Had a curbside order, checked in.. waited 15 minutes. Throughout my wait I can see staff looking out the window at my car so I thought, “ok they’re busy, but will come soon.” Nobody ever came. I finally went inside. There was absolutely NO line, not a single person at the registers, and the cashier was on her phone. I politely explained the situation. The cashier replies “ok” and then asked my name and gave me my order. No apologies, which is all I wanted. Will be going to Sephora Nextdoor.

The ladies at this store are so kind. My birthday was earlier this month I stopped in for my gift and they were out. A young lady took my name and number and called my home today and left a message that they had it on hold for me. I picked up a gift at a different store the other day. I called them back to thank them and asked they give it to someone else. I just wanted to call out these young ladies give great customer service and I really appreciated them calling like they said they would. CANTON ULTA ROCKS
Ive lived in Canton all my life and have been coming to this Ulta since it opened. I usually never have a bad experience- just get my things and go-but recently I went and encountered the rudest person working there. I think her name was Jessica (thats what it said on the receipt) and I hope she gets fired. I was making an exchange where I had to put in a few extra dollars and had left my card in the car. I was rummaging in my purse for change while she kept sighing at me. In the end I couldnt purchase the item and had to go back and get my card. When I came back into the store 5 seconds later she gave me that same annoyed face and sighing. I apologized multiple times for the inconvenience and her response was the same. Truly felt so disrespected. I wondered how she treated other people who honestly didnt have enough money to pay for their purchase. Maybe hire nicer people? Or people of color? Or anyone understanding and patient? Its not that hard to smile, Jessica.Needless to say, thank god a new Sephora opened in Ford Road Khols. Will be taking my business to a more professional franchise.

This is always my favorite location to come in and shop at, its always so clean. This past time Jenn and Madison searched high and low for the cleanser I was looking to try out and found it, that cleanser turned out to be the exact thing I was searching for too.Also reccomend me a few other things. The customer service here is awful. Came in two weeks ago and asked about a product. The women at the cashier said If you didn’t see it we probably don’t have it. Maybe do your job & check? The topping on the cake was when my grandma went in last week, which led me to leave this review. If you see someone searching or looking for someone to help them find something, please do your job. It’s that simple. It’s not a huge store. You are aware of where things are & which products are in stock. Act like you care & extend help as you should.
Went shopping yesterday evening 8/21/2121 after 5pm and asked about a previous product from Benefit called Puff Off for your under your eyes to reduce puffiness to see if they still carried it or something similar because I couldnt find it. One worker wasnt familiar with this product or anything similar so she stopped another co-worker before she left from her shift to see if she knew of any other products similar and she said I dont know, ice!. No one stopped to do any research so I just paid for what I had and left. You need to hire competent workers who know how to sell products and dont sound idiotic in front of customers. We are there for a reason, your Owners/Management should be embarrassed by the lack of professionalism and customer service. We spend a lot of money in this store and this was a terrible experience. I wont be back. Thank goodness Sephora is now at Kohls.
If I could leave a review with no stars I would. I went in and nobody greeted me. I was looking for a specific product and I was directed to the employee named marissa and she made me feel like a burden. She did not give me the time of day. I asked her if there was the product I was looking for in my shade, in the back and instead of looking or acting like she was looking, she told me no and I asked her about availability at other stores and she said she can’t do it and wouldn’t ask anybody else if they could. Honestly this experience was terrible and I was planning on purchasing a lot but with her being rude and making me feel like I was a burden to her, I left without my products. I’d rather take my business elsewhere.
I used to come here all the time but once they hired new management, I think her name is Melissa or Marissa, things went down hill and now there is terrible customer service. I do not get any help when I am there and I feel like a burden. It’s okay though because I’m just going to go shop at Sephora now! :)

