lady who help me to cut my fabric! This store is wonderful an very attentive to their guest needs. Good job keep up the good service 👍

They have a big assortment of items. The only thing they didnt have is used sewing machines. Thats what I was looking for. The employees are always nice.

Went to JoAnns today to buy air-dry clay and Plaster of Paris; got to the register and the woman asks me if Im over the age of 18. I say yes, as Im actually 19 years old, and she says I dont believe you. She said that MORE THAN ON TIME and never asked for my ID. I showed her my ID out of annoyance because she kept calling me a liar.Terrible behavior. She couldve asked me for my ID from the beginning or, after hearing me say I was over 18, asked me for my ID then; but no, she decided to call me a liar multiple times.Would have talked to the manager right then and there but I had to get somewhere.Wouldnt recommend this place considering I spoke to other people in town and theyve all had similar bad experiences.Lesson of the day; dont call your customers liars. I am an adult.

I usually have a great experience here. Im taking off a star for the curbside ordering. I seem to have this issue a lot lately. I order online and place my order. Then before it is fulfilled, I get notified that several things are out of stock. When I pick up my order the very next day, I look through the store and the items that are out of stock are fully stocked on the shelves! Every one of them. The problem with Joanns happened to be during a sale, which was ended the next day when I picked up my order, therefore, I couldnt just grab the out of stock items off the shelf. They were then too expensive for my budget. Not sure why this happens but its frustrating.

I learned this store is under all new management, and it definitely shows. Entire store was clean and organized. Plenty of staff this day. Seems like theyre finally getting it right.

Been a customer for years. I placed an online order for an item that was in-stock. Five minutes after ordering it was cancelled saying it was not available. I called the store and asked if I could get the same item showing in-stock only different color. Wthout even checking I was told we dont have any of them. Then, my PayPal payment was not put back in my account. After 3 calls to the local store, 1 call to corporate, 1 email and 3 weeks later my money was refunded.

Lots of variety! Good selection of fabric, yarn, painting, jewelry making,home decorating and more. But make sure item you want is on sale or that you have a really good coupon. Original price is a little pricey. Good thing they awesome sales on going!!

I live in mt. Pleasant, Iowa. 20 miles from Burlington Iowa, where Joanns is located. I will never go there again! I seldom leave the store with all of my purchases! Come on people, double check yourselves!!! Again today, bought 2 threads with my material and only one in the bag when I got home. It was $3.99 but doesn’t matter. I paid for it and should have been in my sack. The last time I was there I bought 7 and 1/2 yards of black flannel to make a blanket and was given 6 and 1/2 yards. This has happened a lot so I had her cut 3 strips of 2and 1/2 yards so this would not happen again. I ask a sales person today to not engage the cutter in conversation about their dead batteries so she could concentrate on the yards of material. I know, this is my fault for going there but we don’t have a fabric store.

My store is a small store, but I can almost find exactly what Im looking for on every visit. Good news is...I can always find suitable alternatives if I have to with out going somewhere else.Staff is ALWAYS very friendly and helpful.

I never get to the one in Iowa but now I remember why. Very dirty disorganized and cant find anything. Not enough help and floors were filthy. Wont make a special trip there again very soon. Guess managers dont care to clean up store. Very disappointed.

Cant remember the young girls name that helped me, but she was very nice and helpful. I went in looking for some headliner fabric for an old car that I just got. Not only was she helpful in showing me where it was at, she also told me about the Joann app so I could download it and save 40%.

Much cleaner + nicer than the Quincy IL store. Has a larger yarn section too. I wish I got up here more often.

They have a large variety of very specific things which is nice. Unless youre looking for something else. And their prices (even clearance) seemed a little steep.

Always clean and orderly fabric area, but way overpriced for beading items.

Please teach your employees how to cut fabric! They don’t pay attention when they are cutting it because they are too busy talking and laughing. I literally lose six inches of fleece trying to square up their jagged uneven cutting. If the edge is uneven to start with they just flip the bolt over so they don’t see it. Allow for this when you cut it! It is like this no matter who is working. This is the worst Joann’s I’ve shopped at.

Found everything I was looking for and the ladies working were helpful. Id only get fabric here, because everything else can be found elsewhere for cheaper. Even with a 40% off sale, I still bought items at Walmart for less money tha JoAnns sale prices.

Good choice of yarn, but no one there to help me with questions about the pattern, the amount needed, etc. They were pleasant, but with all that yarn you would think they would have someone on staff with knowledge of crocheting.

I love going to Joann Fabrics, everyone is great and the selection of items that you really need or just really want is astounding. One of my favorite places to shop.

Daytime employees are a lot nicer than the evening employees. Store doesnt have a very good selection of paper craft items but has a lot of fabric. They will accept coupons from the mobile app, website, mailer, and text. Also they accept the weekly coupon from Hobby Lobby.

They do not offer picture framing, as stated. The aisles are so small that you can barely walk around the store. The last visit, the employees laughed as they told me they could only take cash. No credit or debit card. Three employees, standing around laughing and joking. This store is a big disappointment.
