No one around to ask anywhere. Was looking all over for the doggie pads that were on sale. After going around the dogs and cats aisles AT LEAST ten or more times, I finally found them in the very back right hand corner of the store. I dont believe my time was worth it to save a dollar. I wont be going there again for these for sure. Its a lso dark and dingy in the store. They sure need to upgrade their floors and shelves. I think they were lucky to even get two stars.

Not a bad store. Theres a lot there really. Decent prices. The kids love seeing the chicks and rabbits when theyre available. Abysmal parking lot though. Truly, just plain horrible.

Rural King is 1 of my most FAVORITE STORES to shop. They literally have everything, from clothes, food, shoes/boots, housewares, home improvement, gardening/farming, pet supplies & vet care products from large to small animals. Health & beauty, hunting/fishing necessities, toiletries. What other store can you go buy a fuzzy blanket and a chicken at the same time!!! If you havent been to your local Rural King, youre most definitely missing out yall... And the restroom is CLEAN

I needed stuff on my list. Dog food, 🐔 food, 🐈 supplies, sporting ammo, fishing stuff, nuts and berries...that kind of stuff. Everything is there. One stop shopping. Anything they dont have in stock they can order. Better than not finding it. Great that they are open with all the problems going on, pandemic and all. It was good.

Great place! A little bit dark, though, and youll have trouble finding boots if youve got small feet. Nothing against the store though, lots of friendly people inside!

I love the store the only thing that stopped from 5 stars is some of the night time employees arent very friendly.

Very cluttered aisles & narrow. Crowded with customers. Floor sales people arent always sure where to find items, but arent afraid to tell you & will ask another floor person where you might find the item/s & will take you to the exact location where item is, unless they dont sell it.

Love them for ammo. Just wish youd get some .410.

The store was messy and unorganized. The work boot selection for women was atrocious and severely lacking in options.

So, its a farm store...with firearms. This particular store has a nice selection of everything. Has different firearms than the other local rural kings. But the building is a little cluttered, and is certainly a dump. You almost feel like youre in an old flee market. Workers seemed nice and helpful though I didnt have much interaction. Rural king definitely needs to update their building though.

Went in to buy a .380 Taurus. Had my paperwork done in minutes go back Monday for pickup.

The store was a disaster. Stock all over the floors. Asked two associates where to find what I was looking for, and both of them gave me incorrect directions. I never found what I was after. This is the first time I have ever had a bad experience at any Rural King store, including this one. I love their stores, and their associates are typically very helpful. Not so much, tonight.

Helpful staff and just about everything you need for home and land.

All kinds of finds in this store for your home or farm. It isnt the cleanest, most organized store you will ever visit, but the employees are nice, and willing to help. Bathrooms are terrible. Merchandise is usually stocked and priced. They do sell guns and ammo and other fishing and hunting gear. Parking lot is a bit crowded and can be a tight fit for bigger trucks and SUVs, but you can park a little farther away to avoid issues.Overall prices are fair, selection is decent, and variety of departmental concepts is pretty good. If youve never been, stop in and get some free popcorn and coffee and walk around. You might even leave with some live chickens!

You can find everything you need at rural king. Its one of my favorite stores to go to. Customer service is always good and they offer several quality products.

Find many items I need and some I dont need but decide I want. Very helpful and conscientious staff. Especially enjoy the sound of the live chicks and watching them.

Our Rural King is a great store for finding things you cant find in other stores and usually finding them cheaper. We get our dog food there and its cheaper than Walmart. Id been looking for a certain box of decaf tea, out of stock in grocery stores for a month. This Rural King had it! I used to feed the birds wild bird seed, but it was messy and attracted mice and snakes plus wed get volunteer plants growing under the bird feeder. I switched to suet cakes. The birds love them and we no longer get piles of seed under the feeder. Rural King offers way better quality suet cakes for almost half the price of Walmart. Lastly, they have knowledgeable people to help when you need it.

Better than anywhere for paint etc

Cut down 3 stars to 1 because there weekly ads for deals are no longer competitive to Lowes weekly by a large margin. Even with RKs 5% cashback store card, it is still not worth the price difference. Also, they probably dont have what you need anymore. They are starting to stock the cheapest things in quality but not in price. Its a shame, its starting to look pretty bad inside aswell. What happened?!

Went there yesterday to purchase a Christmas gift for my father. Had to wait until today to pick it up because it would not fit in my car. Specifically asked 2 associates if I paid for it yesterday if I could pick it up today. They both said yes I could do that and they would put a tag on it saying it was sold. Then my mother went to go pick it up today and at first they tried loading the wrong one. Then when she said it was the wrong one . Mind you it was someone else’s they loaded the first time. They then told her that they had sold it. She asked for a refund and they said it would be a week before she got the refund . When she asked why they said it is because we paid with a check. She told them no and then they gave her the refund. So not only did they sell it they said we had to wait a week for a refund. Definitely will not be going back to Carbondale Rural King.

Couldnt find what I was looking for, and they wouldnt give out free masks, but I was able to walk in and buy one without being stopped or not allowed in. Very friendly staff

Great store, new employees may not be super familiar with the stock, but the regulars are. Regardless everyone is very helpful, they have the best pet food prices anywhere, and are very proactive with covid requirements.

I love me some Rural King, but this store is poorly run. The isles are a fire hazard, many things are not priced, sometimes mispriced, and the store is always a mess. Went in to buy a large bar chainsaw and a top handle chainsaw for limbing trees. While they had both in stock, it took me quite a while to get someone who had a pricing list. And while he was as helpful as anyone could be I had to take pictures of what they had because only one saw had a tag on it with product information so I had no idea what each saws hp, bar sizes, displacement, weights etc. I had $1000 in my pocket and planned on walking out with two saws. Carry cases, bar oil, extra chains etc. No sale for the Carbondale Rural King.

Rural King has done away with the main reason I shopped here...for the nuts and bolts section. Now it seems the tool section is being cleared out as well. Ace will now get the majority of my business.

Great store! Has everything outdoor and farm related. All kinds of clothing that you could possibly want and need for working outside. They also carry some non-perishable food items. Also electrical, plumbing, and oil. Will definitely return for all my outdoor needs.

This place needs better lighting. Many of the aisles are very dark and you can barely see whats on the shelves. Many of the LED fixtures dont work and the ones that do are dim, especially around the electrical and automotive products.

I like the product but most items are not priced, and the staff are not very friendly or helpful about finding prices. Carbondale location is real bad and Murphysboro not as bad . Makes it the last place I shop when looking for certain items

Convenient alternative to Lowes if not fairly disorganized. Usually crowded. Some of the employees were helpful and friendly some were painfully ignorant of their inventory.

Great all around store

Free popcorn! That and good deals on clothing, pet supplies, cleaning products, automotive products and they have a nice gun section. One of the few places I was able to get 22 short ammo for an antique rifle.
