I haven’t used my 5 by 10 unit yet, but the rental process online was very user friendly on my iPhone 6. Even signing the agreements was really easy. As I began signing the agreements, I got a phone call from Elaina (Sorry if I got your name wrong). She gave me some really important and helpful information about what to expect next and how to access my unit. She said she was going to be out of the office the next day, which is why she called me so promptly. Her customer service was awesome! She was really professional, extremely helpful and best of all, very kind. The unit feels really safe and secure. The ceiling is higher than expected, which is a plus. It’s nice and spacious for the size. Oh, and my unit is indoors which helps keep it cool in this dry desert heat. This is the first time I’ve needed to rent a storage unit and I am SO GLAD I chose this place. Easy, simple, quick, affordable and stress free. My stuff is safe and secure; such a relief.

Storage space is in high demand; it’s a tight market. I’ve recently had excellent customer service from “Elaina” at the Cathedral Canyon Dr site and “Jessica” at the Converse Rd site. They were both very professional and competent and collaborated to identify storage units that would meet our needs. Extra Space Storage will be a “go to” for future needs

This is one of just a few facilities that offer individual, enclosed, RV storage and it was the only one with availability. Just signed up today, so I cant say anything about the ongoing experience, but I can tell you that the interaction with Elaina was upbeat, pleasant, and super easy. I was in and out with contract in hand in just a few minutes.

I recently rented a storage unit from this location. The check in process was seamless and very easy. However, checking out was a different story. I gave notice that I was going to check out. When I spoke with the representative, she asked me if I wanted to make a payment for the pro-rated amount due. I was driving at the time and was unable to, so I told her I would call her back on the following Monday. When I called, I told the representative that I had to change the date because the moving company was no longer available on the date I wanted to move so I changed the move out date to the 26th. My monthly automatic payment is scheduled for the 20th. She said it was okay to change the date and that I would just owe the prorated amount for 6 days of storage. She NEVER told me that I had to pay the prorated amount before the 20th or else the automatic payment would be processed. Based on our conversation, I was under the impression that I would take care of the prorated amount of 6 days when I checked out on the 26th. I was under the impression that since I gave notice I was moving out, that they would stop the automatic monthly payment and I would just owe for 6 days when I moved out. Well, that was not the case. The automatic payment posted on the 20th for the full month at $670!!!!! There was obviously a miscommunication and if I was told I had to pay the prorated amount before the 20th, I would have done so!!!! As you can imagine, Im extremely disappointed how this was handled and I called 3 times to speak with the District Manager. No one ever called me back!!! But guess what? Someone is going to respond to this rating right away and its too late!!! Your customer services skills are EXTREMELY poor when it comes to resolving disputes!!! Warning to other customers...Pay the prorated amount before your automatic payment is scheduled to process. They dont stop the automatic payment until you are officially moved out, even if you give proper notice. Im sure this is not the first time this has happened. Beware!!!

I’ve been with Extra Storage for 2 years I just left as of yesterday July 31st. Everything was fine until early this year apparently there was a burglary going on in the storage and unfortunately my storage was one of them. I was informed a week after they have discovered the burglar art in several storage. No assistance and no update from anyone. They expected me to report this burglary after I trusted them with my stuff. No help at all from the company. What’s worst is that they took all my dead mothers clothes and important valuable things. I don’t recommend this storage at all.

It review for 36000 Cathedral Canyon Dr Cathedral City, CA.EVERYTHING HORRIBLE from the beginning. They sent keys from lock to a different address, after my arrival i had my own locks. Manager REQUESTED TO PAY for lock and thretened NOT TO CUT a lock until is paid for it, i paid around 19 $ cash, she cut the lock, i moved in with stuff. After i came to pay for second month i was charged for lock again 19 $. THESE ARE JUST THIEVES. The storage NOT TAKEN CARE of, the main gate WITHOUT A USE FOR A MONTHS as gate code system wrapped with a tape and they not fixing it. Just CHOOSE DIFFERENT STORAGE AS THERE YOU WILL BE CHEATED

I would never rent storage from Extra Space Storage again. I have rented storage spaces for the last 10 years. Increases in the monthly rates are to be expected, usually every 6-12 months you can expect to see an increase of $10-15/mo. So, I wasnt surprised that five months after I rented a 10x10 storage unit a year and a half ago for $85/mo, they raised the rate to $95/mo. Today I received a Rate Change Notice from them informing me my new rate is now $175/mo. An $80/mo increase? This is utterly ridiculous. Needless to say, I will be moving my things out before the increase goes into effect this month. Basically their notice says that because they lease month to month, they can change the rate whenever they feel like it, and by any amount they chose.I would caution anyone who is potentially thinking of renting from Extra Space to think twice. They are a shady company that is clearly taking advantage of a situation to double their profits at the expense of the consumer. Shame on you!

