I went there to trade my vehicle for a Prius. They argued with me about the code and remedy I had paid my mechanic to find for my vehicles check engine light without even diagnosing the vehicle themselves. On top of that, they said they are a Prius only dealer and lied to me about the NADA trade in price for my vehicle. They told me my vehicle was worthless and they were being very kind at offering me $1,800. As it turns out, it was half the price of the lowest level of trade.There are many better places to go for your auto needs. I ended up finding another Prius dealer who gave me $6,200 for my car toward purchase of a Prius. Plus, that place gets the privilege of doing the maintenance and repairs on my Prius.I will never step foot on Mad Hatter property again. I hope people look at ALL the reviews for Mad Hatter and see the deceitful and argumentative responses from Mad Hatter and avoid this business altogether.

Got my son a prius out the collection they had. Owner was very helpful and made my sons first car signing completely painless!! No dealing with big dealership salesman tactics for an extra $1 for their pocket. Highly Recommend!

I went to visit Mad Hatter as I searched for a new car. Although I did not purchase a car while I was there I was very impressed with the service I received. John was very knowledgeable and was not pushy at all. He had my best interest in mind. Will definitely be keeping an eye on Mad Hatter’s lot as I continue my car search!

I called to schedule an appointment for a. AC check up and I asked him if he could give me an approximate estimate on how much it might cost. He snapped back at me and told me that he doesn’t know nothing about my vehicle or what’s wrong with it so how could he give me a quote. So.. I guess I was just suppose to show up with a blank check and sign it over to him for what ever he felt like charging me. I am away Leary of mechanics who don’t want to give an approximate price for their services. Yes I understand that he did not know what was wrong with my car but him being in the business he should have an ideal if he would of asked a couple of questions about the issue. He could have given a caveat.. yes I understand ..but there was no need to be condensing I guess that’s why it is called mad hatterSo.. I drove by Madd Hatter and out side they had a sign that said free ac checks.. when I called he said he was going to charge me for the ac check .. figures

I was able to drop my vehicle off early so they could get started on it.

With my experience with mad hatter was exceptionally well. Was treated professionally and will definitely be returning to them for future work. Great job Mad Hatter.

EDIT TO INITIAL REVIEW: Do not trust anything these guys tell you! They told me more about my car in response to my review than they did while my car was in their shop! Unlike what they claim, I did not receive an estimate before they charged me, nor did I say I “didn’t have time for a diagnostic”, nor did they tell me that they would not be starting to work my car when I dropped it off for my appointment. Had I known they would “start on it in a day or two” I would’ve taken it somewhere else. Do NOT go here!! They will charge you without approval & take forever with your car just so they can charge you for “their time”. They’d rather lie to save face than perform good service. Dropped my car off in the AM for a diagnostic (which I made an appointment for). After a day & a half I decided to call to see what was taking so long (since in my experience diagnostics are always done within a day) & they said they had no information for me. They called me 10 minutes before they closed that night & said “hopefully” they’d know more Monday. Communication was poor & something felt off so I rushed to pick up my car before the weekend. They printed out the code scan results & said there “might be” something wrong with my transmission but gave me no other information. I was charged $150 for an unfinished diagnostic & zero concrete information. Took my car to Tuffys on Main st & they had the problem figured out & gave me an estimate in 1 hour then had it fixed by the end of the day. Also, they didn’t charge me for diagnosing it. Would highly recommend Tuffys on Main St!

I went there to get my cars steering problem fixed ( when I would go through a rain puddle) steering locked up. They had it 2 days 2nd day they told me it had to go through a diagnostic check. What does this have to do with my problem? Racked up $126.00 in charges. Shouldn’t they have checked belts etc.

If you want the best service and repairs look no further! My technician Brette knows his stuff! I got service and educated at the same time. It’s different service when someone working in your car both knows his work and LOVES what they do. Thanks again guys!

Fast friendly service and great to work with. We had an urgent Family matter and had to leave town quickly however our Auto needed repairs before we were able to safely travel. They got our vehicle in right away, fixed the brakes and exhaust and we were on our way safe and sound. Reasonable price and extremely considerate of our situation. Thank youMad Hatter and staff. On a recent trip, our engine light came on and stopped in. They were able to resolve what caused it and send us on our way. Great experience dealing with them. They are equipped with up to date equipment and able to resolve any situation.

