Not the best course you can find in the area.. going under construction for more housing and leaving only 12 holes or permanently close.. regular player please vote

Horrible tee boxes and fairways, good greens and bunkers. If this is what it takes to keep the price down, then ok, Id rather they keep price low for new/not rich golfers than to jack up the price. Its a good optionJust know what youre getting into. Everyone drives right up to the greens, tee times are 7 min apart. I dont think any management is on the course on a weekly basis. The kids running the front are professional as is the young man who cleans the carts.Take a look at the photos for course conditions. The greens are most important and they do that well, but the teeboxes and fairways are worse than the grass at a regular childrens park

Nice and challenging course not bad value for the price can play a little slow at times Great place to go during the summer with a very very nice breeze.

Poorly maintained course. Tee boxes and fairways are just dirt and crab grass. Not one trash can throughout the course. Divot mix bottles on the carts were empty. Driving range nets are broken, they wont allow using a driver. Overall, save your money and go somewhere else

Its a nice local golf course that can be challenging from the tips. The course has made a decent come back since the rains. The owner was not watering the grass so it was hard pan and bare in numerous areas. The staff at the course are always helpful and accommodating. The range is average and they have replaced the mats with used mats that is a huge upgrade from their prior ones. The range balls are still pretty bad but better than the previous ones.

This was my wifes first time ever golfing so we thought it would be a great experience. The front counter guys were very nice and helped us with whatever we needed (they get 5 stars). We started on the back nine so we wouldnt get in anyones way while she learned. Not long after we started, the ranger started hounding us to play faster even though we werent holding anyone up. Ive golfed my whole life so I know when to let people play through. Each hole should take 14 minutes to play he said. So we continued. He hounded us again about carts leaving the path. So if your ball goes left, and the path is on the right, start walking. I live on this course and carts leave the paths all the time. After we were done, we drove the cart to the car to unload and guess who shows up?? Ranger. You cant take your cart in the parking lot. Ive seen 7 carts in the lot just on this day. Not going back, the course isnt nice for what you pay, and the ranger will find any way to tell you youre doing something wrong. I should have given the ranger clubs to play since he was with us the whole time.

Gave this course a few shots and I can finally say I wont be returning. Course isnt well kept. No matter what time you go it seems like your dealing with the sprinklers in the middle of the holes. The water is recycled sewage water so everytime a sprinkler is on it smells awful. Staff isnt all that helpful unless your a regular. I went cus it was convenient and close to home but I honestly think a little bit of an extra drive to another course would be far much more worth it as far as a better golf experience is concerned. I DO NOT recommend.

After wasting tens of thousands of dollars on country club memberships, I finally played here after living in Camarillo for 20 years. I was impressed with the layout. It has a little bit of a valley, hill, and links feel to it.I have no regrets playing here despite its lack of badge / status appeal. Its just a great course layout. I hope they keep improving.

Great staff. Good food. My rating addresses the golf course. It really has fallen off. It has had a tough road to be sure with the fires and floods a while back. However, do not intend to play from the back tees. This course has never maintained the back tees. The fairways are a combination of so many different types of grass and a hard compacted dirt base. Almost like playing golf on a baseball field similar to the Sandlot. It isnt the greenskeeping most likely, its just the same as every public track in the area..water and money. They do what they can to keep it in a playable state for the majority. I really enjoy the views here and it has the potential to be a great course, but the ownership has long ago decided this poor tracks fate. Really is a shame.

I really like Camarillo Springs. Ive played it for 25 years. The new management has made changes to the greens. They reduced the volume by about 25%. I didnt mind that at all. The greens are in good shape, Id give them a b+. The rest of the coarse gets a C- for now. They are working on it.

Played in the afternoon, got through the course rapidly and liked it so much I returned the next day... Day 1 the greens were kind of slow, but consistent green to green, faster on day 2. A very good value, esp when the pace of play is so speedy. Day 1 under 3 hours, day 2 under 3½.

Course layout is good water and sand traps add to the challenge. Grass to high in tee boxes and fairways are dry. Greens are in good condition. Price is reasonable for the conditions. With some improvements this could be a nice public course.

Hadnt played here in quite a while but enjoyed my time here today. Some conditioning issues but not anything that would keep me from returning. Greens actually rolled quite nicely, visited a couple bunkers and the sand was easy enuf to get out of. If i could give another half star i would and another full star if the condition issues get improved. Couldnt play all 18 today but Ill be back again to play em all.

A dog track. Dont waste your $57.00. Golf carts dirty. Golf course in poor condition. Lakes are dirty and brown. Signs from tee to tee are horrible. Driving range had 100 yr old mats/balls. Staff friendly. We love to travel and play golf. I rate this course a (1) at best. Was really disappointed.I like rustic old courses, but this thing is old and has no upkeep?Deleted from my GPS.Will never return...

My review is based on when I play. I go on the weekends and try to tee off around 3 PM or later. I also walk. It costs me $20 to play as many holes as I can. I can usually fit in at least 18, if not a few more because there isnt a lot of people there at that time.Yes, the course is in OK shape. The tee boxes are basically mowed down ruff and some fairways look like fairways while others are just mowed down ruff or dead grass, but the greens are in excellent shape, so I can live with OK tee boxes and fairways. For $20, this place is a steal to play a round of golf. I see people complaining about the cours shape, but if you want perfect conditions, go pay $80+ for a round of golf. All in all. I love me some Camarillo Springs and still try to make it once a weekend.

This place smells like sewage, fairways and tee boxes are nothing but uneven crab grass, greens are slow, and the bunkers are hard as rock. My cart died on the 14th hole and I walked in to ask for a refund for the cart, the manager asked if I wanted to grab another cart or come back for a discounted round. I refused both and told him that I would rather not play the course since it is in such horrible shape...he then got very offended and basically threw 10 dollars at me. Needless to say I will not be playing here again, nor do I recommend this place to any golfer.

Id called the Pro shop for a 8 am tee-time and asked if the course was in better shape from my last year play, where the fairways was pinched and muddy. The lady at the Pro Shop said yes, so I accepted the tee-time, that was a bad idea to play there... The course was in worse condition that day. The tee box was beaten to hell, and just about every lake was dry out with a fowl stench come it.Save your $47.00 and find another golf couse close by, because you will be very disappointed if you played there.
