This Dollar general on Lapeer road is just you can walk down the aisles its very clean and well taken care Id go out of my way to drive there because they always have something in stock the one by my house on Genesee road never has anything on the shelves are always out of Stuff...

Horrible experience here with the female cashier. Attempted to buy a Money Pak Green Dot prepaid card with $120 transfered to it. When I left the store and tried activating my card it said invalid card # after the 3rd try I realized that, means the card was never scanned thru their system. Long story short the cashier loaded my money into a card and put a blank one into the plastic bag, essentially stealing $120 from me. When I returned the next day to confront her it was a big ordeal and took me a few more days to be reimbursed for the total amount. Ghetto as they come, avoid at all cost.

Love its location in neighborhood. Selection and prices are great. Only reason not a 5 is you arent always charged the correct price at checkout

This is my favorite dollar general around Flint. They always have a great clearance section. Everything is organized nicely and its not dirty. Staff had always been lovely and management seems to know what theyre doing. Kudos.

It is a convenience store

I live nearby so I always run to Dollar General when I need something quick. This store always has a good stock of what I need and the store is usually clean and tidy. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

Friendly service everytime we have gone in. Much cheaper prices in many things. You can use digital coupons for many items in the store that give you even more savings. Very clean store as well.

One young lady was working hard right before closing time Thursday July 25th trying to get things done. The other employee who was possibly the manager was nowhere to be found. When she did show up she asked did you need me? What? Do you see this line of course she needed YOU? The 5 star rating is for the young lady that answered questions of several shoppers, brought in the product in from outside, price checked unmarked items, went above and beyond to get each customer what they were looking for quickly. She called for help when everyone in the store got in line at the same time and after receiving no help (at first) went as quickly as possible ringing people up. All while maintaining a smile! Great customer service representative hopes someone looks at this and commends or promotes her!

They have what you need and theyre in a convenient location with a gigantic parking lot. Im a happy customer.

I hate their aisle set up especially the area as you approach the checkout area. I prefer Family Dollar for several other reasons.

Just left there customer service was poor. No one welcomed me nor tried to help me with finding what I was looking for. I asked the young lady if they carried a certain item she told me no. I go to the isle after searching for 5 mins and what do you know there it is. Then when she goes to ring me out she says nothing to me just stares like I am a mind reader. Never told me my total just stared. Then as I left did not thank me or tell me to have a good night, but began to start a conversation with the guy who was behind me. I will never return. She was very rude and lacks customer service.

There were huge carts full of stock sitting in the middles of the aisles, making it difficult to move about the store. There was only one clerk to ring up the huge line of customers, and no other employees in sight to help out at all. Dont know if I came at a bad time or what.
