Community phone offered me a friendly neighborhood phone company equivalent when no other utility was available in my area. The representatives are honest and concise. What they advertise is what you get. No extra plans or fees. The quality is clear and an equal trade off from traditional landline service. The wireless base unit even works during power outages on battery backup; however the battery backup is short lived.Overall excellent U.S based service!

If you need to port over your landline and your provider wont do it for you, then you need this company. It was a smooth transition and my mom now gets to keep her phone number that she has had for over 30 years. Had to move her to an assisted living and being without a phone to all her friends was a BIG concern for me. Thanks Community Phone!

Phone base came quickly. Easily assembled. Not sure about the voice sound though. Very hard to hear on my first call. Ill wait to see what that is about. Already charged me. ? I havent used this enough to make much comments, but I do know its not strong enough for me send a fax.

Stay far far away from these guys. After several years as a high touch customer service cell plan reseller, these guys have turned the business into something altogether different and have no ability to serve existing customers. I’ll spare you the worst, but after weeks of just trying to change plans, I finally got a new SIM card, activated it, and 36 layers still have no service, no explanation, and no estimate of when it will be fixed. Were it not for one fairly friendly attentive customer support guy, I’d’ve bailed weeks ago. Now I wish I had, because it’s now Sunday, and I’ll be boarding a flight tomorrow with no cell phone service.
The phone was picked up very fast, had great people skill and very patience. It was an excellent service and very helpful. Definitely recommendable to other people.

Very pleased with this phone service. Replaced my verizon landline phone with the Community phone and it was an easy transition. Did have to call customer service because after the transfer of my number I could not get incoming calls, but it was fixed. Customer service reps were very knowledgeable and friendly. My only one complaint was the wait time on the line before the call was answered. That does need improvement. Would still recommend. $34. monthly instead of $78. with Verizon, plus I can actually hear on the line and with the Verizon line it was nothing but noise and static no matter how many service calls I placed.
My Dad LOVES this phone service! He had the same phone number with numerous providers for the last FIFTY-FIVE YEARS! Over the last 3 years, hed get the same annoying spam calls numerous times each day and it got to be too much. And his last provider of TV, Phone, & Internet became HORRIBLE! So now he has this Plug&Play phone number which is TERRIFIC, and dozens of over-the-air TV channels and he could not be happier!Thank you for a great service from ordering, thru delivery & setup!***** (Five Stars!)
I got this phone today. We got it for my mom. Her husband passed away a few weeks ago from Covid. She struggled with a cell phone. It literally took less than 15 minutes. Now my mom is using her handset phone that she has for years. I now need to teach her voicemail. Today a problem was solved.

I was s bit sceptical about it at first but after using it for a while I now feel like its as good as the actual landline, landline I grew up with. Good old Ma Bell . I never thought the phone I knew would become extinct during my life time but to no avail it has. I am grateful for the Community Phone service. I live in a gated community that restricted us to one service provider with limited service. As a workaround, I was able to complement my new cable and internet service with Community Phone. Community Phone is an inexpensive option for a landline phone with full service. Community Phone is a high value provider. The community had us in a vice where there were no alternatives, but Community Phone company penetrated when no other providers could. As consumer we expect good service for our money, not less for more. Community Phone has definitely delivered.
We received the phone yesterday and made a few calls. So far, so good.We had to cut expenses because my brother has cancer and even with good insurance, it can become costly. He is unable to use a cell phone. Occasionally I have to leave him alone while I run errands. I do not want him alone with no way to call someone if necessary. The landline option from Community Phone seems like the perfect solution!

I have had an absolutely wonderful experience with Community Phone. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical over a year ago when I signed up, but the team made my transition simple. Colin in particular was wonderful. He orchestrated the move and was readily available and always pleasant.I’ve been with the Community for over a year now and have had perfect service. I have two phones on their service, both with unlimited data and am saving about $70 per month compared to what I was paying.I recently lost my phone at an airport and called Community. They offered to send me a loaner phone in the mail until I was able to get my old phone returned to me or bought a new one. Who does that! Amazing service!I love this company and am thrilled to have made the switch. They get my top rating.

Very professional and experienced staff - a pleasure to deal with. Our incoming calls did not work at first - a msg. was sent to the tech. team after 4 p.m. and it was fixed overnight!!!The savings is substantial, especially since we came from Verizon.

