Went there today to get formica counter cut. The guy who helped me was very nice and also explained how to attach the top to the cabinet. Very helpful, would definitely use this company again.

Thank you guys for making our Holidays complete, we love our new counter tops. The work was very professional, they removed and hauled away old counter tops and no clean up afterwards, cant get no better than that. The price was good and got them back and installed within maybe a couple of weeks from start to finish maybe a little sooner. Truck drivers worse place for delivery

Tom was wonderful! I liked that I got to deal with the owner and not a bunch of middle men, He was very courteous, helped me figure out what I wanted. I did kitchen countertops with full backsplash and it looks beautiful! When my 5 year old started asking questions, they even took the time to stop and answer them without being impatient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Not really happy with product was told “seamless” edging and kinda looks cheap the way it looks. Also during installation another hole had to be cut and never cleaned anything up? There was saw dust every where was wanting more of a professional installation. Lesson learned.

Support local business! So much better quality and service than the big box stores.

First of all let me start by saying I can’t believe what it takes to get anyone to return a call or come out and give an estimate. I live in the city of flint and it seems like no one wants my business. I called the lowes but they wanted me to come in or they would come out but it cost 75 dollars. Thank the good Lord my sister called and reminded me about the formica shop on pasadena I guess they moved but she was right they were there for at least 20 years. We found them and they came out and gave me an estimate to replace my kitchen top plus the cabinet and top in my bathroom. It was more than I wanted to spend so I had to save some a little longer by the time I was ready I had them come back out and wouldn’t you know it the price went up some but when I explained that I waited so I could use them he gave it to me at the old price. The job looks wonderful so I guess if you want some work of this sort done you better call the formica shop because no one else will come out.

Very satisfied. We hired Spielmakers Kitchen & Bath to do a kitchen top for us. It did not start out well at all. We were scheduled to have our tops installed on a Friday, but we got a call that morning from the owner Tom Spielmaker informing us the job would be postponed due to vehicle problems. I was not happy! I had gotten my kitchen ready. I loosened my old top, had the plumbing undone, and scheduled around them being here. It’s a good thing I hadn’t taken it out yet because we did not get our tops installed until the following Wednesday!!To Mr. Spielmakers credit he did keep in constant contact with me, he even called me on Saturday to update me for the coming week. I also received calls every morning to let me know it would not be that day. On the day of the job the crew came in and undid the sink and hauled out my old top and took it away which was my responsibility They told me it was the least they could do for the delay. The job went as planned and it looks great. They put in an undermount stainless sink which cost about $600 more, but my wife insisted on having it. I must admit it was worth the extra money. My wife picked the Wilson Art HD finish which we also love. Mr. Spielmaker was the actual installer on the job which was a nice change from other jobs we’ve had done where you deal with a sales person and then a sub contractor comes out and does the actual work. We’ve had jobs done that way and it always seems there is some miscommunication between the salesman and the installer and something has to be ordered, or is wrong in one way or another and the job ends up taking weeks to months.Overall my wife and I were very satisfied in the end and would recommend Spielmakers.

I’ve had four jobs done by Spielmaker’s. One at my house in Swartz Creek, one in Boyne City and two in Punta Gorda Florida. I’ve always been very satisfied with the quality of materials and workmanship, and the level of service. I’ve bought the cabinets and tops and installed them myself and when I didn’t have the time I hired them to install everything. The last job in Florida I had Tom and his brother Kirk come down and install all of the cabinets I purchased from them and some awesome countertops too. (see the posted pictures) I highly recommend them for cabinets and countertops

Unlike the person in Flint I called The Formica Shop and the guy who answered was busy and said he would call me back....I never heard back! I guess every review cant be good.
