Despite Covid, the owners have remained some of the most pleasant and helpful people to do business with. Its difficult to find ways to offer excellent customer service when the universe seems to conspire against you, but Ian and Rebecca have done just that. Excellent communication. Excellent cigars. Excelling in using creative ideas to make sure their customers, whom they love, are able to enjoy an occasional cigar. For many, its their only respite from the daily stress of this mixed up world.Thank you, for being an example of grace during adversity.

Ian down at Smokers Abbey is a great guy! If youre in the area and looking for the best selection of boutique small batch hand made cigars, Smokers Abbey is the place! Ian curated everything in his shop and knows what hes talking about. I havent had the time to sit and enjoy the lounge but it has a nice cozy feel in passing through. Highly recommended shop to visit in my humble opinion.

I love this humidor! Ian takes the time to treat you like a VIP customer and as a close friend. Selection is unlike anything in the area, and he has some outstanding smokes in his inventory. I have never been disappointed when I walked out the door. Regardless of if you are looking to pop in and make a purchase, or buy something and stay for a while, you will be happy you stopped by.

If you’re ever in need of a cigar in the North Austin/Cedar Park area, here’s your stop. They only carry “craft cigars”, but don’t let that stop you; they can find a cigar that fits the flavor profile you’re looking for. Ian can be kind of stand-offish, but is knowledgeable about every cigar in the humidor.Pipe tobacco that is not a house blend is expensive here, but they do carry Cornell & Diehl if you’re looking for some hard to find blends. If you’re in the market for a lighter/accessories they have the best priced available.The lounge takes up 3/4 of the store (not a large space) and the ventilation is much improved from when they first opened. The seating is very comfortable and you could spend hours here deep in conversation (or contemplation). If you do plan on sticking around, spend some cash and support this lounge; so few of this caliber are left.Red Horn (beer/wine) is down the shopping center and you’re more than welcome to bring in your beverage of choice, but it would be nice to have an option to order from the lounge.Overall, stop by and you won’t be disappointed.

I have never been into a cigar shop where you have to be babysat to browse the selection. Still, I tried, but the attendant didnt seem very interested in helping me as there were no other customers but he still kept me waiting. Wont be back.

The interior evokes the image of a rock and roller that studied christianity because its aesthetics were hard core, all without doing violence to either concept or look.i would give 10 stars if I could!

If Austin Texas were to have its say in what a Cigar Bar should be... it would fabricate a bar EXACTLY like The Smokers Abbey.First of all, as soon as you enter, the ears are greeted with vibes from all genres... there is no such thing as music you dont like there. Stick around... sooner or later, your jam (or something very similar) will come on.Second, the space reminds me of my apartment during Junior year in college downtown Austin: Warehouse district, vaulted ceilings, comfortable seats, space and tables on which to WORK (Oh My God!!)...A couple very large Televisions - at a volume that does not overpower a very long and meandering philosophical conversation.... Ive had more than a few at The Abbey.I have met some of the COOLEST people at The Abbey.Trey, a Cigar Rep for Micallef, was in there just yesterday. Really nice guy. A retired pro baseball player. A real estate buyer for the wealthy. Just all kinds of great stories and backgrounds.The Humidor -The SELECTION though... is what makes Smokers Abbey TOTALLY Austin.The normal selection from normal Cigar Bars is not what you will find here. There are 8 brands that are specifically home grown, Texas Brands (Black Label, Blackworks, Southern Draw, and a few others). You will also find Oscar, My Father and a few other Popular boutique lines... But what makes this store special is the Mt. Bonnell type cigars. The Zilker Park type cigars. The Congress street bats type of cigars... They carry sticks that you LITERALLY will have a hellova time trying to find ANYWHERE else. You may find them onsey-twoseys... But here is where they live.The Abbey is all about excellent sticks that do not have a huge footprint in the commercial cigar market. They carry a gob of limited production cigars and sticks that are made in small quantities, by what I consider to be artisan companies. They believe in pushing the limit, and walking the line of cigar blending creativity. You can also get great pipe tobaccos here. Red Horn is a few doors down, so you can enjoy your favorite drink while smoking (they dont mind you taking a glass down to The Abbey).The Abbey humidor makes you feel like a newby all over again! Thats not a feeling you can reproduce very often.... It feels, sounds, smells and tastes...wonderful.Do come enjoy it!

