Mr Softee was the soft serve ice cream I grew up with in New York City as a kid many years ago. I couldnt believe there was one in Camarillo, CA. Well it didnt disappoint. I got a large Chocolate cone with sprinkles. As far as I could remember it was like a time warp to the good old days. Great flavor and consistency. Highly recommend. Go there now, youll thank me later!

Kinda over priced for basic ice cream but it was pretty good. I wouldn’t return because I can just get the same thing at Dairy Queen for a better price.I got the banana boat forgot to take before pics. They were also out of cherry dip

What a great place for really good soft ice cream. I just heard about it from a friend and had to go. So many choices, even 3 or 4 different dips are available but I just did the traditional chocolate chip.

This place is a local staple- the prices are a bargain, and the staff is always willing to make just about any creation you can dream up...but the locals all know the fresh baked brownies are the real star. Be sure to ask if they have any when you stop by, they go great in any soft serve creation, or for the road!

What in the actual deliciousness?!?! My first time here and I understand why its a favorite place for people to go. The shop is fun, they have a few old school games. But the best is the soft serve! I had the cherry dipped cone...hands down the best!!!!!!!

The employees were spectacular, super positive and smily and incredibly fast to fulfill my order. The vanilla ice cream was just the right temperature and very creamy. The cone was the perfect texture and complimented the ice cream nicely. I got a basic vanilla cone and was surprised with the presentation and flavor. 10/10 would order again 👍👍

OMG. First visit. I used to eat this very same soft serve ice cream as a kid in NYC. It brought back so many good memories. It tasted just like when i was a kid. Cant wait to go visit again.

They have a really cool Fun House pinball machine and a real old school arcade you sit down and look at the screen on the top.

Fun, friendly staff. Good variety of flavors and options with daily specials. You can also stick around a bit and enjoy the vintage pinball or arcade cabinets. If you really fall in love with the place you can walk our with some Mr. Softee merch.

Whats not to love about ice cream! Always delicious and friendly service..ordered 2 small cones, chocolate with sprinkles and one vanilla/chocolate. Only $6..worth it. Street parking can be tricky..try to go before lunch/dinner rush for the nearby restaurants

Always a great experience here! The soft serve is the bomb! Staff is friendly and helpful. Today we visited and tried 2 new things, the Banana Boat and the Brownie sundae. Super YUM. Very generous with the toppings. Also really cool that you have a choice of macadamia nuts, peanuts, or almonds (on the sundae) tried it with macadamia nuts and it was delicious! Always a treat to come to the shop, usually just grab a rainbow sprinkle cone when the truck comes thru. Mister Softee you are amazing!

I really like Mister Softee! Its always a lot of fun there, and they have nice cones w/ sprinkles of course. The price definitely isnt the best, but its great for an occasional treat, and I do recommend$$

I love Mister Softee. We first found out about this place because my buddy was trying to find a place that made malts for a lady. Whilst looking he found Mister Softee and we decided to give them a try. I have to say there was no disappointment but exceeded expectations.Place is a little small but serves the purpose for an ice cream place as having a bigger place would not make sense. They have plenty of sitting areas.I ordered a sea salt caramel vanilla malt. Please make sure that you remind them to add the malt as it seems that this is not a common request. I have also tried their chocolate sea salt malt. Both of these have been delicious and have not disappointed. We are in this place all the time and we love it. Last time we were there, the owner was there and was preparing orders and also cleaning tables. Please visit Mister Softee and try their malts or any ice cream for that.Please note that prices are high for ice cream but they are high wherever you go. This definitely doesn’t excuse the prices as I believe they are way over priced. Two malts will cost you $13.00. MISTER SOFTEE YAAAY! MISTER SOFTEE comes every Sunday to our Andorra Apartment complex and parks just outside the leasing office! Their ice cream is super affordable and my wife always gets the amazing cherry drip on a cone or the rainbow sprinkles and the (service is fast) Butterscotch! I am proudly addicted to the chocolate and vanilla cartwheels! We love this Sunday night treat! We love Mister Softee!