This is not my first storage space rental but it is definitely the best.I think this is mostly due to the manager Cindy. She lives on the property and is meticulous about cleanliness, surveillance and customer service.She actually answers the phone and helps with whatever you need. I was selling a recliner and she helped me plug it in so the buyer can see it works.Honestly, going above and beyond with a great attitude and smile. Where do you find that these days anymore!

We rented two storage spaces. The service received from Cindy and staff was suburb. I did not lock my storage units correctly twice and was quickly called by staff to let me know of my mistake. This storage facility is clean and well kept. I will gladly send business to Cindy. What a great experience just to know that my things are safe and being watched by employees.

When we couldnt open our lock, she immediately sawed off the old and gave us a new one. She directed us as to how to dispose of unwanted goods, and checked on our progress each day as we prepared everything to donate to a poor woman and her seriously ill husband who are Jehovahs Witnesses. Units are clean. Customer service is great. Units are expensive. I think they all are, it doesnt matter where. Too much money to store stuff tho. Probably cheaper to just buy new if Im gonna store too long. But for temporary storage, it works. Agreement is month to month. Temp controlled units very hard to come by. Secured lot with easy access and convenient hours. You do not have access for 24 hours, the latest access is 10pm. . Thats fine by me. Less chance of something happening to my stuff. Overall, great experience.

Cant say enough about the terrific customer service offered by Cindy, the facility manager at ExtraSpace. The perfect pitch of friendly and professional. She communicates information clearly. If a call-back is promised, it happens! Matters are straight-forward and easy when Cindy is handling. We would rent again based on Cindys management.

I would definitely recommend this place. We worked with Cindy who made the process so quick and easy. She had everything ready to go before I even drove back to the front desk, very sweet. Most importantly I feel that my unit is very safe with gate codes and nightly security checks.

We have always felt that our RV is very safe here. I see the staff out in the yard almost every time I come visit. It is very clean and I know if something is wrong with our RV they will call me right away. Thumbs up!

I work for a moving company, we go to this storage facility quite often and Cindy (the manager) is always on top of making sure we know where were going before we enter the facility as there are two gates and she makes sure we dont take the long/hard way around. There were no surprises moving from out of state to rent sight unseen. Upon arrival all was as agreed on and ready. Austin was very helpful in doing an upgrade for us on a unit with a fair price.

This place is great! I feel lucky to have found them. The store manager, Cindy is very helpful, approachable, hard working, kind and thoughtful. Cindy was a great help I had no problems with extra storage for 2months. Any questions you need she is the right person to talk to.

I had gone to one of their facilities and they explained that I could save money by going to their other facility near by. I showed up just before closing and Cindy was a little upset that the previous facility didnt explain she was closing. I explained my situation and told her I knew which size unit I needed. She took me to see the unit. She anwered all of the questions I had at that time.We returned to the office and completed the paperwork. She explained the rules and answered all of my questions. I felt well informed and confident about everything. She checked to make sure that my code to get in and out of the facility worked. She was very professional and thorough with everything. I felt that she appreciated my business and I look forward and confident about storing my belongings here. Over all, it was pleasant experience.

I Absolutely Live this Specific Extra Space Storage Property. They are very kind and they dont pass judgement or harass you. The staff members are all very good at there jobs. I appreciate and respect all of the employees at this property. Especially the in site manager. She is a doll and always on top of everything. She is no one you want to play hard ball with. Or even come at her sideways. But she is a sweetheart. And no one could do her job better then she can. She should be the face for Extra Space.

I rented a 10x10 unit from Extra Space Storage for more than a year.I would Highly recommend renting from them. Peter and Cindy are first-rate professionals. They treat everyone with respect and are very upfront with the entire process.The units are all immaculately clean. There did not appear to be any issues with spiders or rodents when I checked out, after using the storage unit for over a year. Pretty impressive! There is a pest control team that services all the property once a month.Overall, I would rate this as a top storage facility.You can’t go wrong with Peter or Cindy, either.

She helped me in my situation despite having reserved the wrong unit for my storage needs. Great first time experience renting a storage unit! Customer service was on point! Unit was clean and they still blew out the dust from the unit before moving our personal items in. She had extensive knowledge of the business to inform us better and was very personable and professional. Its also very well protected. They make several rounds of the units to make sure everything is ok and have several security measures in place for extra peace of mind. I would definitely recommend Extra Space Storage to anyone wondering where you should get a storage unit!