I’ve been coming to the Abbey for a couple years now and it quickly became a second home. It started as a great place to work remotely with great coffee just a stroll away. If you are looking for a place to just get an occasional cigar or if you are looking to make it a regular hobby, you will always be met with a warm welcome and extensive knowledge. Ian and Rebecca run a clean, and inviting spot and the regulars are just as friendly. Sometimes it can be intimidating to choose a cigar but they are encouraging and always willing to spend time with you to help you. Cigar veterans and novices are all welcome.

Wonderful place with an excellent, helpful, and deeply knowledgeable owner. Really enjoyed the recommendations and will be back by next time Im in town.

Smokers Abbey is great quaint relaxed well thought out shop with cool owners. Its definitely a must do again & again with friends or even by yourself. Plenty of seating & is very friendly for all who stop by.

I have been a customer of Smokers Abbey Austin for 3 years. Why? First and foremost the cigars. Each brand, line and size is curated like fine art. Talk to Ian and Rebecca (husband and wife owners) and you quickly discover the rhyme and reason for that particular items place in their inventory. There is rhyme, reason and purpose. Seeing the lounge, then the merch/checkout and finally the pot of gold at the end - the humidor, you understand the story and immediately know these people KNOW tobacco. Once lapping the humidor, I felt as if I was in a library. Although you wont see those brands that even non cigar smokers recognize, you will immediately want to journey into the many experiences that is presented. Grab your smokes, pair it with a craft beer from the brewery a few doors down, sit in the well appointed furniture and chat up the locals. #findrestforyoursoul.

Best cigar shop in Austin by far! Nice quiet location with lots of parking and right next to Red Horn coffee and brewery. They will always help you find the cigar you are looking for and there is a beautiful Irish pub style lounge to smoke and enjoy some great conversation. Awesome selection of Texas based cigar companies and special editions, specialty vendors.

Came in today to grab a couple of Tabernacles, living in one of the worst covid counties in the country La Crosse county Wisconsin it was nice that they actually take some precautions here. We are in Austin for a month to escape the crazy covid rate of our home and every cigar place I went to took zero precautions. I will definitely be back and this is definitely the only place I feel comfortable going back to! The Tabernacle was awesome as well! Appreciate the help abd the care!

SmokersAbbey is an amazing cigar shop. They specialize in small batch, local, and limited release cigars. They’ve got a large selection, but none of the stuff one sees all the time in cigar stores. Instead, they have a really exciting selection of high quality sticks I’ve largely never seen before. ... The owner is extremely knowledgeable and made some outstanding recommendations. If you like cigars this place is absolutely worth a visit.

If you are looking for a place to beat the heat and get out of traffic for a while, this is the spot. Warm friendly atmosphere, comfy seating, and a great selection of tobacco. The knowledgeable staff are not pushy and will help to guide you down adventurous roads less traveled. Humidor is well stocked and it is obvious that it is maintained with experience and care. Very happy with my visit, looking forward to the next.

I didnt expect to be humbled by a cigar shop, but today I was. Their cigar selection is eclectic and arranged with care, and the store interior is immaculate. I sat in there for maybe an hour and 30 minutes, and I couldnt find anything at all that was thoughtlessly placed -- the attention to detail is mind-blowing. Even something as insignificant as their bathrooms toilet handle wasnt left behind in terms of interior design. Upon my friend and I entering the store, we were given handshakes by the store manager, who was as cordial as can be, and immediately helped us with finding a cigar. I have no critiques whatsoever.

This place was incredible!! I went there tonight because Im friends with the owners (Ian and Rebecca Harvey) and wanted to support them. I was expecting your standard cigar shop. I got a total surprise, though. I walked in and was greeted by name (again, were friends). Ian then offered to show me around. We went into the humidor and this man knew everything there was to know about EVERY cigar he carried. Everything from how and where theyre made to what they taste like and even what they smelled like. It was awesome!Also, the greatest part is that you dont feel like youre in a cigar shop. You feel like youre in a really cool hangout spot that just happens to also sell cigars. I wish I had more than 5 stars to give them. Amazing experience!