I sent here to claim my free birthday item. There were plenty of friendly staff to help and serve me.I was presently surprised when I ordered a simple cone and the young lady taking my order asked are you sure, thats all you want? You get anything on the menu for your birthday Then she took extra time to help me decide (I can be really indecisive) what else I could consider. She never made me feel rushed and answered all my questions about the different items to choose from.And, yes it was deliciousHighly recommend them for a sweet experience

Staff was very friendly and the ice cream was bomb! My go to is always the black cat but be sure to try other stuff from their menu. They always put it in a container which really helps with the kids not making to much of a mess. You can rent ( ice cream truck) them for your event.

Old fashion ice cream. Soo good

I usually wait for the Mister Softee truck to come to my neighborhood but I wanted to walk through old towne with my family. We stopped at the store and there were at least 4 groups of people with my family 2nd in line and then later a mobile or online order (not sure really what it was.) After ordering we stood on the wall while everyone in the first got their stuff and then everyone who ordered after and the outside order got their stuff. At first I thought it was because one of my kids order a brownie sundae or something like that but they called out for a brownie sundae and gave it to the group behind us. I was very upset with the service on this day but everything Ive ever tried was really good so I think Ill stick with waiting for the truck and then if I want to go walking around old towne Ill drive over.

Absolutely delicious and different! They are soo helpful if you havent been there before. They gave us samples to try and I fell i love with the Saffron rosewater.Omggggg! Cant wait to go back!

Unpopular opinion but I dislike their ice cream. Bland and heavy for soft serve.

Their ice cream never fails to impress or hit the spot. Sure its a bit more pricey than what you get in a box or store but their hand crafted unique ice cream is always delicious! Wonderful for summer. Look for their ice cream truck too

We used to love when the Mister Softer truck came around when we were kids. It was always a treat. Well, it still is. It was a treat down memory lane. I had a chocolate cone and it was as good as it was when I was a kid. Fast friendly service in a sparkling clean environment.

The staff is young but always very friendly and Ive come here enough to the point where they know our entire families regular order and start putting it in as soon as we get to the register. Mister Softee is located on Ventura Boulevard very close to the farmers market. They have sort of the Retro Vibe going on. The Villa Restaurant is clean as a pin with good 50s music. Ice cream cones are vanilla or vanilla chocolate or chocolate with the traditional dip. They also serve hot dogs with all the condiments that you could want. The prices are good and the atmosphere is fun for a quick stop for a snack or for a quick lunch. This is a great place for kids.

They have good stuff.. but when u go ask the driver to go down the next street and we will be out waiting and they go the other way instead.. totally wrong.. will stick with 31 flavors.

I live for their vanilla ice cream with chocolate sprinkles. definitely has an ultimate kiddos birthday vibe. 9/10

So great to have a storefront for Mister Softee in Camarillo.It was great having a truck in the area, but knowing Mister Softee is available most days at the storefront is excellent.They offer classic favorites and typically also have some new special.... todays was an ice cream sandwich made with a donut from Rolling Pin.... Really good ice cream. Look for coupons because it could get a little pricey but well worth it. So much to choose from. They also had food here to. At my job for once we had the truck come out and everybody loved it. A must try for ice cream lovers.

We tried this shop because we were in the mood for some ice cream. We were very happy with our choice, the Chocolate Lovers which was chocolate ice cream, dipped in chocolate, and rolled in Oreo cookies. We will definitely be back.

The truck has been on my block once, and that was months ago. On occasion, I hear the familiar music from the truck somewhere nearby. I walk all over this area, trying to intercept the truck, but am always disappointed. Mr. Softee WAS a great memory when I was a kid, but can never enjoy those nostalgic memories now, because youre never around!

This is the best Icecream place ever! I had it at my school and there was an hour wait! I definitely recommend it.
