Very bizarre experience with a manager there (Emma, I think?). I brought in an older iPhone for a battery replacement. I was happy to pay for the replacement battery, but the manager warned me that Apple techs might break my perfectly working, unbroken screen during the battery replacement process—and that if they do break my screen, Id also have to have to pay for a new screen. What?!? If Apple techs damage my perfectly fine undamaged screen (see photo), I’d need to pay for a new screen??? I could hardly believe she was telling me this with a straight face. I’m following up with Apple Customer Support. Hopefully this was just some bizarre misunderstanding. I can’t believe Apple would want to charge me for new damage their techs might create.

I went back around December 2020, the two stars are for the person working the line to enter the store, and for the tech who ultimately helped me, they were both very nice and helpful.The lack of the other three stars, is because the first tech I spoke with, didnt do his job properly and also didnt seem like he wanted to be there, which I get but its not a pleasant shopping experience to deal with a rude person. I was there to pick up a new phone that a family member had bought for me as a gift, and the family member had completed all the steps needed to get me logged as a verified person to pick it up from the store. However, the first tech claimed I was not listed as a verified person. I had to waste time getting out of line, call my family member to confirm I was logged [I was], and get back in line.Thats when the second tech helped me, and he was much more pleasant and helpful. He explained that I indeed was listed as a verified person, but he had to scroll down a little farther on his screen to see it. So he basically told me that his coworker didnt do his job correctly and wasted my time....I get that mistakes happen, but his coworker, the one who made the mistake, was standing right next to him and heard the whole thing, and didnt even apologize for the mistake. This was back in December of last year when it was flu season, and the mall was very crowded so it took a while to wait in line.I do really appreciate the second tech, and the person working the line who noticed all this and apologized for my inconvenience. But Im just saying, I dont recommend having high expectations for this store in terms of time spent.

Today was my only day off of work and I came in to get my phone camera fixed I was told by the manager I do not have apple care when I do and a replacement that would have cost me $99 would now be $500.I left the store and called customer service and they processed the order in 15 minutes over the phone for $99. I wasted my whole day away dealing with this location. I do not recommend them!

You can walk in, look around and talk to staff. You can even talk to a manager but you can’t buy anything without an appointment or buying it online. How is this a store if you can’t leave your money? Not pleased with this experience.Also - there we’re 12 staff members in the store to 16 customers. I wonder how hard it would have been to take my money 💵 good work Jimmy.

No excuse for an apple store to have incorrect hours on maps. Store does not open at 10 it opens at 11.I planned a day around their hours, this cost me over $100 for ferry tickets to get to Boston and many hours of my time.I have patience for small stores who don’t update their hours, but I shouldn’t be surprised like this by someone like apple.I’m going to have to make a separate trip for my other errands. Huge inconvenience,

I went in to get my computer repaired… not sure if it was completed. I called Apple support and they said it was all set. I walked into the store and Jimmy was so rude to me talking down to me as if It was at fault. Make sure they have the correct email address when you leave the store because they will email you and put their hands up when they say got the email anyways my Apple repair was $1300 and I bought it for 1800. Don’t buy a MacBook Pro it’s such a waste of money. Also Jimmy is a manager and legit acted like my 8 year old brother. I felt embarrassed for him. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean you can talk to me as if I’m dumb.

Had a wonderful experience when I bought my MacBook Pro into the store for display(screen) replacement.Geniuses at the store did their best and made sure in giving me back a 100% working MacBook.Went in for display replacement but, some other parts (Touch ID and etc..) were also needed to be replaced and they took care of em as part of the repair.Dave (manager) was the best.Thank you

This is my first 1 star review ever. I am a 5 star giver in general. If the service and quality is good, I give 5 stars.I purchased four iPhone 12’s and cases. One of the cases is clear. This case lasted 7 days and has a crack. It’s the new design with mag ring. I returned to store and explained the situation. I was told it’s my problem. I explained the case is a new design and may be flawed. I was told it’s not covered.I am so disappointed with Apple. I have been a loyal customer to the Apple brand for 12 years and have never had a negative experience. I cannot believe they will not stand behind a new product. I called customer service and was told if I purchased online they would replace it. I am so confused. It the issue with this location or the company. Is Apple all about money and not quality?

Great customer service 👌🏽 got my phone screen replaced here once and today i were there to run a diagnostic on my mother-in-law phone because it kept restarting on its own. Everything went smoothly, the phone will be sent in a repair shop and get back to me within a week.

