99 Ranch Market is definitely intended to be a grocery store. Outside of spices and ingredients, it doesnt have as many unique goods and snacks as other Asian markets in the area. However, I was able to find some of my favorite foreign goods that I hadnt been able to find in the other Carrollton stores! Overall it was a clean and comfortable venue to shop in.
06/16/21 A Taiwanese store with mostly anything you need for most of your Asian cooking/grocery needs. Store is usually organized and clean. They have weekly and weekend specials, so check out their website for deals. Service is typical of most Asian stores, so no one is especially helpful or available to help. Check out lines aren’t always fast, so expect to wait.
I know I give a lot of 5 star reviews but this place deserves it. The lay out of this store is great. Open and clean. Their fresh fish selection is amazing. And everything in this store always seems to be organized and in its place. Great place to shop and they have a wide variety of Asian foods French and otherwise.
Busy and bustling. I like the variety and the food court area.
Great selection for meat and veggies at a decent price. They usually have sales as well. Their bakery is definitely worth a try. The cakes are so moist, spongy, and not too sweet. The chocolate mousse cake is the bomb. They also have a food place that sells various dishes, along with roast pork and duck.
Excellent selection of Asian foods. Thats why my Husband goes there. They have items we cant get anywhere else. My favorite is the purple yam cake and the egg tarts. Yummy.
A treat for those looking to dive-in to Asian cuisine. Snacks, drinks, and ingredients for days to keep you cooking and cooking. Clean and quiet with quick checkout times, as well.
They have a really wide selection of items, that are very reasonably priced. Were vegan and love the tofu and tofu jerky selection! Wonderful tea selection too!
This store carries a wide range of products from Asia, especially China, Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand. A good selection of fresh produce, meat and seafood too. It also has a food court for a quick authentic meal.
I have been to 99 Ranch markets in 3 different locations. All were clean and well organized. Prices are very reasonable. Variety of merchandise is good. Quality is excellent. The food court is very good. Prices are reasonable and food taste good.
Good selection of Asian products this store mostly focuses on Chinese items but it has a mix of selections from other parts of Asia as well
99 ranch is one of my favorite grocery stores. There’s so much cool stuff in here. There’s also some great food restaurants in here in the food court
Clean Asian Grocery store with wide range of products and on site bakery, freshly made ready to eat dimsum, and lots of vegetarian options. Including tofu stir fry, frozen dumplings of various savory and sweet fillings, friendly and helpful staff at checkout also.
Went and bought duck feet. It was regular priced and expiration date is 2 weeks later. I came home and opened it found out ut was already rotten. Called the store number where the man picked up asked me to keep the stinky duck feet for next tome for a refund. Never brought up a word about apologizingDoes he really think I care about that 4 dollars? It is not the first time them having poor product qualities. Should I charge the business for keeping their bag of rotten duck feet until I can make it back to your store? How rediculousDo not buy anything from them that is from meat aisle. It is not trustable
This grocery was a first for me and had some great produce on special when you walked in the store. The aisles were full of food items but appeared unkempt and the aroma from the seafood counter hits you when you walk in the store. There is a great variety of fresh and frozen items for Asian cooking or quick meals. I was a little disappointed to find moldy fruit and berries and so I paid close attention while I perused the store.
Very confusing deli lines (lunch box and BBQ sections)While the manager insisted that there were only one register, thus Only one line (start at the lunch box) for both departments, customers were still confused and formed two lines; the biggest problem is that the staff was taking orders in an inconsistent manner. My first waiting in the line for a BBQ duck (Line 2), I was told to get behind to Line 1 where was the lunch box serving line, but the person right behind me was served his BBQ pork after I left the register. I gave the feedback to the manager and he lectured me that the BBQ line never existed, every one should take Line 1 at the lunch box section. I returned to the deli area 40 min. later and waited on Line 1, with another lady waiting on Line 2. Guess what, none of us were served but another lady behind the Line 2 lady got served. We immediately reported to another manager and he did help us to get our orders. We both got our items but it was not a delighted experience and the food did not tasted as good for us. I lost faith on this area…Dissatisfied and disappointed.
