The rudest people I ever saw. I went to the same shop in LA and the girl there was the best. But please don’t ruin your day and come here. They should change the name to worst service to remember.

There is one thing that can be remembered from this store, lack of customer service. I work at the mall and decided to stop in during my wedding week to find a nice gift for my bride. There was one associate working the store, and she was beyond rude. I found a frame that I liked, with a price tag of $30. Shocked by the low price, I grabbed the associate to clarify for me. She talked down to me as if I were stupid for not understanding how her shop works. She had nothing helpful to say, and didnt even care to ask about the purpose of the purchase (Im here looking at your wedding section, come on!). I hightailed right out of the store without purchasing a gift for my bride. Luckily, I found a few other shops on my way out of the mall that fit my needs, AND had good customer service. In the age of digital shopping, Cx is more important than ever. Food for thought

This is the only store in the entire state of Arizona! I drove over it an hour and a half to get here, Not only do they fail to tell you theyre charging you per letter & per word but they are rude And very disrespectful, I told the lady she can stop being so rude Im just trying to ask questions and trying to understand and she tried to argue with me and tell me that shes not being rude and that I didnt know what I was talking about. No wonder all the locations shut down if this is how theyre going to portray their business!I do need to point out that I called 2 and 1/2 hours prior to finally arriving at the store to verify that Im able to stop and pick up and take home and item today because i am driving over 1 &1/2 hours to get there... But when I get to the store she said that its a minimum of waiting a day and I wont be able to pick it up until tomorrow but I have to pay for it today, she never specified that i could order it online so it would save me the 1&1/2 hour trip either!!! I do need to point out again she never explained that there is a charge per word, symbol or letter. In the middle of our conversation about what i wanted engraved ..she answered the phone without saying excuse me or indicating she was going to answer the phone. She was rude to the lady on the phone as well! Then became bery demanding about the font i wanted as soon as she hung up. I had told her hey i am just trying to get information and she didnt need to be so rude, well she started yelling about how she was not being rude.I wanted my peice done since it was a gift for a person but since she NEVER explained it would be cost per letter/symbol/word. I though 38$ was way too much for a 1/2inch x 2 &1/2 inch name plate after finding out the charge per word/letter/symbol jacked the original plate cost of 9$ was up to 37$.She became extremely rude and cruel when i pointed that information was never disclosed to me and she replied that is how we do things, you have to pay for it. I wanted my paper back but she said the company must keep all our info for their use WOW no wonder all the other stores in the state have permanently closed! Go somewhere else save yourself the hassle.

Ordered items and was told it would take up to 4 hours to engrave but if they got it done sooner she would call me! I told her I would stay around mall since I live a distance away. 4 hours later I returned to find out it would be another hour but I was next in line to have the engraving done according to the store manager Sylvia! I returned in an hour to find out that they had not started my order. I explained to another clerk that I was told I was next for engraving an hour ago! She became very rude! I sat down in a chair and waited about 20 minutes before receiving order I placed 5+ hours earlier! I will never shop at Things Remembered again! I work retail and would never lie and treat my customers this way! It also would have been good customer service if an associate would have called me and stated they were running behind!

I drove 1 hour to pick up engraved flutes in honor of my parent’s wedding anniversary. The associate that acknowledged my presence rudely stormed off to bring my order from the back, dropped the bag on one of their display cases, and walked away. No double checking the order, no confirmation of customer satisfaction, nothing. After inspecting the order on my own, asking for a clean box with no dirty finger marks, and questioning why the flutes were so filthy, I hightailed out of that store. Never again. Things Remembered? Yeah right.

I needed a US Navy Challenge coin engraved for my daughter who just enlisted in the Navy. After calling around, I found that Things Remembered (Chandler Fashion Mall, Arizona) had the best pricing and shortest wait time of all of the local engravers. While in the store I received superb customer service from Kim, Holly, and America. ALL of them were professional, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. I do have to send a special thank you to Miss Holly who stayed past her shift to get the coin done while I waited! I had an all-around positive experience that this Things Remembered store. Thank you girls!

This was one of the worst retail service experiences I’ve ever had. I am a COMPLETE DETRACTOR from Things Remembered and will NEVER go back in store (expect to pick up my stuff that I paid $70 to engrave). I should’ve asked for a refund and left.This is the Only Things Remembered location open in the greater Phx area and I don’t think it’ll be much longer before they fall into the heap of other companies sliding into the retail apocalypse.I planned me day entire afternoon around this visit; drove 20 miles from North Scottsdale, so I could have engraving added to champagne flutes I purchased online a while back.The main issue at the store is the Manager, Jeane, who said she has been working here for 20 years! What a huge miss in the buyout by Enesco, after the company was saved in a Chapter 11 buyout!Jeane’s behavior with me today is just a snapshot of how she likely behaves in her everyday life and with other Things Remembered customers. She was extremely rude to me, argumentative, unhelpful, did not set expectations or engage me and other guests in the store. She let people walk who clearly had buying intent. Jeanne is your biggest squeeze affecting your bottom line in the AZ market. She’s sinking the boat.Honestly, I could’ve done this all online and saved myself a lot of trouble or just taken it to an engraver. The way they run business here is not as a retail shop, with customers who come in needing a guide. It’s an engraving business and you don’t come for the customer service. You can buy champagne flutes and collectibles anywhere these days. I felt compelled to write a complaint because this experience was so poor I almost couldn’t believe it.

