Russell is the man. Solved fake main screen problems from malware and connection for messaging with a Pixel phone. Every one working in the store was extremely friendly and attentive to everyone coming in with issues!

Not excited with this experience. Not verizons fault though. Only 1 person allowed in the store per family. My wife and I went for phones contract is up on 5 lines. And the store is only letting 1 person in the store so we left. Best Buy is where we will purchase from.
Verizon is not customer oriented. They do not help to solve your phone issues. Their main focus is to sell you a new phone. Looking for another provider. Seriously set new service. It is always a very unpleasant experience. Synonymous with a vist to the dentist. However dentists visits are now less painful.
I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years. Today I went to the Carbondale Verizon store and was told they could not assist me with an upgrade. They had 5 people standing inside not following social distance guidelines but told me they could not assist me because its not the safest way. They recommended me to go to the Best Buy store. If I could give negative stars I would. If your staff dont feel comfortable with assisting people in store, they should not be working there. Your have 5 people standing around that are being paid to tell customers to go somewhere else?
The blond haired girl who worked today 1/18/2021 is lazy and dont want to do her job wanted us to contact the apple store for absolutely no reason because she didnt want to deal with the issue we was having.We asked for the manager and he took care of the situation sent me to a customer service representative who was more than happy to do the job they are there to do and the issue was fixed with the phone and was out of there within 10 minutes.I recommend asking for help from anyone else who works there other than her.She is just lazy and dont care about the customers tried to push the issue on apple because she was to lazy to do her job

Dustin Russell is the man. He is very smart. Quick to respond to all my questions and voncerns He solved a big mess. He is a problem solver but all the guys helped with phone numbers, etc. I will remain with Verizon because of the great customer service. The Carbondale store has excellent management. The store and all the employees are top notch.
Problems solved in 30min. The online verizon 4 days nothing fixed sure am glad in person service is open.
Some reps are better than others. Im nowhere near tech savvy, so I need help setting up when I get a new phone. Some reps are understanding, and are kind enough to help me. Others are real snots, and huff that Its simple. Its not that hard🙄 (Yes, eyeroll and all with at least 2 of them.)

The Verizon workers are very professional and helpful. They are cautious in light of COVID19 and have policies related to it. My only complaint is that one of these policies prevents them from transferring information from your phone to a new one now.
Live 45 minutes away, but for me it is always worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. I have spent more time than that on the phone trying to get things handled, which to me is always frustrating. Things are always handled better there. Theres less stress, and the people are friendly and seem to want to go the extra mile for you. Love it!
I just left the Verizon store in carbondale IllinoisI have never been treated so rudely in my entire life . My mother who is 81 years old and just had cancer surgery on her eye vand is not seeing so well as of yet needs my assistance in choosing a new phone because hers just died. The manager and I use that term loosely was nasty. I was told I could under no circumstances go inside to help her. When is said I have been a customer of verizon for as many years as they have been in existence the manager says to me I DONT CARE and walks away

I was greeted immediately upon entering the store, but the young lady who helped me could have been a little more into what she was doing. She looked like shed rather be somewhere else (I guess most people feel that way while working lol), never asking me any questions or ensuring that Ill know how to use the product I was buying. She never told me how to activate me phone, and while I didnt necessarily need that information, it left me wondering about the elderly and others without smart phone experience, not getting the help they would need to activate and get their device going. I ended up running into a snag with getting my phone going, and I had to call tech support. Why arent phones activated in the store anymore?
Only gave one star cause I had to. Verizon has decided customers dont need service. Store is closed to the public and all they do is come out to tell you every problem you are having is because of 5g and verizon is still updating systems. Can you hear me now, Im going to AT&T?

Wanted to buy new phones and they would not set them up. Not for sure why there is a store there because they have no customer service any more. Used to be a great store that the people were there to help you, not for sure if it is Verizon or this store, but AT&T is looking like a better option. At least the people do try to help...Joe
Your Employee Wendell needs some training in customer service. Strangest experience I have ever had with a company. My husband and I left there shaking our heads in disbelief at his actions. I dont expect to be scolded for a cracked screen. I am 60 not 15. Strange behavior is an understatement. I expect more, considering what I spend monthly with this company. Next time I will make sure I dont deal with him, I know you have great folks working there because I have dealt with them. You will lose some customers with Wendell. Manners are important. If I could it would be minus 5 stars,walked in and was greeted by the person that acted as if he was incharge and told we had 1person in front of us, after 45 minutes and being passed over at least 3 times ! We left and will be doing our business elsewhere.
Dont go!! Since COVID-19 you cant get it the front door. Loyal customers for years get treated poorly! Phone call waits are ridiculously long. Following guidelines, makes no sense to be kept out of store.

