My favorite Indian/Pakistani place to eat. Although they have really bad service, their food is out of this world!! I love their chicken tikka masala, their Bihari chicken, mixed grill platter, nehari and naan! I can eat here 3x a day if I could :). I have 3 extreme picky kids and no one complains when we go here, so this restaurant is a win-win for us all! Prices are very reasonable for all that deliciousness. There is also a next door grocery store if you want to pick up any Indian/Pakistani spices or meat. Overall great food but bad service.
Typically when i find restaurant I really like I keep going back but eventually run into problems with consistency. So far I have not had that issue with Zam Zam. The chicken is always hot but tender, the curry always tastes fresh, and the nan is always perfect. The location might be out of the way and the restaurant is hidden inside an old strip mall but it is always worth the trip. I highly recommend.
Great placeHalal Tahir chickenHalal meat goat and beef plus ground.A lot of Pakistani groceriesNice people
...zam zam chandler (NOT to be confused with zam zam phoenix) is owned/run by qamar...he has owned a few locations here in the phoenix metro area...if qamar is in a good mood, he can cook the most delicious punjabi food in arizona...if not (and he can get some dark moods), get the nearest taco!!!...chicken dishes (both with and without gravy are sumptuous and spicy)...so are the beef kababs...veggie dishes are limited in number (like daal/adas/lentil, chole/chickpeas/garbanzo, mixed veggies) but tasty...samosas, tikkis are acceptable...chai needs work...naans are well made...overall, a simple, delicious, flavorful, must-eat at punjabi restaurant...but, he needs to elevate it to the level of his previous Copper Kettle restaurant...
This is a great place for Indian/Pakistani groceries. They offer hand slaughtered halal meat as well. Call ahead just in case no one is there because store hours are subject to change without notice. Now thats authentic Desi.
We got Sindhi Chicken Biryani and Bihari boti Kababs. The food is awesome. They also serve Nihari and Haleem. There a grocery shop next to the restaurant. They also have meat section where they get Tahir Chicken. You need to give order 6 hours in advance if you need Tahir Chicken being used in the Biryani. Over all very good experience.
Lady cashier is the best. Thats the only reason for giving 3 stars. You can get the HALAL meat there with better prices than competitors. Hard to find any other grocery items besides meat.
Ordered the Chicken Makhani (butter chicken) and my friend had the Beef Nihari. We enjoyed both dishes and will definitely be coming back. Portions of rice/naan were plentiful and combined with the meat dishes we were both quite full, we are not small guys.Attached to the restaurant is a small grocery store for international foods with a butcher counter for fresh cuts.
Not opened till 1120, and timings were 11 am. We were coming from tempe, waste of time n gas.
At the first moment you come to this place team give you an enjoyable feeling. Very friendly team, it is a good restaurant to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. delicious cuisine, skillful chief cook and stuff, good cost and excellent service. Highly recommended.
Super low prices and fresh meat.
Zam Zam has great optionsfor SouthAsian food flavors and Teas! Nextdoor is Copper Kettle for excellent take out Pakistani and Indian food! Experience good international flavors!
I ordered chicken Beriani and nehari, the server gave us old food she said was from yesterday which the meet was so hard and not even apologize or anything give me another which she said just cooked but chicken meet still was hard, bad customer service and mean people. would never give them my business again.
Ordered take out. There were no labels on the dishes, and we had a really hard time figuring out which was which. Both of the vegetarian dishes we ordered were more like a soup or a dip, but came with no bread or anything to dip in it. They were so spicy, I couldnt eat either one. To top it off, the dessert we ordered wasnt delivered. We will not be ordering from here again.
It is an indian/Pakistani grocery store with a small restaurant on the side. The food at the restaurant is excellent. Dont go here for the atmosphere or to impress anyone. This place serves delicious well prepared Pakistani/Indian food perhaps one of the best in all of the area. Five star for food ... Ambiance not five star by any means.
Our Pakistani friend took us here and it was delicious! I was having an off day but the food here was so heavenly that it completely turned it around. Thanks!
The grocery store is clearly overpriced and understocked. Worse, the owner doesnt care about price tags. We got ketchup - the bottle said $3.99 but the owner insisted that it was $6.99. The paneer was priced at $5.99 (their own sticker) but they charged us $7.99 for that.Never going back again. If youre in the area, youre better served going to other stores like Patel Brothers or the like.
