Went online to make an appointment for a hitch install, the soonest appointment was 2 weeks away, went to the appointment this morning and they didn’t have our hitch. They said it hadn’t come in yet. They did not call before hand to cancel our appointment, they just turned us away. Very frustrating as we waited 2 weeks to even get an appointment! They just said sorry we will call you when it’s here. (Edit) Darin and Spencer the managers helped locate our hitch and rescheduled our appointment for a couple days later, though the night before a employee called us and again said our hitch was not there, though it was. Very confusing couple days but hitch is now installed thank you Darin.

I have been renting U-Hauls here for over 5 years never have had a problem, staff is very friendly and experienced. I definitely recommend this location to family and friends. The staff here goes that extra mile to satisfy your needs.

Set up appointment for 0800 was 15 min early and was told the hitch would be installed in 3 hrs. Now at 1820 car still not finished. Was told that a drop off was only done when they get around to it. The young lady manager was somewhat rude with her explanation. May be good for truck rentals but would not reccomend for hit h installation

My U-Haul experience in moving from Norther California to Palm Desert was great-until the shipment got to Cathedral City. After two confirming emails on the delivery date, the moving helper company called to say the Pod was not at Cathedral City (where I paid monthly charges) but at Indio. The helper went to Indio and was told it was not there but would try to locate. It was found back at Cathedral City but scheduled for a week later. The moving helper finally was able to bring it out at 7:30 at night. At no time did Cathedral call to update or apologize. Were it not for the help from the contracted moving helper, I would still be waiting.I have no problem with U-Haul, but would avoid Cathedral City at all costs as they do not deserve our money

Made an appointment to install a trailer hitch. Got an appointment for 11:30 am. I showed on time, just to be told that they did not have an installer. The lady at the counter told me that she had seen My appointment, but that she had no installer. Wish she had call me to let me know beforehand. Then, she tells me that they only do installations on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. I remind her that today is Sunday. She thinks about it and realize the irony! Just a bad service. Not coming back here.

I rented a truck and storage space recently. I gave back the truck they need to give me back my stuff. But they sold it illegally. Fine place if your life is like a fairy tale, if you need people to have independent thought there are better places.

Needed to have my hitch plug fixed. RUDY tested it and found it was a fuse. He fixed it in 5 minutes. He COULD HAVE feed me a line and I would not have known. So if you want HONEST service go there.

Please do not go to this location if you want your honored.At 4pm today (36 hours before the scheduled pick up), I received a call from your location stating that my order could not be filled - Unless I paid a more expensive price. I was given a customer service number for a complaint. The UHaul employee informed me there was NOTHING they could do. My reservation was invalid, and could not be honored. I asked if there was different equipment available. Perhaps a smaller truck and trailer. Although this would cut into my fuel budget - I was willing to accept the change. I was told nothing is available. In my 30 years of professionally renting equipment... This is an outrage. Could not even get a call back from Rudy the Owner/manager.This is the worst example of customer service i have ever received in my life. I will never again rent a UHaul vehicle or use UHaul storage. I will never again recommend UHaul to a customer. I will personally never step into another UHaul facility - Not even for a roll of plastic.Such a shame to lose a lifelong, loyal customer over a few dollars, bad business practices, and a matter of fact phone etiquette.For the drama UHaul has put me through - If this is how you treat LOYAL customers... I want nothing to do with you!

I just drove away after experiencing the worst customer service experience in my life.. the propane operator was rude and berated me for refusing to park on the opposite side of property and carry 10 gallon 75 pound propane tanks back and forth from the distant parking spot..Will never return..I recommend the chevron location across street for propane

I had a 2 inch hitch installed on my pick-up and it was quick and easy. I chose to leave it and have a friend pick me up because I expected the worst in terms of time, but it wasnt necessary as Rudy was finished in about 25 mins. Will return.

Great service and very professional. Catherine was so friendly and Rudy was fantastic. Had trailer wired to my car and everything was done in a timely manner. Great place for Trailer Hitches and connections.