I don’t normally shop at Ulta. I came to this location a year ago and the staff was condescending and unhelpful. I was dragged back her about a week ago by my friends and I am glad they did. A very lovely makeup artist by the name of Adriana Harris noticed me looking at concealers and kindly approached me asking if I need help. She then went on to explain how one should match the concealer shades to their skin tone, and explained all the different types and techniques of application. We ended up looking at Lancôme, IT, and NARS for comparison. She was so informed regarding all the products. She also showed me Lancôme products that were particular to preventing eye puffiness and wrinkles in the future. So not only did she go over what to use to cover dark circles but also how to help prevent them.Adriana Harris is the type of employee that makes it worth it to come into the store rather than buy online (which is what everyone wants to do). Her professionalism, kindness, and expertise is the reason I’ll be visiting the store again.(I’ve attached photos of the products I bought- they worked well for my under eyes)
I went to this store & a person with spiky hair, that was probably late teens - early twenties; followed me around the floor. No matter what section I went to they followed me pretended to look at things. I know this was racially motivated because I was the only POC in the store & they didn’t follow anyone else.
In this ulta beauty Oxana is a lady which is always whispered about the clients,she thinks customers are blind,but they are not,and her this act looks so bad and customers dont like her,its my personal experience, and other people observed too.Manager should kick her out from the ulta company.She is a drama queen in this store.Even other workers are so nice.
My hair was cut and dyed by Ashley in the Salon. She did an AMAZING job. The color turned out perfectly and I was happy with the length as well. I get very nervous to cut my hair short and after seeing it when she was done, I was so excited. I highly recommend her to anyone going to ULTA Beauty Salon. Shes wonderful.
I went in to purchase Sauvage Dior cologne for a gift. The sign says $120 when I was rung up it came to $125. I explained to her what the sign says and she says well that’s wrong we need to remove the sign. I explained to her that online it shows you get a free dior gift with any dior purchase and her response was well that’s online, you’re in store right now. I made my $127 purchase and vowed to never step foot in Ulta.
I went here for a eyebrow tint and eye lash placement. I loved my lashes she placed them perfect it only lasted a few days but that’s all I needed. Now my eyebrows were a waste of $ the tint didn’t take and it was smudged on like bad makeup. I’m glad it wasn’t permanent I removed it as soon as I got home.
Place nice and clean with good variety of products, however, I purchased something that cause a severe allergic reaction. Had to return it. No issues with that. Good service.
1/10/2021 my cashier was a lady named Hana. I approached the register and the first thing she asked me was what my phone number was. I declined to give it, and asked if it was necessary to disclose my number to purchase the items and she said no. Then without consulting me or explaining what she was doing she asked a random woman at another register what her phone number was- I thought that was weird so I asked “did you just give her my points?” And she gave me this stare and said “yeah” so I said if I’m giving my points to anyone it’ll be my friend (who was standing behind me). The whole encounter was uncomfortable and Ulta people are allowed to not give you their information.
They were out of a lot of color shades in different brands
Associates here are so helpful in giving advice or finding items (and they have a huge variety!) I like coming here to find things that I can’t get at Sephora.
I love this store! And it doesnt have to be any one location. Ulta has super friendly staff and an awesome product selection no matter which store you go to. They carry a ton of cruelty-free products, which makes me happy. Plus, the salon service is quality and convenient.

I come here for their waxing services. I have my legs done regularly. Nicole is the best! She’s super nice, super fast, and always does a great job. They also have amazing hair stylists. Courtney is phenomenal at color and cutting styles! It’s become my one stop shop for everything beauty.
I had an awesome experience in the Canton store today. A manager was assisting me, but, understandably, began to be pulled into several different positions. Thats when Taylor came to ask if we needed anything.Shes very knowledgeable and friendly as well as helpful in getting me to what I was looking for. Ill look for her the next time I need help with anything.
Wife loves this place. She will not shop anywhere else for any of her hair and shampoo related items! Ive even started getting my hair products here and the prices are better than you will find at the salon and the selection is even better! I would definitely recommend.

