I went to wires because other businesses were not accepting appointments, as busy as they were and wires does walk-ins. I dropped off my computer, received a ticket to track updates on the device, the communication was great! I received email updates when parts were ordered, when they arrived, and my device was fixed in no time and it’s running great!The staff were professional, efficient and kind and repair costs were quite reasonable. This place seems like a hidden gem. I’ll be back soon!

Everyone who works here is super sweet and friendly. I genuinely appreciated their patience and willingness to try to help my broken iphone. They replaced some parts they thought would fix it and I paid 65$. As soon as I got home, the phone was having the same problem (turning off and on, apps not working etc). I went back and they looked again and said theres nothing more they can do. I do appreciate the work they put into checking my phone, however, I wish they had been able to diagnose the deeper issue they cant fix on the first visit. I also was refunded only 40$ of the 65$ I paid, which I wish was known or communicated more publicly (the refunding policy).

I brought my ps4 in for repair because he had been overheating, it took them a few days, but the console is working better than ever. They have good quality and are efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Great service. Very clear on their services and pricing, all documented well on their website. They had to order my part, but had regular notifications on status. They were able to replace phone screen in under an hour once the part came in and I dropped phone off. They also were helpful to get me addition more detailed invoice to help deal with a warranty refund with SquareTrade.

I was having issues with my phone. After calling everyone on town, wires was the only place that was professional, listened to what I needed and assured me they could help. So I stopped by. Great experience getting an iPhone screen replacement.

My e-bike battery failed. I diagnosed the problem as an open circuit in the negative discharge connector but didnt have the tools and supplies to do a proper repair.I brought the battery in a disassembled state. Matt turned it around in about an hour at a very reasonable cost. Bike works perfectly now.

Everyone was really nice and I felt like my device would be safe, but I was so, so wrong. I had a bad repair job done in Boston, and while in Vermont, my phones screen came off and was hanging by the ribbon cable. I brought it here hoping that they would just do me a favor and put adhesive on for free, or $5 or something. They told me it would be $30. I thought that was fine, as long as everything was going to come together. And it did, or so I thought. In the weeks after the repair, my device started to show purple splotches through the screen - almost certainly adhesive. These splotches soon rapidly expanded to cover almost the entire screen in purple, it got darker, and then finally, it turned the entire screen black. I now dont have a phone. Im sure that they may be fine at repairing iPhones and other more common devices, but DO NOT bring a OnePlus or other less common phone in...

They are always so helpful and exceed my expectations! My husband brought in his phone for something software related, and when we got the phone back they even replaced the cracked screen! They say a time when they can estimate being finished with the order, and are never late.

I needed some help with my gaming computer charging port and also getting my video camera to work... long story short, it took 29 days to get my computer back... and I had to call the manufacturer to get the parts sourced as they had tried to source the part everywhere but there (which I found a little shocking). Some things came up during the process, and when I tried to reach out to the tech working on it via phone call... he was never in and when I was so frustrated about the entire situation, I reached out to the owner, he wouldnt return my call or e-mails...The charging port is now fixed which is great and I am super grateful... but the video camera still does not work. When I picked up the computer, the guy said, the tech couldnt fix the camera, I dont know why. Which I found a bit frustrating since there was no explanation...In fairness, my situation turned out to be a bit more complicated than expected, and moving forward, I should just send it to the manufacturer for repair since its so proprietary, but I still found the process really frustrating hence my review rating. I would consider working with them again with something other then my gaming computer.

Very Expensive. I called to get my phone screen fixed and they quoted me around 350 for my Samsung. And that is just to replace the screen due to a few cracks! I gave it a 3 star instead of a 1 because the gentleman that answered the phone to help me was very polite and attentive and that deserves some credit. Im sure he doesnt make the prices he is just doing his job. But that price for a new screen is outrageous!

My recent experience with Wires Computing was one of the best examples of stalwart costumer service that Ive had in recent history, and in this I am not exaggerating in the slightest. I brought in my phone to replace a swollen battery. The owner was very transparent about parts availability (immediate on-hand, as well as more generally for my model of phone overall), estimated turnaround times both for parts delivery as well as for the repair itself, expected costs, and the risk that the back of the phone might need replacement too.While waiting for parts they emailed me the FedEx tracking number, adding another layer of visibility and transparency. Same day as the tracker reported delivery, they called me to coordinate dropping off the phone itself for repair. In the end, they were successfully able to replace the battery without also needing to replace the back of the phone, and the cost was exactly in line with the original estimate for that scenario.All in all, very good service, and props especially for transparency and communication.