We have a specialty car that most businesses will not service, so when John said they could handle our request for work we were very happy. His price and quick work was very appreciated. He did the work we requested within a couple of days. We will continue to use this shop for our work.

I will never take my vehicle here. If I could give zero stars, I would. Today I had my brakes go out. I was driving my husbands vehicle and did not know what to do. I had gone to Caseys to get brake fluid and they had none. They directed me across the street to a car dealership that they said could help. They were closed. I looked around and saw a brake shop!!! They should surely be able to help me! He coolly informed met that I couldnt get any brake fluid from him and that he couldnt get my car I till the next day. I told him I just needed to get home. He offered no help and obviously did not CARE at all about my problem and it did not bother him at all to let me go with no brakes and no offer of help. Thankfully I took a chance to ask Jiffy Lube right next door to them if they could sell me some brake fluid. They couldnt sell me any but CAME OUT TO MY CAR, ( still in the mad hatter parking lot) FILLED THE BRAKE FLUID, HAD ME PUMP THE BRAKES TO BE SURE IT WAS HELPING, and genuinely cared about my problem!! THANK YOU JIFFY LUBE!!! I will never EVER take any vehicle too Mad Hatter.

Real bad attitude. Nothing got done to fix the problem. 1 tire problems took 6 hr . Nothing but a run around. Very unhappy. Never again!!!!!

From out of town and they said they could get it in... called 1hr later they said we will call you click.. stopped back by 3..hr later he said they had looked at it and are working up a bid? I said for get it I will go elsewhere... he then said thank you very much for wasting our time... i responded in kind!!! Such a horrible first experience.. after we dropped my car off to get a new tire and oil change we get a call saying my car didnt start at all.. but my car was working fine the entire day. My boyfriend asked if it could be the battery and the person on the phone said the battery is not a reason why a car wouldnt start.. how? Cause that is the first go to when anyones car wont start.. then they said that they will tow it in the garage and diagnose the problem and get back to us. We called again and we were told that no one looked at my car at all and that no one told them to look at it when we were told it would be looked at a couple hours before.. we were also told my car would be done that day cause I needed it for work in the morning and then he wanted to say that they will get to it next week.. after all this I had enough and I needed my car for work so we went there around 10:00 at night and my car started up the first time we tried... I think they just didnt want to work on it... If you didnt have time to work on my car DO NOT say it will be done that day and then give excuses to why you cant work on it...

Stopped in today (Friday, Nov. 3rd) to see if I could get him to look at the exhaust pipe that connects to the muffler and give me a guess at what it might cost. He asked me what day worked for me and I said I just wanted him to look at it and give me a quick cost. He repeated the question and I repeated my answer. He asked me again and I said Saturday. Sign on the door said Saturday by appointment. He said if I wanted to be charged triple time. Was very rude. Would have taken 2 minutes of his precious time to look at it. Should have known not to go there. A few years ago was charged $400 for hooking up a couple of exhaust pipes and was very rude then. Went over to Midas and they looked at it and I made an appointment for Saturday Nov. 4th. And I wont get charged triple time. I know his ex-wife and its no wonder she divorced him. Couldnt give less then 1 star, otherwise I would have.

Had my SUV in here for a fuel pump replacement. While the fuel pump and filter were replaced successfully, I was left with two new problems. First, they tried to convince me the sending unit (tells the fuel gauge how much gas is in the tank) was faulty. I declined the repair knowing the gas gauge had always been very accurate until that point. Upon picking up my vehicle, I realized the gas gauge now didnt work. In other words, I bring it in with a perfectly functioning gas gauge, I leave with a non-functioning one. Coincidence? In addition, after leaving the shop I went to fill up with gas. As the tank is getting towards full, I suddenly realize gas is spilling onto the ground from the top of the tank. So now, I not only have no gas gauge, but I also cannot fill the tank all the way full without spilling gas all over the ground. This awesome repair hack job cost over $800. Nice job.