Store is nice and maintained but if you are a woman of color like myself select a different location. The staff was clueless about foundation and concealers, it was more sad and disturbing. One of the consultants got upset when I corrected her and was right about it. I asked about other products and she pointed me to them instead of assisting me to help me locate the actual item. Instead of trying to sell and force me your promotional item, show me other options.I ended up finding everything I needed for myself within an easy 10-15 mins while all the employees walked right by me looking as if I was trying to take something instead of just asking to assist me!I gave 2 stars because I got what I needed and it the store was stocked and organized. The staff really needs work! You should make a customer feel welcome, respected and pretty when they walk in the store no matter age, sex and color!

I like the variety of products in Ulta but I no longer ask for help with makeup. The last time I was there I was telling the young lady what I wanted and she just kept pushing this other brand i do not really care for. As i walked around all the girls were doing the same thing. The young lady helping me was delightful and sweet and so funny.
I have gone to many different places to get my eyebrows done and every time theyd take off half of my eyebrows. I am so thankful i came to Ulta to get them done. Taylor at the benefit brow bar did an AMAZING job on my brows. Everyone in there was very nice. I will definitely be back.
Was in the store a gentleman was very nice he was doing store front hair curling. He did an amazing job. Showed me all the products to keep the look for the wedding I had next day.
I love Ulta. Unfortunately I dont have the same experience at each store. This is the first store that I came to that gave me excellent customer service. They helped me find the product I was looking for. Ive been back since and the customer service was great then too. Just dont go if youre trying to save money.

Worst experience Ive ever had!! I walked around looking for certain things. I was there for quite awhile, not 1 employee asked if I needed help. Several walked by me, people that just walked in were being asked if they needed help. I will NOT be coming back to this uppity place. Very disappointed Ulta 😔
Although the products are nice and store is well maintained. I have now been in this exact store three different times and days with different staff. They were not friendly or helpful and made you feel like an inconvenience asking for help. I literally FaceTimed a friend for help. Next time I will be driving to twelve oaks for my make up so disappointed.
Sales staff is great. Any question you have about skin care, hair care or make up someone in the store can help. Love it.

Who hires the awful sales people in the Ford Road, canton store. The employees stand around like coat racks. They are not helpful if you have a question. I tried for the LAST time. I’m going back to Macy’s!
Bought a gift set for $49 I spent over $200 I was so embarrassed when giving the gift it was missing 2 large products.. They Only option they gave me was to bring back the gift set with receipt after it being a gift it was extremely embarrassing no one will bring back a gift box that’s missing products I’m so embarrassed I thought more of the store

Went in to try the $10 facial for a little pick-me-up. The girl who does them essentially told me Id need to spring for at least a 30 minute session to see any results, that the cheapest one was really just for sampling the products. She made it seem like my skin was so bad that Id need some intensive treatment. I mean, I have some redness, but not much acne or anything. Besides, I made it clear that I was just there to try it out for fun. I reiterated that several times. She kept insisting that Id need to spend more, or it would be useless. So, I left without the service, and without the several other items I had intended to buy. Will not return if I can help it.

