This is kind of a strange location, hidden back from the street, but well worth finding.The store itself is clean and well maintained.The staff is friendly and cheerful.The produce is fresh and nicely displayed.The prices are good, especially with the membership discounts.There is a wide variety of products, and as a plus, there is a Starbucks in the store.

Always overpriced but nice for small things at a time

I popped in for a few supplies. Milk and OJ. I love their seafood salad the one in the deli area. The check out staff are friendly.

Always has what I need but they use more express check out than actual check out lanes. Really sucks to pay high price and ring yourself out. Staff is really nice generally.

Safeway has always been good, this time there shelves were not as stocked and quality and meat prices not so good. Hopefully we will be getting some Norbest turkeys this year.

Their deals to get you in the store are awesome. A quarter for a carton of eggs? Yes please! The only reason I remove a star is that their water dispenser charged me without giving water and they couldnt refund me since its a separate company. Id prefer that they solve whatever they have in their store and reconcile with the vending machine people for us so there is just one point of contact.

The app was not working today and my deals didn’t come off which I understand that there was a technical issue. What was rather upsetting is how I went to customer service to get my items fixed and felt rushed and felt like the customer service manager Crystal was not the friendliest. I am a Safeway employee at a different store and also work customer service so it was a real bummer to feel like this. I explained to her for the second time that she didn’t fix my item. I still didn’t even get the correct money back. I honestly just left and didn’t ask her to fix the rest of my items because I felt bothersome to the lady. Very poor customer service.

I love this grocery store, weve been coming here for many years. Great staff, only thing Id recommend is a remodel perhaps.

I have been shopping at this Safeway for years now and it’s always a pleasant experience. The past few times I have shopped I have been helped by a cashier named Tylonia and I just wanted to say how great she is. She has a wonderful energy to her and has made my experience that much better. It’s nice to have interactions with people who are that caring and kind. Keep shining Tylonia!

I need to update my review because the experiences here just keep getting better and better.This happened on 4/24/2021 around 3pm pstAn amazing show of character happened in this Store today. The cashier Bobby, was ringing up a young lady who came up short 3 dollars. She had red roses and was 16 or less. They were obviously for a Mother, Friend or someone that needed support. Instead of turning her away, he reached in took out his wallet and paid the 3 dollars for her. She was so thankful, and as the guy behind her, I thought it was a beautiful moment of compassion and humanity especially in these times.When talking with Bobby afterwards he said he had done it before for a lady trying to buy her baby some baby food. That is real special and rare, for a young man to be so incredible like this. He was showing Gods glory, and I wanted to make sure that his kindness was recorded. He does your store a strong service as it is experiences and people like this that make people like me keep coming back! I love this location and all the people that work there.Your special Bobby! Keep it up that kind of kindness, it will reward you well in life!

This store is behind/ to the side of Home depot. Its a gem of a store. Clean, well maintained and courtesy staff at the ready. This is my go to when I need a must have .

Real friendly employees and very helpful

I come in here to deposit cash into my Chime card and theres always seems to be a problem. This time the person behind the counter didnt know how. He suggested I wait for the next shift. Thats it for me. Ill be avoiding this store in the future. He either didnt know and should be trained or didnt want to bother doing it. This is exactly why Safeway will be gone in 5 years. Overpriced good and awful customer service.

This stores bakery has terrible customer service. For something special like having a cake made there, the manager in bakery section had to ruin it and treat people rudely. Not only she not take the order, she didnt let me speak with another employee to give the order saying she is the manager there. She even hangs up on the customer.

Out of just about everything I came for and am disabled and only 1 Smartcart that worked. The one I had would not keep going forward and to back up most of the time!!

Found 80-20 ground beef for 1.99...Got 10 K cup pack of coffee FREE..Steakems for 2.99...some great specials when using your Safeway card or your phone number.

I use to love shopping at Safeway, but lately customer service is definitely lacking and they do not have any cashiers after 8:00p.m. The employees were complaining about their jobs in the deli area and up front at check out. 😞

Always love Safeway. Best customer service in my mind. Better meats than frys and walmarts and usually good deals on meats too. Use the Just for U on their website/app and save tons. I just spent $$340 and my bill went to $208 with all the coupons online.

Very clean and welcoming store. Staff very prompt and friendly when needing assistance or questions. I found all items I needed.

I just needed a birthday cake for work and I was in a huge hurry. I have been here before and remembered seeing the cakes... I was totally impressed with how fun and fast they were with great prices. I didnt have time to look around and shop, but I will be back. The cake is awesome!

Grocery delivery needs improvement. Groceries never showed up during time slot offered by Safeway. No notification sent to reschedule. Following day, I had to call customer service to be told delivery couldnt be made for another day. I order groceries when I need them and cannot wait 2 additonal days. Suggestions to Safeway:- Dont offer time slots you have no chance of delivering on- Notify customer if you are going to be late and offer a reasonable reschedule window.

Safeway is almost as good as, and much less crowded than, Frys and WM. Their personnel are very helpful. The pharmacy staff is especially conscientious. Right next to Home Depot too. However, their meat is not nearly as good and their refrigerated produce is poorly marked. 5 slices of chilled watermelon should not cost $8.95 so they mark the package at $1.99 and dont tell you that is per pound until you get to the register.

Not the best variety in items, despite other stores being fully stocked again. I tried coming here a few times in the last couple of months and have been disappointed every time. I didnt even buy anything on my last visit and just decided to go to a whole nother store all together.

Service manager at register was very helpful but sadly the seasoned steak bought wasnt good :( . Prices were very confusing on items pizza in freezer section and a few things were gone in fruit section . Must be a busy location

Food is good but you have to work for it. The computer ordering is a nightmare. My password only lasts about two times and then they do not seem to recognize it and I have to start all over.

Their prices are just way too high than other restaurants if you get the click and save and only that they have some good deals. I can go to Walmart and get everything dang near 30% less

I am writing today, 4/2/2020, about my experience at this store. The manager, Justin, is doing a great job! Remember not to get a cart from the parking lot. Why? As soon as you enter the store, a Safeway team member presents you with a clean and sanitized cart. During my entire visit, I saw many employees cleaning every surface in sight and cleaning all shelves before adding new items. All customers were mindful of physical distance. If the entire company is following the same practice - Kudos! I will be returning to this store.

Its like they have no employees working anywhere in the store, aside from at the very front near self check every there is like 10 of them just standing around talking. And the employees that are to be found throughout the store are of no help whatsoever, as they know nothing about whats what in their own place of employment

Theyre expensive. The produce though is usually pretty good. The chicken counter is slow. The employees there dont seem in any sort of rush to help the customers.

Place is the best. Have great selection..but even more...the people who work here are all just so friendly and happy. Great staff. All smiles. I wont ever go to Walmart anymore.

I am writing this in solidarity with the many people who are currently employed at this Safeway on chandler blvd in Arizona. as an employee at this location myself I am absolutely horrified with the way they are treating their employees. as none management employees we work very hard. lately most people who are none management have seen their hours cut drastically. some people who have a family to support are getting 20 hours, maybe 15, and sometime even less. how can you be expected to support a family when you are given less than 20 hours a week. thats a little bit more than 800 dollars a month. managers Jessica, and Justin, and Robert have not been listening to our concerns as our hours are still getting cut. its appalling. I beg the customers to please think twice before shopping at this location. I have talked to the employees at the alma school location and they are not having to deal with the same situation. I will be updating the situation weekly for anyone interested. please Stand with these grocery store employees who are just trying to make a decent living. next time you come In if you decide to shop here please mention it so maybe a much needed change can happen.