The worst customer service.Updated 1 year later:Not the best customer service yet, however the service was faster than before the pandemic, better communication, the right attitude towards a customer. Also, there are new faces in the store that are pleasant and willing to welcome customers.

The lady that was so called assisting me was very rude and unprofessional and I did notice that I was the only person she treated that way. I have shopped at many locations for well over 15 years however this was my first visit to an Arizona location and I will not be back

I am utterly impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff here. They are very prompt when fulfilling a request from their guests and always smiling and cheerful. Love the rooms! We have the two queen suites. They are well equipped and comfortable to boot. A small microwave would be the only suggestion I could make. Thumbs up!!

Holly from the Chandler location was a horrible employee to have my first experience there with. She was nice at first, but barely helpful. She did not explain to me the process of how things worked. So when I went to pick up my items, they were not the way I wanted them. So I went back to tell her because I know for a fact that I had told her verbally what I wanted, and even wrote it down. She made it the biggest deal in the world because she was supposed to be leaving and had me pay extra for it to be on there, when it was her mistake. And blamed me for not going over which font I wanted to use. I was willing to do pay extra, and even take the blame for it. But on top of that, she had an unnecessary attitude towards me. I finally get the items today, and the engraving is lazy and definitely not appealing to look at. For this she should not be behind the counter. She cant get things right, and has lousy customer service. I like the store and would like to continue going there. But not if shes going to be there. I will be calling corporate to see what can be done. And possibly get a refund, or a whole new item.

I ordered a money clip and the words on the front are going in the opposite direction of the words on the back. Didnt think someone would mess something like that up. Luckily I bought this for myself, but I recommend going in store, which is now what I have to do, to avoid any disappointments.

Horrible customer service. I have no idea how anyone that works there still has a job. Multiple employees gave wrong information and the wait time changed from an hour and a half to 4 and a half hours because of their mistakes. I cancelled my order and drove to Scottsdale Fashion square and they completed the order in 10 minutes with smiles on their faces and great customer service. I wouldnt let the Chandler location engrave the name plate on my birdcage after this experience.

Employee with curly black hair provided awful customer service, he kept using his phone instead of assisting and would hardly answer questions.We had boxes engraved and although the employee told us that boxes would not be provided since items were on sale, at least there could have been tissue in the bag to prevent boxes from scratching each other. Also one of the engravings wasnt centered and can hardly be seen. I am annoyed by the lack of service delivered by this individual.This reflects badly on things remembered as a company and I would suggest improving training for employees. I had a similar experience at the AZ mills location suggesting an endemic problem within management of this companies retail locations.

I am writing this review in the hopes that the manager of this store will put more attention into whom is assigned to receive customers. A gift was purchased from this store with special engraving requested, verbally and in writing on your engraving forms. The service received from your agent Holly was rude and rushed. The engraving on the bracelets purchased was done poorly with no attention to the details on your form. The gift is now ruined and at best, a refund should be issued.

Really liked this place. We got a frame that said grandma and were had a custom message put in on the bottom. It really wasnt as much I thought it would be. They dfi have alot of items, including Disney snow globes and Disney frames. They also gave mugs and tumblers, or lockets and everything can be engraved for a small fee of like 13 for the first word, then 3 bucks per each other word added. Grandma loved her gift fyi

I went into the store on the 18th to pick out a present for my boyfriend. I didnt have time to wait in line that day so I was told I could come back the next day, and even have it shipped in time for Christmas if I payed rushed shipping. I thought that was perfect so came back the next day, and had very friendly service while filling out the engraving paperwork. All of the sudden one of the other employees started being very rude to the employee that was helping me out. Once I get in line, the same rude employee is the cashier, and starts complaining to another employee out loud for everyone in line to hear. She continued to go on a rant about how fed up she is with her work, and how done she is with Christmas. My mother and I just started because we were so shocked at her behavior in front of the entire store. Once I got to the front of the line, I asked to have it shipped, and Instead of politely telling me they can no longer do shipping, she goes off on another rant that they cant ship anymore, and gave me very nasty loud attitude. This employees name is Holly.I have been buying presents from things rememberd for over 5 years now, and never have I had such a bad experience in the store. And never in my life have I dealt with such a rude, and bitter employee.Something needs to be done about that woman.

