Been wearing April for 30 years. Her store is a bit of a pilgrimage. She was sustainably resourcing before it was a thing. Fabrics are beautiful. This is a nice store and the basement bargains can be good.

I visited the April Cornell store in Asheville NC and absolutely loved it. Shopping there was a delight as the store is aesthetically inviting. All her items were thoughtfully selected and nicely displayed. I fell in love with most items and struggled to narrow my choices to just a few. April’s son was running the shop and was very nice and extremely helpful. I purchased a table cloth and tea towels with the Beautiful Blooms pattern for a friend’s new home. I loved them so much I purchase additional pieces from this collection for myself later online. The quality of the fabric and April’s own print was excellent. I live in a world area with a PO Box and after I placed my online order and service team member called me to confirm my mailing instructions. She was professional and the service I received was excellent.

Its always a pleasure to shop at April Cornell! Beautiful fabrics, clothing, hats, linens, and gifts in a very charming shop. Large cage of colorful birds, rainbow colored stairs, bargains downstairs, and new paintings of butterflies, cats and flowers on the outside walls make this a great place to browse, take photos and buy Aprils gorgeous creations!

Beautiful interior. Stunning items. Everything from linens to earings-shoes -clothes- nightgowns. Hard to park and trip hazard at entrance.

The basement outlet is still sort of pricey. The clothes are for plus sized women or stick figure women that just dont care if they look enormous. Some of the fabrics are just gorgeous, and then the blouse is tried on only to totally fail. The fits arent flattering at all. And so I purchased linens for thanksgiving and Christmas, which Ive also gotta say wasnt as much of a sale as they claimed, did not go upstairs...stayed in the basement sale room...

My mom and I went to the April Cornell store. She was very happy she found dresses that fit and as a dog I was very happy I got a biscuit or two or maybe three. ; )The manager Namgyal was very nice and has a fun sense of humor. My mom said that the ladies in the shop were all very sweet and kind.As for me, I’m looking forward to more biscuits and maybe April will design something with me in mind. Happy Dog!Wakko Dog

I just love everything at this store! A tad on the expensive side. The liquidation section of the store is great for nice clothes at reasonable prices. Great quality items.

I went in not knowing what to except. I understand all the pieces are a little out of my price range. But they had some great deals in the basement. I grabbed a shirt for 15 dollars and had nothing but compliments when wearing it. I liked the birds singing upstairs. Although I enjoyed my experience this place is tailored for a specific type of woman and I dont necessary feel like I fit in very well.

Great experience shopping at April Cornell. I just came to VT for a few weeks this summer and came upon the summer Attic sale. Perfect time to shop. Lots of fun merchandise.Sangita helped me with several dresses. The shop has sizes from xs to W2 and they also have a very close eye on inventory so they can see what is in the warehouse. I ended up with one dress and as I was leaving spotted another in the upstairs which would be perfect for a 95th b-day luncheon. Sangita found the very last one in my size. She knew the exact dress I was talking about just from my description and it too was on sale. It was a little over $100 but it is perfect for the occasion and something that will last a very long time. So if a dress lasts five or more years and you enjoy wearing it $100 is a bargain.Can’t imagine locals do not know about the GREAT sales at April Cornell’s store where items were 50% off and more. I found one dress with ruffles that was $20. I would call that a GREAT price for a dress which was originally over $125.I also drove back 2 days later and picked up some houseware items that I had hesitated about but realized the colors were perfect for my bedroom. I am going use a floral tablecloth on top of my solid color comforter for extra color and make pillowcases from the same patterned square tablecloth.From tea towels to tablecloths with paisley and bold flowers and lots of neat gifts...I had a wonderful time and so did my dog as Sangita was very sweet to him and ran upstairs while pulling dresses to get him a treat. There ought to be more Sangita’s everywhere. She is amazing, very kind and excellent at selling a product that she obviously enjoys.
