Overall this super market is ok for the exception of the bakery lady. I have never seen someone so nasty and rude like her. She will not help you at all . I asked several times for baguette knowing that they can make it on the spot if they run out she refused to do it after I was fed up i ask an employee to do it for and she made it for him. I couldn’t believe it they need to give more hours to the younger folks who work there . There always kind smiling and very helpful like the young man rashad I love him he goes above and beyond to help everyone.
Giant has never recovered from being bought out years ago. When it went from local ownership to corporate, it was toast. Its fine for a quick stop to pick up something you need, but otherwise their time has passed.
Store is really clean and well organized. With the self checkout line, never had to long of a wait and have been able to breeze in and out.
Store was clean. The products I was looking for were in stock and the cashier was polite
I came many time to this Giant location. I have never had any bad experience until today March 23rd at 6:30p. The person that was working in the self checkout line, was an old guy showing a lot of attitude for no reason. I was trying to scan my loyalty card and it didnt go through so the system was saying to call a representative. When he came, he told me with a lot of attitude why Im calling him if I can just scan the card. He was very rude. I didnt want to make a big deal and complain to a manager just because it is an old person, so I just walked away without saying anything. But I felt that it will be very important to bring this to the attention of the Giant team in this location to prevent this from happening again. Unfortunately, This person needs a lot of training on customer service.Thank you!
Easy same day convenience for JJ vaccine in May.Also, super convenient that its open till midnight since Im a night owl!
Probably the nicest Giant location Ive ever seen.Well maintained, well stocked, very clean and organized.Friendly, helpful staff.
Good service. Nice employees
Prices are more expensive than Walmart but they have some better products here or there
Rented 2 different cars from them.. good place to get a car from!
As always, a clean well stocked shopping experience.
This Giant Food rocks! Excellent customer service! Will shop there again.
They used to have a commercial, love my Giant. Yeah. I really miss that. Still a great grocery store, have pretty much everything regularly needed. There are a few items that I need to get elsewhere. Not the least expensive store though.
Clean, a lot of parking and nice variety of food and services shops.
In and out. Well stocked.
They can have some good deals at times with their weekly specials and the online apps. The problem is when you get to the register it doesnt always recognize the weekly specials and then you have to go to the customer service desk to get it straightened out. Lot of dysfunction going on. Always check your receipt when completed.
They have been a grocery store staple for over 35 years. They are convenient and clean. Oh use their app.
Asare, felissa and
After a rare rare trip to Giant I am reminded why it is I dont shop here on a regular basis. Their prices are significantly higher than any other store, even for the Giant brand vs name brand elsewhere. Today the produce was a little lacking which is unusual for them.
I come here because its close to where I live, and Lotte is always so busy. Its clean in here and the variety of products is pretty good, but Lotte definitely has more. The customer service though is shaky. I come here when its relatively slow, but they always seem to be running low on bags. Some of the employees also seem to be uninterested in putting in any effort or providing good service. There have been a couple occasions where I have gone to check out with a cashier, and a couple of the cashiers will be talking to each other and seem to be unaware that people want to check out. But at the same time, there are some employees who are very friendly and helpful.
This Giant has everything available. Good sales, and I dont have to drive all the way to Herndon to get good deals. Union Mill is way too expensive. I REALLY like this one.
I found some great deals. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Great staff, been going there since I was little and they all still remember me.
There was a problem with my card and when it took off items from my card and a fradulent charge left less in my account then I thought I had the night supervisor around 630 said there is nothing we can do I said I wouldnt come back and she said ok. So ok I wont come back I doubt a cooperation cares so fine my 2 to 300 a week can go to another grocery store good for them
Exelent all ways.
Honestly the only reason I have ever used this store was convenience of location. Every time Ive come here the customer service has been awful, and on multiple occasions employees have been arguing with one another in the middle of the aisles. Pretty normal to not be able to find what Im looking for. And if you are purchasing something that requires assistance at self check out then best of luck to you. Ive watched employees stare off into space instead of coming to the blinking beacon light to help me.
Clean store, helpful staff, nice pharmacists, and the PNC staff are great
Hae is an amazing employee she goes above and beyond for customers to make sure everyone leaves happy. She is an example of the perfect employee.Love this location and everyone is simply great.Thank you.
Good place
Its a supermarket! Just like almost all other supermarkets. But this one is actually pretty busy and they keep it very clean.
Everyone wore masks and the self-checkouts had barrier shields. Prices were decent and it wasnt crowded at the time I was there; there was no wait at the checkout.
I been going to this Giant for the past three years and always had a great experience from the minute I walk into the store until I leave. Well, today was not the day. Today, I decided to checkout with one of the cashiers because I had a lot of groceries and most of the time I go with my husband but today he couldn’t make it. Cashier by the name of (Stacey) was the one that checked me out today. When it was my turn, she didn’t even say good morning, how are you nothing, not sure if she didn’t salute me because I am Hispanic who knows. Anyways, at the end she told me the total I paid and while I was leaving a white lady was the next customer that she was going bring up, (Stacey) said to the customer “Oh Hi, how are you? How is this morning treating you? And I am like what the heck seriously she didn’t salute me like that. I don’t know if the cashier assumed that I didn’t speak English or what but she was also in a bad mood. I also work in customer service and no matter how bad my day is going, I always treat all my customers the same, I don’t have preferences for any of my customers. Next time (Stacey) at least say good morning to every customer you encounter.