Fantastic Asian grocery store. Very tough to choose between this one and H Mart across the street, as both are great. 99 Ranch is consistently cleaner of the two, and I enjoy their bakery, dim sum area, large selection of fresh fish and exotic fruits, not to mention all the imported sweets you could ever desire. Good prices too!
Good if you looking for asian/japanese stuff.
This location in Carrollton is always packed, especially on weekends. The reason for 4 stars is that they do have bad produce that is on clearance or sale, I guess thats why...just need to look closely before buying. Other than that, they do have a good selection of asian stuff.
Always excellent variety fresh fruit/vegetables/fish/all kinds of meats, good pricing, huge section soups/spices... good deli and delightful bakery. Recommend.
Busy place, have alot of groceries, somethings you may know and then some you mite not, will go back
My go-to either here or HMart. Its a toss up. When one market doesnt have a asian veggie, I need to come here because they always have that hard to find asian veggie that our parents only grow in their backyard. You know, your asian neighbor who overgrows their backyard of plants? They usually have the good stuff growing back there, you should befriend them, seriously 😆. Ive found that their Filipino section has the cheat packets too! You know, the you lazy you go buy the Tamarind, Tinola, Tocino, Adobo packs? Oh and by far the sweet longanesa is way better here than HMart btw. Dont forget the sow-sow. Your welcs!
Good place to buy fish!! Lot of fish varieties... Nice staff people there...they have different kinds of services like cutting cleaning as per your requestThey are serving fish fry also. You just buy the fish and ask them to fry it. There is no extra charges for it.u can buy more kinds of Asian vegetables and fruits and groceries price is nominal not too expensive
Very busy place. Needs to be organized badly.
Seafood was the freshest we seen around in a long time.
Everybodys so nice they have very nice stuff something new for me thank you for let me use the restroom
Cannot live without this market. Love Taiwanese stuffs the most.Just a quick hint: If you care a lot where the product is from, carefully checking the little words of description on the back side, disclosing where it actually be made.
Clean place to buy Asian vegetables! Close to other greats place for multiple stops!
This market has a very odd smell right when you walk through the door. They need a better ventilation system for a better customer experience!
This is for the food court inside that sell roasted ducks: good meat, terrible cut. If you know how to chop up a whole duck, would have been better and much easier to eat if you were to chop up the duck yourself.
One of the best Asian Markets in Dallas. You can find all kinds of Asian produce stocked most of the time. Various selection of instant noodles and rice. We always find good deals on meat here and frozen seafood products. They also sell fresh fish prepared for you, their bakery also has a decent selection of pastries as well as desserts. When we have family in town we like to come here to grab their roasted duck and crispy pork belly along with other Asian cooked foods. Good location with many restaurants nearby.
This store was clean & I liked their wide range of fresh seafood.
Their watermelon are rotten inside. Ewwwwww
I get most of the ingredients for asian dishes here. Their fresh seafood and meat selection is very good. They have a wide selection of frozen goods, a bakery, and fresh whole cooked duck.
Sometimes stinks, actually hard to avoid with a seafood and fish section
Amazing store. Love the bakery inside and the drinks you can order near the bakery are amazing everytime. There is a cosmetic store in the front of the market that is awesome and has tons of amazing things.
Great selection, clean, nice staff. Went for hot pot meat and ramen but left with a few extra goodies. They are on Instacart as well!
One stop shopping for Asian cooking, including ingredients that are next to impossible to source at more American grocery stores. You have a recipe that calls for mountain yam, inoki mushrooms, or some other exotic Asian ingredients, this is where youll find them. Also a nice variety of import snacks and beer, if youre so inclined
Very nice market. Looking for fresh seafood this is a good spot to find it. They have several services from cleaning your purchase to cooking it!
I love this store and the food! My only complaint is that the music is always INSANELY loud. You can hardly hear the person next to you unless you’re yelling
This place has everything! They are really great, and they accept EBT. So much to get and so much to try!
LOVE it. The hot food n cake
Nice friendly staff. You can find some stuff here you can find at like Whole Foods or Central Market but at better prices
I shop here for their loose leaf green tea which is pretty hard to find anywhere else. Also the sea food, the fresh sea food and a wide variety cant be found elsewhere.