Movers beware. If you are moving with their pods they only deliver one or two days out of the week. Truck comes from LA. I will further review my no-so-good experience with my move from Portland, OR to Cathedral City after our delivery today. I am not confident at this point all will go well but am hoping for the best and they redeem themselves from this chaotic move.

I would avoid this place at all costs. Besides having an incredibly surly manager they do not follow the latest regulations. I caught them in a big error regarding LPG. They said they follow corporate not federal/ state regulations. In other words they pick and choose what regulations to follow. I can only imagine how that can impact the safety of their fleet and yours.

Awesome experience at Cathedral City. Professional, courteous, and experienced considering another experience the same week was not so pleasant. I am an avid Uhaul user and have a business account to ensure my own customer service. Thank you Cathedral City!

The people are nice and generally trying to help. But if you DO have a problem, each location of UHaul is separately managed with no central authorities to assist you. Thats insane for a company thats supposed to be helping you with long distance moves.Even calling the corporate customer service number gets you nowhere! Very Frustrating!

Friendly service. I have rented trailers and currently have storage. I have never had any issues and have always been greeted with a smile.

Staff was fast and courteous. We went there to pick up our U-box and were out within minutes with it hitched to the back of the truck. When we returned they helped un-hitch the trailer and we were on our way.

Was given a truck that had a almost complete flat rear tire. The attendant took 15 mins (by no fault of his, slow pump) airing up the Tire then sent me on my way. I was doing this move solo, it took three hours to load. I began to pull out and Low and behold, I am on a almost flat tire again! Being less than 3 miles from the Uhaul yard, I went back there to have it fixed before going on the freeway, loaded.The attendant told me he would air it up for me again but thats all he could do, and I would have to keep putting air in periodically! OR I could unload it and reload into another truck! ALONE . I said Id take the air.So I ended up keeping the truck and leaving with the low tire because he said hed be right back, I waited 5 mins. I was not happy.Had to stop FOUR times for air during that 12 hours. Very inconvenient. I do recommend if you rent from this yard, be sure to dot your I s and cross your Ts.

Its a big place with everything you need. A few years ago the service wasnt great; there was always like 5 people in line and only 1 person at the register who barely knows how to use the register and always had to call other people for help. BUT this has hreatly imoroved and service is good, so no real ckmllaints now.

Do not go to this uhaul! They just try to get more money out of you. They told us we need to have a different wiring harness because ours was shorting and they wanted to charge us $122 for it. Well we didnt do it and checked it ourselves, everything was working fine. We dont know why they said it was shorting out.

Im calling around to get prices on small units. Said they couldnt give me a price quote without taking all my information... I just need a price is all. Unecessary, clearly they dont want to make it easy to rent here. Ive been a victim of identity theft so giving out all my info to everyone on the planet for no reason isnt what I feel comfortable doing. Is my phone number and info going to change the price somehow? No. Ok.

The thing is they are thefts and it will take 3 to 4 days for it to straitened up what they did to my bank account. So just check for over payment made to your accounts

Thieves, dont rent a truck from this location!!! I left a the string attached and they charged me $30.00 to cut it with scissors. Ive rented several vehicles from uhaul I got screwed by a bunch of hillbillies at the Cathedral City Uhaul location. I was charged a cleaning fee of $30.00 to snip a the wire with scissors. Try Penske instead, great company and awesome customer service. Uhaul, you lost more then $30.00. You guys are brainless and idiots!! Cant recognize loss of money more then the latest yay $30.00 you stoked from a repeat and loyal customer due to your greed at Uhaul Cathedral City. I wish I can give less then 1 star!

Packing a U-Haul moving box for a friend from his storage unit. As Murphys Law would have it, there was sand blowing everywhere in the 62mph windstorm that enveloped Palm Springs that day. I had sand/grit in places no one should except maybe when one is at the beach.... ;~(

I frequently go to this uhaul . The employees can be very rude and never seem to know how to do there jobs . Never inside at the desk when I go to get my truck I reserved .
