Came here after shopping in the mall and there were a bunch of flavors to choose from which was great but honestly very normal donuts and nothing to write home about. I thought the stand was a bit less clean than I would have wanted for buying something I was going to eat. The three for $15 deal with donut holes was a good steal, and I liked the pumpkin spice donut. The donuts did go bad pretty quickly so I don’t think they were the highest quality.
Very quirky and creative donut shop! There are so many varieties of specialty donuts to choose from. It definitely isnt a typical donut store. The experience of such a fun donut is worth every penny! Tried a few different ones with some friends and they were all very sweet and delicious, great for calming a sweet tooth!
The donuts are cool looking and are pretty good. The service is really ok but my God if you don’t preorder during a holiday season you are out of luck.
The donuts here are amazing I just wish they had a better variety of selection like they used to Other than that if you want some amazing donuts this is definitely the place to come Theyre probably the freshest youll get in town
Over the top donuts, I think I prefer a simpler donut but the staff is really friendly and the donuts are good.
Yummy! 😋I had to stop. Always wonderful surprises to enjoy.
Visiting my family in San Jose and asked for some good local treats and this was one place they mentioned. So we hit it up on the last day and it was delicious. I love the theme and decor. They offer a variety of fun merch but that’s not why you’re reading this. The donuts...The donuts were very unique. There was a big variety of crazy custom creations and some ‘normal’ donuts too. We got a variety and then split them so that we could sample a bunch; so glad we did. The Girl Scout Cookies was very minty and good. The Sticky Monkey was sticky and delicious, though a little sought in the middle. The S’mores was good, as was the Boston Scream. We had a raised maple and cake too, they were as good as the rest but ‘normal’ donuts. Overall I think the Sticky Monkey was my favorite. If I’m the area then check this place out!
The demon child looked up Psycho Donuts out of a fit of nostalgia...the old one located in the 3 Below lobby has since closed..Excellent customer service, great selection of super fun Psycho donuts!Even picked up a few for the grandparents....they were fans of the 3 Below location. Not only were they were surprised by our delivery they were super excited!
Love the donuts! Theres something for everyone.
Always a great time. Great donuts which are tasty and fun. Will be back again.
This place is a gem among gems. Their donuts are so fun and creative and all taste absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is also top notch and matches the quirky nature of the donuts they sell. The staff has always been great and I am there all the time so its safe to say all the staff members are fantastic. If you are in the mood for weird donuts as well as just a fantastic normal donuts you really cant get any better in the whole Bay Area. (Pictured here is one of their season Valentines Day donuts!
Went here for donuts this morning after reading they had vegan donuts. +1 for having vegan donuts! The frosting was average and was a bit difficult to distinguish the flavor, but the vanilla cake donut base was good!Got a total of 6 donuts which came out to a whopping $24. Probably shouldve read the prices first. The cheapest standard donut is $3 and the most expensive large fritter donuts are $5, with the average mid-tier one at $4.Giving this place 4 stars because the donuts arent all that amazing that they should cost that much, but marks for creativity and maintaining the theme. All in all, weve had better donuts for a much lesser price (even in the Bay Area).Customer service was nice but had an interesting thing happen where I was given the wrong donut and I realized it in the car outside the store. Went back in to the store to inform them they had given me two of the same donuts instead of the two different ones I ordered, and the employee took one of the extra ones out of my bag and put it back into the case. I really really hope it wasnt served to another customer, especially with heightened COVID protocols everywhere
A unique selection of creatively designed donuts that includes a few vegan options. I especially enjoyed the apple fritter that was fluffy and not at all oily (unlike other fritters that are oil soaked). A bit pricey, but worth the drive. Im sure to return, even got a punch card for future freebies!
The donuts themselves were good, dont get me wrong. They were delicious. But having the theme be mental illness, having a donut named after SUICIDE, and a number of other things I noticed in the store was a little bit in poor taste and made me and my partner somewhat uncomfortable. We have friends and family who have gone through mental illness, suicide attempts, been called psycho and had stays at psychiatric hospitals...maybe Im just more sensitive to it. But making a joke out of mental health isnt really fun or funny.I love a campy themed shop but I think it might be time to rethink some of the choices made here. At the very least you should recognize that suicide squeeze is an inappropriate name for a donut.
Crazy for Psycho Donuts! 😜🍩.Today is my daughters birthday....I think this counts as cake!!! 🤣.They make some truly insane donuts. The Cereal Killer is a personal favorite. A raised donut with a glaze of marshmallow and covered in Captain Crunch with Crunch Berries! Wicked delish! Not something I get very often but when I do.... Im ALL in!
