Magical, wonderful chocolate and ice cream shop!I walked in and this is exactly what you imagine a chocolate shop to look like. Welcoming and open and looks Magical. The chocolate displays are absolutely beautiful and every single chocolate looks dreamy and you just want to take a bite of everything!The ice cream was creamy and packed full of flavor. They had such delicious and unique ice cream flavors that are so amazing.Great ice cream and chocolate shop thats well worth the visit.

Their ice cream is homemade and delicious. Also, I bought a package of their seafoam candy and it was just as I remember from my childhood in Buffalo, NY where we call it sponge candy. Excellent place to visit when in Wilmington.

Me and my family like these Ice creams, the flavors and consistency are great! Plus they have these candies and nuts chocolate covered that taste so good!

Kilwin’s has the best candy and ice cream in Cary and the surrounding area. The owners are amazing, friendly and very accommodating. When you walk into the store, you know you will be pleased.

BEST ice cream in Cary/Apex that Ive had so far BY FAR. The strawberry ice cream actually has strawberries in it. Its classic hard ice cream (as opposed to soft serve). No seating inside though.

Always tasty with exceptional service! Beatrice served me, shes always friendly and polite, love her! When I eat icecream anywhere else which I rarely do, I feel like Im cheating on Kilwins lol. Nobody makes these flavors like they do, pistachio and toasted coconut with that homemade waffle cone or bowl yums!

The reason I gave this place a 1 is because HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!! If you hate your job quit and find another one. The chocolate was not good it was hard and old. The fugue was disgusting. We asked if we could sample before buying and was given a rude answer. Both of the employees were rude. When someone had 3 kids and is spending 80-100 in your store you could at least make a effort. Get it together trail your employees better . They do offer leadership training and courses but it all starts with management .

Great ice-cream cone!

Took my daughter and 2 of her friends for a treat after their school open house tonight. One of her friends has severe allergies. The staff were very accommodating and he loved his sorbet! Will definitely be back. I had been to the original Kilwins in Michigan several years ago and was so glad when they opened a location in Cary. The toasted coconut is my fave.

Just went in and asked to do a sampler of a total of 8 various pieces of chocolates and was charged by the pound?!? I specifically asked if there was a sampler I could do and she said yes. I figured I’d be charged per piece. No! $10 for some orange peels and four chocolates!!!! My husband likes your salted chocolates but I DON’T like they way you do business! If for whatever reason can only charge by the pound say so!!!! Very unhappy 🙁

Great little chocolate and ice cream store! If you had a shop like this in your hometown, it may be hard to beat yours... but Kilwins is worth a try! They have a small cafe area, lots of kinds of ice cream and a lovely candy counter. The wrapping is exquisite and would make a nice gift especially if youre in a hurry. The Buckeyes were great, as well as the cashew turtles. Yes, cashew turtles!

Hands down the best ice cream. We also really like their Raleigh location.We were visiting the area when discovered this ice cream store. However, they are so much more - with specialty items and other sweet baked goods, such as chocolate. We have since moved down to RTP and no other ice cream store has come close. Others taste overly sweet. Here they focus on high quality, creamy, flavorful ice cream. Im a huge fan of the toasted coconut, but their other flavors are great as well with a wide range from fruity to chocolate.Well be back for the next ice cream cravings and near the holidays to bring some chocolate to our families in NJ.

With the warmer weather, its time for great ice cream again. If you like Coconut and Ice Cream, then the Toasted Coconut Ice Cream at Kilwins has no better. Its packed full of real toasted coconut and tastes like heaven. Their waffle cones are fresh, with a pleasant aroma. The interior is nicely appointed and chock full of different sorts of treats, largely chocolate or ice cream. They also have an impressive assortment of fudge (and you can request samples).

Super nice shop for sweets, including chocolate candies and ice cream. The goodies are of extremely high quality. The price reflects this. My wife says the Tuttles are to die for. Great place to get Valentines gifts. The parking can be a challenge because the shopping plaza is quite popular.

Excellent ice cream. The variety of flavors is fairly traditional, but what I had was quite good.I only tried a taste of the fudge, but it was velvety smooth and richly flavored. Clearly, theyd put some effort into it. Its easy for fudge to come out gritty with large sugar crystals. This was perfectly even consistency. I brought home a couple of flavors of it, and look forward to trying them.

This is a great place to head when youre craving something sweet. It makes fudge in house which give the place a wonderful chocolate smell to it. They have ice cream as well as an impressive selection of chocolate, dipped items like graham crackers, rice crispy treats, and lots of truffles. Pretty much anyone can find some sugary thing they like here. Staff is great and very nice when you want to just pick a few of a bunch of different kinds of candy.