I would highly recommend not coming here. I brought in a speaker that had a charging issue and they looked at it for 10 minutes. They put a little bit of glue on on it and charged me $20 despite the issue not being fixed whatsoever. The front desk guy was very nice but that does not excuse utterly ripping off customers. If 10 cents of material and 10 minutes of their time is worth $20 I expect to have my device fixed. I left feeling extremely exploited and will never come to this store again.

I had not been doing the updates on my iphone. It got to the point where my phone was not working properly and I could not do the updates. I called them yesterday and they offered some ideas that I could do on my own. Not being tech-savy, I just brought the phone in today. They gave me a quote of about $65 and said it would take a few hours and they might need it overnight. I said fine and left the phone with them. I got an email 2 hours later saying that my phone was ready. The charge was$45. I told them to make it $55. Obviously, I am very happy. I realize that coming in under the estimate is probably a bit unusual but even with the original estimate of $65 it would have been worth it.My wife went to them a couple of years ago with a problem with her ipad.She also had a very good experience.

Excellent customer service! I was recommended to get my iPhone battery replaced here. I called ahead to get some information before heading over. They were closing soon but told me it was not problem to swing over. My battery was replaced in less than the quoted time. I inquired about my cables not charging my phone and they offered me not only advice on why that is occurring, but also gave me a discounted price on a new cable with a car charger. They only had the packages in stock and since I didnt need the car charger he offered to adjust the rate.The only trouble was that the business was a little difficult to find since its tucked in the backside of a building.Overall very pleased with my service and would highly recommend!

Today I brought in my slightly bent iPhone to be unbent. While they could not completely fix it, they brought it back and told me exactly why they could not unbend it completely (too close to SIM card). The service was lightning fast and I paid a quarter of the cost I was expecting. These people know what they are doing and I will totally come to them with any other phone/computer problems that might arise in the future.

Fixes (especially) mail-in takes a min 10 days for any actual progress to report (this excludes shipping days). They advertise and sound on call that the fixes especially micro-soldering is their forte.I was told that an IPAD charging dock replacement which was my service request here was a walk-in same day replacement and they do hundreds of them. weekly. But when you ship them, another guy arrogantly comes back with all these conditions and if you say you dont need it, theyll charge you 49$ diagnosis fee, and the diagnosis is what i had already listed in my original request for the repair. BTW this diagnosis is a free of charge in any nearby repair stores (like iFix).When they finally get to it, theres the part ordering time, wait time, fix time and after all if youre lucky itll be fixed. what happened to the same day fix quote??, In my case they reported my IPAD Pro motherboard was short circuited and it was scrap and theyll offer me 40$ cash to take the IPAD away from my hands. i guess they can sell it more for parts, who knows. i had to pay a~70$ diagnosis fees finally to get my IPAD Pro back (they call it Level 2 diagnosis)Anyways at this time, i cannot confirm if the short circuit happened because of their poor workmanship but I strongly believe it is as the IPAD shutdown after the battery completely drained out, so wondering how would it short circuit if no charge left and cant charge it. I personally wouldnt recommend this company, and suggest take it directly to Apple, its the same cost and even if it is more, every extra $ you pay is worth it. They are not apple certified, so if they open your device then Apple will not accept it for any further repairs.Responding to the owners update: As a customer and an IPAD Pro owner i would not ship it to somebody if i wasn’t so convinced on what was told to me; and my ratings now reflects the confidence i have for any future dealings with this repair vendor based on my experience. Also, like to correct on the term Non-Working used here. It was drained off charge and would not Turn ON until a working charging was provided. The original apple provided lightning cable broke with half of the piece still inside (not any aftermarket) and so could not be charged. And this is the reason why i strongly feel how the short circuit story doesn’t add up. Anyways, i also misread past ratings, should have paid attention to what kind of fixes earned higher ratings.Also, the harsh language reference by the owner in their response, is for my communication requesting Wires Computing to provide their short circuit story (communicated over phone with the 40$ Cash offer) in writing and me asking for a warranty support if it ever proves that the short circuit happened due to poor workmanship and their wrong doing, then Wires Computing should be accountable for the expenses to fix -and if not then i need no warranty. It is a very genuine and fair request that would come from any apple owners knowing how much we paid for these. They never provided anything in writing on what was communicated and never accepted the warranty requested, which forced me to give this rating. Why would they not agree if they’re not at fault here?Hope future IPAD or mobile owners like me finds this review and inputs helpful. P.S. this is my personal rating and I cannot provide a rating or talk for all the services that WireComputing offers but only provide my rating based on my experience i had for a service that i paid for. Took in my incredibly beat up laptop with a disconnected power jack. They ordered the part, installed it, and I picked it up all in 4 days. I was worried the laptop wouldnt survive the procedure being so damaged but they were deft and everything works like it should.They kept me updated the whole time and were prompt, professional, and efficient.

