I had the worst shopping experience today. One lady who were at the counter was not seemed happy with me and my wifes present at the store.As I came to the store, I was looking at her face and she seemed uncomfortable with something and kept avoiding my eyes.I picked a pair of short pants, and my wife picked a shirt and a cap for running. As we were standing a line there was a man before us. The lady at counter told us hysterically that that was not the line supposed to be formed. I was just standing a man behind who already were there and formed a line.So, we moved to where she told us to form another line, and the lady asked how we wanted to pay. I replied credit. The line she asked to stand behind was line for cash customers. Therefore, we had to move to the other counter to pay. I did not say anything against her.Finally, at the counter, she told me there was no price tag on my wifes hat and asked me to get the same hat with price tag really rudely. It sounded more like she ordered me bring another one. At that moment, she was not the only one who were working at the store. And the store was not busy at all. I saw another male employee was back.I do not want to use the store again because there was no respect to their customers.

I went to buy rollerblades and they didnt have any, only a few like two styles for kids only. But they did have a lot of good sales on shoes

Went to look for a treadmill and they did not have displays. The guy showed me their inventory on a newspaper. the guy was really nice. Im a former treadmill sales representative from Sears. Its sad that there is less and less customer service everywhere. Everyone is expected to go online.

As always very well stocked...I went looking for possible weights to add to my stacks...what I found was a cool shoe on clearance in the men s clearance area...from pellet guns to punching bags...from athletic shoes to baseball equipment...from tennis racquets to pro team gear...this store has it all...portable basketba courts, bench presses etc...it is across from a Subway and really close to the 605 fwy...next to Cerritos Mall and across the street from a slew of great restaurants; amongst them BJs, Olive Garden and Peking Wok....ive been a patron of this place for years...I have always found a great selection at great prices...the staff is always friendly, professional and willing to help...they approach you and ask if you need help...I recommend this store to any athlete or weekend warrior...and of course any family man or woman...

Clean and extremely organized, it’s like a hidden gem of Big 5s. I walked in, was greeted with a smile, made my way to the boxing gloves, they had a few on sale and I got a pair suitable for my needs. The line moved fast and I was notified of an option for a percentage off on my next visit I signed up for emails. I’d definitely go out of my way to go to this particular location again.

Everything is cheap goods. I bought earmuffs and they did absolutely nothing for me. I wanted to return and they scrutinized the product for being used. Of course I tried it on and it was useless and expensive.This taught me a lesson to buy quality goods elsewhere.I left that garbage with them when they didn’t take it back. I wouldn’t even attempt to sell to someone else. None of their products I would endorse. Complete thumbs down.

Store is packed with merchandise. Sales associates were outstanding with the level of service. I needed a product requiring a ladder to get to. The worker quickly grabbed the ladder and got the product. I then moved to Youth softball cleats. Another worker asked if I needed help. I told him what I needed and he went to the back and brought two options. Both these men were attentive, kind and quick.

Its small everything is constricted. But hey you get what you get out of the space provided. The fact that I found what I was looking for in the size I needed was a cool fact. The cashier was cool about letting us try on the item. I almost didnt buy it because it was still too big, but I made an exception because it was something that could possibly be adapted somehow. Good buy, good price.

Shoes and sporting equipment abound at Big 5 at very good prices. All of their goods are great quality and you will walk out feeling satisfied with your purchase. Only reason I gave this a 4/5 is because I wish the stores were bigger and more common.

They probably deserve only three Stars but I gave them 4 because when I went to pay for my shoes the lady was so nice and even offered me a discount when I signed up with their app when I went to the back to try on some shoes the salesperson was helping someone else when it was free I gave them my size and the type of shoes I was looking for brought me two pair of shoes neither one fit me so I asked for 2 more larger size guess my feet have grown a lot I needed a half Size bigger wow the salesperson told me theyre over there in the corner I went towards the front of the store couldnt find the ones that I wanted but I found some other pairs different style I was happy with those and they fit went to the front so it salesperson fiddling around with other stuff maybe wondering why you didnt continue to help me since there was no other customers there as I stated earlier I went to the checkout and took care of business thanks

Cerritos store pretty nice when they have the one day sales though there sold out before sale starts

Clean and organized space, staff were willing to help and were very polite. Not much in terms of selection for specialty items like optics but there is a general selection of sports and camping gear. Kinda hard to find this store without using a map or getting directions but that isnt the fault of the store.

I think this Big 5 Sporting Goods location is suited more for people who know what they need to get, pay for it, and leave. This location seems somewhat short-staffed, but I can say the workers are usually pretty helpful when I ask for assistance. Selections are somewhat limited (this is one of the smaller Big 5 locations that Ive been to), so keep that in mind if you want to give here a try to look for something specific. Parking is somewhat small, but Ive never had a problem finding an open parking spot. If youre unable to find an item here, then you can try Dicks Sporting Goods (at the mall next door).

Didnt find all I was looking for,as they didnt carry toddler boot sizes and that was fine, did find the rest of the items I was searching for, for our camping trip so we proceeded to the register to pay there was a young women dark long wavy black hair,she started scanning our items, I gave her my phone so she could scan my coupon all was fine till I smelled something funky, this was a serious stench I asked the hubby if he let one slip and also the kids and they all said no they usually claim them and are proud.So were still waiting on this woman to finish ringing us up so we can leave as we can no longer stand that horrid smell and again we pick up the stench and my hubby says:God damn who is it? and she just looks dumbfounded and keeps moving around,(at this point we know its her)I thought that was totally unprofessional and disgusting for her to be doing that and having us wait around for awhile to smell her toxic gas ANA NEXT TIME JUST EXCUSE YOURSELF INSTEAD OF DRIVING CUSTOMERS AWAY WE WONT BE GOING BACK.WHAT YOU DID WAS JUST DISGUSTING AND UNCALLED FOR.

Good place for your sporting and leasure needs. Better if the item you need is on sale. Collection and selection of shoes are best that I know for hiking, running and walking, even work boots. You can always find one not far away in SoCal. Clerks are always helpful. Selection of clothes a little limited but has something for every sporting needs. My go-to place for sporting needs.

A smaller of the Big 5 chain stores. Customer service was mediocre at best. Needed help with a store sample item and manager seemed less than enthusiastic to help. I have it three stars because I found good deals on floating lake loungers for an upcoming trip.

My wife and I went down to grab some cleats for our daughter. We werent greeted by any associate. At one moment the assistant manager was arguing with another associate about another associate. Anyways my wife and I headed to the shoe department and low and behold the best associate named Andrew was there. I he was extremely helpful, even when we had to switch and try a variety of sizes. Thank you Andrew for being the best worker in the entire store, great customer service, helpfulness and being able to keep up with multiple customers. if it wasnt for him we would have given the store a 1 star.

Cashier check only our 20s visually and run through a machine but no one else. Im not use to this kind of service. Needs improvement. Thank you