I been there once about a month ago and had some of the best and most delicious food in my life, I traveled to tons of countries around the world and this place is really one of the top places on my list. i cant wait to get back there again.
The food menu is really awesome!! I love it! Good and cosy environment but hard to find next to the shop.
COVID WARNING!!! STAFF DOES NOT WEAR MASKS WHEN PREPARING FOOD!!!
Had a fantastic and delicious lunch! Thank you so much 😍😊
Best Indian food. Family owned and I rate them 5 stars because you are not paying $25 bucks for one meal. All the negative feedback is from his competitors and racist people. Zam zam has been serving us for years and I have zero complaints and 100% of complements for them. Grocery fresh meat and fresh food all at one stop.
Great selection of halal Tahir meat for purchase at reasonable prices
Love the meat selection and their restaurant next door has great food. My husband has got dinner from there multiple times and we have never been disappointed!
Its a small asian grocery shop but has basic stuff. Meat is really fresh.
Extremely tasty tandoori chicken - just as good as the ones in India. I dont think I have had a version as good in US ever. The spicy white onions and the cilantro dip were top notch too. I will be back.
Chicken Karahi is on spot. Best one Ive had in the valley so far.
I was here last in 2014. I think that the food was better then.Too much oil in the food I had last night and didnt taste that special.Staff very friendly though.
You can find good meat, specially baby goat . I tried Chapali kawab, Sindhi biryani and naan, they were awesome!
Good taste, but inside environment should be more cleaned.
I must admit it that I was so stupid to give a visit to this restaurant after reviewing the restaurant feedback, the minute I enter I should walk a way because it was empty in weekend that enough red flag. Long story short the food was made last night I can tell from the taste of the rice and the owner was extremely rude no smile and I wasnt comfortable with my wife the entire restaurant empty and he didnt like us to ask about the menu you can tell from his reaction. He let me pay before I even eat which is weird because he is not a Macdonald or KFC...I regret to visit this place and I dont recommend anyone to go there or be idiot like me !!!
Authentic indian food. Really fantastic, i come about once a week. Owner is always pleasant and its worth the 25 minute drive from tempe. The indian restaurants in tempe here dont give you much goat in their goat dishes, charge to much and it isnt as good. Zam Zam all the way.
I always get samosa from here and it is good. But the customer service is bad. Owner is too rude
Excellent place to have food nice clean..and very friendly environment...the grills are excellent ......anyone who thinks he wasnt serve right has to realize its all self service ..since ur paying ..$10 for meals ..
His goat karahi is the best in town
The food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely go again and bring more people and also post pictures. So happy that a delicious indian/pakistani restaurant is in chandler!
I usually get baby goat from other Desi stores, as it was available here I just dropped in today sep 15, and got a shoulder. I came home with meat to cook but it was very badly stinking and rushed back to return the item. The shopkeeper defends as fresh meat and very reluctant to accept the reality. I just left the meat on his cash counter and walked out without getting any refund. I would caution all Indian friends not to buy meat here as we dont know when they cut the goat and how many days they store. There is no expiration date for the goat meat sold here or elsewhere. Dont buy meat from this particular shop as I had a disappointed experience. The rating for meat products it does not even deserve to get one star
Good desi store. Has everything you need
I was there today and its amazing food authentic taste I had chapli kabab and bbq platter and I couldnt finish it. They do catering as well if you decide to throw a party. I am traveling for work and if I was living here this would be my only choice.Owner has been in this buisness for 20 plus years and believe he he knows what he is doing. Dont expect waiters as alot of other restaurant you order at the counter and they will bring the food to your table.I am very happ I found this place I drove from casa grande and I will drive again a few more time before I leave for Canada.
The Chicken curry was great! Definitely will be back
Poor service. I ordered a nan(bread) with some entree for to go and they wrapped the nan in newspaper. Yup newspaper and i only saw that when i came home. Secondly the entree was priced at 6.99 on the menu but still they charged me 7.99 as they said price is changed. Too much oil in the food. Really bad experience never going back.Update on owners comment:Newspaper is not a hygienic way to wrap food as a lot of people would have touched them or thrown them at unhygienic places. Printing ink used on newspaper might lead to food poisoning.Oh by the way i never got the change back and never asked as it was just a dollar. My point was you cannot charge someone more than listed price and if i wouldnt have noticed it was all cool.