Tasty unique donuts. However, they do not accept cash. Hence 3 stars.
Yummy 😋 donuts, but store looks like it just open. Lots of boxes everywhere
They arent the best donuts Ive ever had in my life but they are fun and creative. Some of them are a bust but Ive definitely enjoyed more than Ive disliked here. Its fun. Also my Instagram discover feed informs me they have a JoJos Bizarre Adventure themed donut but I have yet to see it in store. Also Jones Soda in the fridge.Edit: Crunchyroll Expo 2018 finally got my anime themed donuts. The Crunchyroll and the JoJo one. Both jelly filled goodness.
I visited there new location at Valley Fair Mall, donuts were ok but definitely not worth the price. I purchased 3 donuts, 1 apple fritter and 2 just plain looking donuts and it was over $16. I will not be going back!!
One of the most unique donut shops around. Nothing really compares to the fun variety and selection offered by Pyscho Donuts. If you want to make sure you can get an exact order it is best to order online the day before so they can have your box ready to go. Walk in works as well, but not all the same donuts are available same day. Prices vary depending on size and complexity. They are great for work or large group events because people can share many of the options.
Ehh.. good looking donuts but tastes ok (too sweet borderline)
Love this donut place its a must whenever Im visiting the area the Boston scream pie donut is the perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness.
Great service, creative donuts, sub-par taste. We swing by around 6pm on a Tuesday. The lady behind the counter was kind and we got a variety of weird donuts. The flavors and toppings were fun, but they tasted more like cakey than we liked. Perhaps it was because they werent fresh (it was the end of the day), but I would probably just go to Krispy Kreme the next time Im craving donuts.
This donut shop is AWESOME. The donuts all have amazing names and incredible flavor options. We got a half dozen of different donuts, and they all were delicious.
Good selecting of donuts. I had an oreo cookie one and the doh-nut named after the Simpsons. Both were good with just the right amount of frosting. Would go here again and try some other flavors.
Great donuts and awesome service. Loved the bananas foster!
Donuts were delicious and unusual, but the theme was a bit much for those of us with friends with mental health difficulties, particularly the suicide donuts for those of us who have lost friends and family to suicide. Donuts were really good, and staff was friendly, though.
This place serves a variety of the creative donuts. You can find the menu with descriptions online. Some good ones are Boston Scream Pie and Strawberry Fields. And of course you need some black coffee to go with the donuts. Parking can be hard to find since its located in a small plaza close by the Campbell Community Center.
No trans fats and delicious! Plus the people working there are always super nice!
Great selections of doughnuts. Nice place. Good customer service, friendly staff.
Sugary teeth rotting over rated donuts
Honestly best donut place.
They seem confused about their hours. In the afternoon I was told they closed at 9:00 PM. At 8:45 PM I was told they were already closed. Arbitrary closing times? They wouldn’t give me a straight answer about when they *really* closed—just said that the mall closed at 9.
One of the most unique, yet absolutely epic selections of donuts you will find anywhere in the Bay Area (at least, but probably more like the whole west coast)! I highly recommend the ... Uh ... Yes. You should try them all. I havent had one yet that wasnt completely out of this world! But you probably think Im Nuts tho, huh?
Amazing donut spot just wish it was open more
Great donuts!
If youre used to melt-in-your-mouth, hot-off-the-conveyor Krispy Kreme donuts, lower your expectations a little before going into Psycho Donuts. Its not the actual doughnut that makes these treats over the top and tasty, its the variety of toppings, drizzles, and textures that make a Psycho Donut fun and unique. My favorite was the Dead Elvis (peanut butter and jelly drizzle, bacon, and banana) and 100% the Sticky Monkey (banana fosters fritter like thing). The staff is friendly (and dressed like nurses), the decor is neat, and its a nice little stop especially if youre from out of town.
While the donuts are slightly above average, the service has suffered since the owner died. The people behind the counter ask too many annoying questions and they have too many ordering rules; you cant have this but you can have that. Just an annoying experience.
Love 💘 their Doughnuts 🍩.
Most expensive, tasteless, unattractive, donuts ( if you dare call them donuts.) They dont accept cash. No display, if your looking for traditional donuts, not the place.
The donuts are great tasting, very unusual looking, with fun designs on top. These donuts are rather expensive though.
They used to be really nice, worth the price as well. I went about a week ago and the selection seems very blah. A heart shaped donut with raspberry jelly and half a pocky stick was 3.50. It was nice, but not worth the price. The staff is always nice here too but I doubt ill come here again
The doughnuts we got were amazing. The head banger is our favorite!