Not just terrible customer service, but zero customer service, other than they (Sales Rep and Store Manager) recommended I contact Apple direct to gain access to my iPhone or buy a new phone. I immediately drove to the Verizon store in Marion. They assisted me and got me back in my phone in less than 3 minutes. Marion Verizon store 5 Stars!

Staff Is unaware of inventory and products not hard to be aware of them especially in a town of 300 people not enough clients for them to be unaware. Workers work shlugish are EXTREMELY slow. It took a staff member by the name of Maya. almost an hour to check me out and get my products the store was nearly empty. Literally walked like she had glue on her shoes. Verizon please train your staff appropriately they are wasting your money and you are loosing profit.
As soon as they found out we were not purchasing anything my son was handed a pamphlet and told to call the 1-800 number. He explained that he could not get into the phone and they told him to call the 1-800 number. I asked what it would cost for an upgrade to the IPhone 7 and the attitude changed to being helpful. WOW talk about greedy service.

I wish I had never went there, the atmosphere was chaotic and loud. Associate that helped me really didnt know what he was doing, he got all the paperwork done and he gave me my hotspot and then when I got home I couldnt use it. so I had to go back to the store and I ask for the manager and she looked at it and come to find out it wasnt activated. I paid $153.64 to get started .. Now Im set to pay 69.08 a month for five gigabyte of data. I think thats excessive. There needs to be a more reasonable way of having a hotspot. It is eating at me . I may go back to Verizon outlet and drop this contract. I could only imagine how much its going to cost me to get out of this contract, what a nightmare ! Michael Ripley
Sales people will give incorrect information (yes, this phone will be fully refunded by credits on your bill) just to keep the sale. Go to best buy for same products and better service.
Its my carrier. They cover more places than anyone else. AT&T is a close second.
Be sure to sign up for all of the extra insurance & extended warranties that are suggested to cover absolutely everything! After you inevitably break your excessively fragile overpriced apple device, head on in to this store so they can now for the first time tell you about your $200 deductible & give you a card with a number for assurion as they can do nothing for you in the store. You can now spend the next several hours dealing with annoying paperwork (printing, scanning, faxing, etc...) Be sure to call the store and ask the person who sold you your phone some questions about it as this number will never lead you to this actual store.
It was good to look at phones, but they couldnt give me the deal I wanted and knew was reasonable from others experiences. I called Verizon who worked with me much better than the store and gave me a better deal than I was asking for at the store.
I was having a problem syncing my new Fitbit with my phone. After spending two days on the phone with Fitbit to no avail, I brought it to the Verizon store in Carbondale, IL, and Steve fixed it for me in a short time. He was very nice, very knowledgeable, and I couldnt be happier with his excellent customer service. This kind of service is why we have our phones with Verizon.

My experience at the store runs the gamut and today was better than usual so Im happy. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, returned a charger I didnt need and got full credit to my account and got a replacement phone ordered which will arrive by tomorrow evening so Im pretty pleased
I like a few people here, they are nice and quick to help regardless if your are going to purchase an item or not. But the others I have encountered only really care if your are buying a product and they are not very patient.
Knowledgeable staff and pretty decent customer service. Just make sure you get any discounts and incentives applied to your purchase BEFORE finalizing your purchase.

I spent 2+ hours at Verizon to upgrade the phone plan. They never did cancel the phone line I asked to have cancelled. They set-up the bill to be emailed without my permission. They told me the wrong price for the new contract.This store sucks. Go to best buy.

For years I have dreaded the trip to Verizon for any reason. It always seemed like they were being dishonest about...everything. this past trip however was very different. The associate that helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful, he turned around years of loathing Verizon and for that I thank him.

