Great, friendly service and these strawberries were amazing! The Strawberry Sunday is a must have! You can’t go wrong with the Strawberry Shack Shake either. Definitely coming here any chance I get when I’m in Carlsbad.

Strawberry-focused dessert spot in Carlsbad. There’s a location in the flower fields as well. Came here on a Sunday post-lunch, and it was a short wait. Credit cards are accepted and there’s street parking available. The location itself is a small shack where you order at one counter and pay, then pick up your food at the adjoining window. There’s a Starbucks next to the shack in case you miss it. They’re open during covid for takeout and you can purchase other shack-centered products there as well.All the menu offerings are focused on strawberries, which was a neat concept. Unfortunately the strawberry lavender sundae I ordered did not have any lavender jelly, so I effectively had a more expensive strawberry sundae. The custard tasted like a typical vanilla frozen yogurt from a university dining hall, and the dessert itself was pretty small (good for one person, not so much for splitting with others). The strawberries were sweet and had a thick syrup, and there were a couple of small chunks of Angel food cake in the sundae. The worker gave an option of adding whipped cream or not and was pretty quick about assembling it. Overall, I might have come on an off day, but I was underwhelmed by my order.

If your love sweets and or strawberries then this is a must stop

If you love strawberry this is your place! If you want a variety go to Handel’s because you won’t find crazy flavors here. Strawberry custard and basic vanilla ice cream... so yummy! They also do have the pineapple dole whip and the strawberry version. They use fresh strawberries and it’s very refreshing on a hot day.

Strawberry shortcake is the right balance of shortcake, strawberry, sauce, and ice cream! Strawberry milkshake was also excellent and not overly artificial tasting like others you may have tried.

I just got the strawberry shake and it was amazing!! Didnt taste like normal fake strawberry flavored shakes. So excited to come back and try more.

I had a strawberry sundae, it was the less complex option on the menu but it was delicious. The strawberries in the syrup tasted fresh and the custard was not too sweet and hits just right spot.

This place offered a real strawberry shake. It was really tasty. Their pudding is also really good. Its homemade and comes with fresh strawberries on it.

I heard great things about the strawberry shack! I had a very mixed experience. My spouse purchased the strawberry cheesecake! Very delicious and rich! I have always loved strawberry with angel food cake, so I decided to try it. The whole thing was a watery mess! The sponge of the cake was soaked in strawberry juices.. so mushy. The strawberries were old. I should of taken it back, but I was in a hurry.

My husband, friends, & i tried stopping there one night, stood there for at least 10minutes discussing about what we would like to order, then went up to the window to order for them to tell us they were closed. while we were standing there discussing what toorder the employees inside made eye contact with us & failed to inform us they were closed. horrible customer service & they lost probably hundreds of dollars in sales because by the time they told us they were closed there was a line of about 10 other people. won’t be taking my business there again.

I saw this place one time as I was driving thru Carlsbad. I thought to myself, “That looks different.”I finally came by after walking through the Farmers Market. I met Paulina, who gave me a sample of their strawberry dole whip, which was super good!!I decided to get this strawberry milkshake, which was very very good. I will definitely be back. This is one of those spots I’d take one of my dates to grab something fun to drink while we walk the beach or the shops.

The perfect place to eat anything strawberry. Highly recommend visiting to get your strawberry fix.

Very delicious, my family and I have been several times and each dessert has been awesome!

I ordered the strawberry pudding and the flavor was so overwhelmingly delicious as I had not eaten strawberries for years due to allergies. My family and friends ordered the strawberry malt and strawberry short cakes. Everyone commented that the items were surprisingly tasty without the sugary syrupy taste you get from inferior ingredients used by other establishments. The staff very friendly and kind.🤗

What a quaint, unique place right in the heart of Carlsbad Village. The owner truly puts his heart and soul in creating desserts that simply can not be duplicated anywhere else. The portions are robust wirh pricing that is comforting to the wallet. Look for the scrumptious changing seasonal options they will have you coming back again and again. But worry not the favorites remain as well. So the next time you crave something different, this is it. Guarantee this will not be our last visit nor likely yours.

Great experience. Delicious strawberry treats. Great service. I had the strawberry lavender sundae. Wow. So good. My wife had the steawberry swirl cone. She raved about the taste and smoothness. Recommend highly. We will be back.

I got the strawberry milkshake special item featured in the Carlsbad magazine! It was so yummy, I will be getting another one before I leave my vacation.