I LOVE the ice cream here! All of the flavors I have tried are good, but there are a few that are absolutely fantastic. Salted Caramel is one of my favorites, but I think the New Orleans Pralines and Cream is one of my favorite flavors of all time. They also have a good assortment of chocolates, caramels, candy apples and fudge.My daughter and I like to come here and sit at the counter inside, and if were lucky we get to watch the staff making some of the confections for the store (weve watched them dip candy apples, roll and cut fudge, pour huge trays of chocolate, make caramel, etc.) It doesnt happen every time, but my daughter loves it. Even if we just sit outside on a sunny afternoon at one of the tables its always a great experience!

I am hesitant to post this review, because my experience at the North Hills store was so AMAZING. That was the Polar opposite of Friday evening in the Kilwins Cary.We were shopping in Cary, and I was with the person who had introduced me to Kilwins at North Hills. The wonderful associate at the NH store had told us about the Cary store being the owners first store in the area. We decided to find the Cary store to buy a special gift for someone. When we walked in there were 3 people behind the counter, one of them asked if they could help us; we, just came in for the smell! Was our reply, because of the wonderful smell and memories it brings back. Crickets...No one spoke to us, came out to help as we gathered the items we wished to purchase, or questioned prices or differences between those items. (At that point we were the only people in the store.) As the store began to fill with people who were there for ice cream, we got in the line to get ourselves cones as well. That became a whole other process, of person who waited on you for ice cream; then was the person who walked over to the register to check you out. Perhaps, the the most disappointing part of all was the quality of the product I took to a friend. After talking up Kilwins Milk Chocolate Pecan Tuttles for the past 3 months, I had finally been able to pick up a box for her. The silky smooth chocolate, and caramel that enrobed the pecans was not so with this box. They were good, they were not excellent, and I had to apologize for talking up a mediocre product. Ill stick to Kilwins North Hills for one more try.

The ice cream is delicious and theres many flavors to pick from. That, and theres chocolates, candy apples, and more too! Its a great place to visit in Cary.

I love this place! Better than coldstone creamery in my opinion (I know!) I love the smell when you walk in - homemade sweets are always being made! I love their chocolate chip cookie dough, personally! It does have outside seating, too for a summer or fall evening!

If you like chocolate, fudge, and ice cream then this place is heaven. I havent had anything from here that didnt just taste wonderful. My favorite is their peanut butter chocolate ice cream. The serving sizes are generous . The staff is always friendly even when theyre busy.

What a great place for kids to realize that candy doesnt just magically appear in wrappers!The chocolates and ice cream are great. The staff is always pleasant and doesnt mind standing around while you look at the overwhelming amount of choices.If you have young kids and are lucky enough to be in there while someone is actually making some candy, they will watch in amazement.Great stop after coffee or a burger at the shops next door.

Its always a tad bit expensive but the quality is amazing. Did you know they make milkshakes? Theyre amazing.

Deliciously hand made chocolates and FUDGE, wonderful ice cream, and an excellent staff. You can watch them make the candy live in-person and the prices are very reasonable. Buy some sweets with your sweetheart and take a stroll through the other shops.

I would give this shoppe 10 stars if I could! Authentic, flavorful sweets and amazing ice cream selection (be sure to try the coconut). Staff is friendly and this place is heaven for one with a sweet tooth.

My daughter and I just went in a few hours ago to order several scoops to go. This was my first time in Kilwins and I was anxious to try it. There was a line, but not extremely busy. I basically had in mind what I wanted to order when it was my turn, but the rudeness and hurriedness of the man helping us threw me off. Hes the short one with a beard. He kept saying what do you want? And What next? And Anything else in a very hurried and rude way. I felt basically like I was in the way and not a valued customer. When it came time to check out, I told him it was my first time there and Id be back, but he never looked at me or smiled or acknowledged what Id just said. Right then I decided I wouldnt be back. There are plenty of good ice cream places in this area that value their customers and make them feel welcome.Its a shame too, the ice cream was good. Pricey, but good.

I have been here many times but never have I been forced to make a decision on which flavor of ice cream I intend to take. I took my mom who is a first time visitor. After tasting one flavor, the store person immediately started asking us any flavor in particular u want to taste. I told him she is unsure she is still exploring.Then, on tasting the second one. We had decided on what we wanted to get. Before we could say that, he again asked us any flavor in particular and his tone was again in the same manner of hurrying us up.I have had much better days here.