Don’t leave your product at the Service Center. I went for a small issue with my Macbook’s keyboard, they advice that I should change the battery (+$200). After 5 days they returned my MacBook Pro with no new battery, my old one disconnected and the Wifi antenna not working. I spend the whole day with the contact center giving me a tons of useless advice and my laptop still not running! (photo: Macbook connected to power and ethernet cable to try to fix it). Cant believe I’m in this situation after +20 years with Apple products

So apple is really structured now due to Covid (which I know is a good thing) when you’re trying to walk in to do anything. They usually ask you if you have an appointment and if you don’t I have been turned away at other locations due to them being booked. I just had to make a return and the main check in person was so helpful and able to step away from the queue and take care of it right away. I really appreciated him and that it didn’t have to be a whole process. Again, it is nice to see them taking Covid precautions though.

I brought my MacBook Pro to have the trackpad, keyboard, battery, fan, and logic board replaced. The technician was super helpful and friendly, he even talked to the manager to get me a better deal so I wouldnt pay more money than necessary, and they had the computer ready in like 4 days. Dropped my iPhone 7 off to get battery replaced after 3.5 years of use. Within 24h of receiving the phone after it was repaired, the phone started turning off on its own and home button stopped working. I went back to the store, and was advised that they were unable to assist due to “water damage” in the phone. I refuse to believe that after 3.5 years of use, my phone stops working the day after dropping it off to be repaired due to “water damage” that they wouldn’t even look at.Would strongly advise use of a different Apple store

I had a accidentally damaged device several years out of warranty and no apple care and i took it to this store... they advised me to contact apple support on the phone and ask them to make an exception and give me a free repair because the damage was so “minor”...the store did not offer to make that call for me or have me make that call while i was already at the store... so i went all the way home and i did make that phone call and was advised in this situation Apple can not make an exception because of the age and warranty status of this device... i cannot really believe that the store didn’t have knowledge of this policy...i spent time driving to the store, waiting for assistance, was given an expectation that i may get it for free to then spend an hour on the phone on hold and talking to different advisors to be told i still had to pay for this repair on this device... this is not the apple standard of service that i’m used to or that i expect... do better in your retail stores!

Some Covid safety things I really appreciated: distance markings for queue, limited entry, masks, lots of sanitizer, even random temperature checks for those in line (done by mall security). Some things I didnt like however: I ordered ahead for pick-up but didnt realize pickup meant waiting in a line that wrapped into the mall itself. There was an overabundance of staff often just standing around which made the line even more frustrating. Once inside (still, just to pickup) despite it seeming they were trying to keep 6 feet distance, there were just too many people at the front of the store to maintain it as you walked to your station or back out (or they passed behind you to go further into the store). They basically have done no physical rearrangement of the table layouts inside. They could have done a much better job with entrance/exit paths. I wouldnt venture back.

Bad service is here. I brought my AirPod Pro to this store for replacement as “AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues”. The technician didn’t replace it for me. He just check connection then gave back to me. It seems he didn’t understand about the replacement process.Meanwhile my friend’s AirPod pro was replaced at Boylston street store. I and my friend bought them the same day and they had same sound issues. Why the technician didn’t check serial number if it was eligible for “ AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues”. It was really waste my time to wait and made appointment.

The wait time is less than ideal: I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, and ended up with help over 25 minutes later. Other than that, once it came my turn to get help, the experience was excellent. Jesse was very attentive and went extra miles to make my experience as good as it can get. Based on my experience, its advised to note their busiest hours and plan accordingly, since at 3pm when I went the store was packed full and the wait times were as I described.

Terrible service and extremely rude, I had an appointment to pickup a home pod and asked the apple employee if I could ask a question regarding the purchase I made of a phone case and he asked me to show the receipt. As I was looking for my receipt on my emails, the apple employee told me that he could only give me 30 seconds and he told me to leave and come back when I had the receipt ready on my screen. I had an appointment and he couldn’t bother to give me any time at all.

Wait time isnt too bad if you have an appointment. But the person who helped me had a totally different story from the person who helped me via chat. And he seemed so done with his job. There are a few enthusiastic employees and thats nice. But this location is usually where parents just leave their kids while they browse some products so you see a lot of children running around.