Meh.. I ordered the pumpkin fritter and it was massively undercooked. Lots of raw gluey dough but I was already home in Hollister so not worth returning, but I probably wont bother going back. Other donuts were OK.. nothing that special.
The best!! Love this place. Coolness factor is amazeballs.
The monkey bread and old fashioned donuts are delicious! Staff is very friendly and accommodating, and there is a nice variety of donut flavors. I was also asked if I wanted a donut that was a little bit larger, which was nice. Decor is pretty wild. It smells kinda stuffy, and I wish they had a dairy free selection available in the afternoons. Overall this place is pretty cool and there are lots of flavors to try!
Very filling cake donuts but theyre so good.
Liked it so much there! The whole ambience is psycho and scary, hence the name. Have some great donuts options and things to do time-pass like bubble wrap, finger ghost toys :D
Love this place. Amazing donuts and amazing staff. Thought about ordering my gf a dozen roses for her bday. Decided a dozen donuts and coffee delivered to her work is more edible. I called and asked if they did anything special, and although they dont have bday specific things, they threw in a little something for her and decorated the box with some cute doodles. The gf loved it, and I have earned major points. YeesssssssP.S. Im not that dumb. Im still getting her flowers. But shhhhhh dont spoil the surprise.
Major love for being open at the crack of dawn (even before really) - the atmosphere, sense of humor and the staff... I just wished that the vegan donuts were marked / labelled. Its hard for me to go off a staff member seemingly looking at them and guessing along with me. I couldnt buy them as I didnt feel comfortable but they all looked phenomenal.
Psycho Donuts is awesome. It will always be awesome. If you end up buying 6 donuts, check the price for a dozen. Sometimes it can be only a few dollars more.Lots of varieties & flavors. There is a Vegan selection as well. (And they taste great)
Visited after a day at the Winchester Mansion and even at 4 pm the donuts they had remaining were fresh and appealing. My kids got a kick out of the whole theme... well be driving back for sure, earlier next time to try more of their goodies!
One of my favorite donut place. You’ll get large variety to choose, have the best and fresh donuts.
I went there 2-3 time last week, each time they are closed, dont know when they are going to open at all
Soooo fresh tasting. A specialty donut made with quality ingredients is worth more than they charge. So, buy more and share!
The BEST place to buy donuts! I used to live in the area and would come here all the time, but whenever I am in the area, it is worth the extra miles to come and get some INSANE donuts! They are not your ordinary donuts, not one bit. They will blow your mind with what donuts they have and how great they taste!!! They are a little pricey compared to regular donuts, but theyre all worth the extra price. If you love sweets, then come and try what they have!
Good hole in the wall place. Their fancy doughnuts will cost you quite a bit per dozen, but its definitely worth an occasional party sensation. Place is pretty laid back and chill, with hardly a packed building when I got there at 12:30. I hear that its a busy place during Halloween though!
Very unique and interesting items but nothing exciting no great tastes or flavors calling me to run back and get more.
Fun AND yummy. Each ones a kitchen-sink of a donut. A cant-go-wrong place to take your kids, too. These donuts are best described via photo captioned with their individual names. They make a birthday donut (party size) pizza too.
This place is fantastic! Went for Super Bowl and service was very attentive, food & cocktails are great, and served as soon as theyre done. TVs lined up next to each other all the way around so you can see no matter where & which way youre sitting!
Unique and tasty donuts
Fun donuts creations and a nice theme to the store. Tasty, yes. Fun, sure. Outstanding, no. But is still go back of I was in the area.
Great donuts if you get them early! Show up and order the red encrusted one with dried raspberries. That one is clearly the star of the show and my favorite. They also have a monstrous blueberry fritter that I havent tried but would really like to. Maybe some day.
Not you average donut shop. Offers donuts that are made up of the weirdest combination of ingredients. Very tasty stuff when you are ready to jump on that sugar train. If you like the review and maybe find it useful, feel free to like
Unique flavors and topping. The actual donut underneath is average. Extra points for having vegan options.
Brilliant idea. Great customer service I even left a tip. Great donut selection. Love this place love the idea Good Vibes.
Average but homey. Good chicken and good fries, yummy snert (look it up), cozy atmosphere, friendly people
Simply the best donuts in the Bay area, if not the whole world! They are all very friendly and helpful if you are new. There are so many different options... 10/10 would recommend!!
I absolutely love Psycho Donuts. The donuts are amazing, and the customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend this place.
