Upon trying to open my garage door this morning, I noticed that one of my springs was broke, so the door wouldnt open. We called Hamilton Garage Doors of Westfield after our garage door stopped pulling the door up or putting it down. They promptly came out and figured out the problem. They gave us an estimate to repair the 25 year old garage door open vs the price of a new opener. We chose to invest in a new opener. They returned the following week installing the new opener and removing the old one within an hour. A few days later we left an after hours message because the opener did not have power after it was raised. We received a return call the next morning providing simple instructions to fix the problem. Our garage door came off the tracks because it got caught up in junk stored near by. The outdoor temperature was 17 degrees and our house is old enough that the main water line comes through the garage. We called Hamilton garage because they have provided general maintenance on the garage door prior; we explained our situation and concerns that the weather would freeze our pipes. We were put on the schedule for that same afternoon.They guys fixed the door and charged a extremely reasonable rate. And they were able to make it early!! My 18 year old two car garage door had wobbly rollers. The door would sometimes reverse and open during the closing process. Same day service with new nylon rollers was $185 total (service call & parts). They said only lube occasionally with WD-40, no grease. I am very happy.

He replaced an old (circa 1983) wooden garage door for both of us. My property is a rental property in a condo community. We had to adhere to some HOA guidelines, which Mike helped us do. My next door neighbor decided that he also liked the estimate, so Hamilton Garage Doors came out today to replace both doors simultaneously. They arrived on time and went quickly and efficiently to work. I sat outside in my car so I could monitor progress. I was impressed with how smoothly all the work was done by these courteous professionals. We had new openers and keyless keypads installed also and everything was clearly explained and demonstrated. If you have a smart home, dont just ask them if their garage motor is alexa enabled, because he will say yes and youll have to buy a hub to Connect them. Thats what I have to go do now. I asked like 10 times and since Matt was very kind and trustworthy I didnt bother to check. Ask the name of the product and do a Google search to see if it will be compatible with your smart home. I wasnt sure if he wasnt familiar with smart appliances but after calling and asking him to swap it out with an alexa enabled product he mansplained like I dont understand smart appliances or apps and wanted to charge me labor fees to come back and give me what I specifically asked for in the first place. He kept insisting that it works with alexa and it doesnt. Its not Alexa enabled, there is no skill for her to learn like he said. Im really disappointed because he was so cool and nice and now I just feel like I was swindled.

Got where we needed to be, but I had to keep asking. The price was reasonable & the response time was quick. But on his way out, the tech told me the problem with the opener was a $100+ part and would require another $100+ service call; only when I pressed the issue & again described the problem did he call his boss, who told him to check the (much cheaper) capacitor, which turned out to be clearly blown. Once that was sorted out, he fixed it quickly. If I hadnt asked again, wouldve cost a lot more to not get it fixed.