Very clean, obviously has been updated recently. I like that its small and not super crowded all the time. The reason I o ly gave it 4 stars is because the layout is a bit different and doesnt make quite sense to me. Dairy is completely on the opposite side of the store as the other refrigerated and frozen foods.
Nice clean and well stocked
Reeks of mouse urine and feces towards the back (towards frozen food section)
Pretty good place, in the middle of remodelling that seems to be making it even better. The produce is usually good quality, with pretty good selection.I couldnt did something (because theyre in the middle of a remodel), and it was offhandedly mentioned to the register, and within 20 seconds another employee had gotten what I was looking for and brought it to the register. Very helpful.
Clean, Giant recycles plastic bags which I like 👍
While the quality of the produce is very good, some of that is offset by higher prices. Also there is an annoying announcement about social distancing and wearing masks that has a very 1984 vibe to it that constantly plays over the PA system.
The store was recently refurbished. It looks very good. The self check out line was expanded.
Hours say they close at midnight but I showed up at 10:30 and the doors wouldnt open. Thanks for wasting my time because youre too lazy to update your hours.
Contrary to what they say on the outside of their building, they do not have low prices. In fact, they have the highest prices of any grocery store in the area - by far. That includes Wegman’s, Shoppers, Walmart, Target, and Costco. They recently remodeled their store and it does look nice. So at least you can see one place their are putting those high revenues to work. They also recently started carrying artisan breads in the back which are reasonably priced and fairly tasty.
Store is clean, employees are fast service is good.
Its a good giant in a clean area.
Ongoing renovations at this Giants. The shelves are well stocked. Not as many sales these days and the prices are higher. However, I do like the improvements.
Great grocery store for a great area. As busy as the area is and dealing with so many people on daily basis its amazing to see the associates interact with tje customers with such patients and enthusiasm. I was at the self-checkout lane yesterday and before I could flag done an associate to assist me, this young lady(store associate) came over with a smile in addressed the issue I was having. Again just a great friendly store to visit.
Good as always. If they fixed the prices I would shop there daily
Prices were great after the discount... Youre going to need a card to get the savings. I was new to the area and hadnt done much self-checkout. The lady was very helpful and even bagged most of groceries
Decent selection of organic food and gluten-free options in comparison to other Giants in the area. I also like their meat options, they always seem to be well stocked and have good prices. We have used their curbside pick up several times and that has always been super convenient.
The landscape requires grooming but the aesthetics of the interior match the beauty of the wide array of items they hold.
Union Mill Giant is much, much better. Definitely worth the extra 3 minutes of driving to just go to the one in Union Mill instead. Was followed around the store buy a manager like I was going to steal something. The funny thing is, I make way more money in 3 months than that guy probably makes in an entire year.
Good prices, some great deals occasionally. Cashiers are rare. Customer service is okay. The pharmacist lady is really nice and helpful.
Parking is a bit crowded, always some sort of fundraiser or charity right outside the entrance asking for money. Does not carry all Marlboro brands of cigarettes. Could have a larger selection of IPAs and offer glass dishware in their utensil aisle. Great selection of food, soda, and ethnic ingredients. Includes a bakery, floral section, seafood area, coinstar, and redbox. All staff is very friendly and helpful and theyre never short on carts. Recently remodeled.
It was alright
I avoid this Giant location as much as I can.Why is it that this place does not have cashiers at the register. There is one check out lane with a cashier and that is only for 12 items or few... So you go buy your weeks grocery. You have a entire cart full of groceries; you are responsible for the for check out and bagging them. And God forbid you need any assistance for any reasons. Apparently it is a big inconvenience for the employees to help you.If I have to bag my own grocery, while a cashier is just staring, standing and waiting in the next register for folks with 12 items or less. I would rather go to another store even though I have to drive little further.
The pricing is only discounted if you have a member account. Not exactly making it a pleasurable in and out shopping experience.
Decent prices, but could do better. Would be in trouble if Kroger ever came to the area. Employees are great and very helpful.
Overall, a great store. It is always clean, staff are helpful, and there are plenty of self-checkout registers to ease wait times during rush hours. They also have the scan it self checkout available, which really speeds up your shopping and checkout; it is well worth using for medium to large trips.
Good quality produce and meat, great selection. Salad bar is OK, but they never have any new soup options, it is either chili or wedding soup. Occasionally they have chicken noodle soup, but the chicken is shredded (yuk).
Staff tends to be nice and helpful; clean store
Love this store. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. When getting meat hope you have Seyla. Shes great.