Ive been to 6 different locations for Verizon but Carbondale needs a new staff or they need to be retrained on how to treat costumers and how to do their job they dont know how to do much of anything. Sad just sad, hopefully a manager Sees this posts and takes it seriously.

Needs workers, lady trying to help didnt in Carbondale was there over 2 and lay was helping 3 people at, then disappeared never came back. Guy said he could help then he started helping 2 other that came in long after I did finally lady with very short hair cut I ask her if she could help, she did. Didnt take but about 2 min . Thanks to her. Girl in D.Q. office was no help but other lady would be back in March. After matematernity leave. Just go figure. Not good and we have 5 phones.
Wow -- I went to give this incredibly worthless store a negative review, and found out I already did from my last visit over a year ago! And I rarely give reviews! Ill just edit to comment: Its obvious that any 5 stars are from the employees themselves.New store, same worthless staff (especially the manager). If they wont make a commission, they will not help -- bottom line. Youre better off dealing with corporate over the phone -- both times I had issues the store wouldnt help, even though they clearly could (corporate apologized on their behalf and mailed me new phones). Only a matter of time before the entire staff is replaced with competent people.

Went in twice in the same day (90 minutes of waiting) and once the next day (30 minutes of waiting) to speak to different levels of management on Note 7 Recall. They wouldnt take my phone because I didnt buy it there. I was left with a phone that tells me to turn it off immediately or risk it catch fire/explode.
I was having an issue with my phone and was worried it would take a long time to get sorted out but the staff members were quick, straightforward, and helpful.

I refuse to ever go to this place again the employees were rude unhelpful and very very much not helpful to me and anyway in fact I left there not only with a discount I was promised by Verizon but I left with my phone screwed up because of something in their store and I had to re-buy my phone just to solve that problem in Belleville Illinois and then I waited 2 and 1/2 hours almost 3 hours up there so Verizon you need to get your stuff together and a little bit more coordinated Ive been with you guys 11 years and the past two years have been nothing but problems one right after another Ive spent over probably 72 hours if not more in the past two years on the phone with issues

Just came from Verizon Wireless Carbondale....and the new store fails!I came in to buy a car charger and asked the girl where the cashier is since I didnt need to see a service person since I know what I wanted....she insisted to but me in her little list since five people were before me....five that would take an hour for them to pick there color of phone....their plan they would want....and all the other aspects ....I had money in hand to pay for something two feet away. and be gone....nope!
Went in to pick up a phone I purchased online. Only waited about 5 minutes, checkout was very quick, and the person who helped me out was very friendly.
Ill adjust it accordingly, but I opened my account a month ago and since then Ive had two getting ready to be three S7 edges the first was great no complaints but had a broken speaker in the earpiece and took it in to the store they were gonna swap it out for a brand new one but somehow or other I still dont understand this one the lady couldnt find my account even though I gave her my phone number, needless to say they couldnt swap out the phone because they said I bought it from an indirect store now I know what that means but bought it from a Verizon store who didnt show it was an indirect store so I got the refurbished one which means and they can tell you all they want about the 100 point scale they use to fix the phone,I know the deal I work for Asurion which is the insurance for Verizon and if I bought a refurbished one Id expect a refurbished one back but if I buy a new one I expect a new one back but thats not in their policy....Well see how this turns out, I will keep you posted....UPDATE: Well as I expected the person who tried to help me at the corporate store in Carbondale Illinois is as inept as I thought...A lie to my face saying it would be overnighted by FEDEX was a lie and it was sent out for a two day delivery.....I think (He) needs to find a different job because he obliviously sucks at this one.....IF I COULD GIVE A LOWER SCORE I WOULD BUT IT ONLY GOES DOWN TO ONE STAR. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE VERIZON STORES IN MARION AND CARBONDALE ILLINOIS, THEY JUST SHOW UP TO COLLECT A CHECK AND THATS IT.....UPDATED UPDATE : Are you kidding me ? after giving the so called representative my correct address because Im in Illinois helping out my elderly mother my refurbished phone was sent to my residence in Arizona after I gave him my address in Illinois.....as soon as I find out what it takes to get out of this contract Im getting out, its not brain surgery to do this job but I guess you get what you pay for which isnt a whole hell of a lot....STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!
