I used to get my services done at a dealership...but I found Auto Max (a few months ago) by accident when the dealership could not fit me in. IM SO GLAD TOO BECAUSE THESE GUYS ARE GREAT! Friendly and efficient. They call you back when they say they will...and keep their word...which it critical these days! Theyre a big business with a small town feel here in Canby.

Quality, Integrity, QuickI first tried AutoMax due to some good reviews on Google; I am among the good reviewers now. Ive taken my truck several times to Frank and his team, and am very pleased each time. Nobody enjoys spending loads of money on repairs but they earned every cent. Dropping off my truck has been very convenient and simple due to the way they do business. When other issues were found that could be addressed while already in a problem area to save money, Frank would simply text a description with a photo and ask yes or no to proceed with a fix. The quality and turn around time have been unmatched from other shops in my experience. I highly recommend AutoMax in Canby for any repairs and will continue to use their auto service myself.

I want to commend Auto Max for great and honest Service. We moved to Canby in Dec and had to find a new local mechanic. I was selling a car and the buyer chose Auto Max to do a pre purchase inspection. They were honest and straight forward. I have since taken 3 other cars or ours there and there are prompt and honest. I had them look at things and 2 times they looked at it and never charged me, They Offered repair suggestions which included taking it to a specialist. A lot of shops are all about the money, these guys are honest and that means the world to me. I also love that they will text me on small things so we can solve the problem quickly. I highly recommend this company. You can always have something weird happen we are humans but I think how people respond speaks volumes. These guys respond. Thank you and see you soon.

Great people and do excellent work.

Bought a Mitsubishi Eclipse GT new in 2000. Engine failed at 274,000 miles. Had trouble finding a shop that would fix it. Called Auto Max in Canby. Bring it in they said! I wanted the original engine rebuilt. They quoted a price and time line. They did the job on time and at the price they quoted. They upgraded sensors, put in new hoses, cleaned the Fuel Injection. The people here are friendly and courteous. They pulled the engine out, sent it to an engine rebuild shop, kept me informed of the progress. The car runs like new! Just what I wanted!So I told them my AC in the Silverado had quit working. Bring it in they said! They quoted a price and a time line. They fixed it when they said at the price they quoted! I get my oil changed there now. I will take all my car problems there from now on.

Friendly and knowledgeable! They fit me in last minute and were very accommodating. They didnt try to talk me into any unnecessary services and did the job well. This will be my go to place for my car so long as Im in the area.

Excellent vendor for affordable bumpers

Very poor experience lost all trust with this company, went in there for a a tune up. they did a tune-up and my car started acting even worse. As a courtesy they decided to look at their work two different times he came to the conclusion that it needed about $4,000 of engine repair. My neighbor took a look at it and they had installed a bad spark plug!during the tune up.he simply pulled the cabel that cover the spark plug, it was that easy for someone with basic car experience in mechanics. I have a picture and im tryng to figure how to up load it, very dissapointed in their performance. Felt betrayed.BEWARE !!

Really nice place! We recently got an older 1995 honda up and running and were having some concerns about smoke from the exhaust. Felt bad for showing up 40mins before closing but the guy was very nice and helpful. Suggested multiple things of what it could be and options on how to deal with each. Offered to quickly look at it for free to double check if it was safe and other spot check wear and tear issues.All of the suggestions were customer orientated with best budget and use in mind and what they offered. Very happy not just jumping for the expensive fix but a better work around that still brings business.

My mechanic stated he doesnt believe that the brake fluid was actually changed.. Not sure if they actually did it or not.

Beginning of my story: I took my 2012 Hyundai into another shop because there was a sound occuring rotationally (it made a constant hum which would speed up as my car did). The other shop diagnosed it as a transmission bearing issue and quoted me $1200 to get into the transmission and replace it, or $1600 for a like-new tranny.We took my car into Auto Max for a second opinion and Im so happy that we did! As we assumed, the wheel bearings and hub needed to be replaced on my car, and there were two visually flat areas on the rear tires. Frank at Auto Max took the time to take my tires off, check my wheels and figured out the issue. The price of parts and labor was very reasonable, and the customer service was great. I always appreciate when someone takes the time to check all issues rather than recommending a large, very expensive transmission repair! Thank you Frank and Auto Max service!