I am new to Arizona & in the stage of familiarizing myself with shops, products, & trends.I am glad to find a shop that can personalize (engrave) gifts to friends & loved ones. And that is Things Remembered.A month ago, I looked on the reviews & saw that the Chandler Fashion Mall branchs customer experiences werent good.Even if its far, I went to Arizona Mills branch & bought my first Things Remembered purchase.I had a good experience with a lady.I still got to purchase gifts for my wedding entourage but driving to Arizona Milla is such a chore for me, I decided to go to the branch near me & that is in Chandler Fashion Mall. I thought of trying & if staff wont be accommodating, told myself Ill go back to the other AZ Mills.I was surprised to be looked after sooo well by a young lady who stood by me & kept checking me out if Im getting the ones I need, always attending to my questions & giving suggestions.By the time I came back to pick up the engraved merchandise (that was this morning, May 23), I realized I needed to purchase gifts for grooms men, flower girl, & ring bearer. I hesitated because the young lady isnt around (I still dont discount the bad reviews I read & thought only that you g lady is an exception).I was very well assisted by 2 ladies & that gave me a big surprise. They were totally accommodating, always willing to answer my questions, very patient as I was finicky.Today, Things Remembered staff in Chandler Fashion Mall has changed my impression & truly turned me 90 degrees to a very well done customer experience.Perception (& moods) are factors of good & bad customer satisfaction. The staff of TR have shown uniformity in treating customers well. They do deserve a 5 star!They certainly WOWed me!!!Keep up the exceptional customer service & that sweet smiling face!!P.S. I am terrible in remembering names, sorry for not being able to mention their names.

Christian at the Chandler Mall, Things Remembered has the worst attitude of any retail employee I have EVER met. I came to this location for work to get a plaque for a man who we hired after 11 years of not working. He is quadriplegic and we designed a position for him which he is excelling at. While I was there I got a second plaque for another outstanding member of our staff. I spent 2 hours wandering around the mall while they finished them. Funny since they didnt seem to be doing much work. Once I arrived the girl told me she had made a mistake. The font on the second plaque was all the same, the name line wasnt changed and it looked very poorly done. I asked to see the other. Christian tried to put it away in the box and send me on my way. I asked again and again to see it. He finally handed it to me. It was wrong. Recognizing him for, Exceptional Training, instead of, Exceptional Performance. The girl who was handling my order said and I quote, Yeah I guess I wasnt like paying attention or whatever. No, Im sorry. No, I apologize. Just, nope not paying attention. Wow. I looked to Christian like...REALLY!?! He said they didnt have any more in the store, I was welcome to pick another and he could have it done in the morning around 10, or tomorrow sometime. First off, I dont like the others, thats why I picked this one. Which is probably why they dont have any more. They are the best in the store. Furthermore, the meeting to give this to this man is at 8:30 am tomorrow. It takes him 3 hours to get to the office by city bus and he usually works from the assisted living facility where he stays. Mind you, my company is paying for this, I dont get ANYTHING out of them refunding it...but, I asked him to refund me, give me the first plaque, I would give it to the outstanding employee in the meeting, (written completely wrong) and we would work on them replacing it for all this trouble. He refused. I told him fine, then just give me my money back...I will print him a certificate and put it in a frame for crying out loud!!! This is RIDICULOUS! Nope, you paid cash. Yes, I paid cash....so? Our company policy is not to refund your cash. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?! I have my receipt, you didnt give me what I paid for, and you now refuse to refund me??! HOWWWWWW is this legal? Things Remembered youd REALLY better do something for us. Seriously. I am asking that you replace the awards and refund all of the money. Not out of charity...out of PRINCIPAL. This is crazy. And while you are at it, fire these dimwit employees, at least Christian. No one should be subjected to this sort of treatment. I cannot tell you how rude he was, almost screaming...hand in my face in front of my 10 year old and my husband. Appalling. No wonder your stores are closing. I am complaining to Chandler Mall, to corporate and to anyone that will listen at this point. I dont understand how you can do business this way, even once.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! The lady with the short hair was extremely rude, she acted as if it was a complete bother to help me and basically do her job! Then she explained to me that i was get a text in an hour to pick up my order....never got a text, which was fine i went in about an hour and 15 minutes later and asked if they we were ready and her attitude was so rude i couldny believe it, this lady definitely doesnt deserve a job in customer service at all!!! There are more people out there that are willing to work with a positive happy attitude then this lady acting like she has a stick up her ass all day. I rarley write reviews but hopefully someone reads this and will do something about her because she wi make you lose business, i will be going to a different store to have any work done that i need now, because i dont want to even encounter someone like her when im out enjoying shopping.