Looks like your typical Ulta inside. I only gave it three stars because each time I go there, they always seem to be out of the item Im looking for. I was able to order it and have it shipped directly to my house (no charge for shipping), but then I had to wait six days for it. Meh, dont love this particular store.
This location is ok. The employees are not very helpful so youre pretty much on your own. You have to look for someone to assist you and they all seemed to not be anywhere. Will not be returning.
1/5 stars I keep making the same mistake and coming back to this store hoping the staff will be better and the place will be organized. I asked an employee about a product and instead of assisting or referring me to someone, she said “no” and walked away. Again today, I went to check out and the service desk marked the price wrong and wouldn’t check on it. I went back and confirmed I was right about the price but decided not to follow with the check out since they’re unhelpful and condescending. I’m sticking to Sephora. This store is unkept with awful customer service.
Its beauty supplies... and some are a bit pricey. The store was a little messy, but the sales associates were AMAZINGLY helpful with two young girls trying to figure out what to do with a shiny new gift card!
I was in the store standing in front of the Bare Minerals display for 30 minutes. Not one person greeted me, made eye contact with me or asked if I needed help. I was trying to figure out which color foundation I needed because its a new formula. Now I understand that the plan maybe different from the rest of the store but there were three employees standing there, one was there the whole time and NEVER looked up from the computer. I was very disappointed in the customer service in here today. I will not be back to this location. I will be going to the Westland Mall location from now on.
Horrible location, manager was disrespectful and a complete idiot. Tried to charge us when doing an even exchange and her own worker even told her its the same product... tried to say maybe it’s taxed different, complete moron.

I went into this store on 11/8/2017. I figured I would try this location since the Westland store couldn’t meet my needs due to lack of customer service. Unfortunately this location wasn’t better! I was not greeted when I walked in. I walked by 2 employees who could not be bothered to acknowledge me. I walked out very dissatisfied.... even more so because I was a former employee at the Novi location. And this type of service is absolutely unacceptable!!
The staff never even say hello to me, I only go here when I need something asap. I was looking at a product and needed help yet staff in the area never asked even though they walked by many times.
Im glad other people who wrote reviews got good customer service, but my experience was terrible. One guy came up and asked if I needed help, I said yeah Im so bad at this(matching foundation colors) and he said ok let me know if you need anything and walked away. No one else ever acknowledged me and looked at me pushing my son in a stroller as if my stroller was a burden. Neither entering nor exiting the store did any of the employees just standing around offer to help me with the door. Not coming back.

This store definitely doesnt have the same stock as the Arborland store. There many items I couldnt find, and anything worth having was out of stock. I didnt see many testers out, so when I looked about there were a large number of open products and ruined packaging. I also couldnt find staff, there were people at the registers, and people in the salon but no one there to offer help throughout the store. the women in salon stared, and gave me this strange HS mean girl feeling. I was afraid to even approach them for help. I dont frequent this store, but this experience is one Id rather not have again.

Id give this place 5-stars if the staff were SLIGHTLY more knowledgable about the goings on in their own store. Half the time when I ask about something, especially a non-prestige brand, they dont have an answer/they dont know whats going on. If you ask about items in stock they get rude/huffy. A while back a featured item was the Tarte mascara. We arrived about 90min after the store opened and were rudely informed they were all out once we could FINALLY get someone to assist us.Also, itd be GREAT if this location would carry Estee Lauder. I havent found any Ultas around here that do, yet Lauder is always advertised in the catalogs we receive.
Not once but twice they have messed up my hair. This 2nd time my hair didnt even look diffrent but they managed to completly destroy and damage my hair to the point its not even fixable and charged me almost 200$ and wont even fix what they ruined. My hair is not red with strawberry highlights is orange with grey tips. The lady blamed my pregnancy for their mistake and sent me on my way. Will not be returning.

I only go to this ULTA for the Too Faced rep. (I think her name is Britney) who helps my daughter. Shes amazing! Shes so friendly and helpful but one of the managers at this store is seriously a beast. Shes a blonde with shoulder length hair and shes awful. Shes rude to customers if you dont buy what she recommends. We try to avoid her when we shop there. If were shopping for other products besides Too Faced we go to Novi.
Literally, just left this location 2 minutes ago. No one offered to help me. The pregnant gal standing at the Benefit displayed just pointed in the opposite direction. No one acknowledged me. I couldve been a Secret Shopper! The cashier wasnt very friendly either. We live in a time where businesses are Here today and shut down tomorrow!And lets face it there selling some of the same stuff as Wal-mart, CVS and Sephora. Ill never step foot in this locations again! Highly disappointed! The locations on the West coast are so much more pleasant.