Its fine. They have stuff to buy. Usually pretty good deals but not great if you dont like walking into people staring at their cell phones in the middle of the aisle...
Nice customer service ❤️
Great costumer service
Today I visited this Store and I saw an employee giving a Hand Sanitizer to a customer, the stocker employee took it from one of the pile boxes on the aisle; when I approached to her and asked her for it, she show me two boxes of mask, but before answering her she took them out of my eyes and gave them to that customer too!!! When I asked her for Sanitizer she said Sorry I do not have any more. Of course I did not believe that. Very Bad!
Staff are helpful and friendly. I live close by, so I use their store a lot. Staff are like family.
Its very big and great selections but you can tell that the workers slack off on paying attention to things around the store that are either old or dirty. Just make sure to pay attention to what youre buying and check those expiration dates!
I was using the pharmacy service and the assistants were extremely friendly and helpful.
Practically no one follows the one way arrows so might as well get rid of them. Useless.
I always shop at this Giant. Always find something on sale and they have great customer service. People that work there will even say hi to as you walk by.
This store already remodeled. All items keep better than before.
Easy parking,I salute the associate whom working collecting karts in parking lot . He made my day before I got to the store.
Is good groceryAnd good attention. I love Giant food
Overall not much of a savings and I had to bag my own groceries and there was no return in the parking lot for buggies. Ok selection of organics and gluten free. Might as well just go across the street to Trader Joes.
So so
I just visited the Giant Pharmacy at St. Germain Dr. and I am so grateful and pleased with the Pharmacy Manager, John and his staff of pharmacists, Rajat, that were working today. This was my first time picking up a rx at this location and it was the best experience with pharmacies that I have ever had! Thank you again for making my week! Happy Holidays!
Ease of navigate the aisles. Found everything with little traffic. All store personnel very helpful
Its a giant grocery. not giant as in size, but giant as in name. still confused? Lets say the name of this place was Large Food. I would then say, its a large grocery store. not large as in size, but large as in name. got it now?
Its just simply where I do my shopping. They have a good selection and the employees are very friendly.
Produce is often to frequently inadequate. Overall pricing is expensive, selection is poor. It is the closest store I will l Iikely not shop there again for produce or specialty items. Quick small purchase items is all I will make and only under emergency circumstances.
The selection of food is pretty good. The vegetables are hit or miss sometimes. I go to both here and Wegmans.
This place is great.friendly staff at least every time Im there
Clean but under staffed. Electric cart never charged every time I go there! They show also try cleaning them every once in a while.
They even had hand sanitizer which has been out of stock at other retail businesses.
I had a good time at Giant, the vegetables section is the best, great groceries. Bread section is my favorite, actually now am drinking juice and some pumpkin pie from this store, it worth it.
Decent prices, spacious open store and friendly workers. A Better grocery store in Centerville.
Always great specials and very friendly customer service
Better than Shoppers down the street. Good produce and organic selection.
They are remodeling so some things are hard to find. My only complaint was that they only have one attendant who had access to the self checkout overuse. This causes a large back up when two or more registers need help at the same time.
Very well stockec!
Good place to get food has good prices
Very neat and well organized. We have been shopping here since 1998.
Helpful people .. good products!
My foster puppies have bad tummy so I stopped by this Giant for canned pumpkin and of course got a few other things I was running low on. The layout of this store and it’s cleanliness is always fine. But truthfully the reason I don’t shop here regularly was proven today. I had my 4 month old baby strapped to me as I struggled to checkout since they only had one human cashier. Then I watch the front in guys standing around chatting as I scanned my items. By time I was finished scanning and started bagging all my items I watch as the heavy set you get guy checks his hair in the reflection of the formula case and then passes me for the third time to help EVERYONE but me! He’s clearly poorly trained. Help the elderly, pregnant and moms with young babies first in that order. I was in shock and I won’t be back unless I’m desperate.
Always have great prices on water
Aisles were blocked and employees ignored customers....but was clean and easily accessible.
Didnt have everything I was looking for, but it is Giant and I feel its a pretty nice one at that. :)
While shopping with my 5yo daughter in this store today, I accidentally bumped our shopping cart -- one of the ones with the toy car in front -- into a display. An older stock person nearby leaned down to my daughter and said very cheerfully, Are you a woman driver? He clearly meant it as a joke, and Im sure in his world it was a friendly thing to say. In this our modern world, however, it is absolutely not okay to propagate negative gender stereotypes to other peoples children. On the next aisle over, my daughter turned to me and asked in a small voice why the man had made fun of her. At the time, it seemed best to deflect; I convinced her that the man was in fact making fun of me, and had just made a bad joke. She seemed to accept this, but the episode clearly disturbed her for the remainder of our time in the store. In any event, this was clearly not the experience we were looking for in the dairy aisle, and Ill be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
Good
Poor produce selection.Seeing as they dont have cashiers on staff, you would think they would pass the saving along to the customers. Not the case however. More expensive than surrounding grocery stores.
Giant is a great store. Shoppers went out of business, and Wal-Mart is too far away.