Good food reasonable price, good portion sizes, nice staff and friendly service.
Good variety of Indian subcontinent groceries and halal meat.
My friend recommended and it was all worth going 25 miles.Food is good.
Great hummus. left full and happy.
Amazing! My Pakistani friend brought me here because its authentic Pakistani food! The first time Ive had biryani - omg! I love their biryani (i hear theres obviously a lot of ways to prepare it, but this one was great) their barbecue and garlic bread were also great. The yogurt (sauces) were a great addition. The spices that went onto those foods...mmm! Im coming back with the family, often! Thanks for introducing me to Pakistani food, friend and Zam Zams!
Friendly staff and nice collection of halal stuff including snacks
Its a very nice and cool place with a lot of variety staff is good and things are available at cheaper price.
From the moment we walked in the server was not happy. I ordered a few entrées the tikka masala was okay. The dal lentils tasted like dirty beans. Those are all things I wouldnt write a review for but What really pushed me away is when the server brought out sugar for my chai tea he didnt notice that the container for the sugar packets was full of ants which started to run out and on to the table. I waited around for the server to to check up on me. I was the only table there, but he didnt come back so I just walked out and will Never give them my business again.
Food taste is very good. We love their Chicken Shish Kabob.
Food is 2/3 Nihari was super hot that my tounge caught on fire and my house burnt down.ZamZam I want a refund and a new house.
The food is delicious especially for the price. I even ordered delivery through uber and it was delectable. Shish kabob on naan sandwich and a chicken tikka masala, and veg samosas. They were all outstanding. Cant wait to try other dishes!!UPDATE: this is still my favorite restaurant in the Valley!!! 11/6/19UPDATE: still my favorite in the Valle 9/29/20!! Amazing throughout COVID. Super happy.
Great food.. Like the kabobs and karahi...Updating from 4 stars to 2 stars.. the quality of food has gone very bad in the past year. Im not sure whats going on but I used to live this place. Eg: biriyani tasted if metal, the karahi www not bad still though. Also the grocery store is giving me concerns. It is the second time I am trying buying rice from there and seeing insects in it. The quality of the halal seem to be the only thing keeping me from ditching the place
We were in town for an event, stayed just down the street. Loved the food, highly recommended - all made fresh and hot.
Highly disappointed with recent service. No matter it is busy or not you have to wait for indefinite period. I ordered two items Shikh kabob and goat Haleem for take out. After a long wait a stone faced man delivered these items. At home we found Haleem was just like water dumped with some masala. It tasted very bad and we could not eat.
Nice and clean Pakistani eatery and grocery store.
I just shop mutton here and it is good.
Its ok, quality went down and prices went up, no idea what the new owner is trying to do here, ruin it or what. The sheesh kabab doesnt taste right, its not all beef, maybe a lot of bread in the mix? Please keep the standard high otherwise you will be like the rest of the empty Indian restaurants
Smells. Dirty. Very unclean
One of the good shops to but Goat meat
I will never go here. We had a dinner for 20 guests. The food was cold, service was very slow. And in the end the owner was rude. Pathetic resturant.
Chicken achari and chicken biryani was 🔥
You can get halal, fresh meat and chicken here.
Perfect place for a perfect dine out
Good food good service will be back again
They have fresh meat with nice price.
Good food good price
Food was really good.
Worst place. Arrogant owner. Avoid it.
Need to have more items
Great food..
Chicken handi is their speciality.
This is my go-to pace to get halal meat...
Never going there again.... Worst customer service ever. Walked into restaurant and stood there for few mins without anyone being around.
This place is always understaffed. Always. Phone system on loop.... with only one person on. Badly run.
Ok food. Not the authentic taste.
Unbelievably bad experience. Never going back.
Tasty food
Indian food!!😃
Food is nice and simple
Good people
Called to order and guy saying, “I am busy can’t make it.” Very rude customer service, avoid going this restaurant.
Alright
Best burgers
Great food.
Great people

Not the biggest selection but on the whole it is nice. Covers most of the basics. Clean and very friendly customer service.