New cigar shop off to a great start. Cigars are all craft (no mega brands) and the owners are good people who know what theyre talking about and take the time to explain and help you find something that youll enjoy. Large lounge area that is BYOB and has several big TVs for watching games. Red Horn brewery is next door so you can grab a growler and enjoy.

Best place to chill and spend some time smoking a cigar with the owners and patrons. Its my go to spot to drink and smoke.

Nice place, new, lounge area was good but the chairs werent as comfy as other places of been to, a little on the dark side for me, slim to none on the ventilation system (I had 1 cigar and felt like smoked 3 when I walked out). Selection of cigars seemed on the small side and no real major brands (they offer artisan and local brands). The owners I believe were working there and they were very nice and friendly. They did have drinks (sodas) for purchase. I dont remember seeing any pipe tobacco but wasnt really looking for it. A proper ventilation system and more cigar inventory would push this to a 5 star rating.

Friendly & knowledgeable staff. They dont carry the popular Acid brand that I typically smoke but they do have a huge selection to get the job done. Plenty of comfortable seating and they carry Topo Chico which is one of my favorite cigar pairings...non alcoholic pairings anyhow.

Great place, amazingly nice owners, and they have a really good selection of great cigars. The selection is not typical, but that doesnt matter; I would pit these owner chosen cigars over the usual store heros any day.

I just found this place. They said they opened in September. I am now back into smoking cigars again on occasion due to the relaxed atmosphere of the Abbey. Great leather chairs and a good cigar selection. So glad we now have a good cigar lounge up north.

I first came to this shop, not knowing what to expect. I immediately learned that it was run by some of the most knowledgable tobacconists in the area, maybe even in the country. Super friendly, down to earth and treat you like family, its no surprise why I keep coming back.They stock quality product, that I had never heard of before coming here, boutique is the word to use, I suppose, but I prefer dang tasty. If you feel lost, ask the staff what they recommend and I guarantee theyll find you something good. A++

Quite in the early afternoon, its the perfect place to come and get some work out of the way on the free WiFi while in the evenings the social aspect really shines. I have yet to meet a person I didnt like at Smokers Abbey. Their hours are perfect. They are in a prime location right next to Red Horn over here so you can get all the beer and coffee you want if the selection of soda isnt what youre looking for. Excellent selection of Texas companies and unique cigars. The staff is friendly and inviting. Ian & Rebecca, the owners, are incredibly knowledgeable. Love the warm inviting furniture and great atmosphere. Looking forward to spending time hanging out here.

My new favorite cigar shop. Not only do they have a good selection, but Ian and Rebecca have extensive knowledge of their inventory and if they dont have what youre looking for, they will suggest something similar. The smoking lounge has a great Irish pub feel, great wifi, and is a good place to work from. While they dont sell alcoholic drinks, they do have a nice selection of bottled sodas, and there is a brewpub a few doors down that you can bring drinks from.

Kevin was managing and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is awesome. I would highly recommend this location for an occasional cigar or for the connoisseur.

After experiencing the Mombacho line of cigars in Italy last month I was delighted to see that there was a cigar shop in Round Rock that carried the brand, it was Smokers Abbey. I finally decided to take the drive from the Ft. Hood area to check out this cigar shop. I was pleasantly surprised, this place is Awesome. Ambiance, casual, not smoky and smelly, spacious humidor, all the attributes of a great Cigar smokers Paradise. There are 2 cigar shops in the Ft. Hood area where I live and in my opinion this one has that certain something. The owner is an Ex-Rocker and looks the part, however he is a very nice gentleman. In my short time there I could tell he was knowledgeable about his products. Before you thumb your nose because you cant find the Ligas or Padrons why dont you expand your horizons and try some of the brands that he Does carry. Remember you dont know what you dont know. I now have to find excuses to take a drive to Round Rock more often. Smokers Abbey .....Ill be BackSteven
