A Canton institution! Great coneys, soups, burgers, olive nut sandwiches, Tuna melts, among other things. Best vanilla ice cream ever, we go there just for their Vanilla ice cream, and thats not my go to ice cream flavor normally. We love their Buckeye Sundae and Chocolate Covered Cherry Sundae, worth a trip just for these. The kids love the Unicorn Sundae.

Brought my out-of-town niece and nephew here, used to come here as a kid when I lived in Canton. Great selection, friendly staff. Fast service and the tastiest ice cream and shakes!

Great ice-cream /diner. The baskets of fries and onion rings are more than you imagine for $4.00. Sandwiches are great. Of course you have to get some kind of ice-cream. It all looks great and all homemade.

Great ice cream at this place, with great prices. The business dates back to 1926. Appropriately, there are a few old-fashioned menu items, but there are also newer takes on the food as well. You will definitely get your moneys worth when it comes to the ice cream, between quality and quantity. The burgers are delicious, and the old fashioned fries are cooked perfectly. You will also find good service from friendly staff. I usually do the take out entrance, but for the dine-in I havent ever had a long wait.

A Canton institution. Its always good. Ask for the Biasella by name. Its on the secret menu. Mint chip, chocolate and strawberry ice cream topped with hot fudge, bananas, pecans and whipped cream.

Would not recommend using them via doordash. Took them almost an hour to prepare the food and then despite the doordasher delivering it in 5 minutes everything was cold.HOWEVER still giving 5 stars because when we went there to get ice cream it was AMAZING! Despite being in a not so safe area I felt very comfortable as they have a security guard at the front door throughout the night. Their ice cream is phenomenal with many flavors and the staff was beyond pleasant and helpful.

I went here recently with my daughter to get ice cream. I hadnt been here for a little over 15 years. Some places you go to need updates (it would just be nice). Not Taggarts! It is a timeless part of the communitys history. You know when you come here that the ice cream is going to be GOOD! Parking is minimal (street parking). There is no handicap parking, but VERY accessible to get in to Taggarts. The staff was very accommodating and patient as we gave them our order. Taggarts is located right in the middle of a residential area, but not far from I-77. It is a hidden gem! If you have a chance to the area, make sure you visit Taggarts!

In my experience, service was a little slow. I’ve also had better ice cream at a cheaper price. Employees were nice, and the restaurant was clean, but I think the quality of the product could be better. At least, don’t get the banana split parfait dish because the taste is disappointing.

Wow. Little corner shop weve never heard of before. We had just purchased a vehicle out this way and were unfamiliar with our surroundings but it was a nice day for some cold ice cream. I googled ice cream shops around me, and most were your regular chain type spots, so this popped up and we thought wed check it out. Even with no place to park but where ever you could grab it, so worth looking for a spot. We were greeted by a friendly face and seated immediately. I ended up getting their grilled chicken sandwich which although super basic on toasted white bread with a little lettuce and onion, super good ! To top that off, I got one scoop of chocolate and one scoop of *green* mint chocolate chip. Wow, it was that homemade ice cream where you could taste the little grainy particals and the flavor just lingered on your tongue until the next bite. What a great spot and so glad we went off the beaten path for this place before heading back home.

Ice cream is always great! Ordered through doordash. The order wasnt followed as requested. When ice cream flavor choice was given it wasnt followed. And ordered a well done burger and it was pink.

Stopped in to Taggarts today with a friend and ordered home-made, Blueberry Sorbet. It was fantastic and super cold. There is a large menu containing hot off the grill items, along with great signature desserts.Stop in if you are in the area, and worth the drive if you are not.

Giant sundaes and great service. Loved the feel of this neighborhood, family-spot. Great selection of sandwiches with a diner like feel. They probably dont encourage it, but it was cool to see guests notes scribbled into the booths. Our server was friendly, patient as we asked which sides came with the sandwiches and which ones were roasted (all) as well as very prompt with delivering the check when asked. They have a collection of tshirts for sale at the front of the boutique as well. Love!

