A couple years ago I came to own a solid tungsten coin about an inch and a half in diameter and 3/16 thick. I sanded all the laser etching off and it was easy to imagine it becoming a top with a bit of machine work. I didnt know Butterfield Machine but was very familiar with their location so I mailed off my treasure and in about two weeks it came back machined to perfection!Early on it was all I could do to get ten minutes out of it which was about as good as my best copper tops. Quite disappointing, but I eventually discovered tungsten requires a little different technique.As of now Im only half a minute short of my twenty minute target!Good job Butterfield!
