Great grocery store catering to the Hispanic community. Wonderful selection of produce at the best prices! Fresh cheeses, cremas and salsas! They make their own tortillas and chips too right in the store! Today white onions for .89 per lb. Green peppers 3 for .99; cilantro .69 per bundle.

Thieves and fraudsters, i will never shop there again and i need to speak with someone at the corporate office ASAP . i was there yesterday in the morning, i put my change in the coin machine and the amount was 40 something dollars, they only had one register open and the line was so big so i left the store and went back there in the morning to collect the money, the cashier went and spoke to her boss and she refused to give me my money because i was 5 minutes late! Really? Well i was in line for more than 15 minutes so they stole my money and they even kept the receipt! thieves

As always pleasant personnel and stockers very knowledgeable of were items have been moved to. They have a new service and that is that if youre looking for a specific product new to you and want to know how and were its used in theyll give you all the information on the product and its used. Its an awesome new thing theyre trying out.

A great find for Mexican foods and specialties... excellent prepared foods, a great produce department, and excellent meats and cheese/salsa bar. Uniformly friendly and pleasant staff, too. You won’t always find standard American fare and some household brands you need, so you’ll still need to hit the Stater Bros around the corner... but for what they have, Cardenas Markets is truly a treat.

The store is simply beautiful -- a treat for the eyes. It has many Mexican specialties and is a treat to shop in. I go nearly every time I drive down to the Coachella Valley from Joshua Tree.

My first trip here. I enjoyed shopping here. Their produce is excellent. They carry brands that I like but are not found in regional chains. Staff was friendly. Prices were decent. Bakery items look tasty. Store made salsas are good. Definitely worth the trip and I will return. The lines to check out were a little long, but they were quick to open up another register.

Very sadly I have to say that the Rosca de Reyes they sell now are terrible, they used to have the best! the bread is not spongy and light, with orange blossom water flavor, instead is a dense batter filled with jelly... I dont know what happened if they changed bakers, but I will a have to find a new place to shop for them.

Mexican grocery store with a great assortment of products. Staff are friendly and helpful. The prices were fair and we were able to find lots of snacks that you dont usually find in big brand grocers. Well definitely be back! Had a lot of fun shopping here.

Cardenas is a great store. There are a few here in the Coachella Valley. I often visit the Cathedral City store. Prices are good. Staff is always helpful. There is a deli serving lots of great Mexican food. They make cakes. They have a great produce section and their meat department is amazing with lots to choose from. They also sell religious candles and pinatas.

I love this grocery store. They have great produce and a broad selection. They make their own chips and salsa which are quite tasty. Nice baked goods also. Have an extensive meat counter and some good sales on meat items. And of course being a Latino Market if you are looking for something that is in that genre you will have a good chance of finding it at Cardenas. They also have an in-house eating area so if you get hungry during your shopping trip step up to the counter and order something and then take a seat and enjoy it. The store is often quite busy so dont go there expecting a quick in-and-out trip.

Posole and menudo are on special, and just like I remover mom making it. Great service and variety. We went for the fruit, sweet bread, and cooked food (Carne aside, beans, rice, ceviche) all tasty and ready to eat when we got home.

I like to shop here from time to time. It is overall a pretty good place to shop. Sometimes the produce isnt the best or they are out of certain things. But not a big deal. I wasnt happy with a cake I ordered though. I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday and they didnt have the design I wanted. So, I picked another and they told me they didnt have the props it came with (that I was paying for), but that I could buy my own. 🤷‍♀️ Why do should I pay more when it is suppose to come with it? It was a good cake, but not what I wanted. So they do need some more organization in the bakery department. Other than that, they seem pretty consistent in providing good quality groceries.

Slice of Mexican heaven- each dept is amazing, offering authentic food with daring flavors. we did taco Tuesday here, instead of our regular restaurant. omg!! we picked up a pound of shrimp guacamole and chocolate cake with flan on top. try their grilled chicken...better than moms. this place gets 2 huge thumbs up!!

They serve the best hot Mexican food over any Mexican restaurant in the desert and Ive been to all three Cardenas locations Cathedral City La Quinta and Indio the hot food is amazing. Cardenas is a good market but I do not see to many people shoping in there now...sorry to say but Cardenas Market is getting more expensive day by day...a shame!

One of my favorite stores to shop at, they have a bakery, a tortilleria (tortilla shop), all kinds of fresh produce, dried goods such as chili pods, beans and spices. There is also a fresh fruit station where you can get smoothies or fresh juice drinks, flavored raspados (shaved ice), they have homemade prepared hot food, tacos, menudo, caldo de res (cocido/beef stew), carnitas, pollo asado (grilled chicken), sopa de arroz, beans, ceviche. This place has everything, I wish I had a Cardenas near me. But this Cardenas in Cathedral City is very clean, organized and neatly stocked.

Great prices and selection of food products, household goods and so much more. From prepared food for breakfast lunch or dinner, to breads, sweets, meats, and still more. Prices are fantastic. Staff is so friendly. Overall one of the better grocery stores Ive been to.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!! I went to cardenas in cathedral city to get a few things and they tried getting me for $11. The cashier scanned apples and I didnt even get apples. I had to check the cashier and ask why she scanned apples. She didnt even try to say it was a mistake. She just called a lead cashier to clear up the attempted robbery and I got a dirty look from the lead cashier. Last time I go there. The cashiers need to be more people friendly. They have no people skills. Por lo menos que pueden hacer es saludar al cliente.

Overall good experience. The food I ordered tacos de carnitas. They were a bit greasy and had to take a papertowel to remove excess oil.They are handling the social distancing well. Customers were doing their best for the most part. On a bad note I didnt see the grocery carts being wiped down, I was glad I brought my own clorox wipes.

The prepared food is so good. I love their caldo de pollo and de rez. Posole on Saturdays and Sundays tastes homemade. However, treatment at the registers is not good. I dont know how training is done, but most of the time, the clerks need help finding skus for vegetables and fruits. The attitudes are of frustration and confusion most of the time. Hopefully, time will change that.

Love Cardenas but this store is always so busy and understaffed, the aguas frescas are really good, employees are never friendly, produce is a very affordable price but I feel like it never lasts more then three days, I never buy meat here anymore since I had a terrible experience where I found a fly between the meat as I began to pull pieces out of the bag to cook it 🤢, you can pay bills at this location, they aren’t doing a good job at sanitation of their carts during this pandemic or even having any sanitation stations for customers as they come in, and last the Cardenas brand guacamole is really good I highly recommend it.

Good place to find Mexican products, grocery, and bakery. They also have a tamale bar and deli. I only gave 4-stars since they need slots to place tongs in for bulk bakery. People grabbing them by the end that touches food is not sanitary.

I went to buy tacos like I do every taco Tuesday this time I order rice and beans its $2.99 per pound so I ordered a half a pound of each so it should be $3 plus tax right? No!! it was $4.43 how is that half of $2.99 (x2) I asked the girl and she goes well thats the way it is...well then you should let us know that you charge more for 1/2 pound.I dont understand whats up with Cardenas, lately the taco meats been icky super greasy on my last three visits so I probably wont be going anymore.