Warm off-the-beaten-path sandwich nook with excellent homemade ice cream. Service was friendly and comfortable. Extensive selection of lunch-type food and appetizers. However, the dessert menu is the star. Everything is homemade. Park on the street and enter for a down-to-earth family eating atmosphere.

Waitress was rude. Didn’t come to check on us at all, didn’t ask how the food was. Gave us a check without asking if we were ready for it and we hadn’t even gotten our ice cream yet when the check was given. Had to tell her we ordered ice cream. Didn’t refill our drinks and handed the check again without asking if we needed anything else. We wanted more drinks and chocolate covered bananas but she said she’ll take it up (the check) anytime without asking if we needed anything else. Usually the place is good. This time not at all. Bad service

While I was in Canton at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, had to visit Taggarts. Hadnt been there in quite a while, but it was just as good as I remembered. Go for the fountain items, but their food is great too!

Amazing ice cream! Only wish they’d expand a bit so to get milkshakes wouldn’t have a 45 minute wait even with preordering. But it’s phenomenal!

This ice cream shop is exactly what it is... its iced flavored cream! Is freaken phenomenal! Couple table outside to sit so it can be dog friendly. I had to get my ice cream to go, but the ones they made for people dinning in had me drooling before I even tried it.

Nice place to stop while driving through! We got soup, mozzarella sticks, BLT and onion rings. For dessert we split the apple dumpling, wow! Excellent place to grab a bit and/or treat!

I stopped there with a friend. The service was very good and friendly. The food was delicious,I had a fish sandwich with fries.She had an olive nut sandwich,she,said was the best,we shared my fries.Each of us had their fresh brewed coffee.I would highly reccomend.They also have delicious ice cream.A treat to go there.

Although its fathers day 2021. All I went in for was a bittner. 45 minutes later waiting in line, I placed my order for a bittner with extra pecans.The counter staff was out for themselves. No organization, no team work. It was awful to watch, while waiting to place my lone bittner order.If it wasnt for the wonderful security officer working this evening, diligently trying to keep things moving, I would still be standing there.The WORST, my bittner was melted and not satisfying.Hey management, train those youngsters you have working out front. It should be streamlined.Just the worst customer service EVER!

The ice cream is delicious, with a wide variety of flavors, sundae options, toppings, and signature desserts. Definitely worth checking out Taggarts for dessert.

Never do i leave negative reviews anywhere, i work in the industry and have a distaste for this sort of thing. That being said, items were forgotten on my order, incorrect items in my order as well. Mistakes happen and I get it. What Im disappointed in was a service issue. We orderd a non-dairy item and it tasted rotten, it was totally inedible. When I brought this up after trying to get the rest of my order corrected i was told there was nothing they would do about it and sorry i dont like the ice cream. I said it wasnt that we didnt like it, it was that it tasted like it had gone bad, my order was wrong in multiple ways we had gone really far out of our way to try it. So I asked for my money back for specifically the item we werent going to eat. The dude that I am assuming was in charge of the gaggle of kids with the beard was rude, offered me nothing to replace it and basically told me too bad. Poor management, poor food quality, and awful service. Dont subject yourself to it and just go buy icecream at the grocery store.

World famous bitner milkshake. Which is a chocolate shake with pecans. You will get cravings for this. Food is ok. But Taggarts is most well known for their homemade ice cream and shakes. A Canton staple, this is certainly a worthy place to stop if you are visiting from out of town. Would recommend during daylight hours however as this place is in a rougher area for night time.

A great place for a quick lunch or dinner with options ranging from burgers to salads. Amazing deserts as well. Also rated best ice cream of 2017! The service was quick but make sure you get here early as it does become busy!

I admire what this place does by hiring young teenagers, however they need a lot more supervision and training! I watched a kid go to put the scoop of ice cream into a cup and it popped up his hairy arm and he rolled it right into my cup and still tried to serve it to me. I gladly declined that cup and requested someone else make it. They have no respect for masks nor any kind of respectable customer service. They have no regard for food sanitation or cleanliness. I am so sad to see this place make a turn for the worst. Altogether I have sadly stopped going here.