Clowns work at this store. I have never had a more unpleasant buying experience. My MacBook pros screen broke... abruptly for no apparent reason. My $1200 device which I purchased just over a year ago and even had a screen protector and case for it. For no reason, the screen completely stopped working. No drop, no liquid damage, just broken.After bringing it here I was told that it would be a 4 hour wait or I could get an appointment in 3 weeks. How something thats not my fault should require this dramatic of an inconvenience is beyond me.Nevertheless, at this appointment after escalating this issue several levels Im told all they can do is provide a replacement for $509 and theyre not sure if it will even fix it. After it replaced screen stops working in about 2 weeks. The worst company in the US and absolutely terrible customer service from this branch.

Phone broke. I had been paying monthly for insurance for almost two years though! So, all good, right?I took it in and it was covered by the insurance BUT I needed a backup of my data, so went home with my broken phone to order a hard drive big enough to backup a 256GB phone.I don’t rush because I have coverage. Six weeks later, Covid.I can’t go in for months because of covid.I call a few months into Covid to try to replace it over the phone.“Your service plan expired.”“How does a monthly service plan expire?”“It stops after two years.”“Then why did I pay $10 monthly, why not charge upfront like a normal two year warranty?”“... you should have read the terms..”They reopen, I go in.They can see my visit and that my phone broke in November while covered.They refuse to cover the fix anyways.“You could have come in a grace period.”“It was Covid. I stopped going in public after early reports, I can show you proof.”“You still could have come in. We were open.”“It was a pandemic, I wasn’t going in large gatherings of people.”“We were open.”“Okay, fine. Let’s concentrate on the fact that I could have come in right after the initial visit, pre-Covid. I have some fault. I’m not asking for a full replacement, just help me get it fixed for less than the $500 standard or into a new one of the same model phone.”“No, you have to pay full price.”If you thought you were buying a luxury brand with Apple, consider how they will treat you.

This showroom is big and you have all the available Apple products on display here. Yes it is an huge showroom located on the Ground level of the mall. You have many staffs to assist you. When the store is crowded there is normally a waiting time. As all other Apple store not much discounts are available, but you will get your products.

Gladly handed out $340 worth of goods to a non English speaking customer with my stolen out of town debit card, using credit, unsigned. My name does not remotely sound Spanish, and the thief opted to not use debit. Check the ID if its not signed please. Pretty sure thats the correct legal process. Use your head and know the rules.

I bought applecare + for my daughters mac book pro. 13 months later the screen failed. Now it takes a week to get an appointment. Best buy at least looked at it. They will ship it out for a 14 day repair. Why do people want Apples. This sort of service is ridiculous.

Any time Ive ever had a problem with any of my Apple products theyve been beyond helpful here! They also informed me that Verizon has given me a refurbished for 4S iPhone and the proper paperwork to show Verizon that it wasnt a new phone. I currently have the new 6+ iPhone with Sprint and Im looking forward to taking classes here its a great store with the best Apple employees Ive ever seen!

This review actually belongs to 7 months ago when I first went to Apple Store on Boylston Street and had a terrible experience and wrote them a review too. But, my experience after that in the Cambridgeside Galleria store was incredible and I just didnt manage to write a review for them so I remembered I owed them a review. A couple days after my terrible experience at Apple store at Boylston Street, my friend and I went to Cambridgeside Galleria Apple store for the same thing which was getting 2 ipads for my sister and niece while taking advantage of student discount by presenting my student ID (and this time, my friends student ID too, just to make sure Id get the deal on both Ipads). A young and very nice lady, whose name I cant remember, attended us and took care of my request without even feeling a need to check our student IDs that we had with us. Anyway, we got the deal on both Ipads that I was looking for and, to our surprise, on top of that we got another $20 discount on each Ipad and that was because as of that very day noon Apple had launched the new Ipads and discounted the current ones (the ones I was trying to buy 2 days earlier on Boylston Street anyway). So, even the first experience (the bad one) worked for good for me. Ones experience in either of the stores most likely depends on who attends them but overall for me the Cambridgeside Galleria has always been great!

I had an appointment at 7:05pm. I got there earlier then I thought I would when I made the appointment Saturday afternoon. So I asked the greeter if I could be seen earlier. He got snappy. And said no there is a three hour wait. Made it seem like he just wanted me gone. So I came at 6:55 pm. Took my seat. Almost twenty minutes late. Not impressed. I make a appointment at a certain time I expect you guys to be on time or close to it. The guy I worked with was a little helpful though.