Ive had my iPhone repaired here 3 times and also had my water damaged macbook repaired back to perfect condition. I have never written a bad review in my life but my experience with the owner Jordan was incredibly frustrating.Brought my laptop in three separate times. After almost a month of back and forth and $520 worth of repairs computer dies, bring it in, they have it over a week find it out on Monday its beyond repair, I ask for a refund ASAP and explain I have been patiently waiting during the entire repair process and that it was already quite frustrating to be without a laptop for weeks since I need one for work, Jordan explains that is not his problem how long repairs are and that I should of sourced another laptop while mine was getting repaired. Ok, so I should of purchased another laptop while mine is getting fixed, that is helpful.The day they find out my laptop is beyond repair another employee whom I saw outside the shop explains he tried to get Jordan to address the refund and get back to me but Jordan decides to put it off for another five days and than refunds me $350, so essentially paid $170 for the laptop to fail after a few days. Not once did he apologize for my inconvenience, quite the opposite almost passive aggressive complaining that he is understaffed and has 40 repairs, I am sorry but that is not what a customer wants to hear after spending $520 and almost a month of back and forth on trying to resolve an issue. The day he found out it was beyond repair he should be reaching out to customer to get this resolved but chose to drag it out another five days after a month of back and forth before reaching out to customer with a resolution.Business owner lesson: Be more empathetic towards customers needs less complaining on how busy and understaffed you are.

Small Dog Electronics wouldn’t fix my iPhone battery because Apple’s battery policy stating my battery was operating “at peak performance,” although I was experiencing so many problems stemming from a battery malfunction. Instead of dealing with their strict policy that left Small Dog kind of out of options for me, I went straight to Wires and they had it fixed in 20 minutes and explained to me my battery was incredibly warped. Super fast, affordable, and really nice people working there.

We are in the same industry as Wires Computing and can attest to the fact that the techs there are seriously excellent at what they do! Its hard to find a repair shop with true expertise in both computer software repair AND phone hardware repair but Wires Computing legitimately exercises mastery over both. Dont even consider going to another shop until youve had a chance to let Wires Computing diagnose your computer, phone or other electronic device issue.

Very bad service. I left my laptop there to get the charging port changed and when I got it back it worked for two days and stopped working again (probably didnt even changed it).I went to get it fixed again and they said without taking a look at it that it was a motherboard issue. They didnt wanted to give it back to me because it was useless. I insisted that I wanted it back and they gave it without the cover in place.Weeks later, I went to another shop and their repaired easily.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Wires Computing. I took in my daughters cell phone with a broken screen. They took it and told me it would take 3-4 days for the repair and that I would receive email updates to let me know. I did receive one email when the screen arrived, but then, radio silence. I called several times, and left messages but got no response. After two weeks (!!) I was able to speak to some there who told me the screen didnt fit and they would not be able to repair it. I said I would come pick it up, but was told They would call me when it was ready. Apparently, they had to pull the back off of the phone to find out if the screen would fit?After waiting another two days for them to call me, I went in to the stare and asked for my phone. They returned it to me with the back still off.The kicker? They had the gall to charge me $25 for diagnostic work because apparently, they didnt check the model number before ordering the screen.Completely unprofessional, poor communication, and bad customer service. Will not ever return and recommend you dont either.

These folks are amazing - incredibly knowledgeable and great costumer service. I brought in a 2012 Mac Book Pro which was limping along for quite some time and finally just about crashed. They recommended an upgraded hard drive - I now have a 1 terabyte hard drive and a Mac Book that runs better than when I first bought it. I was on the verge of dropping $1400 to replace what I thought was a dinosaur - instead I spent less than $400 and could not be happier. Terrible service. I brought a computer in to be fixed. They told me they fixed it and charged me for it. When I got home I found they did not actually fix the issue. When I brought it back, they once again did nothing to fix it and charged me again, this time a diagnostic fee, basically charging me another $50 to tell me my computer was broken. This business has really gone downhill recently. Other electronics stores in the area provide cheaper and quicker services that actually fix the problem rather than giving you back your broken electronics and charging you more than the price of a single fix.

Price for a simple screen replacement is above market average ($160 compared to $90); unfortunately they were the only ones to carry a screen for my phone. Also, they put a repair sticker on the back of my phone that needed GooGone to remove.

