I called multiple times during available store hours and nobody had picked up at all. I called and visited the actual building and I had noticed there was an employee leaving the door and going into his car too leave. He was a couple feet from us and we had called him, and asked for help and he had looked at us and completely ignore me. And left. Worst customer service ever. I will never go here again. Thanks for nothing.
Victor at the carol stream location is the best. He recharged and installed the old battery into my car. He also tested it. Great service!! Left happy!
Nobody wants to help you here. They all pretend customers arent there and try and look busy in the back. Rude on the phone. Wont do a battery test if its drizzling.
Its said u guys close at 7pm but the employ never pick up phone and closed the store at 6.00.we called him he ignored us.
Very helpful people. They were out of the battery I wanted for my car, so they helped me go online to order from another store applying all the discounts I was eligible for. After picking the battery they installed it form me since the other store didnt provide installation services. Justin was very professional and helpful.When Justin realized their system was not updated to accept the core return right then, he offered to process the credit later himself so that I didnt have to wait around in the store. It turned out he didnt get to it for some days and I had to remind him. But with all the great services I got, I didnt mind this little mishap at all.

March 2018: I went in on a busy Saturday morning but was still given incredible help by a young man named Justin. I had a million questions and he politely answered all of my rookie questions.My battery connectors were badly corroded to the posts and would not come off. It must have been 5 times that Justin came out to the parking lot and asked me how it was going and told me tricks to loosening the connection, getting the corrosion off and patiently explaining what to do.You will not meet a more knowledgeable and helpful associate than Justin. Advance Auto on Geneva Road is where I will go when I have auto needs in the future! Justin will treat even rookies with the utmost respect and kindness even if it is a crazy busy Saturday morning.Updated 9/21/18: My brother in laws battery was dead. I started to call around to different places to price check but then I remembered how helpful Justin, the store manager is. Instead of price checking other parts stores and mechanics I went back to Advance Auto where Justin treats the customer with great kindness and is incredibly helpful. Instead of simply saying your battery is dead, buy a new one he explained how hed like to test it to rule out other problems. He called me after charging it for 5 hours and said the battery was indeed the problem and told me about my different battery options. Instead of trying to sell me on an unnecessarily higher priced battery he explained why Id be okay with the more affordable option. I trust Justin and he is incredibly patient with those who are learning. I probably wont go anywhere else for auto parts. Thank you for your help Justin! Ill be back.
Rude people. If you like jumping through hoops to get a warranty part replaced come here. Be ready for arguments and to replace other parts (under warranty as well) before they will replace the one that is actually needed.
Fix your angry employee. When I first came here to get a new starter, the customer service was amazing. I picked up my online order with no hassle and the cashier was super friendly. It was when I came back to get my core charge for my old starter that the service plummeted. I mistakenly came a few minutes after they closed (6:03) and met the employees right at the door. I apologized, but they insisted that they would still be willing to help me anyways. But the old blonde lady(didnt catch her name) who was sent back LITERALLY threw her head back and stormed inside. When I asked if it was still okay, because I was willing to come back later, her coworkers excused her tantrum by awkwardly laughing it off and told me that it still was. When I brought the part in, she was FUMING before I even spoke to her. It only got worse when she found out I didnt have the box or receipt. I didnt have the box because the mechanic threw it away, but I had the part number and I didnt have my receipt because I wasnt planning on coming here earlier (and I would have been okay with going home for it if I came during store hours). She only complained about how I didnt have what I needed instead of telling me what I needed to get my charge later. I didnt bother explaining anything because I didnt want to waste any more of her time, so I just took my starter and left. I dont know why she was so rude if I wasnt rude to her, never demanded to be serviced AND when it was her coworkers that even let me come here in the first place. I also checked the time as I left the door---6:05. She could just have asked if I had the box or receipt before she threw her fit over staying two minutes longer.
I usually like going to advanced auto but when I came here one of the guys who worked here criticized my choice of going elsewhere. Not much of a salesman. However, the one who helped me was nice and helped me cancel my order.
The guy Chris that works here is a super nice guy. Really helpful and smart. This place will get all my business thanks to Chris.
Kyle is a great counter guy. Exactly what this store needed. Quick responsive and car back on the road with new battery in under 20 minutes.

Since Aimee and her crew have been gone this location has gone down. The staff isnt very knowledgeable when it comes to cars/trucks. They cant even answer simple questions about parts and what they are or how they work. In every parts store there has always been someone that knows at least the simple mechanics of parts and what theyre for. Instead I get stared like I have 8 eyes, with one girl staring at me with her mouth gapped wide open. Finally the 3rd guy could tell I was frustrated and dumbfounded that not one of them had any knowledge about cars/trucks and parts, and offered to do diagnostics for me. I get that not everyone knows every in and out of cars but they should at least have the general knowledge or have them get training.
Excellent service. Even when It was thought I might have to go on the internet for my phone holder. Great place!!!

I walked in and was greeted right away with a smiling face, that said hello. Which is very rare nowadays. The gentleman was helping someone at the counter, but did say he would be with me in a moment. I was helped right away, the gentleman had me in and out of there in about 5 minutes.
Great place to buy parts from, the work force there is very nice if you ever need any questions answered they are very knowledgeable. Ask for Justin (manager) and Matt B.

Any time I use this store they go out of their way to resolve any problem I have. Sue is the person I normally deal with and shes the best.
My suggestion? STAY FAR AWAY from this store. The asbestos levels in the store are 35-100x what the EPA recognizes as safe. Employees are surly and unhelpful--you are usually being overcharged for parts while the extra money goes directly into the salespersons pocket.They treat employees terribly--they are rarely, if ever, paid.Do yourself a favor and go to NAPA next door--true professionals who will not rip you off. Plus you wont have to deal with Sue--the most ignorant person on Earth whom CQ has fronting their counter!If you like to be ripped off, by all means give CarQuest a visit. If you want quality parts that are correct for your vehicle--go to NAPA (right next door) or OReilly.You have been warned.