Why pay the largest carriers more than $100 monthly when you can save at least $50 monthly for a service experience that is better? There is more to it than costs. Customer service should include an actual person speaking with you and that is what you get with Community Phone - try talking to the large carriers and you get to speak with a computer instead. There are no service issues either. With Community Phone I get great service, outstanding coverage and a fair price. What else is important?
Im being charged for service I have yet to receive. No one has been able to explain to me how to get my parents number active since it is not currently active. Im being ping ponged from person to person, at times via text, at times email. Very frustrating.
I’ve had the pleasure of regularly visiting Community Phone over the course of my time here in Boston. I found myself familiar with them before ever having entered into their brick-and-mortar location in Harvard Square. If anything can be said: they live up to their name! I first had the pleasure of attending a BBQ hosted by the company, where I was able to meet many clients (all different ages) and getting to know the individuals who work hard to add value to the Cambridge community (I would be surprised if you didn’t see their free-lemonade stand in Harvard Square in the summers). Equally refreshing, is knowing that there is a company that’s willing to foster the values of their namesake in conjunction with business. Every time I entered their store, I was greeted immediately by a familiar, smiling face and offered something to drink. I really look forward to seeing where they take things next in lieu of everything, and hope many other businesses start adopting a similar approach to community engagement...if not, I’m grateful we have Community Phone!
Ive used them for my 4 cellphones for my business for a couple years now (maybe more than a couple, 2020 is making me lose track of time). I always get real people on the phone when Ive got questions or issues, and theyre always helpful and actually follow up. James, one of the owners does a surprising amount of the customer service himself, super hands on which is impressive. Ive also referred them to other folks and always gotten positive feedback. Ill take real people over machines 24/7.

The companys price is favorable and the service is considerate. For more than half a year, I have been very satisfied with this phone company and would like to recommend it to others.

This is a very very bad company. I paid for phone line and modem for a year. Is two weeks now no one is answering my calls to activate my number. Please if dont want a white elephant of a phone and a modem in your house then dont deal with them. Regret and headache is all you will get. If you still want go ahead sign up for month to month. You might be lucky someone will answer and activate your service. As for me is a loss cause am not going to fight it. Lesson learnt.

Do yourself a big favour Don’t ever sign up with them. They are thieves and liars. Everybody in the company hide behind your phone. I have six accounts with them. I cancelled all of them.They simply do not care about their customers. This sign you up then you will never ever hear from them and they will not take your calls they will put you in a queue which says two minutes waiting for someone to answer the phone BUT BUT Half an hour later they will drop the call without answering it.From now on, I will tell every single person I come across with not to do business with them
I had a very good experience, with some real problem solvers in this company. Not all things that go wrong can be blamed on one company. these are very patient, kind, very customer service oriented individuals working here. I ported a landline from another state, another company and now have the best deal ever. I am pleased with the fact these are problem solvers, not quitters. I am happy and will be a long time customer.

I came into the store one day because I had heard about the exhibit on Telecommunications in Cambridge. I am a historian at MIT and wanted to see if it was worthwhile. Turns out it is! Not a happy customer. Always no body answers phone call, always give me a trouble every month, paid last week and was charged again this week. I have to call at least several times a month, they can always miss sth or have a mistake. Disappointed
I wish I could give zero stars for this review but Google wont let me do that. After texting Community Phone Company to ask for info about porting my line, they went ahead in canceling my service without my knowledge or consent. This was one week ago. I am *still* trying to get my phone # back in service, but every day, there are new excuses why it hasnt happened, new reasons why they think this happened and how to fix it, followed by new empty promises that everything will resolve itself by the end of the day...and all this is *if* you happen to be lucky enough to get someone on the phone after waiting for 20 minutes on hold even though theres an automated voice telling you that someone will be with you in 5 minutes. My next step is to contact the Attorney Generals consumer protection branch. Im also contacting the Better Business Bureau. Do yourself a favor and DONT choose Community Phone. I like to think that I give balanced reviews, but I cant give anything but zero stars for this company.

I wanted a smart phone after my granddaughter told me she puts pictures on the internet, and I wanted to see them. I received a text message last Sunday from their system indicating that I ran out of the data, so I purchased 5 G online, and the internet on my cell worked the same day after restarting my cellphone. The next day I received the message again, even though I didnt use the data that much, so I called the support and upgraded my plan to a higher data base (+15 G), and they said I am an old customer and would give me a discount, so the internet worked right away in the same day, but yesterday (the next day, the data showed it exhausted and the internet on my cell didnt work again. I called so many time since yesterday (Friday and today Saturday from 10 am ) no body answers the phone even their voice indicated their work hour from Mon - Sat 10 -6. I am so tired working with this company. If this didnt figure out, I have to cancel their service. it is too waste of my time. I can be 100% sure their good Reviews here are fake.

Initially heard about them due to their focus on providing great service for older customers (spend a lot of time doing phone support for my mom) but ended up switching myself from Sprint due to better rates and service...couldnt be happier!