I had a good experience with these people. Im getting my Sony Xperia XZ1 repaired by them and I was quite happy to learn that it would cost less than I thought. I might have been less even if it wasnt for the way that Sony builds their phones. Looking forward to having this awesome phone back in operation! My Samsung Galaxy S7 took a nose dive to the pavement and needed a screen replacement. The glass needed to be ordered and a deposit made for that since it was not a cheap replacement. The screen was in within a day or 2 and the repair was an hour. The phone is like new again. Great place to take your phone if it needs help!

Came in a while back with a Samsung Galaxy S7 to replace its badly burnt-in OLED panel. A few days later, it was fixed and looked like I just took it out of the box. Overall, it still works great and I am extremely happy with how it came back. It didn’t even have a single fingerprint on it.But, when I came in with my personal iPhone 6S Plus for a battery replacement, I only had to wait about nearly half an hour. That’s incredible compared to other places, especially for the price! A couple years before when I had went to go get my battery replaced at Small Dog Electronics, an APPLE CERTIFIED repair shop, it took them nearly 2 weeks to even get started on the repair. Albeit they probably had to order the parts directly from Apple and such, they should at LEAST have some parts on hand, especially for new devices at the time. Oh, and they charged me nearly triple compared to here.Though, it wasn’t all perfect. My phone apparently had a dent in the side which wouldn’t let the adhesive properly attach the screen to the body which was quite annoying. But, this was more of a problem on my side than anything. Though, one thing I’m upset about is that the screws on the bottom of my phone weren’t tightened enough and the left one had even fallen out by the time I had gotten home. I had luckily tightened the right one once I got home, but it’s a little annoying now that I have this hole in the bottom of my phone.Either than that, I’ve had an excellent experience with them so far and my new battery works perfectly. Will certainly be coming back here for future repairs.

Wires Computing is a good solution for fixing both Apple and Andriod products. My Google Pixel phone was serviced for a bad battery but unfortunately they ran into complications with the repair. They were very up front and had great communication about the entire process. They even went the extra mile of overnighting a new screen to complete the service quicker in addition to giving me a loaner phone until the service was complete. The reason for 4 stars and as others have mentioned in other posts I felt that an employee (who I can only assume is the owner) seemed very pushy (boarder line rude) in his attitude towards me when I was hesitant on giving out my phone password (apparently it is needed to test the full function of a new screen). Only when he threatened me that we was going to charge me with two separate fixes if the battery install didnt go well did I decide to comply. There should be better understanding on his part on why people would feel this way. I understand the situation, but scare tactics and general rudeness isnt good for customer service. After the minor confrontation I left with the feeling that he wasnt going to do everything he could so save my original screen and still charge me extra for a new one. Not saying this is what did happen, just felt that way.Still I would go back, its a good business with lots of experience. Thanks for your help!

Super fast iPhone fix! They told me it would be around 15 minutes to fix the cracked screen on my iPhone 6 and it was closer to 10, if that. The only thing I did notice was a very slight change in the feel of my phone and the colors were marginally duller, which Im fine with. Definitely would recommend.

I brought my ailing laptop in and they diagnosed it quickly. They let me know when the part had arrived, and kept the machine about a day and a half. The communication was clear and timely. The price seemed fair. Other nice things about them: - every time Ive called, a real human has answered the phone. And they are convenient to downtown, and have parking. This will be my place for laptop repair.

Shattered my iphone 6s screen and the screen was literally not usable at all with those awful lines running through the screen and no touch response so I took it to these guys to get it fixed and I was in and out in 15 minutes. I got it done about a week ago and everything works perfectly and it feels like I have a new phone. These guys are legit. It was worth every penny and much cheaper than getting a new phone entirely. While I was there, they were sure to explain in full what would need to be done to other customers equipment, how long it would take, and even took the time to explain the literal properties of the tech and what repairs entail to a degree past what the average person would even know (thats a good thing). I was devastated that my brand new phone from Amazon broke 3 days after owning it. I didnt want to send it back to the place I got it from and wait awhile and pay or shipping so I searched for phone repair in Burlington and found Wires Computing. I am SO glad I did. The customer service was impressive, I didnt wait at all, my phone was fixed right in front of me in less than 5 minutes. Everything I wanted to know was explained and answered and the price was the same as if I had shipped it out...so it was actually cheaper because I didnt have to pay for shipping. I have an iPhone 6 that experienced a back light failure. I visited three highly rated iPhone repair sops within my community and while they all reached the same conclusion, none of them offered any acceptable solutions. The recommended solutions include: sell it for parts, trade it in to us and buy one of our re-conditioned phones, etc. Fortunately, I never accepted their hopeless solutions. I found Wires Computing after refining my Google search and after submitting an initial request for quote was assured that they could correct the problem. I then created a ticket, boxed up my iPhone, included the required information. Within two days of mailing by iPhone, the Wires team: alerted me that the home had been received and that they would have it repaired within a day or two. They exceed my expectations by having it ready within a day and after making my payment online, they mailed it back to me that day. I received it yesterday (only two days after they had mailed. It arrived encased in a secure wrapper to ensure a safe trip home. I am 100% satisfied by the level of service and quality of work and recommend Wires Computing 100%. Thank you.