There are 3 99 ranch markets in the DFW area. I do not come to this one very often. It was just on my way to visit a friend of mine.At first, it looked no different than the other two. However, when we got to the produce section, it was another story. The green onions were very wilty and looked very sad. Most of them had least one or two stalks that were rotten.Cabbages were not any better. Most of them had black dots on the leaves.I love 99 ranch market very much but this place was very disappointing.
Always a great experience everytime we come here....
Not as big or have as much as h mart, but still nice.
Fresh produce is the best. Thank you.
Nicely organized store with most anything Korean youd be looking for. They also carry other Asian items, have a bakery and meat/ seafood department. Prices are competitive for the area. Parking can be a chore in the evening and weekends.
I drive 20 minutes just to get their fresh baked bread. I also enjoy all the fresh fruits and vegetables.
Messy, all their refrigerators need serious maintenance work. Waters dripping all over the place.
Great store..found all my Favorite snacks..
99 Ranch Market is very okay to me. They sell lots lots of Asian foods!! even the price is okay too.
Good Asian market fresh veggies. Not many indian veggies but decent. Thai banana is available kind of karpooravalli banana we call it in south india. Fish options are good sometimes you many not have enough stocks on the wild category. Good Asian market place
Had everything I was looking for! Mainly Sichuan Red Peppercorns where I couldn’t get anywhere else.
This is a different kind of grocery store, sea food is really fresh
This place is cool, theres groceries along with some nice restaurants inside. The bakery has tasty sweets.
I love this place so much, I go to get my groceries here all the time.
This place has such a great variety of grocery items. Their boba and some of the shops are closed but they still have a fresh bakery with cakes and a beauty store. They do sell boba tea mix and pearls if you want to give that a tray yourself :)
All grocery stores should have this type of selection and organization. Ive been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. Fantastic meat offerings and things you dont find in the coolers of other markets. Im not giving away any of my secrets....but theyve got great beef. Ill leave it at that. Plus...theyve got mochi.
Nice Asian grocery store
This is a decent supermarket.
Fresh fruit, seafood, bread, homemade food
I like this place, so many good stuff 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great store for all your Asian grocery needs. Clean, well stocked with reasonable prices.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Staff are very friendly and sometimes are better priced then hmart across the street
I really enjoy the services and very well kept grocery store !
3 lbs of lobster plus an additional 2 lbs of jumbo shrimp (head on) was an incredible deal. Plus if you are single, just saying. Lol!!!
Great things to buy. They also have things from Hawaii.
Great place to either get groceries, snacks, or a full meal! Really cant complain about anything here. Friendly staff, and everything is at a decent price!
Loved this place.... My love for food gets the best of my budget in here... Lol..
Huge store with lots of selection of fruits and vegetables. Staff is friendly and everything is well stocked.
99 Ranch was one of the few grocery stores open during the snowy shutdown. I called to double check if they were open. From the food court, I bought 3, 3 entree combos which were huge & filling. There were no smoked meats but that’s understandable, the bbq pork was excellent the last time I got it. Only one lady was working that area & she was doing an outstanding job. Picked up some sides that were in the display case across from the food court like pickled veggies and bbq pork buns. They have a great selection of Asian items- found yuzu tea near the jams & mie goreng noodles. Thanks to all the staff for braving the power outages and icy roads, super appreciated!
Great selection, clean well stocked.
Beautiful market with fair prices on harder to find meat and produce.Broader selection than Walmart and Kroger, more expensive than Walmart, pretty close to Kroger
Large selection and they have some harder to find stuff that you may miss if you have lived in either Japan or Korea. If you havent, its a good place to sample their food. The steam buns and ready to eat food are particularly tasty.
Dirty inside grocery row. please some items are price high then normal. no good to go this shop with kids.
Great store. Its a little dark inside
*FRESH SEA FOOD TANKS *CLEAN, CUT, AND OR FRY *GREAT PRODUCE *SMALL ROTISORY INSIDE *COFFEE AND TEA CAFE
Bargain Asian food items. Customer service can be improved but overall they are great!
