We have had doors from Newman Windows for over ten years. The doors are beautiful but they started sticking. Newman windows (Millard) sent out a team of two awesome guys and our doors open so easily and they even fixed the loose handles and fixed some weather stripping. Customer service like this just doesn’t happen anymore!! Thank you, Newman windows!! Amazing company!!

Update: Owner reached out to me and helped me to get the issue window replaced in a timely manner. I appreciate his attention to the matter and now have two properly working windows. Thanks!Original issue:I had 2 windows installed in May by Newman. One was missing the hand crank, so they came back to install that the following month. Upon opening the window for the first time we learned that it would not close correctly and had to be forcibly closed from the outside. There is also a grinding noise in the gear area This was the first use of the window and when I informed Newman (many calls and emails were required to get any sort of help), they filed a warranty claim with Milgard. Milgard came out and reglazed the windows, however this did not fix the issue. I then had to make multiple new calls to Newman (good luck getting a call back) before I finally convinced a manager to come look at the problem. He came out and adjusted the window, which fixed the problem for about 2 weeks. Since then I have had zero luck getting anyone on the phone. Kelly in the service department will not return any calls and is always away from her desk or busy. I have tried emailing as well with no luck. So, now its 5 MONTHS later and I have a brand new window that doesnt operate correctly. I informed Newman through messages left via email and voicemail that I would be writing a review as well as contacting the BBB unless I received a call back with next steps to get the issue resolved. Well that was a week ago and I have not received a call back... so here is my review. Next step will be contacting BBB and if necessary small claims court. This is not the way to treat a customer, and a company should stand behind their service and the products they sell. Beware of hiring Newman for any window replacements.

Newman Replacement Windows are the best hands down. From their salesman to the installation staff, they did great professional work. They had some installation challenges but quickly overcame them. Their foreman stopped by to make sure everything was going smoothly, which it was.My neighbors have used different companies and realized that they paid more for the same windows and got poor service as well. Go with Newman, you wont regret it.

This is the 3rd Time over 20 years we have obtained windows and doors from Newman Carlsbad, CA. This time kudos Dakota our sales rep, very professional and customer friendly. Then the interfaces with other staff all very positive. The install team of Danny and Eddie were perfect. They work seamlessly, quick and thorough and also very customer friendly. Not one spec of dirt or old windows were seen. People like this are what makes a customer return to a company like we have. Thank you.

Newman replaced all the windows in my 1991 home. They will be the only window and door company that I will use for any future project. The sales person was great in communicating and setting up my window replacement. The office communicated a date, and the company came on the designated date and completed the work in the time frame specified. They are a company that says what they are going to do and then delivers exactly what they promised. The price was also very competitive with others window replacement window companies. I give a high recommendation to Newman. They are great.

Very professional. Everything was according to the contract/schedule.Installers were clean, friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had. Installation was quick and well done. They had one small problem with a crank window in the kitchen and Milgard, the window manufacturer was quick to come and fix it and one of the other larger windows arrived with a cracked frame and it was quickly replaced. I would highly recommend Newman to anyone who asked and I will go out of my way to point my neighbors in the direction should the opportunity to do so arise. Thank you for a job well done.

We have been extremely disappointed with the service from Newman Windows & Doors. They repeatedly tried to schedule the installation of our 14 Milgard windows and sliding door before all the ordered windows and screens were in their possession. We understood that delivery of the windows from Milgard to Newman might be delayed due to extenuating circumstances caused by Covid. We explained that our house would look ridiculous with both old and new windows in the front, it would be too hot if windows were installed without screens (we do not have air conditioning), and it would be easier to schedule installation just once for the entire job. When Newman called to schedule the installation for August 19, 2021, we again repeated that we only wanted installation scheduled if all items were in their possession. We were assured that all 14 windows and screens were in their possession and would all be installed on August 19th.The installation team arrived and quickly removed all our old windows. It was only later that we discovered that one window was missing, three screens were missing, and one screen was defective.After speaking with the Installation manager and the Office Manager, I was told they would try to make us a temporary screen for one of the windows and would call and let me know ASAP when we could expect the missing items. As of today, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.I have never written a review for a service but so now, hoping that if Newman sees this they may be motivated to respond.They have lost our trust and I would not recommend them unless you dont mind having the front of your home showcase 2 completely different types/colors of windows and you are fine living in a very warm home in the summer months.

Very happy with job and warranty work. The new double panes are energy efficient and reduce noise. Newmans was efficient and worth the cost. Would use this company again.

Staff here were nothing but professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. I believe Kendra was the name of who I interacted with, she was amazing. As we spoke I noticed all other staff were just as pleasant with other interactions. Would recommend when shopping for your windows and an install team trained in how to do the job right the first time.

I tried to get a quote but their sales manager couldnt do it and said he was off tomorrow. I basically had to beg them for a quote and they were double the competition and told me this story how that was their cost. Haha bunch of wanna be salesman over here price gouging people

Great Quality Windows and a very decent price. I had 3 windows replaced by Newman Windows, great service and friendly staff.

Spent $18k on two high end triple slide La Cantina doors. Newman screwed up sizing the doors, ordering them too small. Zero help after months of back and fourth. Buy your windows and doors someplace else. Horrible customer service. After a month of attempting to reach the manager I was finally told he no longer worked with Newman. No one followed up. Lots of time and money wasted by ordering through them. You guys 100% have a responsibility for sizing a door correctly with a flush sill, something you definitely know how to do. I ordered new windows for entire house and gave you a lot of business. The owner tells me people order a flush sill door sticking up 2 inches off the floor all the time 😂 Totally dishonest people.

They swapped out 4 of our single pane windows for dual pane. Great service. Punctual. Work was completed well by their installers. I would definitely use them again.

Bob came to our house to meet with me and quote what we needed, he was very respectful and knowledgeable. Pricing was great and installation was clean and quick. I highly recommend Newman Windows for all your window needs.

Once again disappointed! Called that our window screen was ready for pickup, only to arrive at their Carlsbad location and told they couldnt find it!!!! Are you kidding me....granted, we made a special trip from the Scripps Ranch area to pick it up. The product they sell Milgard Windows is Great. However, Newman Windows and Doors has me wondering how they stay in business. Enough said, good luck working with them.

I went to the Newman showroom the other day to look at different options to replace the windows in our home in Encinitas. The team did a great job of explaining the benefits of different styles of replacement windows. Window Technology has approved a lot since my house was originally built. I will be getting new windows installed in early December, looking forward to better insulting windows and lowering my heating bill this winter.

Excellent Customer Service, Beautiful windows, But they forgot to Pull Permits.. A city inspector saw the new windows and now its up to me to remove these beautiful windows. Not fair that Newman Says its not their problem.. i will be calling the California Contractors Licensing Board and filing a formal complaint. i will also report them on social media for putting the burden on me of pulling permits, even though Newman is a licensed contractor.. Be careful before hiring these guys.Make sure they pull permits, its a California Law, You Must pull permits for even retrofit windows. Not Fair Mr Richard Newman.. Not fair.