Got help installing a new hard drive into a macbook as well as iPhone repair - solid work, done efficiently. Bought a used iPhone which had some issues but Jordan the owner stood behind the product until it was working as expected. Would recommend for phone repair, computer repair, etc.

I spilled tea on my laptop during a trip to Burlington, which disabled my keyboard. When I took it in, I was clearly informed about the damage possibilities and the part was ordered as I stood there. It took a few days to arrive, but then it was repaired asap. I liked the extent of electronic notification that is integrated into his business. The man knows his stuff! I wouldnt hesitate to use this service again if I lived in town!

I highly recommend Wires Computing. They recently replaced the battery and camera on my iPhone 5c, and also fixed the home button. They were professional, friendly, and efficient, with high quality service that was quite reasonably priced.

This place is awesome. I took my 1-year old laptop back to Best Buy because the touch screen had stopped working and they were going to charge me a fortune to *maybe* figure out what was wrong with it. I was like- no thanks. I brought the computer here and they diagnosed the problem for $45. and unfortunately it needed a new touch screen which was going to be expensive. I decided not to fix it since I have never liked this computer anyway and instead buy an external monitor and turn this laptop into a desk top. The morals of this story are: Dont buy a Lenova Yoga laptop with a touch screen- they suck. AND if your computer breaks- bring it to Wires bc they dont suck and they wont rip you off. Also, they took pity on me and never charged me the $45- though I dont think that is standard. They said they didnt actually do much to my computer before they realized it needed a new screen. Best Buy would have totally ripped me off (again- since they also sold me this crappy computer....) I highly recommend Wires. I would go back there.

Extremely professional staff with amazing knowledge. Went in for an IPhone 6 head jack repair and quickly discovered the issue was more severe than expected. Regardless, the staff informed me of all options to repair for an issue that is still plaguing the IPhone community without a fix. Although a repair could not be completed due to the nature of the issue, the staff used their expertise to trouble shoot the issue, and informed me of their attempts at repair every step of the way. Even without a solution to my problem, I am very impressed by the personable and quality customer service they have. Would recommend to anyone in the Burlington/NEK area for their services

Worst experience in this place they spent more than ten day and didn’t dual boot a system for me they charged me for $25 for no system in my laptop same as I brought it to them surprise!!! I don’t want to be rude， but for this service other people have similar experience will absolutely give one star.

My touchscreen laptop had a smashed screen from taking a fall, and Wires Computing fixed it perfectly- it looks and functions as if nothing ever happened. They did it much more quickly than other places in town, and at a price that was competitive. I would recommend them for damaged electronics.

These people are the greatest. I spilled water on my old laptop, and while they were ultimately unable to fix the laptop (It was already gone and there was nothing they could do) they worked so quickly for me, working on my laptop until closing time doing what they could. They did, however, save all of my files, which really saved me!Immediately afterward, they were able to transfer my files onto a rental laptop, where I can now work with them for my final projects this semester at school. They worked tirelessly to save me from a very bad situation, and not only that, they were very pleasant and nice people too! I highly recommend this business, five stars. These people are wonderful.

My Daughters cell phone USB jack failed when any charger was used, so I found two Companies locally that said they repaired cell phones and spoke with both on the phone. I chose Wires due to the knowledge he appeared to have and his professional manor. During the time I dropped off the phone I knew the repairman knew EXACTLY what was needed and what to do. He looked the replacement mother-board up and priced the replacement right then and there. His price was lower than I expected. The Wires repair shop is clean and organized. The part came in- he promptly called, I dropped off the phone and at the end of that same business day it was repaired- and he knew exactly how to re-activate the service, and recover every contact. Wow. (Teenage daughters who loose contact lists are probably very unpleasant- disaster averted) Thank you Wires Computing. I am a UVM graduate student working on a major research project. I had due dates approaching when my laptop developed a large crack on the screen after I checked my bag on a flight.
