The service rep, Anthony, at Honda of the Desert was outstanding!!! During a recent road trip the air conditioning went out in our Honda Van. My wife who is handicapped almost had a heat stroke by the time we reached Palm Springs. I was desperate to get it fixed. The next morning first thing I showed up without an appointment at the Honda service department. I told Anthony my desperate situation. He was very sympathetic and got my vehicle right in the shop. Right after lunch I got my vehicle back working 100%. He even arranged a Lyft ride back to my hotel and arranged to have me picked up to receive the vehicle. All other repair facilities wanted anywhere from 3-days to a week to even look at the vehicle let alone repair it. Great job Anthony! I sure appreciate your superb service. I would recommend you to anyone wanting and/or needing auto service for their Honda.

I had a 1pm appointment Saturday for a tune up, I was one of the last cars that were serviced, my car was ready a little after 4pm and after driving it I noticed the bottom cover was loose. I could not return back to the shop as it was closed Sunday and I had to work all day Monday. I arrived Monday 30 minutes before 6pm in hopes of getting some help with my vehicle. The assistant gave me an excuse that all the technicians left for the day, I explained to the assistant that I was not able to come in tomorrow and did not feel safe driving it off like this. The assistant then took my car back and explained to me that the noise was my tired being rotated and the front tires will need to be replaced soon. I stated I understood and I would have it taken care of soon. I mentioned that the bottom cover was that concerned me as it was very loose. I had to tire it with a string, the only thing I had on hand so I could make it safe to the dealership. The assistant assured me that they would full secure it with the screws and clips. I was grateful that the team took the time to get me in.. however Im disappointed and feel lied to because as soon as I drove it off, the load noise started up again.. I pulled over and the cover was still hanging to the floor... they did not secure it. The string was still holding the cover. The dealership was fully closed. At this point I felt that they just pretend to help me just so they can be done for the day, everyone seemEd in a rush to leave which I understand however I trusted in them that it would get done. I feel lied to and I can no longer trust going back here again. I trusted that I would be safe driving my vehicle home. Ive been a loyal customer for a long time and had put my trust this dealership that they would be honest and asure my car is safe to drive and that they would get the job done as they said they would. I no longer feel safe and trust that your service is genuine and given the recent reviews about lack of proper service inspections and the lack of honesty and transparency. I can truly believe there is a safety problem here, I wouldnt recommend anyone here anymore, for the reason that I dont feel safe and peace of mind with the services.

Went in for an oil change, tire rotation, inspection etc. Advisor suggested that the next time I come in I get the 30k mile service (which includes an air filter replacement) When I reviewed my inspection I had all green lights. When my brother checked my air filter it was in poor shape yet they gave me a green light. Apparently they probably never inspected my car. How do I even know if they changed my oil and oil filter? All I can be certain of is that they washed my car. Did they take advantage of me because I am a woman or because of my age. I would not recommend.

Buyer beware! Went to look at an Accord. When we started talking about the deal they said “oh also there is a $2,995 markup on the vehicle plus paint protection and a security system you have to pay for.” I took them to the car and showed them there was NO addendum on the car saying as such. I also used the Kelly Blue Book Instant Cash Offer from their dealer website. It gave me a number and I brought it with me for them to see. They tried to tell me my vehicle was worth $6k less. My car is a 3 yr old MBZ with only 23k miles in immaculate condition with brand new tires and all service records, not a scratch or ding and goes to the car wash every week! They refused to honor their own cash offer.Stay away! They are crooks!

Poor experience first time and even the next few times after .. not honest in work, And will take advantage of you and your money if the opportunity is open.Reasoning for that being said, I’Have brought TWO different type of vehicles for work to be done to the vehicles that costed more than $500 each visit, and everytime it wasn’t done fully. I’want to be able to go to the dealership for mechanical work but their work there is NOT reliable to be done ..Just my opinion personally, but actions haven’t been any good all the times I’ve went.

While visiting Honda of the Desert, I was very surprised with the low pressure sales team. Upon my arrival they never tried to rush me into a sale, I was greeted and asked if I needed any assistance. After getting inside i was impressed with the layout of the showroom and the employees willingness to answer my questions with any sales pressure at all! Soon after I was introduced to the General Manager Gil Ruttenberg and he asked me a few questions about my current vehicle, he then informed me that Honda of the Deserts technicians were fully capable of servicing my 2015 Tundra. Just went to drop off a friends Honda for service. The parking lot is always a mess, but this time wasn’t bad due to the car shortage. The service writers are very nice and listen to our concerns. They were able to price different jobs to compare where it would be better to just do everything at once or in piece meal over the next 2 years. Opted to just do it all now.But for me, Honda makes no vehicle I would be interested in, as after having an electric car, I never want to go back to gasoline or diesel vehicle. Luckily, you can walk to 4 nearby stores or dealers that sell EVs - Tesla, Kia, Nissan and Chevy.