All - to provide an update. I spoke with the store owner. I told her about my daughter and how upset she had made me. I told her how no child deserves to be treated that way and that she ruined a wonderful day for us. She was extremely apologetic and offered to send something to my daughter. She stated that she also has a special needs nephew and she should know better. In fact, I think I heard a few tears coming from her as well. I dont know if its enough to make us go back but its certainly enough to make me feel like I stood up for my child.I am extremely disappointed to write this. I went to Kilwins today with my husband, mother in law and 2 year old daughter. My daughter has a visual impairment, sensory issues and cerebral palsy. While waiting in line my daughter was playing with a bag of taffy (she likes the crinkly sound). A woman came up to my daughter and without saying a word to myself or her father pulled the bag from her hands and left my daughter sobbing on the floor. I didnt know what to say, I was so angry and hurt. We asked the woman helping us who she was surprised and were extremely surprised to find out this was the store owner. I was shocked that an owner wouldnt know that some children may have special needs and rather than speak to the parents, pull something out of their hands. She literally stole candy from a baby! I am still so upset about it. After we both calmed down and paid for our ice cream cones my husband told her that was really poor customer service you showed to myself and family. She simply said Im sorry you feel that way. So no apology to her actions but rather apologizing for our opinions about it. We wont be going there again and I ask all parents whose children may require additional attention or care to consider this next time you have a hankering for ice cream.

Amazing chocolate selection! Their homemade ice cream options are pretty good as well - recommend their cookie dough or pralins when possible. Staff is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Love grabbing a cone or cup and sitting out front during the warm days of Spring/Summer.

Just got the Chocolate covered strawberries for my wife for Valentines day, and they were delicious! Last year I went with one of the online berry companies, and my wife said never to do that again -- Kilwins were fresher and better tasting! I highly recommend them.

I LOVE Kilwins Hot Fudge!!!We first experienced Kilwins in Michigan a few years ago at their original store. I was blown away by the hot fudge, and SO excited to see that there was a store in Cary.Love the ice cream too!

We went in today and my disabled daughter (visually impaired and cerebral palsy) was playing with a bag of taffy. A person working there, without a word to myself or my wife, and without bothering to ask if we were going to buy the candy, ripped the bag out of my daughters hands leaving her sobbing on the floor. This is the single worst customer experience I have ever had. I was amazed to hear from the woman serving our ice cream that it was the owner. Needless to say we will never go there again.

Went with my children to have ice cream, they tasted a couple flavors, then each of them ordered a scoop. We went to the register, and the clerk rang up a charge of $7.40. I looked over and saw that the childrens scoops were $2.60 and told him that the total charge should be $5.20. The clerk replied, your children have adult scoops, and it costs more. I then told the clerk, these are children, why are you giving them adult scoops? The clerk called the manager. The manager, arrogant, and disrespectful stated that I need to pay the total balance. I gave him a coupon for two adult scoops and $3.00 and walk out of the store. He had the nerve to say, You Folks Never Come Here Again!!! HA!!! Really... Chocolates are great, and my kids didnt really think the Ice Cream was a big deal, and like the manager said, I wont be coming there again.

Kilwins has great ice cream, although I think somewhat overrated. The waffle cones are made fresh and are really good. The chocolate and candy selections are delicious.

I love Kilwin’s, but dislike the atmosphere at this store. As a former employee at Kilwin’s in Blowing Rock, I was highly disappointed. The staff was unfriendly. I walked in and I got nothing. No, “Welcome to Kilwin’s.” Wasn’t even offered a free fudge sample. Maybe I have high expectations but that doesn’t fly in Blowing Rock. I purchased ice cream, apple pie, caramel corn, and 1 slice of fudge. The staff didn’t inform me of their “buy 2, get 1 free slice of fudge.” So I stuck with the 1 slice. I ate the apple pie when I got home and it was okay. Either the apple was overripe or it wasn’t a granny smith. This was a disappointment for me because everything at Kilwins is good and it’s a great place to work (Blowing Rock).

Since there were NO samples...I chose not to purchase a $30 $40 and $50 box of Chocolates to risk if I would like them or not... This is only my personal view... may not agree....But I am not going to spend a fortune on chocolate to see if I like it or not?. So I turned around and left the store ...I found it extremely expensive and not giving out free samples is bad business.... Im sure this post will not See the light of day but at least someone at this business will see my Customers opinion

This place is next level awesome. If you are counting calories make sure you dont eat for about 3 weeks before you visit. It will be worth it.

This place smells like heaven as soon as you walk in. It has a great variety of sweet treats and is my go-to when Im craving a dessert. I have not tasted anything here that disappointed me.
